Happy First Birthday to the gorgeous Caity, have a wonderful day!!!!

    All is fine here...

Belle, you have so many positives, even when you are feeling down you still want to help other people, which is truly an unselfish act. Go get em girl with your presentation!!!!

Rach - sorry your Mum has gone home - it always feels funny when you have had someone close to you staying with you and then they go home.

We have Rylee's 12 month check up and vaccinations coming up, I am getting nervous.

belle - thanks for the chat the other day. Nina has been a lot happier than the other day. It's good to have my happy little girl back.
Just a little something from me to you ...
You have always been there to chat to me, whether it's online or on the phone. Even when you're having a bad day, you always make the time.
You're a very positive person. I can sense that when talking to you. You know there is light at the end of the tunnel with this, you just need to find your way there.
You're an inspiration to me, and many others that meet you.

    Good luck with the presentation!

helen - what you said in that post bought tears to my eyes! Very well written.

maz - hope you're feeling better soon.

annie - how's it all going? Have you found a part-time or job share yet?

rikki - I just remembered that you said you were coming to Cairns in 2009, for how long? A holiday or to live?

Enough from me, I'm so tired I'm going to bed.

Belle - Hon, I've known you for a couple of years now... I can honestly say you are one of the most genuine, caring and thoughtful friends I have. I just wished you lived on this side of the country so we could catch up properly!

Maz - Did you get my SMS today with all the fabric samples from Spotlight? I dunno if any of them are what you are after for nappy covers. Just let me know.

Xander is driving me nuts. He sleeps well during the day, but get him off to sleep at night is a total nightmare at the moment. I'm taking him to the Drs' on Monday to rule out ear infections etc, but otherwise I am at a loss as to why he is like this at the moment. I guess I could blame 'teething' but he settles just fine during the day so doesn't make much sense to me. Any ideas girls?

Annie.. thats great with the knitting, anything in particular?

Anna**.. yeh i have no idea, except growth spirt? But i suppose that would be the same as the teething issue. Is he getting too much sleep during the day? Hopefully you can rule out the ear infection, though i guess that is one thing that can flair up at night.

    Shell.. hows the unpacking going?

    Nessa.. 4 days!!!!!

Anna, I'd be inclined to think it's a growth spurt more than anything else. Nina has been testing her limits on occassions at night as well (last night at midnight in particular!). Nina used to go to bed at 6pm every night, now it's between 7.30-8.00, and she's still only having one day sleep (sometimes only an hour during the day). I hope the dr can rule out an ear infection. Those things are nasty.

    Wow quiet day.

Ive been making a pram liner! My first project on my sewing machine. Almost done.. have sewn in the lining and just need to work out how im going to fix where the straps go through. Whether i try and sew it like its a big button hole (so will practise on the on the sewing machine) or use Bias binding. But yeh so proud.. its looking quite good if i dont say so myself

ETA.. Anna**.. i think Jesse's going through something similar to Xander. The other night took me forever to get him to sleep. He'd be fine for 10 minutes then scream the house down. He's doing it again tonight. He's fine during the day though or if i pick him up. Wondering if he's going through a testing me stage?

    Well,
James' birthdy party was today. It was great, but very tiring. we had a house full of kids, but they were all really well behaved. All in all it was a really good day. Tim was a bit upset though as North Melb lost. He and some friends have just gone to the pub, and left James and I in peace. I have jsut sat down on the couch to have a well deserved rest.
we are off to another party tomorrow. Busy weekend!

Anna - James is doing the EXACT same thing. I am at a loss for what it could be. All I can say is that it must be a *stage*

Big hugs Rach. We're here if you need us.

Meg - Really glad the party went well. The cake in your ticker looks awesome!

Thanks for the advice girls re Xanders' sleep pattern as of late. It's kinda nice to know that I'm not the only one going through this right now. I'm babysitting my friends' little girl tonight (she's the same age as Xander) and they were playing heaps before bedtime, so Xander went down without a peep tonight.. phew!

So sad today as I saw a cat get run over near our house. The people that hit it didn't even slow down (they were speeding) or stop to see if the cat was ok - how anyone could be so heartless I just dunno, really makes me wonder what the world is coming to sometimes. Their was no way the driver could not have seen or heard the cat hit the car (if they didn't see/hear they shouldn't be driving). The whole thing just happened so quickly but for me watching it was just like this horrible slow motion. Poor thing bolted across to it's home, but by the time I got to it, it had died. I tracked down the owners and let them know about the loss of their pet, they were really sad and it was a horrible thing to have to tell them.

Sorry for the really sad bit in the post - it really helps just to let it out. Thanks girls.

    Big hugs Rach.

Anna-How awful about the cat, I have heard that most cats will walk/run away from an accident and then die. So sad that you had to go through it. Great news though that Xander went to sleep, took us an hr tonight with Eithan.

Manly's in the grand final WOOOHOOOO!!!!! GO Manly!!!!

    So excited!!!!!!!!!

Rach.. haha yes Jesse always takes his PJ pants off! Walks around the lounge room like a rudie (with a nappy on). Im glad he's still in his sleeping bags as otherwise he's be frozen come morning! Big hugs Rach for today :hugs:

Anna**.. oh thats horrible isnt it. I saw a dog be hit not long ago.. from the looks of it it wouldve died on impact at least and not have suffered but it stays in your mind. Poor things.. if only they knew the concept of roads, and their owners kept them locked in better. But even so its terrible to loose a pet. Nice of you to track down the owners though. Im glad Xander went to sleep well last night.

Nothink much from me today.. another lazy one.. finishing the pram liner.
