Hello everyone! So much to catch up on!

Cally, I hope you can get K to have a decent sleep tonight - she needs a good sleep as much as you do.

Arte, LMAO at you putting the wrong date on the calendar, I would be tempted to leave it and go along with the 7th, but knowing my luck I would forget and say it was the 10th and bring me unstuck. Cross it out and blame baby brain

Gracie WTG on L getting another catalogue - seems like he will get a bit of work for spotlight. How are you *feeling* today though?

Gosh, can't remember what else was in the other thread now.

With the eye thing, Lindsay was born with it apparently, which is what caused his left eye to turn (it turned as he had to strain so hard to focus as a baby when he was developing hand and eye co-ordination etc). We have until age of 9 as that is when they eyesight is fully developed, so what it is at 9 is as good as it is going to get. At this stage he wont ever get to be a pilot at all and can legally drive with no glasses on. He can have lasik surgery when he is 18-19 to fully correct it though. DH's sister is short sighted and it wasn't picked up till she was 9-10 when she started having trouble at school etc. Her eyes are dreadful and she can't see a thing without her glasses or contacts in. Oddly enough though Dh is the only one in his family that doesn't wear glasses. I did ask Lindsay's opthamologist if we would have a problem with the other kids and he said it was unlikely. I have perfect vision - I can read the writing on the $10 note LOL.

Sherie, I am glad that L's eyes are getting better. It is such a pain to always have to wear glasses or contacts. I can't even read the time on the alarm clock next to the bed without a heap of squinting. Back at high school when I didn't wear my glasses full time I walked past my mum in the street because I can't make out faces (I needed to but I was nerdy enough without wearing glasses too LOL).

I still feel like a d!ck about the wrong birthday, I have no idea where the 7th came from, he was due on the 14th and born on the 10th.

Cally, hope K is not too blocked up and is feeling better soon.

    hello girls

sherie- i'm feeling a lot better today. thanks for checking on me
i've been struggling a bit with dp's work hours and just feeling like i do everything concerned with lewis. i know it must be much much much harder for you guys with multiple children, but sometimes i just wish dp would take some initiative with lewis iykwim?
like, if i'm in the bathroom getting changed ready for us to go out and he's holding lewis and lewis has got food all down his top, dp will just sit on ebay instead of taking the initiative to go and change lewis and get him ready for me. i always have to do everything.

katie- glad you had a good time with your sis

arte- could you make up a lie and say that it's dh's bday on the 7th so you got them mixed up. i've written the wrong birthday for lewis before cos his is the 7/10 and mine is 7/11.

can't remember anything from the other thread
    sorry girls

noni- hope you're enjoying the new house
i'm thinking of joining ww this week or next week. you did so well on it. do you still go?

    Hi Girls,

OMG I am up to my eyeballs in poo this morning. Xavier has done 3, Jordy has done 2 and Olivia 1... WTF one minute we have a pooing problem then next it wont stop... OH well....lol gotta just laugh I suppose.

Sleep over went well they were all asleep by 9pm. Well girls is am now looking for and evening dress to buy as I have to hoytie toytie dinners to go to with DH for his work. OMG first one is on the 12th July so I am running out of time to get one. Went to Myers yesterday and they wanted $319 for a dress... I really dont want to have to spend that much money and now looks like I have to go into the city to get something. Just wondering if you girls would think it to be ok to wear black pants to a black tie dinner or should I get a dress.

Hayley- I am so glad that Maddie is better.
Gracie- I hope you are feeling better.
Katie- I am glad you had a great weekend with your sister.

Well I better go the boys are suppose to be having there rest but I can hear them jumping on their beds...

Gracie, I sooo hear you on DHs not being self-directed with the baby care. My DH is now very good but I think I nearly went insane in the first couple of years of DD1s life, repeating "Show some initiative!!!" The best cure for this is to create some time (an hour here or there) where you leave bub with DH and then leave the house altogether (having issued only minimal instructions ). Then talk about what has happened/been done while you were out, afterwards. Bit hard when your DH is working such long hours, but even just a little bit here and there might help!

Arte, I was ROFL about the wrong birthday! That's just hilarious. I hear some pretty sensational people were born on the 7th of September . My hard dates to remember is what year to write for DH and DD on the forms, same date I just have to remember to write the right year!

Leanne, LOL glad the drought has well and truly broken! Go you merry team of pooers! I really don't know about the whole black tie thing, that's a bit out of my sphere of experience I"m afraid. I saw some photos of Penny Wong (Govt spokesperson) at the Press Gallery Ball at Parliament House in the Sunday paper and she looked like she was wearing a japanese silk jacket thing (it looked like something you could wear pants with) so I guess if she can, you can!

I'm a complete disorganised clutz this morning. Just had a phone call from the osteopath saying "Are you late?" OMG I happily dropped E off at FDC this morning and forgot completely!!! AAAAARGH! Better go an organise myself I think.

K is a bit better today I think. Not much coughing. Did have a very early start to the day - woke at 5:20 and no matter what I tried she did not want to go back to sleep. At least she had a 2.25 hour nap so ended up back on track for the day. Stupid me didn't go back to bed though!

Gracie - can you just tell DH what to do, in a nice way ie 'I'll go and get the nappy bag and put the pram in the car, can you change his top'. Then after that for a little while he might start thinking for himself. Maybe - he is a man though!

Leanne - what a lot of poo!

lewis isn't feeling well, he's got a fever and he's all down and out. he doesn't want to eat and he's all whingey. poor little man

glad it's not just my man that has lack of initiative,
cally- i do do what you say but i get so sick of having to spell everything out for him. i get sick of the sound of my own voice, i feel like such a school teacher. i wish he could just think for himself iykwim?

md- i've only ever left the 2 of them alone once and i'm not game to do so again. i came back and they were both asleep on the couch together, all the lights in the house on, tv blaring, both wearing the same clothes they'd worn all day. nightmare.
did you end up going to your appointment?

leanne- great work on all the poo! when it rains, it pours

renee- enjoy your holiday. hopefully your ILs won't tag along like poor hayley.
just thought i'd let you know, i ended up buying the dermadoctor eye cream (pregpan you might be interested in this too- cosmetics junkie!) and it is fantastic. i can see a difference already. very exxy though
