Ha Trish, it's been a long time for me too. Kinda hard to paddle with a bump! I am nooooo Layne Beechley, just love having a go! Prob wont even be able to catch a wave anymore i'm that unfit! Might also be a while before my wetsuit fits! LMAO

Rebecca- Can you walk around the loungeroom with her inthe pram. No you are not a bad mother at all. Sometimes babies just cry, who needs a reson when you are only a few weeks old. Hope she calms down. Have you tried some music? If she is getting you agitated with her crying then putting her down is probably best, i am sure L can sense if i get stressed and it makes her more agitated. Sorry thinking and typing, not very organised thoughts!

Rebecca - Aww, hugs to you. There is no way you are a bad mother! It is obvious you care very much about Caitlyn. Like Ange said, sometimes babies just cry. If she keeps it up for more than a couple of days, maybe get her checked out in case there is something making her cry (like reflux, colic, etc...). That way you may be able to solve things and get your sanity back. I totally sympathise, Joel used to scream and cry during the day unless I held him. We discovered at 10 weeks (10 LONG weeks!) that he had a dislocated shoulder (birth injury that was never picked up). I was a teary, tired mess by the time we found out. We got him fixed up and it all worked out. We did end up using a baby hammock though because the motion really helped settle him. Have you got a sling you can carry her in to keep your hands free for a little while? Hope you get some peace soon.

Ange - Your comments could have come straight out of my mouth! I think I will have to invest in a new wetsuit as I doubt I'll ever fit into my old ones again. I am not a good surfer, I just go out for the fun of it (gotta love the white wash). I have a mini-mal so at least I get to stand up on the odd occasion I get to go out. We have foam surf boards for our two boys, we can't wait until we can teach them. How funny would we all look going out surfing together!

dam Tyron has taken a backward step again with the bf. Cannot beleive im going through this again.
2 days ago i didnt drink enough water and felt my supply was lower then normal. yesterday i made a point of drinking lots (about 4litres i think) but he was still a fuss pot. carried on latching, then when he eventually sucks he stops gets frustrated or just does silly little sucs not proper ones.

then since thismornings feed a cannot find my pride & joy my life saver nipple sheild. I am sure Nixon has posted it somewhere he hides everything, but now im dreaded the next feed cause i havent tried him back on the original nipple sheilds since i got him going on the medela one.

my supply is fine, its just finally got to what he needs and not double, so i wonder if he is carrying on becuase its not over flowing like it was. i cannot keep the supply like that though it was way to much and the pump went back thismorning, my gf gave me her advent one but dont plan to use it a whole heap like i was.

saffi- i missed whats going on but hope your alright?
Kim- that sucks the appointment was cancelled i'd be annoyed also.

Dont wake her!! Its always the way hey... they get to sleep just on feed time.

Jasmine is sleeping now but we have to go out. She probably will doze off in the car (thats if she wakes going from bed to the car)!

Oh I am not going to wake her trust me - I am going to try and get some sleep myself! But she normally wakes up on the dot of 2 hours. Although sometimes she lasts 3!
Trish - she HATES her sling with a passion! Although I think that has a lot to do with me not knowing how to position her in it properly. I have a carrier which I thought she hated but I had her outside with me in it this morning hanging the washing and she had a little nap. But as soon as I took her out of it - AWAKE!

Went to the dr appointment, they rushed Ryan to hospital because I mentioned sometimes his leg gets a little twitch for 2-3seconds like if u scratch a puppy dogs tummy. Waited there from 11-1pm to see the dr, then couldnt see the pediatrician had to see his assistant who said he looked healthy and didn't know why the pediatrian had rushed me up there!! Now I have to see the specialist on the 12th to go get a bunch of tests done if it hasnt disappeared by then and one leg is slightly more bowed than the other so may need a leg brace if it hasn't started to straighten *sigh* poor little guy wasn't a happy camper. He's gained 1.4kgs in 5 weeks, held his neck when they pulled him up, pushes himself up when he's on his tummy, takes steps ok etc etc he's even started to make little sounds this morning he said "dada" and at the hospital he said "baba". He's gone back into his normal sleep/feed cycle now he's geting more food each feed. Sleeps from 10-4most days.

    Hey guys
Im confused...... What has been happening? Is everything ok with Saffi? Some very confusing posts there...
That sux Kym! Now your like me and have to wait through the whole weekend before you find anything out. What else is the appointment meant to be for? Is it just her hips or a general checkup?

Celtic - Im sorry ot hear about Ryan too. Its horrible when you know there is nothing you can do for them hey? Keep us posted.

Celtic - I hope Ryan is all OK, let us know how he goes.

Becky - Some posts were removed which is why it seems confusing!

Very boring day here, I want to go out, but at the same time I can't be bothered! Can't wait for DH to come home for the weekend so it will be easier to get out and about. Gave Kieran a bath before to extend his wake time because he is always so sleepy after his 3pm feed. He seemed to really enjoy it more this time, he hardly carried on when I was drying him off and dressing him.

Just a quickie... you have all been chatty, and posts missing?!

Kaylee has been very unsettled this week, getting worse as the week progresses... Last night she didn't settle until almost 11.30pm, and for a lot of that she was crying so hysterically. She did lots and lots of farts and a couple of very pooing nappies = so I'm guessing she had a tummy ache. Am wondering if she doesn't improve if I should take her to the Dr or to see the CHN at the clinic on Tuesday?? We have been giving her the Brauer Colic Relief for a few weeks now - the lady at the chemist said we should probably give it a break - but how can I, when she is so obviously still suffering from colic. The CHN did mention awhile ago that often one colic product will work for a bit, then stop working - should I try something else?? Although, once she did settle she slept until 5am, resettled by 6am, and slept until 9am and has a couple of good sleeps during the day today... She did also have a very bad pimply rash on her face, which looks like it is starting to clear up. Last night and this morning I put the Weleda Calendula Lotion on it!

Becky - you are NOT a bad mum! And I can totally understand, sounds lot like my little Kaylee.

Can't remember what else I was gonna say...

Oh, Ursula - hope you feel better soon chickie!
