Nelle- It has been colder last few nights, getting down to 12-13 degrees, I've started putting Ashleigh in a warmer sleeping bag. Maybe just chuck an extra blanket on Ruver before you go to bed.
You must be a great singer if she asked you to sing at her wedding so don't stress. I'm jealous I would love to be able to sing, I always think I should go to singing lessons but too embarrased that they'll tell me I'm a lost cause!

Rach- yay for Jack sleeping longer. I'm lucky with Ashleigh in the fact she will wake for the day around 8am and then plays in her cot a little while while I get bit more rest.

maz- I'm thinking bout you maz, hopefully its nothing, just one of those things. Couldn't they have organised an u/s earlier to put your mind at rest?

Kell- Enjoy your time with your parents, you'll prolly get a good break cause I'm sure your parents will want to play with Jesse all the time while you relax.

Annie- We looked at about 10 places but there was really just the one we fell in love with, just seems perfect for what we're looking for and our price range.

Jodi- Thats fantastic Nina is sleeping well again, maybe Ashleigh won't be far off, at 7 weeks Ashleigh was easily doing 8 hours night but now its 3.5-4. But I'm working on it.

Nessa- Lol bout the crab crawling, be so cute to see.

Not much planned for me today, might just walk up to the shops grab a few items.
Gotta get my lazy arse into gear.

ETA: Thanks for all the 6 month b'day wishes girls. Can't believe shes already half a year!

Nelle we thought it may have been the cold as we are waking around 4am most morning to pull the wool quilt up so he must be cold too, he was sleeping in boxers and little singlet tops with a muslin over him, but I think long pants and t-shirts may be the way to go, now to go shopping a buy some more

Jodi jack goes down anywhere from 8-30pm to 9.30pm last night he went down at 9.20pm on wednesday nites we are out till 11pm and he has a nap at darts then comes home has small bottle and drops off no probs

Shell Jack has always been a good sleeper it was just those 6am wakes up that I was not liking really killed my day they did, and with the weather getting cooler overnight brrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!

rach - I sometimes think if Nina went to sleep at 9'ish, she'd sleep in till later too, then I would be able to sleep in till 9 or so but we've tried to keep her up, but she insists on going to bed at 6! So I think I gotta get used to 7.30 starts to the day. I like my sleep in though.
I've been thinking about the sleeping bag too. Which ones to you girls use? It doesn't get really cold here, it can get down to 12-15 degrees, but I think it's normally 15-20 degrees in winter. I have started dressing Nina in a body suit with short sleeves and long pants though. I think that's why she's sleeping better. Her legs always get cold overnight.

caddie - good luck with your cat scan. And naughty naughty millana! Hopefully she gets out that habit soon cause in winter it'll be mighty cold at 5.30am!

    HAPPY 6 MONTHS PAIGE!!

chrissy - hope all is well with you too.
Rach - they can move can't they! Even when they're not crawling yet.

Got a question for you all: is everyone still using their monitors (for those that have one)? It's just that a girlfriend said yesterday she used hers a couple of times, but she could hear everything her bub was doing, and every time he woke up, which annoyed her, so she stopped using it. They always have the a/c on, so therefore have their brm doors shut. Therefore, can't hear him. She's always said he's slept through since 6 weeks and never wakes up ?!?! (dunno about this one), which got me thinking, she probably can't hear him if he does wake up. We still use our monitor, cause Nina is on the other end of the house, and even with all the doors open, we still wouldn't hear her (or I wouldn't trust myself to hear her while asleep). so...is everyone still using theres?

firstly update web page with pics of where he got oo

Jodi we have a angelcare sound and movement monitor and yes when he is in cot it is on, and the parents unit is on when I am in bed, at Agnes we just use the main unit though this last time I used the parents unit as well

I will continue to use it till next bub come or he goes into a big bed, have actually thought of getting a cheap normal monitor so I can hear him when I hang otu washing etc

We never had a monitor, so nope Our bedroom's next door to Riv's though, so you can't miss him if he's upset.
He wakes in the night, I'm certain of it, but (apart from last night) he resettles himself. We have his door shut too.
We have friends who have their part of the monitor in the middle of their house, so they aren't disturbed by their daughter's snuffling and singing to herself, but they hear the monitor if she's crying. Pretty clever I thought!

    Thanks girls!

Paige is in the room next door to us, but we sleep with the fan on for our own white noise...so I do have the monitor on, except it's turned down really low so I don't hear the snuffles and chortles. If she really want me I will hear her.

It's not on at all during the day, except if I go outside when she is sleeping to mow the lawn etc.

Well Ashleigh has had a bad day today, has reverted back to screaming at nap time. Had to just settle her on the boob then the bloody lawn mower guy starts whiper snipping around all the units and she was awake again. Thankfully now she is asleep and all is quiet, for how long I don't know.

Hi ChrissyT great to see you again.

jodi, we never used a monitor cause Ash is right next door to us and I have some 6th sense to her cause whatever noise she makes I wake up, but I sleep thru other noises.
With sleeping bags I have different ones, some thick and some light thin ones. I bought one of e-bay and the others at BigW, Target check out those stores and see whats out.

One good thing this morning, for the first time since starting solids 2 weeks ago Ashleigh actually opened her mouth when I brought the spoon near!
