Anyway, what did I say before I started my mmmm yummy risotto?

That's right - what a drama Shell! Hope Ash and you are okay now! Guess they say to call an ambulance just to be safe with little kids.

Marni, what does she think about fruit? Just cos it's sweeter, and you might be able to get some fibre and vitamins into her that way? Riv loooooves fruit. But then, he'll eat pretty much anything.
There's always juice too - maybe something like breakfast juice could help? Though too much fruit can cause nappy rash in some kids, but you could just keep an eye on that.
Or there's that book called 'Deceptively Delicious', where the chick just purees vegies and adds them to whatever recipes - and bub can't detect it cos it's pureed.
Have you tried eating the same thing at the same time? Or stealing hers and eating it? Or giving her yours? River was throwing his hot cross bun on the ground today, til I ate a piece off the floor and then WHOA you shoulda seen him cram it all in his mouth. I should be a child psychologist...
Anyway, those are my ideas for today.

Thanks for the comments on my belly, you sure know how to cheer me up hey But now I'm sitting here eating a block of chocolate. I can't really complain about feeling fat and ugly can I. But cause I'm eating chocolate, I'm craving milo now!! I just can't win.

meg - hopefully J gets better real soon and the AB's kick in. Fingers crossed you both get a good night sleep tonight.

shell - poor Ash. Wonder what it could have been? Do you think it was a reaction to something she ate maybe?

nelle - going to have a look at your blog now. About time you updated it woman! And where are your belly pics??????? I'm starting to think your pregnancy is fake If I'm sharing my big fat belly, you can too!

Marni - has she always been fussy with her food, or is just lately? It could be a phase she is going through. Nina will eat everything except fruit. She won't even try it. She'll look at it, and turn her head away at it. But with any other food she'll eat it. Just keep persisting with it. I read somewhere that if you keep offering the same food around 10 times, they'll start getting intrigued and will try it. Don't know if that works or not??

caddie - Nina is forever in the nude, and we're always having ooopsies around the house! I reckon I'll start tt after winter. I don't think Nina is quite ready yet, but she is starting to show the signs of being ready. Every now and then she'll tell me that she needs to do a wee or poo, but other times she doesn't tell me at all.

ambz - great to hear from you, and that things are going well for you all. I'm not too sure about the health nurses' advice either. At 2 weeks of age, they're a little young for controlled crying I think. That's my personal opinion though. You go with whatever works for you. You're her mum, and you know her best.

annat - fingers crossed it's not as serious as that for Ripley. Let us know how he goes when you see the dr next.

Had a very busy day today, and had to do the groceries tonight. But I was in a lot of pain, so made my mum tag along with me, and she ended up doing my groceries while I walked beside her drinking my iced coffee. Gotta love mums hey! She even packed it all in the car, and when I got home Heath packed it all away.
Nina has a obsession with shoes at the moment. She insists on wearing them all day long, regardless of the fact that we're playing inside! It's very cute though. She also loves dressing up in my jewellery. She's turning into a little girl now, as opposed to the tomboy she's been for the past 18 months

Caddie- i too have a nudiest/ She can take all of her bottpms clothes of and most of her tops. i think teleah is teaching her bad habbit

Shell- wow , hope ash is all good now.

Jodi- does nina like your shoes as well?? Annika always puts mine on ands its so funny.

Marni- Annika will eat what ever normally but we do have days where she will eat barely anything and i have to rely on the favs to get food into her. She loves cheese.

Nelle- i think at 36 weeks you owe us at least one belly shot

Ambz- nice to see you. Wow on the chatter, Annika barely says boo but Teleah makes up for it.

Laurin- no nap yest but i did sleep better last night minus the really emotional dream i had, which had me waking DH up at 4 am for cuddles and checking on the girls at least 3 times beofre i could go back to sleep.

Meg- how is J today?? Will have to remember the mylanta thing, My girls always suffer bad teeth rash!!!!


Am slowly getting all organized for the hosp. been a bit slack!!!!

Marni - our little ratbag is just as bad with her eating...she mainly eats grapes, cheese and peas. She does eat other things but I know she loves these 3 the most.

Shell - OMG hon..are you both alright now? How friggen scarey!!!! I hop eyou have ambulance cover hon....we do and thank god, we found out that our trip to the hospital here and the flight to Melbourne was over $7000. I almost fell over when If ound out.

Ness - friggen FIL...he leaves us a message like that and then when we ring back he was asleep on the couch!!! I coulda killed him! stupid man!

AMbz - hon how the hell are ya!!!!! great to hear your still BF to matie! Im loving every moment of it.

I use to be so jealous of you guys when our babies were all small how you could all BF so well....ahh now Ive joined the club and I had every right to be jealous. Your all fantastic woman and I honestly couldnt have odne it with all your words of encouragement. Nelle - I made it to the 6 week mark and I kept thinking what you said the hole time. YOur all inspirations to me! the whole dame lot of you!

i had fun last night..after I put Vy's NB baby clothes on ebay (yes it was very sad for me) I went through my little treasure box of gifts and got some things ready for you mama's to be again. Nelle if your having a boy then he's gonna get something pink from me too pmsl!!!!

Marni.. Jesse loves cheese and yogurt too. I wouldnt personally go toddler formula as its just full of sugar. Id opt for the vitamins if you want her to have more. Will she eat yogurt with fruit you can mash into it? And then even make something cheesey with vegies? Jesse has gone off vegetables all together.. but one thing i have found he will eat is tinned vegetable soup! I just drain out the liquid and give him a serving of those vegies! Even get the chicken and vegetable and pasta ones, he loves them. Toast.. well you can get a tuna spread. Does she like tuna? So then shes getting goodness there too. Maybe melt some cheese on it and make fingers.

Jodi.. haha very cute nina with her shoes! She's turning into a real lady!

Shell.. oh goodness. How is Ash today? Im glad its getting better though, how scarey for you.

Ash is fine today, still have no idea what prob was, personally I think she was bitten by something cause it came on so quickly and Df also reacts like that when he is bitten by certain bugs. Thanks for everyones concern.

Marni- Not sure what advice I can offer, Ash will eat vegies if they're all mashed together and have something in it to make it more sloppier. I know when I was a kid and I wouldn't eat mum used to give me some medicine (forget the name) made for kids with all vitamins. If you're worried won't hurt to give her some, my sister also used to give it to my nephew. Just on shelf at chemist with all the other baby stuff.

Maz- yes thankfully we do have cover, I never had it for years but as soon as I was preg with Ash I decided good idea to join up. I'm so glad BFing is going so well for you. It just gets easier over time too, and its great chance to sit down and relax! I used to do Sudoku puzzles while BFing. His rash isn't looking to nice, hope that clears down. Does it irritate him or anything?

Ness- Oh god, hate all those dreams I used to have when preg, glad Dh was there to give you a cuddle. Its awful when they just seem so real and freaks you out for ages afterwards.

Jodi- Chocolate and milo are good for you! They contain milk so you need that calcium when preg. Thats my belief that I stick too. I love my milo and chocolate.

Nelle- Yes Nelle I'm getting in with the others and demanding to see belly pic! And now you've mentioned hot cross buns, mmmm, I get fruitless ones though.

Laurin- That sucks he'll be away so long this year, hopefully the year will fly by. We'll have to have a meet up so you don't get lonely!

Had to go out buy new blender today, other one was playing up then I dropped it and it smashed. Only got a cheapie though.

Maz - big woohoo to you on the bfing - its great isn't it and you should be so proud of yourself and your little man!!
Shell - when Rylee was about 7 months old she came up in this weird rash like big welts all over her and vomited and went all sleepy and I never found out what it was and it hasn't happened again....yes, I agree we should meet up and any of the other Melbourne mummies - I am down in Mt Eliza but don't mind coming up the city or other.

Anyway, better have a coffee while Ry is asleep, need something to perk me up.

hello again!

my girls are both asleep....i should try get a nap but i cant seem to sleep during the day.

Tia slept great last night. Savanna on the other hand was up screaming by 3:30am. poor darling has three teeth that have cut through all at once.

i forgot to thank those for their advice RE the controlled crying thing. Ive decided not to do it...it just doesnt seem right.

shell- poor ash lets hope it doesnt flare up again. Did she eat something new that she may be allergic to?? Shell i think the vitamin medicine your talking about is Pentavite. Tiarna has to take it everyday as i have a vitamin D deficiency. Not sure for how long i think either 6 weeks or maybe even indefinitely.

speaking of ambulance cover i just rang and updated Tiarna on the policy.

Maz- so glad your doing well and matty is going great. i too really wanted to bf this time round and am so happy its going well. it can get a little stressfull when Savanna is constantly trying to kiss baby and climb on my lap when im bf but most times she is happy to play on her own.

ness- have you had any weird erotic dreams too? heheh i remember someone last time had them alot. its funny how so many changes occur in pregnancy.. too bad my cleaning compulsiveness hasnt gone away yet. lol first pregnancy i had my hosp bags packed by 20 weeks! haha 2nd time round i waited longer

marni - savanna pretty much eats anything too. even hot curries! she loves green grapes and cheese. everymorning after her breaky she runs to the fridge and swings on the door asking for sheeze (cheese) its so cute. Just keep persisting hun. Have you tried giving her a bowl with the fruit for her to pick at on her own?
i know when savanna gives trouble to eat i try this and even though it may take ages for her to eat she does it at her own pace.

jodi- mums are so great arent they. mine is a godsent!!
i have alot of friends who have no contact with their parents and do everything on their own...i really dont know what id do without my mum. i depend on her so so much.

boo boo- my goodness how do you handle him being away so long?? i cant stand hubby doing nightshift and he's only gone through the night not 6 weeks at a time!!!
we were considering him going to the perth mines. hes a trucky and he'd be doing 2 weeks on 2 weeks off and get to fly back airfair paid. but i dont think im ready for that kinda life ...maybe when the kids are older. how do you do it??

Haha, well as long as we can keep it away from Riv - pink was his favourite colour for a long time there!
Now he goes for the blue and orange crayons (not interested in the others). Actually, I found a bit of green in a particularly yucky nappy today, did a bit of investigating, and yep, the tip of the green crayon's missing.
So there you go Marni - have you tried giving Tia crayons? They seem to be quite the delicacy here.

Thanks everyone for asking how J is going. His eyes are much clearer than yesterday, although still mucky. I am not going to send him to childcare to be on the safe side. I would hate the other kids to get it. So I have swapped my work days around and mum is going to look after him.

Maz - J had that hormonal rash. It does go away. Just not that nice looking.

Ambz - I hope Savanna gives you a better night tonight.

Shell - I am glad that there have been no further signs of the rash.

Belle - Hi! Great to hear from you!

Laurin - Is DH looking for something that means that he won't have to travel so much for work? I know I used to find it hard, and DH was only away no more than a week at a time.

Nelle - J is in to "tasting" crayons at the moment too!

marni - J normally is a really good eater. But since getting sick a week ago, it is a struggle to get anything in to him!

Rylee went to sleep without a peep tonight, first time in aaaaggggeees.
Yes, it is hard with DH being away but the job he does is quite specialised and he would have to wait for a project to come up in Aus and even then it wouldn't be in Melbourne so that is life. There is always something in our lives that isn't perfect, some people have money troubles, health worries, etc, etc and I guess this is my thing so I just have to cope with it. That comes out making me sound like a martar but you get know what I mean....Anyway, enough about me.....
