It has been quiet for a weekday, usually just quiet on weekends. I'm always around!

Meg, yeah we looked in myers, I think prob is she wants green and there isn't alot in that color in a style we want and in sizes we need! Ash loves her sandpit too, I don't like finding sand all over my clean floors.

I'm here. It's been sooooo hot here today. I've finally got all the housework done though, so just about to get into my Magnum ice-cream mmmmm yummy!

shell - yeah green isn't a very popular colour. I don't think it's even in season at the moment. Can't she change the colour

meg - yep, that's when Nina woke up too. She's been great lately, in that she is waking between 8.30-9.00 each morning. She must be going through a growth spurt or something.

Nina was such a little brat today. Had to go into Medicare, and she decided to chuck a mega tantrum. There was a little girl (probably around 4 years old) carrying her dolly, so Nina decided she wanted to walk around carrying her dolly too. But I wanted her in the pram. So I had to fight with her to get her back into her pram. And you should have seen the stares I got from everyone. I even had one lady (she looked quite old'ish, maybe a nanna?) look at me real evil looking, and shake her head at me!!! If she had of been a little closer to me she would have copped a mouthful. I was NOT in the mood for someone like her. I mean, I'm 7 months pregnant and fighting with a toddler who's about 12kg, to get her into the pram. Some people should just mind their own business. ggggrrrrrrr.
ok, rant over. I'm having my ice-cream now.

Jodi. It's a good reminder to me to always make the effort to smile nicely at people with tantruming kids, honestly, even mild kids have their moments! And how was that lady helping you with her frowning? At least a smile could have helped you to stay calm and not stress that people are being bothered!

    Hope you're enjoying your ice-cream.

Jodi- God I hate people like that, they seem to either forget what it was like when their kids were that age or they prolly never had children! If Ash is having a tantie I usually just not look at anyone if I can help it, just stare sraight ahead.

Nelle- Lol at that story but I am mighty impressed Riv will do that! Ash won't sleep unless she is tucked up in bed. Now I hope you come back telling us your bag is packed.

    Is the bag packed Nelle?

Jodi - Is Nina still not having day sleeps? As that would be why she wouldbe having longer night sleeps.

Shell - Yep the pitfalls of a sandpit is that sand gets everywhere!

A question - for those not using Grobags, how to you keep covers on your kids overnight? J throws covers straight off so we are still in grobags.

Jodi.. oh dont worry about people like that, they have no clue obviously! Jesse throw huge tantrums too. Monday he was not in a good mood to begin with and all day at the shops was just screaming and whinging because i wouldnt let him grab all the clothes and things off the racks! I just took it with a grain of salt and ignore most of it. Its annoying when youre trying to get them back in the pram but if its going to bother others, i really couldnt care less. Just smile at those who are shaking their head, cos that will annoy them even more hehe.

We're off to swimming this morning so will catch up more when we get back.

Meg - we dont use grobags in summer, Jett sleeps in a big boy bed so he has sheets and a quilt BUT he only ever sleeps wrapped up in his woollen blankie. Sooooo he sleeps in barely anything because of that (those old school Nanna-knitted blankets are mighty warm!) Come winter he'll have jammies AND the blanket (and the quilt if I can sneak it on him). He covers himself up anyway if he gets cold. Rips will be in grobags until he gets a big boy bed next summer when he's 1.

Jodi - ugh dont you hate people like that? I reckon they are in serious denial about their kids doing the same way back when. Jett isnt allowed out of the pram but he does throw tantrums that the whole shopping centre can hear. I just ignore him until he stops. If people give me dirties I say "Would you like to take him home with you?"

Nelle - is that bag packed yet? I cant believe you only have 5ish weeks to go. Feels like yesterday that I was pregnant and counting down. I cant wait to know what your having!!!

Ness - how are you feeling sweetie??????

    Hi to everyone else!

Soooo things are going ok. Ripley is mostly formula fed now, and he is much more content but I keep having attacks of guilt He has boobie about 3 times a day still but my milk is dwindling so I'll let him feed until it disappears and then its formula full time. I decided I had to cut my losses and do what keeps me sane. Im still super proud I made it to 8 weeks! Maybe next time I'll make it to 12wks. The 4hr blocks of sleep have made a huge difference though (so has the endless crying stopping!). Bad news - the dreaded AF turned up on Monday She's isnt as nasty as she usually is though which is a good thing. So its on the pill for me if Rips stops BF completely before it finishes, if not the mini pill will have to do until he does.
As for Jett he is great. We've cut our last teeth (before 2yo molars) so he's been really cranky, those canine's are awful trouble arent they! He also had his first haircut while we were in Sydney, just a teensy trim of his curls. Not that it made a difference, he still wakes up with birds nesting in his hair He's got a few more new words too. I really need to sit and make a list of them all. I cant believe he'll be TWO in 7mths. He's such a little boy now, makes me sad to think that this time next year Rips will be the same!

BUT hopefully by then #3 will be on the way. Yep thats right Im officially certifiable DH keeps insisting that 2 is it but then he mentions how he wants a similar age gap between them all so we'll have to make a decision soon. He also refuses to get a vasectomy so I told him that we're having another one then. I just dont want to regret not having #3, you never regret children but you can regret not having them. I always planned on 3. Plus I want to have it while we are in Sydney incase we have another horror pregnancy, that way my sister and numerous friends are right there to help. Ry will be insisting we're done right up until the kid is born hehehehe So in another 6mths we'll give it another whirl and see what happens.

Anywho we have Coffee club today which we are running late for and then its Rips 8wk MCHN appointment. OMG he's 8 weeks old TODAY

    Have a great day girls!
