Dont make my mistake Anna, take him off to the Drs or Hospital. If he is dehydrated theyll put him on a drip and youll be amazed at what a difference it makes! One thing the Paediatrician told me in hospital is babies have an amazing way of acting totally normal until the poo hits the fan and it becomes serious, which is why I didnt even know Jett wasnt well til he got real sick. They can also have times where they pick up and seem fine and then crash again. I hope he gets better soon, ugh I cant imagine how hard gastro is for a baby/toddler.
Maz - Yay on 10wks chica! ``````````````````z - um thats Jett saying Hi to Vy Its been -3 here of a night, nobody told me it would get that fricken cold. Im ready to move to Bermuda. That car sounds fabo but I wouldnt buy it as I dont drive manual (yeah I know Im lazy lol)
Chrissy - hope Craig is doing ok and that your getting some help with everything *hugs*
To Mums who's bubs have colds - I use the Fess noses saline spray. Its a nasal spray that you just toot up their nose and it dries up the snot. I clean Jetts nose with a q-tip, he fights me a bit now but he gets some super boogers and I am a person who cannot stand seeing boogers in peoples noses, makes me want to pick them lol
HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII to everyone else!
So I took Jett to the GP on saturday because the rash got worse. Turns out he's allergic to amoxyl (even though he's had it twice before with no issues). So now he cant have that or any form of it. Since I stopped giving it to him the rash has disappeared, thankgod his ears are clear or he'd still be grumpy. He's just about back to his normal, naughty self but is still sleeping through 5 put of 7 nights *YAY does happy dance* Last night he slept 8:30 til 7am, then back to bed til 9:30am! I feel like a new person. Inlaws arrive on thursday which is exciting and DH goes on holidays for 9 days on Friday.
Anna**- How is little Xander? Did you end up taking him for a check? When Ash was unwell and I wasn't too sure I rang the emerg dep at my local hospital and asked there opinion if I should bring in or not.
AnnaT- yay on the m/s being gone, you must be feeling alot better without it hanging around. 5 out of 7 nights sounds fantastic, ahh what a dream, Ash has started to shorten her sleep times again, I'm hoping its just cause of her cold.
Meg- Good luck with James at the funeral, sorry to hear someone close to your family has passed away.
Kell- I still have to do that. We've got little snippets of Ash at different ages on one of those old video 8 tapes, somehow gotta get it onto something else so MIL can do editing on her computer, I don't know much bout it, but she was gonna make it all nice.
We went out to dinner last night for BIL birthday. I won't be going out again to a restaurant with poor Ash. Firstly they booked for 6:30 which I wasn't too sure bout cause Ash goes to bed usually at 7:15, then they had no high chairs so we had to sit with a squirmy tired baby and try to eat, the service was slow. Df had gone in with others to get a banquet but had to leave before finishing, got to 9pm, I felt so guilty cause Ash was obviously really tired. So we just had to leave. I feel like a bad mummy now! So no more restaurants for Ash, or me unless its an early dinner.
Just got back from the doctors... the doctor doesn't think it is just a simple case of gastro as it has been ongoing for over a week. He is suspect of giardia - but I have to get a poo sample to test. Oh yuck, yuck, yuck. He most likely picked it up at good 'ol playgroup as a few of the kids have had the trots as of late (be nice if the parents informed us before they showed up at playgroup)
AnnaT - Woo hoo that the m/s has gone.
Maz - Are you starting to feel better yet?
Meg - Hope all goes well at the funeral today. Sorry to hear of the loss of a family friend.
Caddie - Didn't you just get that clutch repaired a couple of months ago?
Yes we did anna but it wasnt fixed properly so now its been put back the 3rd time. Its really giving us the s..its and its something we need not worry bout.
Giardia, yucko.Poor xander.Do they give ab's and im sure a poo sample will be easy.lol
Annat, glad the ms has eased.I suppose if jett is allegioc to amoxyll you will have to be careful of other allergies?
I so wish ruby would sleep the night but makes it difficult when she goes to bed at 630pm.She woke at 1030pm for a feed and the n another at 245am then slept till 6am. Bit of a pain but not much i can do really. She has slept thropugh only once.Millana in bed with us again but after i have fed ruby usually go steal her bed.
okay,im tired and its only 1130am.So sad.Better go do something to wake up!!!
Nessa,i dont know how i have done it either.I think gee,9 months with out a full nights sleep. And with Millana there was only like 2 months when she was 1.5yrs that she slept through. So a few yrs now without a sleep. Im a little grumpy and stressed at times.
I havnt done much today.Scrapped a page of myself and the girls, baked some muffins for when my sis comes home and did washing.Cant really go out in the cold with millana's nose being snotty.
Girls we dont do dinner either.Way to hard.We usually have dinner as a family around 5pm/530. Would love to go out to chinese.
I tell you, next time I won't be doing dinner unless its an early one like 5:30 meet up or 6 at latest and no where with slow service! Although the food was very nice.
Anna*-Hows the fun with the poo spec going?
Caddie- Do you find you just get so used to little sleep its how you function? I find I'm so used to getting up twice to Ash that on the nights she does sleep really well I find I'm really tired the next day.
AnnaT - Happy for you that the morning sickness has gone - you can start to enjoy life a bit more now.
Maz - How are you feeling?
Meg - How did James go at the funeral, hugs to you at your loss.
Caddie - Didn't you just get that clutch repaired a couple of months ago?
Sh*t, I felt like I was going to lose it last night with Rylee, her sleeping is really getting me down - she woke at about 1 am and wouldn't go back to sleep till 3 am - I had a splitting headache and felt like I should be checked into a mental institution. I dread nights now as I know they are going to be hell. I feel like checking into a hotel by myself to get away from her - that sounds terrible - I don't have anyone here who can give me a break and look after her - apart from DH and he is always bl**dy working or asleep....enough of me.
Hi - James was a little Angel at the funeral. Everyone kept saying to me "Is he always that happy??" He hadn't slept for 5 hours, and he was a little charmer. as soon as we got into the car to go home, he sung to himself for a bit, then went to sleep. Slept all the way home, and some. I ended up grabbing the laptop and sitting in the car with him for another hour when we got home!!! The funeral was for an elderly family friend. It was totally expected. It was a great funeral. (Well as great as they can be) Very light hearted.
Laurin - Hope you have a better night tonight.
Caddie - mmmmm muffins!!!
Shell - I only go out for dinner if I can rope a Grandmother in to staying here with James.
Giardia I know a few people that have had it. Not pleasant.
Laurin- Are you sure you wouldn't consider the sleep school? Or maybe look for one of those private companies that send someone out to you where they spend the night and come up with solutions, although they prolly would be a bit pricey.
Children who behave and do everything i ask ( DD 3 years)
Children who sleep throught the night ( both kids !)
A maid/cleaning lady/nanny/ ( any help would be great)
A huge bottle of wine
A romantic night away ( not likely)
clothes that fit
thanks
If anyone has any of the above please let me know!!
I agree what a great post annie! made me laugh
Laurin i do know exactly how you feel.Im always saying in a loud voice at home im going to end up ina mental instituiyion because i feel im going crazy. And its tiredness.
And shell funny you should say more sleep you get the tireder you are.Too true.If i get up twice thats real good and in the morning i still want more sleep...speaking of which im too tired too type.My throat is sore courtesy of millana which is going to be real fun if it is still lingering round when i have my endoscopy stuff....
nighty night
Clothes that fit - well, I've got some more clothes, my little sis jets off around the world this Sunday so I've grabbed some of her clothes that she's not taking - score!! Currently wearing a sweet grey volcom one
Hugs to those having a hard time with kiddos at the moment. River was a complete pain last night too...not sure what's up with him, guess he was sick? Just really hard to settle.
We were at mum and dad's tonight and kept him up, so hopefully that will make for a better sleep.
Caddie, sore throats suck. Hope it gets better soon.
How are our pregnant lovelies feeling? Good? Great to hear your m/s is easing Annat - how's yours Maz?
Meg.. thats great he was on his best behavior. Probably made everyone feel a bit nice seeing such a happy face after such a sad event.
Laurin.. i hope Rylee slept better for you last night?
Anna**.. poor Xander.. hope its not that bad.
Shell.. oh you poor things. Ive never attempted taking Jess out at night.. but i can imagine what its like as he goes to bed at the same time. What restaurant doesnt have highchairs!!
Well.. was going out again today to see my friend i missed out on last week from those stupid winds that never evantuated.. and its now pi$$ing down with rain.. so we're staying in again. Had a lovely day yesterday with my grilfriend from school and her lil man. I dont like to brag.. but Jesse is always so good when we go out. He never once complains or biatches. He just sits in his pram. If he's tired, he just closes his eyes and falls asleep. Hes such a good boy.
