LOL Cally, I can't believe your mum was told not to expect much of you! If only that MCHN could see you now.
I was going to suggest the tupperware ones too, but they always go for more than they are worth on ebay unless you can get some buy it now.
Pregpan, its so hard on them when they have a cold because they still only breathe from their noses most of the time and when it's blocked it makes it very hard on them. How was he sleep wise? glad you're both over the worst of it now. And DH is fine, but still a little sore still. He had his stitches out today and our GP told him to expect soreness for a few weeks yet. But its not bad soreness, just the soreness you would have recovering from any operation.
I used to cook everything for Lindsay and hardly used brought stuff, but I admit I became a bit of a heinz mum with the girls as their taste in food was completely different to Lindsay and they preferred their food quite bland. They are all fantastic eaters now though and there's not much they don't eat so I guess it didn't do any lasting harm. I can't get over the differences in the food now either. Today I was at woolies while DH was at the Drs and heinz have organic food out to compete with Rafferty's and Bellamys I suppose but it is twice the price of the raffertys and TBH I wouldn't trust heinz as far as I could kick them LOL. Plus Raffertys was on special again today so I brought some more cereals.
Noni, how did the grading at netball go?
Leanne, I hope J's ear clears up soon. Glad X is doing so well.
Hayley, do you think you'll find something different to do or give it away altogether?
MD, did you get much work done in the finish?
Hi SupaB! this age is great as their little personalities really start to shine through.
Yoo-hoooo, where are you Gracie? How is Lewis settling for you?
Well my big boy is turning 7 tomorrow. This time 7yrs ago I was sitting in hospital, having had my show and starting to dilate - I wasn't having contractions though and could have been at home (DH was) but I was glad for the time in hospital by myself so I could mentally prepare myself for what was to come. Its amazing that all this time can pass and I can still remember everything about his birth like it was only yesterday. I can even smell the soap I used while in hospital as I'm sitting here. His was a great first birth I thought - contractions started at 3am at 20mins apart and gradually got closer together and then I had my waters broken at 8am and then they just kept getting closer and closer together until it was time for me to start pushing him out (Oh, DH got there at 5am incase you were thinking I was by myself LOL). Even though I had a long 2nd stage (pushed for 1.5hrs) there was this sense of calm about it all until his head was on view and then it was action stations until he was finally born at 1.20pm. Gosh I'm a sentimental old bugger LOL.
