Hey Ambz, great to see you! I wouldn't be comfortable leaving bub for as long as it took either! It's up to you what you're comfortable with, and what works for you and your bub! From memory, with Riv, sometimes (if I knew he wasn't hungry or dirty, and was ready for a sleep) I'd leave him up to 10mins, because my going in seemed to wake him up. And if the crying got more intense, I'd go in. But most times, he'd wind down and go to sleep pretty quickly.
Your health nurse doesn't live with Tia, you do, so you need to decide what works for you guys, and what you're comfy with.
And definitely each child is different, I'll be curious to see if I can do the same things with this bub as I did with River (if I remember what I did!), or if their personality means I'll have to parent completely differently!
Owwww!!Something funny just happened, I had a tshirt next to me on the couch, and I put it over Riv's head, he tried to crawl off, but the tshirt came off, so he brought it back to me to put it back over his head. This happened a few times, until the tshirt stayed on, and he excitedly crawled off (couldn't see a thing of course) til he crashed into a wall!!
I think he might have cried, if I wasn't laughing so hard! What a dork I have.
I called Rans just as he finished work and casually mentioned that it's a hot day and I could do with some cooling down.I think he got the hint.
