Noni have you checked out with Centrelink/Family Assistance Office what childcare benefit percentage they would give you? When we had DD1 Centrelink paid 90% of my childcare fees meaning I only had to pay less than $1 per hour she was in care (Centrelink pays direct to the CC provider so you only pay the gap each fortnight). It might be more affordable than you think, even if it's only one day/half day a week. Sorry I'm not being nosy but i remember what it's like having to count every penny and it sounds like you need that time like I do (I've never had family to look after my kids either).

Noni- You poor love Please dont think you are horrible. Your doing and awesome job with Asha. Asha is just being a toddler and I really know how you feel cause omg you should see my house some days... With the boys pulling crap out everywhere and Livi starting to do the same too some days I just have to sit there and laugh cause if I didnt I would be crying all the time..lol

Biting- Livi has bitten her daddy on the stomach and Jordy on the finger, Me on the finger and Xavier has yet to experience her biting.

Livi likes to turn the tv off in the play room (lounge room that kids have over run with toys) and does this when the boys are watching a movie. hehehehehehhe... She loves to turn the volume up on the tv in the family room. She also enjoys the remotes and pulling all the teatowels out of the draw in the kitchen and the facewashers in the bathroom and put them all over the floor. Oh and has just discovered the cordless phone if its left lying around in her reach. Also loves to open the tupperware cupboard up and pull it all out on the kitchen floor. To sum it all up she is into everything and anything that she can not reach she just points and grunts... lol

Hello to everyone and have a great weekend

I am off tomorrow to the post office to put the application in for mine and the kids passports... We are off to America in January for 3 weeks with DH family.

Noni I think they are all just at that age, L actually laughs at me before he takes something he shouldnt and runs away he even hides things from me. I know how trying it is though and how hard it is not to react sometimes. I find that if it is all getting a little bit to much I put L in his cot for 5 mins and go and sit outside, even if he is crying when I come back in I seem to be able to deal with it a lot better. You are not a bad mummy though, your human. L loves to sing and dance so I always distract him with that.

It seems all our kids are doing a lot of the same things, when it isn't driving me crazy I love to sit and watch him explore things. The fascination (sp) on his face sometimes is utterly adorable.

I am so glad that I am not the only one who forgets to brush their teeth. I remember most mornings but at night sometimes I dont remember until I have put him in bed. It is a struggle to brush his teeth, I stand behind and just do what he will let me and then give him the toohbrush.

Its so hot here today, might see if DH wants to head to the beach when he gets home. Mind you my house looks like a demolition site and I really should be cleaning it.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY RAINY!!!!!!

Ok, some of Leila's antics include: opening the pantry and pulling everything out (which according to some psychoanalyst is her way of 'emptying the mothers womb'...WTF??!), climbing the couch/bed and jumping up and down. pulling all her books off the shelf, opening and discarding all contents in the bathroom drawer, taking anything in the kitchen within reach to the bathroom and dumping it in the bath, taking the phone off the hook, banging the crappola outta the laptop, eating from the dog/cat bowl (a particular fav!), tipping the dog/cat bowls of water all over the place the smearing it over the floor for added effect, hiding things in hard to reach places, sucking on wet wipes (what the?), spraying talcum powder all over the carpet, undoing her sippy cup and pouring contents on floor, raiding our wallets and distributing contents over the house, pulling out flowers from the garden, eating dirt...hhhmm that's all i can think of so far.

    Rainy, Happy Birthday!!

Gee, I didn't think W was particularly naughty but he does most of the stuff the others are doing. We have kiddy catches on all the kitchen cupboard doors, all the bathroom drawers are empty - everything is hidden in a container he can't open (yet!!). We bought an old sideboard as a T.V cabinet so all the electronics were up higher. The only things that really bug me are the constant dips in the dog water, pushing the trolley shelves in the laundry (was so delighted when he discovered it moved) until it tips over and spills all the washing powder out - then smears it around and opening the c.d drive of the computer - I know that one day he is going to snap it off.

Noni, when he gets into something he isn't allowed I follow my mum's method for training dogs lol - Ask, Tell, Make. So I ask him not to do something, then tell him in a firmer voice, then move him away from it. I usually sit him in the middle of the floor, walk away and then try to distract him with a toy in the opposite direction of whatever he shouldn't have been playing with. I have had a few growly moments lately that I am not proud of. I find if we don't get outside or to activities it is madness here. Sometimes just putting him in the pram and going for a long walk helps with the cabin fever.

    Leanne, you lucky thing!

I smell bbq, gots to go.

Noni, as you can see we all know what you mean. Maddie is exactly the same, its just the age & stage that they are at, exploring & getting into absolutely everything. We basically use Arte's little example, I find a firm no works wonders and she tends to get the hint. I was taught at childcare (when I studied it) that you shouldnt use the word 'no' with children, however I find this a bit ridiculous, a simple 'no' never hurt anyone.
Things Maddie has done/loves to do - pour talcum powder over the entire bathroom & then put it all over my black work clothing on the way out the door to work, poo on the kitchen floor (hahaha), pulls the wooden spoons etc out of the drawers, walk around with dad's tapemeasure, walk around with shoes and dump them everywhere, steal the toiletbrush (yes she did this as well!), Climb onto the lounge and pounce off it onto the poor cat, pull cd's & dvd's out, chew the remotes, turn the tv on & off....the list is endless. Its just them exploring and its how they learn. You can even try encourage A to use her own drawer in the kitchen, that you can fill with plastic utensils. Then when she is into something she shouldnt be, you can redirect her to her own drawer. Also I second what MD said about childcare & looking into what centerlink can offer you, dont get me wrong I love being with M but I cherish those two days a week where I am babyfree and at work. I get a break. M LOVES daycare, yes she's been sick a bit but she is getting much better with avoiding bugs (touch wood). She loves other kids, it would do A good as well as yourself.

Leemar - LUCKY YOU!!! You guys will have a great time, where in the USA are you off to?

    Rainy - Happy bday love.

MD - Wow you always come up with good advice for others, what a great person & mother you are.

Well we've just booked our honeymoon, well flights anyway, to Malaysia. Flights land & depart in KL, but we are then going elsewhere, probably either Langkawi or Phuket. I wanted the flights to land in Singapore but ah well cant be fussy, the flights are dirt cheap. & we are taking M on our honeymoon, DP and I both discussed it and we cant bear to be apart from her for 10 days.

Ok, i admit, i scanned, didn't read per se, so please excuse me if i've missed something important.

    PP-CONGRATULATIONS! Great news.

MD- Hope it is nothing serious luv. Best thing about the liver is how it manages to regenerate. Fingers crossed it was those nasty AB's and you will be on the mend sooner rather than later. I live in the bush over the hill from Rainy, so it's about an hour, but when you live inthe country that makes us practically neighbours!

Rainy- Happy birthday sly dog! You are not HUGE. You look great. I know you feel like crap, so do i, but i have decided you should only look at your body in the mirror, not from your head looking down. Your guts looks much bigger from your own angle!

MM- need me to be the travelling Nanny? *jelous*

Arte- I'm all good thanks. No more shingles, nausea only around in mornings, only throwing up occasionally so things are looking positively wonderful! Lu has started saying Ba for bath, and i thought of little W, it was him that says Ba for bath wasn't it?

Gotta go read a story..... bbl

Ange, that is great that the morning sickness is confining itself to the actual morning now! It isn't W that says Ba for bath, sheep say Baa though lol

Rainy, take ange's advice and only look in mirrors - I remember feeling huge and now I look at the photos from the time and I was barely showing, just looked chubby (well, chubbier)

Clare, I figure my mum has several obedience champions, she must know what she is talking about lol How did your scary interview go the other week?

Trill, isn't the little car sound so adorable! W has gone crazy for planes and trucks, he gets all excited and chatters and points at them. The other day he was so excited he nearly cried when a plane went out of sight lol He is such a boy, he has also started telling me when he farts LMAO

MM, yay for the honeymoon. We still haven't got around to ours

W brought the toilet bush to me once saying Tee sss (teeth) and trying to brush his teeth with it. I make sure the toilet door is shut now.

Hey Ange. Glad that the shingles have buggered off and you're feeling better in general. It was Alister that said 'ba' for bath LOL. V cute that L does it too now.

Arte, Alister laughs when he or someone else farts - such a boy!
