When do you need to have the biopsy done MD?
Not sure, they faxed the referral thru but it needs to be triaged at the other end before I'm given an appt time...will know more then. I expect it will be a couple of days after my first appt with the oncology mob. Oncology. There's a word I don't like to be using!!
goodmorning ladies
just popping on to congratulate md on her great news :) hope u enjoyed that wine!!
might be back later.. still have heaps of housework to do did 7 loads of washing yesterday and theres still atleast 10 man ive been slack!! really wanna get it all done before my friend comes on sunday as well as not wanting to come home to a mess when we go away after the wedding.. needa get it to a maintainable level..
mwah mwah
Oh MD, you've given me happy tears today my love  I'm so happy that you got over this first hurdle, I was so worried about it. Any other challenge will be surmountable and soon you will be able to put all this behind you and move forward.
Ange, LOL at you trying the passage of India. Super great news about the BP staying good too, which must be a miracle in itself considering all you've had on your plate lately  Lets just hope the game doesn't go into over time though LOL.
Hayley, you're not going to see this today more than likely, but I wish you all the best for tomorrow and it's going to be an amazing and special day for you all
Hi to everyone else!
Alister is gorgeously busy as always LOL. I think he's actually beefed up a bit cause he had his jeans on yesterday (was chilly here) and they weren't dragging on the ground, cause when I brought them the waist was a bit loose on him so they hung down on him a bit, but yesterday they were fine. About time if he has though LOL. I am having a problem with him lately of only wanting to eat crap all the time, or fruit, which is normally fine but it's giving him the runs and he's got a nasty sore bum from the toxic poos he's doing. He will stand at the fridge or cupboard and say peeeaase and point at it and it's really hard to get him to change his mind, hence why all the fruit cause I can usually get him to eat that instead. I'm wondering too if his gut is out of whack too.
Well I'm back to the PC for the time being. I discovered that the laptop I brought was not the one with the 320gb HD, but the smaller 250gb one, so I had to take it back but as always they had run out of the one I was supposed to get. So I gave them a reaming and said that more care should have been taken because I paid for a computer I didn't get and if I didn't happen to check they could have gotten away with it. So now I have to wait till next week for them to get one in and told them in no uncertain terms that if it wasn't here by next week I would be getting a refund and going elsewhere to buy it. I think they were hoping that I would just keep that one and they would refund me the $300 difference, but the smaller one is no good to me.
Clare hunny, how are you doing today? I've been thinking about you. Did you see the tonsie man yet? What's happening about the clot situation?
Trill, we're having similar iss-ewes on the eating front. With us, Miss E thinks it's biscuit time any time of day or night . Her high chair faces toward the corner in the kitchen where *that* cupboard is and there's a lot of gesticulating and shrieking (and refusal to eat anything else) that goes on.What size is A taking now? E was in her 0s for the longest time - but seems to be shooting straight through the 1s, I've got a heap of cool weather gear in the 1s but we might have to detour direct to 2s soon.
Noni - get that washing done sweets! You know that lovely feeling when a whole basket is done and folded - just remind yourself that's what you're going for! It will be an exciting week for you :D
ETA - wondering if we'll hear from MM again over the next day or so, she's soooo totally addicted LOL! So nice to think of her all caught up in the wedding flurry...and only days later it'll be Noni. :) Ah I'm getting nostalgic about my wedding now...
Rainy - We're all counting on you Madam PIG! BTW - how those nipples going - ordinary sore, or problem-is-brewing sore??
Ummm he's in a 1 for pants, cause they usually sit so low cause he has no bum LOL and even then I need adjustable waist ones (but his jeans aren't, they are Gymboree brand from the US and they are slim fit ones for skinny kids ;) ) size 2 tops, jumpers, shirts and jumpsuits cause his torso is really long, just like the other kids and their Dad. And 2 in a bonds wondersuit, but he's really stretching those and I really love them over winter so I don't know what to do there. I had a look in all their books the other day and he's the same height as Lindsay was at 18mths (88cm) but about 4kg lighter by my guess LOL. Lindsay was such a tall, solid little boy and Alister is my beanpole like Paige is. She finally grew out of her size 2/3 knickers and I brought her 3/4's the other day ROFL and she'll be five in 3 months, but she'll love her genes when she's a teenager no doubt. I also had to pension off the size 00,0 and 1's she was wearing in skirts too because they finally got too tight around the waist.
lOL at your beanpoles! You might have to enter A into our corn-off this summer...LOL.
Actually I think Missy E mostly out of her 1s in the tops - long torso like your lot. Most of her 0s (bottoms) have been ok up until now. Only weeded them out on Friday! But she's finally starting to chub up a bit more...must be all those biscuits LOL.
oh my gosh guys my bubba is a monster comparitively lol.. shes still fitting most her 1s but some things getting very tight.. were only buying 2s now and they arent too big except one pair of jeans shes got.. shes 11kgs now almost and quite tall too!!
I think Missy E is somewhere around the 11-12 kg too Noni. But she grows out length first and I think she must be a bit on the tall side because she's as tall/taller than most of the 2+ yos at kindergym! LOL So our girls are prolly a pretty similar size.
Morning Girls,
Sorry Ive been MIA.
MD- Congratulations and hope your wine was nice and cold.
Noni- How are the wedding plans going.
MM- Hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow.
Clare- Hope you are ok
Cloths size: Livi is in a size 2 she weighs around 13kg and is tall.
ATM we are all great. I still have my cough that I can not shake off. Am looking forward to the weekend.
Hello to everyone and
Have a great day
Hi everyone,
Thought i'd jump on quickly before i go and have my cuppa and a caramel scroll:p
Hannah is so tiny compared to everyone and she's the oldest!!!! My mum bought her a little bonds tracksuit in size 2 and the pants came up to her shoulders!!
Trill - H is doing the same thing as A at the moment. She hardly has anything for breakfast - unless it's pureed fruit or two fruits and she hasn't been eating any sandwiches. So she's doing lots of poos too.
i did a naughty thing today and gave her a lollipop at the shops. She'd eaten all of the healthy stuff i'd packed to keep her quiet, and i still had more shopping to do, so i bought the lollipop. She loved it! There was sticky goo everywhere, and she tried to stick it onto some unsuspecting lady's bum! (that would have just been too funny)
Anyway, i shall be off! My scroll is calling my name. (oh no - now i've got the song 'Strokin' " back in my mind:doh:
LOL Jaz, that would have been too funny if she did that. IKWYM about eating all the good stuff you pack and then having to buy something else. I never go into the supermarket these days without a container of crackers and a frozen squeezy yoghurt (dairy farmers) and every time we go past the dairy section if he sees them he has the arm out going 'peeeeaaaase?' in this really pitiful can't-you-see-I'm-starving-mum kind of way LOL. But getting him past the lollypops at the checkout is the hardest cause he loves them.
LOL MD, I might just have to do that. Or maybe we can do runner beans, that's right up his alley too.
oh md that is such a relief:clap: i read your story last night on my phone and didn't know what to say. i was thinking of ringing you, but i dont have your number. well, it is good news for now. you can relax (sort of) tonight. boy, i was so worried for you.... now i know why u didn't want 2 race out and have coffee with me.
T is over 12.5 kgs and is 83cm last time i checked. i buy her size 2 everything. she is very grown up esp this week chatting away and trying to say things. i caught her holding my phone up to her ear (again) and saying something uncomprehenable and then cracks up laughing, exactly like i do... oh boy another me!
jazmum - how was the caramel scroll!! deeelicious.
trillian - oh boy, T isn't doing that at the counter YET. thats the reason they put it at the counter, coz u think oh heck yes go on have it and shut up. lol.
noni - did i catch wind of u telling us what the bubba will be? oh i soooo want to hear too.... how exciting going for another scan. i couldn't imagine walking back into that room!
T is going to a maccas bday party 2nite, her friend is 2. bought her a cotton on tutu skirt dress up thing in hot pink.
Oh ladies, just have to have a vent at the FDC situation - OMG it's grim out here. noooooo places anywhere, the only places have been with dreadful carers. Saw one this afternoon, sounded lovely over the phone BUT the children she had were bored out of their minds, there was no garden, no activities set up, no educational toys visible ANYWHERE, only a huge pile of dirty old toys jumbled up in a corner. Now I don't mind if toys are bit on the old side, we've got some good ones that I've picked up at garage sales, etc but PLEASE can they be clean, sorted and in good repair?? Plus she had this huge mammoth crawling 13 mth old DD that kept trying to pull herself up by grabbing E's clothes - whereupon E would start crying (at nearly being pulled over roughly by this gigantic child). This child kept doing it repeatedly (no intervention from the mother) and THEN she insinuated that E was upset because she 'obviously wasn't in contact with many children' WTF? No actually, she has superior social skills and has been socialising just fine for a year now with a number of children of many ages who PLAY NICELY and RESPECT HER PERSONAL SPACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Urgh. Run a mile.
Did I mention I've now worked my way through a list of a DOZEN carers. It shouldn't be this hard. Unfortunately I'm competing with ABC child care centre families (not really "fair" since I've been a total FDC supporter from the beginning). *sigh*
Fortunately, another lady I rang earlier this week rang me back to say she has no places (pity, she sounded like a normal switched-on carer with nice children and clean house) BUT gave me a number of another carer who has 1.5 days...with another vacancy coming up in June. I nearly shouted "I'll take it!!!" down the phone without meeting her. I have a good feeling, she's got the right vibe...
oh md i just had to log on to see how you were and what FAB news honey - i am so happy for you. sorry i couldnt post last night. so there's one hurdle you can tick off the list - wow!!!
MM sooo excited for you - though guess you arent reading LOL!
MD that FDC lady sounds terrible... wow a dozen already... i hope this next one turns out to be good.
N is in size 1 for most things... a couple of 2's (bonds) and some that say 18 months (country road type stuff). he is about 11.5kg i think (was 11.1 a whle back but has put on weight lately) and i have no idea how tall - maybe 80cm. no idea really LOL what a bad mummy!
re the eating N still goes thorugh most things... i can try to post some mroe ideas - i make a mean baked risotto (bill granger recipe) that he cant get enough of.. the main things he wont do are eggs (so i put them in things) and cheese unless he is really hungry or it is in pasta etc. he LOVES roast!!! mum made one last week and he ate more than me LOL!
he has had his 1st bout of nappy rash this week - i wonder if it is all the fruit now you guys mention it, he is a fruit machine!! it is going now thankfully... might lay off the fruit a little bit (if i can!).
How frustrating MD. Here's hoping the next one is ok. I bet you high tailed it out of the last one's house, what a witch.
Trill- yeah it goes to show my BP isn't too effected by stress. lmao. Will have to check out the squeezy yoghurt things you speak of... sound good.
Clare- i was worrying about you to. You haven't ben around, hope all is ok.
Rainy- GL with the IL's. Don;t worry, they will be more uncomfortable than you, after all it's your house. (And you can always ask them to leave!)
So here's my vent for the day. Lu is what you might call 'spirited' She knows what she wants and she wants it NOW, and look out when mum says No, she'll scream the place down, all drama queen like, head in hands, holding breath, yanno, the full deal.
Anyhoo i was in Myers the other day and she wasn't in a stroller (bad move) and was toddling around with me in toe trying to stop her destroying the place. She was being ok, but there were a few objections when i said 'no, you can't touch that'. A portrait place lady came up to try and sell me pics, i said no thanks. She then said "Are you going to put her into a modelling agency, she is gorgeous" I replied with "No, probably not, not really our thing" She then said............... "Well she would certainly do well........... if only you had more control of her." *****! She was very lucky i didn't say anything else i tell ya. But man it ****ed me right off. She is 17 months FFS, what does she expect me to do. Reason with her? belt her? :wall:
So i have realised i am one of those mothers people look sideways at b/c my child seems to be 'misbehaving'. She is not a naughty kid, but she is very determined and LOUD. And just because she is like that doesn't mean i am going to say yes to her all the time to keep her quiet. Don't get me wrong, i do sometimes give her something to placate her, but i wont give her what she wants b/c she has a tantrum. So she has many, and we get many looks. Ah well. I know i'm not alone, but that lady in myers really made my blood boil.
omg!!! there was just an earthquake here
i am shaking like a leaf
You ok love? We didn't feel here, but my bro did 5 mins away. Mum and dad live right on the beach on sand so maybe that's why we didn't feel it....
hi girls!!
wowsers i have missed lots!
hmmm, leila is still quite tiny...i *think* we may have reached the 10 kilo mark (4 weeks ago she was 9.4kgs). so we are still dabbling in the 0 to 1s. and she is a size 4 shoe...don't we know it . seriously she has a shoe fetish that has me worried.
Ange: WTF was the lady on about. seriously, i woulda opened a can of whoop-ass on her. (or at least i would have thought of a million snappy comebacks in my head...LOL! i am so not brave...but i can hold a grudge and death stare with the best of them!). and ah, dont worry about the sideways glances...we get the full frontal ones LOL! leila is also 'spirited' and usually ends with her sprawled out in the aisles of myers with a collette dinnigan tutu in her fist and her frazzled mother on the other end trying desperately to pretend it's not happening [again].
MD: well, FDC is purty notorious for being 'tricky'. but stick to your guns and go with the good vibes. it will pan out in the end i am sure of it...if not, become the FDC lady. :D (i'm like totally serious BTW).
JaZMum: leila had her first bit of dark chocolate the other day and i swear i have unleashed a demon.
Sherie: we'll join you on the bean pole stakes. although leila tends to have quite the rotund belly...
Leanne: oooh still sick??!! it's been ages for you girl! i have heard that powdered vitamin c (get it from pharamacies) is awesome for this kind of stuff...
AFM: well, i dont have a blood clot!!!:dance:. but do have a sore leg...which has been identified as a symptom of severe iron deficiency. supposedley we are meant to have a level around 20 something in our blood and i have one of 2. so the GP tells me that explains the dizzy spells i have had since my hospital stay and the vision problems. so am now on MORE medication this time for anaemia...oh happy days. and i still have tonsilitis. urrghhhh.
Leila in the last week has just done leaps and bounds in terms of her speech and cognitive development. i find it quite amazing. for me i now truly find that i have a little girl as opposed to a little baby. her mannerisms are definitely child-like now. i am loving it too! i love being able to converse with her and watch her negotiate her language and expression. so much fun!!
we have also had to buy a new cot...2 days ago i heard this hysterical laughing and a big bang, so walk into her room and there she is in her sleepsuit laughing like mad at her cot side which is now HANGING from it's brackets. the little munster kicked it out!!!!!!!! i can't believe it. so we bit the bullet and splurged (with promises of 'the next baby will use it' and other whimiscal statements) and bought the leander cot that we had been wanting from day dot...such a ridiculous extravagance and i am having major mummy guilt over it, but DH was adamant that that was THE cot to last...watch this space...i am sure miss L has other ideas.
Clare, lol about having to buy a new cot at this stage! We bought a baby monitor for the first time the other week with the same reassurances that it will get used for the next kid. Luckily for me it scanned at $5 instead of $99 and the shop lady had to give it to me at the scanned price - bargain! Bummer about the low iron, but yay for no blood clot.
O.K, so I might have been a bit Twilight addicted - I read through the 2,3 and 4th books between Saturday and Thurday, including one frustrating day waiting for DH to get home with the last book. Now I have nothing to do with my time.
Rainy, do you not get earthquakes very often? They are quite common here, but then I do live right under an active volcano. How is your milk going now? Have you managed to get some sleep?
JaZaH, lol about H trying to stick lollypop to a ladies bum! W also had his first lollypop the other week, he loved it and kept kissing it.
Ange, that lady would have p1ssed me off! I would have been furious and thought of the perfect comeback on the way out of the carpark lol. Of course you can't give in to every tantrum, I don't know what people expect. However, I am one of the people that stare at tantruming kids, but it is not a judgement on their parenting, more a 'thank god that isn't me'
I have been meaning to ask - I weighed W at 11 months and he was 10.2kgs, then at 13 months he was 10.2Kgs and then I weighed him again at 17.5 months and he was still 10.2Kgs! I am weighing him on the same scales, weigh myself then hold him and work out the difference. Is that normal to have no weight gain in 6 months? He is getting taller, wears size 2 tops and 1.5pants (rolled up a bit - short but has a wide body).
Hey Arte. LOL at you powering through those books - that's something I would do. I think it would be fine, Alister really stagnated with his weight for ages and even now I can't be 100% sure he's gained any weight, but he *feels* heavier when I pick him up and his pants aren't hanging down as much ROFL. I measure his height though cause I measure the other kids from time to time and mark it on a door frame so he likes to do it when they do  and because I measured Lindsay for his 8th birthday the other day, I had to measure The Boy as well.
Are you OK now G? We haven't had an earthquake in a few years, so we must be about due for one.
Ange, she's not uncontrollable, the picture place woman just had the shi ts cause you turned her down. They are really persistent and I reckon it was the best thing our local Myer ever did when they got rid of them here. They would hunt you down as soon as you stepped into the childrens area. But TBH I don't go into Myer unless he's in the stroller or otherwise I would be running after him too and get nothing done so you're definately not alone with your 'uncontrollable' child ;) In fact I would dare anyone to show me a toddler that would follow their parent in a compliant manner and NEVER put a foot out of line in a shop. They just don't exist LOL. Definately check out the yoghurts, they are fab - you just plug them in and away they go - no spoons and no mess!
Clare, OMG hun, I would be fed up to here *puts hand somewhere high above her head* with all you're going through health-wise. I hope this new lot of meds get you back to where you're supposed to be and I guess while ever you have the tonsilitis you are at risk of suffering in other ways too
Leanne, and you too! I missed that bit in your post earlier. It's such a nuisannce.
MD, that is just so *wrong* of that FDC lady. I would be in half a mind to say something, but with places so limited as it is the parents will probably put up with more than they normally would because they are desperate for the place :( Sending you some positive *Fantastic FDC Lady* vibes and hope that the next one is The One. There is the same problem here though, everyone seems to be moving away from centre-based care in into FDC but there aren't many that do it and the ones that do are older women, so they don't take on as many kwim?
PP, Alister is one of *those* toddlers that will have a fave food for a few days and then the next time he will refuse it, so it sure keeps me on my toes with what to give him. Like ATM he is even completely off his veg, so they have to be hidden. And he never eats potato (but Erin was the same and never ate it till she was 2 and now eats it fine). He is really fickle with meat too - wont eat Roast meat, but will have silverside, wont eat chicken, but will eat schnitzel. The only thing I know he will eat 100% of the time is mac cheese LOL.
Artechim-$5 instead of $99 is flipping fantastic! Should I start scanning things in case they r cheap + if full price take back lol.
Clare-wow u bought the Leaner cot, that was my choice, but ended up with Ikea one, the back killer, coz no side drops down. Enjoy it.
Rainy-gee an earthquake!
Ange-wow that lady was so rude. Do u think it just came out wrong, or did she mean to b so mean?
Cassius2-ha ha T is in love with shoes too. I am so relieved u don't have a blood clot! Gee ur iron levels r so low! Get some meat or lentils into ya girl!
MD-yeah start Ur own! I could never get my head around the fact there is a baby boom + all the child care centres r closing down + generally pple pay $60 per day. Sorry rambling!
Jazmum + Cassius-ooooh yeah T can sniff chocolate a mile off. If I ask her would u like some chocolate ohhh boy straight 2 me like a magnet + then starts getting desperate if I take too long.
Gee I don't know how u girls keep up with everything + the housework + playing with the kids! Beats me!
Trill-what brand is that squeezy yoghurt, sounds awesome! She doesn't finish the tubs too much so that sounds great!
My hands r going numb from txting on my phone. Lol
OMG SupaB! You did that entire post from your phone?! Sterling effort LOL. The yoghurts are Dairy Farmers brand and they also have a screw cap lid, so you can pop them back in the fridge if they don't eat it all. I keep them in the freezer mostly so they are thawed by the time I get to town etc, plus I have a tiny lttle cooler back with an ice brick in it to make sure it does't get warm. TBH, sometimes the housework doesn't all get done in a day ;) But there is always tomorrow....
Trill, we haven't had those, but I do freeze the go-gurt tubes, cut them in half and give them to E like an icey pole. I will look out for those other ones, I'm starting to need more shopping distractions now, I reckon they would work a treat.
Clare - woohoo hunny I'm so pleased it's not a blood clot, The sore leg sounds ouchy though. Are they going to look at taking your tonsies out? Surely you could just get hysterical and scream until someone agrees to do it....or better still just CRY. Drs don't deal with that very well, IME LOL. BTW I lol'd at your dark chocolate demon-unleashing moment!!
Ange - oh, that woman just needs to get real! She just needed to make herself feel superior for a moment to get over the rejection over a job that she has invested far too much of herself in, probably because she doesn't have a sense of meaning or purpose anywhere else in her life!! ie she is a sad cow. I think what you have described is perfectly normal toddler behaviour, I'd be worried TBH is any of our kidlets weren't showing signs of being "spirited" at this age and stage!!
BTW - I will *not* be starting a new career as a FDCer- not my thaing. I firmly believe it takes a special breed of woman to do it well - and I ain't her. TRill, you are absolutely right, a lot of the carers up here are the older women, they have lots of limitations - like - only doing 3 days a week, OR no-one under the age of 2 OR not during school pickup time because godforbid that means I would have to put another child-seat in my car (and that's just waaaaay to inconvenient ). When did society and having a job and whatever become all about convenience? Used to be a time when you did what you did and enjoyed it (or not) and if it was hard work then that was part of the satisfaction?!
SupaB - darlink I will give you hand massage when we meet for coffee - I'm sure you must be cramping still after that mega-texting effort LOL!
Arte - does that mean you have a volcano action-plan in case Mt Doom fires up? LOL
Rainy, I hope you have recovered from your earth-quake fright. I am trying to not watch the news for a bit, so you'll have to tell me what happened. xxx How are those bbs holding up?
Well DH has taken my girls out with him on his errands this morning (collecting ebay purchases LOL) so I'd best go and get some study done!! First I might have a bath though, with my himalayan ionizing crystal salt. PMSL.
ETA - BTW - anyone else humming the wedding march this morning?? I'm sure MM will be having a goooooorgeous day!!
Oz, how are you today? Is the MS getting better?
MD, I am with you on the FDC thing, some people are born to do it but it so isn't me. I went to Lollypops (one of those big indoor playground things) the other week and it was terrifying!! Kids everywhere screaming, I nearly turned around and walked back out.
No particular volcano eruption plan here, it goes off every 50 years give or take a year. It last erupted about 10 years ago, we could smell the gas in my home town 2 hours away.
just quickly girls, sorry for selfish posts lately!
my nipples are still really sore but i'm perservering, i think they're just not used to his small mouth.
i'm really stressing and anxious about mil coming here tomorrow, haven't spoken to her at all since big fight in october. i need you guys to give me some strength...how do i act towards her? what should i do????
Rainy, just be polite to her like you would someone you need to feel "formal" around - the bank manager, the headmaster, the queen, etc. LOL And make whatever excuses you need to when you need to step out for a moment - nap, feeds, etc - plenty of excuses when there's a baby on board! You will be fine. If you don't expect her to be on her best behaviour it won't matter so much when she's not, kwim?
Hi girls!
SupaB: well the leander doesn't have the drop down sides either...bit of a bummer, but i guess i have avoided the back breaking stage with her being that bit older...(she says hopefully LOL!).
WTG on the texting BTW!! man,i dont even have a mobile!!
Rainy: oweee sweets. i guess it also has to do with the fact that they are getting a mega workout again and it takes some time for them to get used to it...if i can remember...and also let's face it, newborns have mega-hoover sucking action LOL!
hhmmm, no real words of insight on the MIL front. except to try to keep the high road, except no crap (make that clear in a nice and firm way...ie nip any smart comments in the butt) and have a safe place to retreat to if need be (ie b/f in the bedroom and a nap...).
MD: no, true i couldnt be a FDC lady either. like arte i see a pack of crazy kids and i go crazy and feel this urge to run away screaming. i guess that is my first clue. :D
yeah not sure about the leg, still hurts but have invested in my 'miracle' cure of lavender oil so i'll see if it helps this time. i am so over pills though...atm i am taking around 11 a day. i sooooo need a day spa!
oooh! any exciting ebay purchases????? i havent gone down the ebay path (yet), i am more of an 'etsy' girl ATM...dangerous territory dangerous....
Arte: hopefully any emergency volcano plans do not revolve around the duck and cover strategy...heard it aint that great lol! how much warning do you get though??
WTG on the monitor!!! wish that happened with the cot. as it stands i only got $150 knocked off the price. pffft.
AFM: well our leander cot arrived today!!!! oh those danes do make nice stuff! LOL! but i have to say that it was sad putting away the damaged cot that leila has used for so long. as it is i havent let DH put it on the kerb just yet. i think i need a couple of days to mourn its end (this is the cot that has been in the family for 26 odd years and has grown many of us). of course it had to break on my watch LOL!
leila thinks the new cot is awesome though. she *helped* me build it.
Rainy def first thing is to panic. Lol. Well I would act as if nothing happened. But then I am prolly not the one 2 b taking advice from. Depends if u r a confronter or a dont-rock-the-boat person. Hopefully she will apologise and feel bad. Hee?
Rainy, I was going to say what MD said. I would just act normal and polite and hope she makes an effort. And make sure you get some time alone if she is getting on your nerves, like the others have said a newborn is the perfect reason to hide away in your room for a bit. You could make her feel included and helpful by asking her to do a bit of stuff around the house or watching Lewis maybe? Good luck, we are here if you need to vent.
Clare, I was going to ask if someone could send you a text to see if you were alright when you didn't post after your suspected leg clot, then I remembered that you were one of the seven people left in the world that don't have a cell phone lol. Have you tried rubbing Arnica oil onto your leg? I hope we get some sort of warning if the volcano is gonna blow!! We don't have T.V, but I guess we would figure it out when a burst of lava fills the sky lol.
Cally, where are you? Hope everything is alright.
I finally got around to calling my father the other night to tell him I am pregnant. I haven't told any of the ladies at W's activities, I thought I might conduct a social experiment and wait until someone was brave enough to ask me if I am preg or packing on weight lol 14 weeks already, it is going so fast.
thanks for your support ladies xoxo
arte- i can't believe you're 14wks already!!

eta- lewis is a fatty! size2 and 13kgs
Oh my so much to catch up on.
Rainy did you get your new bra's? My pj's dont fit (will swap them) but I lurve the bras. L hated the hammock and I sold it on ebay after only a few weeks.

Just wanted to say hugs to everyone and I'm thinking of you all.
Sarah is still not well. Shes got a throat and ear infection still as well as a wicked cough at the moment. So no sleep and very whingy and clingy. Poor monkey.
Congrats again to Rainy

MD:
gr8 news hun!
Jack is heading to size 2's!. Jumpsuits & bodysuits have been 2's for some time now. I think I got away with ones cos it was summer & it was shorts but when you put pants on him, 1's don't cut it, same as long sleeve T's.
How does Miss E go at kindergym? I have been thinking about it for the boys.
Good luck with your FDC hun.
Trill:
Alex has the same reaction to too many grapes & I think mandarins. Have you tried to change his fruit? Alex loves banana's, tomato's, grapes, mandarins & pears. Trying to get him to eat something else, good luck!
Go girl! Good luck with getting the new lappie!!
Leanne:
J is like Livi. I've put his booster seat & harness on layby already as his head is almost to the top of his carseat.
Fal:
You are very strong willed not to say anything to that lady in Myers.
Rainy:
how you feeling hunny??
 thinking of you today & hoping that all goes well with the IL's.
clare:
 hope you start to feel better soon hunny.
OMG on L's destruction! I took the drop side of Jacks cot, got one of those anti roll out bumper things & have a new toddler bed. Tho he's been sleepin in the porta cot!
AFU:
J had a horrid nite last nite, he was screaming in his sleep so i got him out & nursed him then put him on the sofa lounge that is in the blow up racing car ball pit but was very still restless. He was awake by the time I was ready to go to bed at 10.30. he was laying in my bed & then he started throwing up. After he did that a few times i put him in his cot & he drifted off to sleep.
The nite b4, wasn't as horrid but still bad, nite b4 was good but the nite b4 that was another bad nite. o but yst & the day b4 A was up at 5 !
& its overcast today with rain predictions for the weeks ahead with more flood predictions! so glad we got a beach day in yst!!!!!
 i've even been thinking of moving out to the coast cause i love taking the boys so much! & it has a public pool too so that wld covered!
off to find something to do with A ... bbl :D
Oh Noni!!!! Congrats on your little BLUE bundle!!!!!!!!! Great to hear that the scan went well and everything is where it should be. Have you brought any blue things yet?
G, definately take the high road with her, but if she does start making nasty comments, I would politely ask her if she thinks it is appropriate to be a guest in someone elses house and then do nothing but insult them. Soon you will have the hang of BF Jimmy, he will get bigger and more efficient with what he's going and it will pass.
Andie, I hope he's not coming down with anything.
Kate, oh no at Sarah still not being well. It must be really taking it out of all of you
Arte, LOL at you not telling them. They are probably going to take a while longer yet even if they have twigged because they won't be game to say anything JIC you're not ROFL! I didn't tell my Dad till I was well past that stage either. Just wasn't high on my to-do list.
OUCH Ozstar at the UTI! Glad you got that sorted and you're feeling better.
Clare, ikwym about the cot. The one we have always used is an old Steelcraft one that is all metal framing and the panels at each end and it was MIL's that she used for all her kids. But I can't see it wearing out anytime soon though. As a joke we offered it to DH's brother and his wife to use with their first baby, cause Paige was nearly out of it by then and you'd think we'd asked her to cut off her arm, she just looked horrified at the thought of using something so old, but she's a bit precious about that sort of thing
Not much going on here today. Have baked a date cake which smells divine and I have a heap of washing to fold and iron later too.
Ah, finally!!
Have had a very busy couple of weeks and once I've had just a couple of days away from BB, the posts just seem too mountainous to attempt (you're all so chatty) so I've had a good sit down yesterday and today and think I am up to date!!
So much has happened:
Rainy - many congratulations on little Jimmy, are there going to be any photos up soon? Thinking of you today with MIL visiting, hope it's going OK.
MD - big hugs to you, glad that the scan went well. Fingers crossed the FDC hunt ends soon and you can get a bit more MD time.
Clare - glad it isn't a clot, hope all those tablets get your iron levels up soon, your leg gets better and someone (even if it is just MD and Arte!) takes those pesky tonsils out!!
Ange - glad you've moved into your new place and that you had so many friends to help out. Hope L has settled in there well and it is all ready for your new little bundle whenever it decides to arrive!!
MM - hope you had a wonderful day yesterday and a lovely honeymoom. I'm sure M will have a ball with the IL's, try not to worry about her too much!
Andie - Happy Birthday for yesterday!!
Noni - congratulations on your little blue bubble! You and DH must be thrilled. Hope the planning goes well this week and have fun with your bestie in town.
Kate - hope Sarah gets better soon.
SupaB - I am also very impressed with your super texting ability!! Must be nice being in your last TAFE semester.
Trill - will have to go on a search for the yogurt tubes. DH is doing all the shopping lately but I'm not sure I can leave it up to him!
Hello to anyone else out there!
AFU: K is alternating between absolutely gorgeous and a little terror! She closed herself inside yesterday while I was hanging out the washing and decided to crayon the walls - when she heard me open the door she giggled and drew faster!! Still no words, but getting even better at communicating. Obsessed with taking our shoes off when we get inside after being out, also wants to take the rest of our clothes off too! The last week she has had a few unsettled nights, nothing bad, just makes those noises that wake us up and just a quick resettle, not sure what it could be, all the molars are through, can't see any sign of eyeteeth. She is onto one day sleep, but could still do with more sleep, only tends to sleep for 1.5 hours and we do tend to have a lot of whinging which is very grating. She isn't happy when she doesn't get her own way.
Clare - I am glad L only has size 4 feet. That is the same as K, hers looks so small compared to other kids her age. No idea what weight she is, a bit under 11kg maybe? I bought her some Cotton On kids pjs (size 1-2) and the pants only just reach her ankles. Not impressed, she's pretty average size, I really didn't think she needed size 3!
Anyone else still bfeeding? We can go days without it, I don't mind it, except in the mornings she is very grumpy if I get her up and she doesn't get it straight away. If DH gets her up she isn't interested and is much happier. Not sure what to do about it.
Might be early lunch today and early naps, she is yawning away while DH is reading to her. He's ready for a nap too, so I might get some quiet TV time!!
Oh, almost forgot - Clare and Arte, I went out and bought the first Twilight book yesterday after all your comments about it! Haven't started it yet, almost not brave to until I have the whole series and can just move straight on to the next one!!
Noni - Woohoo for BLUE!!! :confetti: That's pretty exciting hun! :) Wow you are going to be on a high all week now until Friday!! I will be thinking of you all week :D!
Andi hun I don't know how you do it - I think you are an amazing woman bringing up your 2 boys with so much love and attention all by yourself!! I hope the sleep improves, i know how crazy making it can be when you're up and down like a yoyo all night - with no backup person.
Kindergym has been fantastic - it hasn't changed one bit since I was taking DD1 10 years ago LOL. E is still too young to join in with the group activity (runs around a lot with me chasing her instead LOL) but she will get it in a few months I think.
G2G - my sunday brunch is ready - mmmmmyum!
ETA - OMG Didn't realise it was Andie's birthday - happy happy day for you hun, I hope this year brings lots of happy surprises for you (and maybe a move if that's what you want ;))!
Cally good to hear from you hun. You've obviously been very busy! LOL at K just drawing faster - E gets that look in her eyes sometimes too now (usually followed by some ear-bleedingly loud squealing LOL).
BTW I'm confused - I thought "take the high road" means that you leave. I thought the correct saying was "take the middle path" meaning the place of balance in the middle...? So yeah. ??
OMG Andie!!! happy Birthday hun!!!!!
well i think i took the high road, or the middle road...or whatever road! lol
anyway...it was all ok. she was on her best behaviour, i think a few people must've worded her up iykwim???
noni- congrats on your boy! you must be stoked :)
andie-happy birthday honey
katie-what size were your pjs? were they too big or too small? mine haven't come yet. i wish i knew you had a hammock and it was no good, i had no idea. what a waste of money.
jimmy has been sleeping semi-reclined in lewis' armcchair all day. he hates sleeping flat on his back in the bassinette. do you think i could put him in the armchair at night or is it bad for sids etc.? he just seems so much happier in it.
