Nelle - that makes so much sence. thanks hon
must say it feels funny so many of us being pg and all at different stages..sort of like us all being belly buddies again and for those who arent pg..you can be our birthing support partners
oh I feel the need for a slurpy coming!!!!!

Maz - just thinking as soon as bubs is born to put her straight on the boob - 'they' say babies are really alert when first born and if you are going to bf to put them on straight away and they naturally seek out the boob like Nelle said it is a part of their natural instincts, I guess cause they are just little mammals wanting a snuggle and a feed from mum....

Maz - Having Jed off for a month when your new bubs is born is a fabulous idea. It will be great for your milk supply as you will have more time to feed (and rest which is also important for supply) - the more often you put bubs to the boobie, the more your body gets the signal to make more milk. I used fenugreek with great success, as well as Activite by the bucketload. I'd also recommend joining the ABA. Oh, and you CAN BREASTFEED this bub. Don't buy bottles, formula or anything that sets you up for the wrong start. You wont need it as you can do it this time.

Lauren - I have actually put down on my birth plan that I want to BF bub straight away in recovery. I have to have a c/s under general anni but I did the same with Vy and the midwife was absolutely wonderful

girls, thank you so much for all your words of support. it means so much that you all care (and we all care so much for each other). xxx

Happy birthday Isabella (you grown up girl!!), Tim and Belle's mum.
You'll be fine Belle, deep breaths and think of the strategies you've learnt in your group. hug
sharleen - we'll be thinking of you and hubby... hope you get the results straight away xx
OMG my brain is dead! ummm... good luck with BF Maz. I too had zero milk and really felt like a failure when I could not BF for more than three weeks. I tried fenugreek and mega doses of motillium but after three weeks i got mastitis and that was it for us. do you have boobie symptoms in pg? i had none, no sore boobies, no growing in size and def never had that sensation of milk coming in after she was born. oh well, i'll still try my darndest next time, but may also enlist the help of the ABA.
Well we had a trip to emergency doctor yesterday afternoon... three hour wait but luckily we live close so they told us to go home and wait. Ains would just cling to me all day, no crawling and even went and put herself to sleep on her flip out sofa poor love. Turns out she has all the usuals, sore throat, ear infection and bronchiolitis... her little lymph nodes in her armpits were so swollen they were like jellybeans, and everytime I picked her up she cried they hurt so much. I took her to the dr on thurs night, and he said she was fine so poor thing just went downhill fast
how are all our pg mumma's... annat, mazzie, jodes, vix, nessa, chrissy??
    any news anna**?
    how's the new house shell?
ok, mammoth post from me .... because woo hoo ainsleigh is still asleep! slept thru the night for the first time in weeks which is such a relief.... means she must be feeling better or at least her body is fighting her germies. better go and do some stuff as sam comes home today (another big woo hoo!)

I hope Ains feels better soon Rikki! I hear you on the boogers, its so gross (and I must admit I am sick of wiping snot away before it drips into Jetts mouth).

Im bored. I should be folding washing. Jett is asleep already, even though he slept through from 8pm-7:30am then had a bottle and went back to sleep til 9am! He just loves his bed.
