    Selfish post warning ladies .........

My damn irritable uturus has been up to it's old trick again.

I spent yesterday and last night in hospital with contractions 3 mins apart at times.

My cervix is short but still closed thank goodness and no sign of dilation which is the most important thing. If this continues I'll be on complete bedrest for the remainder of this pregnancy - which would be interesting to say the least with a toddler to tend too !!

Still having constant pain and contractions but no set pattern to them ATM. Please cross fingers that this little one stays put til the end like I managed to do with Hamish.

Oh and remind me..........if I ever ever ever get clucky again..........remind me what this feels like. Im NOT doing this ever ever again....

Sorry for the selfish rant.......just needed to get that off my chest. Don't think I'll ever DTD again just to be sure.

Busted by Joel being out of bed....gotta go !

    Hope you are all well

Rainy good idea to let DH tell her, you really dont need any more grief from her.

Of course he gets it all from Arte! LOL.

Cindy, I really hope that you don't have anymore episodes like that hun, it must be draining both physically and emotionally for you

G, I think maybe just this once you need to take the high road because it gives her nothing to complain about kwim? If it filters back via the grapevine, then it filters back and there's nothing you can do about that, but she can't ever say that you deliberately did it kwim?

Rainy - I agree with Trill, best not to stoop to her level.

Cindy - oh no, poor thing. You need a laptop and wireless internet!! Got everything crossed here!

MD - how was the concert last night in the rain?

Trill - what did they gyno say?

We got so much rain yesterday, it was lovely. We had our work Christmas party at a restaurant at a local lake, that is currently closed to the ocean - and there are 3 dolphins trapped in the lake that swam past while we were having dessert!! I was so excited!! Hardly ever seen dolphins before.

Well DD has decided that she prefers one of us sitting in with her holding her hand while she goes to sleep. She was doing it with DH all week, but not me. Last night she woke at 2 and it took me an hour to get her back to sleep properly. I was strong tonight though, she got there on her own. Kind of cute though, the moment I would walk back in to the room, she would lie back down again, she knew she was supposed to be asleep.

Other than that all is good. DD came running up to me last night when she had her pj's on, pointing at her chest - time for boobies!! DH and I both cacked ourselves!

One more week of work and then the holidays!!!

boohoooo. I think i poisened DD! (ok being a bit of a drama queen, but have had about 45min sleep!) I made a shephards pie last night with leftover roast and some vegies, as soon as i finished eating it it came straight back up. I immediately took it away from Lu but she had eaten a couple of mouthfulls, the poor little thing has been vomiting since about 11pm. Nothing coming up but bile now. Wish i could fix it for her. DH is fine though, maybe he has a guts of iron.

I am so careful with meat leftovers, it was cooled and stored in the fridge. Only other thing i can think of is we dropped into a friends in Torquay on Friday arvo and her DH was vomiting and had to go to bed. So i guess it could be a bug, but i don't feel sick just didn't keep dinner down. So my bet is i tried to knock us all off with dodgy pie! Never having leftovers again.

Anyway Lu just gone to bed again so i'm going to catch some zzzzz's too.

Oh no Ange! I hope she is OK soon.

Noni, that's great everything went well at the scan. A few days either side doesn't really matter much.

My Gyno called late Friday and said that he found some scar tissue on my bowel and some new adhesions there and towards my back (which explains a lot - most of what I was feeling was in my back and I get V painful bowel motions during AF) and adhesions in a few other places. Luckily they were only small and he got it all. So now I just have to pay attention to what goes on with me over the next 6wks till I see him again and let him know if anything is still funky or not.

WOW sounds like quite a bit of work was done during your lap sherie..........no wonder you feel a bit off still hun.... Hope things only improve from here for you.

Fal - Hope you and Lu feel better soon and don't feel too bad - it may not have been the pie afterall, there's plenty of bugs going round that's for sure.

Noni - Great news from the dating scan and I hear ya about the EDD - it's just a guide hey !

Hope you all are well and had a good weekend.

Im doing ok....... still feeling a little crampy but nothing like the other day. So far so good. Thanks for the well wishes.

JG, glad to hear the IU has settled down again

Rainy, he gets it all from me!!! Nah, he is quite smart but I don't think he is a super genius. I was apparently the same as a bub except I could talk in 2-3 word sentences by this age and I just turned out average.

Trill, sounds like they did quite a bit during the lap! Hope it was worth it and makes you feel better

Ange, Oh no!! Hope L is better now. I thought left over roast meats were safe??

Noni, yay for the your scan, glad it is as good for the second bub as the first

I just had my first day away from W. DH had a bit of trouble getting him to sleep and ended up going for a drive (he has never put W to bed before). Apart from that I think they were fine. W didn't even seem very excited to see me when I got home. I went to the nearest city 1.5 hours away to do some shopping. It was a pretty average day and then DH was an A-hole when I got home because I went $50 over budget and didn't get a present for my mum and step father. And apparently vouchers are the gift that says 'I couldn't be bothered finding you anything decent' and reflect poorly on him by association if I give them as gifts. Grrrrr. He is sucking the fun out of christmas.

Oh well, I got W a few toys and a little foam fold out couch. We are going to let him open his presents tomorrow because we are going away at the end of the week and aren't going to cart his presents half way across the country so he can open them on the actual day.

Arte- tell him to do his own shopping if he has an issue with the gifts you choose! Ungrateful men. pffffft. Lu absolutly loves her fold out couch, She gets books and teddys and sits on there for ages 'reading' and playing. Then she pretend to have a rest (gets that from me clearly!) cracks me up. Their powers of observation blow me away, today i had a CD in the laptop and i took it out. She came and picked it up, went and found a DVD case that was on the floor, opened it up and put the cd in. I was gobsmacked, i need to be more careful with things i do i think, they take so much in. No more nose picking i guess!

Sherie- Good news on the results. Great they could get all the adhesions. How you feeling? Did you get any rain from this front?

JG- Glad things are poking along ok for now.

As for us............I thought it was the pie but now i am having a rethink, DH is sick tonight so that can't be from last nights dinner. Think we picked up a bug at our friends house. ah well, at least it seems to be a 12 hour one. Lu went down at 6pm so fingers crossed she sleeps through. Still fed the pie to the puppies though!

Ange, glad that L is better tonight. Yip, the power of observation is crazy! I got distracted and left a bag of rubbish in the hallway and W came along and picked it up and went and put it in the outside bin! He has also started copying the little babies at mothers group - he lays down on the floor and says 'bubba waa waa waa', very cute!
