thanks for your thougts girls, craig got transfered yesterday to john hunter in newcastle, that is the major hospital in our area, as his chest pain had not eased so they got him out and in a place with more medical equipment/doctors, and its only 50 minutes from here, so that is so much better, he is still in heaps of pain, and sooooooo drugged out, he will be off work for at least 4 weeks, but could be longer.

I went into centerlink yesterday to apply for sickness benefit, and also thsy told me i was also able to get a parenting payment so i applied for that as well.IT was so caotic with all the floods in newcastle/central coast, everyman and his dog was in there, wanting assistance, there was 5 lines for all differnt things and around 30 people in all of them LUCKILY for me this woman came up the line asking what you wanted, i tod he my hubby had a heartattack and i need some forms to apply, she took me from the back of the line, and took me to one of there officers and they did all the paper work there and then, so i was EXTREMELY happy with that.

sorry this is all about me at the moment........im struggling with how im feeling at the moment, as i was about to leave him with all the things done and said when we had our BLOW UP, i just diont know how im supposed to feel.......sorry that probably doesnt make sence i know

Wow - lots has been happening - let's see how my memory is...

Firstly Chrissy - you have been through so much - really hope Craig has a speedy recovery and good that he is closer to you now - I guess over the next few weeks while Craig recovers you can take the time to think carefully about everything - hugs to you.

Nessa - how is your friend going? The reason I have to go out of South Africa and back in again is that we can only get three month visas at a time - DH goes in and out all the time up to Malawi but Rylee and I havn't gone out since we came back from NZ so we are due to go out again.

Maz - not good about the blackouts - like Shell said keep up the fluids and try and eat as often as you can - healthy snacks.

AnnaT - really hope the second trimester comes quickly for you and you feel more like your old self.

Rikki - So sorry to hear Ainsleigh being sick again - hope this is the last time in a long while.

Rach - wow on Jack's molar - wtg little boy!

Annie - we look forward to hearing about your holiday when you get back on track.

Hello - to Helen, Anna, Belle, Nelle, Jodi & Sharleen (if your lurking), Meg, Shellbell, Caddie, hope i havn't missed anyone.

Anyway, I am up at 5.30 am tomorrow morning to get ready to depart, be back Saturday on BB.

To all the those girls who hardly put on any weight when you were preggers - wow - I went from 54 kg to 75kg - can't even look at photos of myself now!!

Chrissy - maybe Craig will think twice about pi$$ing you off now honey ROFL..atleast you can say you broke his heart..sorry trying to be funny. These things happen for a reason mate take the curb ball and go with your gutt. We're all here for you. As for being a NC hossy - my brother in law works there, he's a bald headed ***** but very funny..he's a male nurse.
Shell - I bought thick stockings to put under Vy's pants cause my mum was at me about her feet and legs getting cold to. I hate it when other mothers have the do this and do that attitude. Wait a year or 2 honey then tell her you dont think its a go idea that she lets her kids pick its nose and eat it...\Karma comes around to bite on the @rse at the best of times. Dont get upset by her, use it honey.
Nelle - you crack me up woman...we're the hell do you get these grat passages from?
    Hi Ya LAuren.
Meg - Im so paranoide about toxic stuff and Vy getting to them (or any of the other kids) I panick when she tries to drink the shampoo
Crap is that the time..ive gotta go to the bank to sign our papers

Meg.. wow it would be scarey having that type of job seeing those things happen to kids, when you have your own.. though i guess on the other side its a good thing as it makes you more aware of what can actually happen. FIL is an ex senior police sargeant and he said he remembers going to a house where a baby had died from being in a walker near a fire place.

Shell.. omg i hate it when people know your child better than you do! And to drill it into you.. she's your baby, you know whats best for her, no one else.. stupid woman!

Maz.. :hugs: wow youre 8 weeks already! Hope youre taking care of yourself and keeping your vitamins up. Hope it all fixes itself out when you hit the 2nd tri.

Rach.. sounds like a good idea.. just the MIL though, i like my FIL.

Chrissy.. hope Craig gets better soon.

Nothing new for us.. inspection tomorrow so just doing what needs to be done. How and when do you guys cut your bub's nails? I use to do it when Jess feel asleep but now he self settles in his cot and the room is dark, so it would be hard to do it while hes in there.. otherwise ive usually waited until the ads are on the tv (he sits and stairs) but yeh just curious how you do it as he just wriggles any other time.

Oh! I had a dream last night i was with Fat Ba$tard from Austin Powers ohhh i was soooo scared!!!!

Oh its fricken freeeeezing today!! 13 degrees in Jesse's room atm!!

    Morning all.
Another freezing cold day today, maybe even hail.

Kell- Its hard to cut those nails. Usually I just have to grip tightly and cut. I usually do one hand (or foot) and then have a break then get back to it.

Chrissy- Hugs honey, I hope things start picking up real soon. I don't know what else to say but I'll keep you and Craig in my thoughts.

Nelle and maz- lol I like those come backs. I just always think how can other mothers criticise when they would know themselves how it feels. Worst thing you can do to a woman is criticise her mothering!

Well don't know what to get up to today, I realised winter is bad with a baby and no car (getting one soon). Its our first winter with these bubs.

It is fricken cold here, like snow cold. DH refuses to light the fire before he goes to work so Im stuck with a little fan heater and it takes ages to get the chill out of the room. Ive got 3 shirts and a jumper on!

I have started adding Farex to bubs bottles again and the last two nights he's slept 8:30-4:30 then 4:30-8:30! I think he is just not getting full from plain formula and the Farex helps with that so he sleeps longer because he is full as a goog.

Anywho better go shower my monster. BBL.

Chrissy as one of the othe girls stated with craig being in hospy you can now think.Did he hurt you? Just wondering when you said you had a fat lip. Thinking of you and hope it turns out the way you want it too.
ok,drs for me and millana. The dr rang me and said i had to go and see him bout my stomach.Gee.Sometimes i wish these problems would go away and leave me alone.

    ** IMPORTANT NEWS **

Ladies, I officially have a life

I sucked it up and went to a Military Spouses Coffee club thats held across the road every Wed from 10-12pm this morning. I ended up being late because I ummed and ahhed and made excuses about why I couldnt go to myself but in the end I just went. It was great, actual adult conversation! Jett was a bit overwhelmed by all the kids (my fault for not socialising him more ) but eventually he settled down. Im going to go every Wednesday now so I can actually see someone other than people on TV atleast one day a week. Everyone was shocked at how big Jett is, he is the youngest there as the next 'baby' is 14mth old and J was as big as the 14mth old (and some of the older kids)

On Monday morning Im going to take my newfound confidence of meeting new people and apply it to going to playgroup! While Im there I'll enquire about the daycare mornings. This kid needs some interaction.

Better go do some chores or study (or something resembling those things) while I hide infront of the heater.

Thats great AnnaT, I feel the same, I always look forward to mums group each week cause besides my sister they are the only people I know with kids, my other friends most I don't see so often now just cause our lives are going in seperate directions. We still keep in contact but its just not the same and it gets lonely during the day with everyone else at work.

AnnaT.. um, i think i read somewhere its not a good idea to give food through a bottle as it will cause tooth decay and bubs has no control over how much theyre drinking? Its totally your choice what you do and please dont think im telling you what to do, just giving some info on what i read.. maybe something to look into just incase. Perhaps you could give him some off a spoon or some custard or something before bed or increase his meal sizes? Just an idea. Thats great he's sleeping longer though. Good stuff on getting out!!

Shell.. hope you figured out something to do, if not, had a relaxing one anyways!

Anyways.. back to the cleaning for me...

AnnaT - YEAH!! coffee and a adult chat always does wonders for me..good to see your confident hat is on!

everyone else - hi.. still trying to get back into Australia time zone here.. both kids are sick and just laying low..

That's great Annat! Hope you enjoy your newfound social life

Kell, that sounds confusing to me...why would farex in a bottle cause tooth decay, but custard on a spoon wouldn't?? And wouldn't a baby just stop drinking when they're full? Or spew up what they couldn't really fit in their tummy?

How are things going today Chrissy? Hope you guys are doing well. Would you consider counselling? It's not like Craig will be able to say he's too busy...

This is taken from "Baby Love" by Robin Barker (page 366)..
If your baby is not an avid eater, dont be tempted to give food in a bottle instead of off the spoon.
Whilst recognizing that generations of babies have grown into adults where this had been the practice, it is not recommended for the following reasons:
    * The baby has no control over the amount of food she is 'drinking'. It just glugs down and weight gains can become excessive.
    * Food in a bottle is not teaching your baby the skills she needs to learn to eat in a socially acceptable way.
    * Sucking food from teats increases the chance of tooth decay, especially when this way of eating goes on unto the second year, which it often does because it is very habit forming.
Im only offering advice on what ive read. As i said, what you choose to do is YOUR choice.

I have heard that drinking from a bottle for too long causes tooth decay.Specially at night because when you drink from a bottle the milk clings around the teeth more whilst a cup your gulping it down and less tooth decay. This being said my daughter at 21/2 yrs still has a bottle in the night for comfort and i worry all the time about tooth decay.Slowly im watering the milk down with water.
Well went to the drs and im now being referred to a gastro type specialist as my lymph nodes still swollen and some of my bowel too.On the report it says bowel disease or lymphoma! But the dr and i dont think i have that because i still feel healthy. As long as im not having a endoscopy or colonoscopy im fine! i refuse that.
Millana probably has some excema and fungal thing thrown together so cream for her.
    Ok,signing off!

Anna T - Well done on getting out and about. I know I love my mothers grp day, as I know I will have some adult conversation.
Last week we took bubs to an indoor playground. It was free for kids under 10 months. I know our bubs are all getting close to that mark, but worth checking out your local one, as it is excellent when free!!!

Caddie - I hope all goes well, and that your health is fine. (I am sure it will be)

Chrissy - my thoughts are with you.

I better go. James is being a little $#@&. He is meant to be asleep and is screaming. Every time I go in there he laughs. DH TIm was supposed to be looking after him, as I have a headache and wanted a bath. That's great, but Tim went out!

    Hoepfully I will BBL

Meg- Get DH home and you go out! he can do the settling, hopefully he has settled for you now. ash won't sleep this late in the day, even if she's just had one nap she won't sleep after 4pm.

Caddie- Hope its nothing to serious, I would be refusing a colonoscopy too!

I have that book too Kell, I just realised few nights ago when I was reading the 9 month part that soon they won't be babies anymore but toddlers.

Annie- Still waiting to hear bout that trip of yours, And where is my postcard! Lol.

We are having yummy home made pizza's for dinner, they are so healthy and so nice. We just make them on pita breads. Ash is being moody today, bit clingerer and sookier than usual. And for some reason she wouldn't let Df feed her. He always feeds her dinner why I cook but tonight she flat out refused and the when I offered she gulped it down! Don't know what going on there.
