Noni, W is a fantastic name, no probs here if you want to use it. It sounds good with Asha too. I don't feel particularly pregnant either, I am 18 weeks now but apart from some prodding I would completely forget!
Trill, Clare doesn't have a mobile, we will have to wait for a post I guess. Hope she is doing well, I guess it can't be worse than what she was going through with them in. I got W one of the smallest sized plain eggs. He hasn't really had much chocolate before so it should be interesting! Do you get cadbury chocolate? There is a lady at mothers group who can't feed her girl cadbury because it gives her bad nappies. Do you have Whittikers over there? That apparently doesn't have the same effect. Or other more expensive chocolate. OMG I feel bad badmouthing cadbury!
Oz, sounds like you had a great weekend. I wish DH and I could have an evening out, I would love to eat dinner uninterrupted for once but we don't have anyone that can babysit and W won't go to sleep without me still so we are trapped.
JaZaH, sorry to hear your Grandma isn't doing too well. It is so hard. My nana seemed to be enjoying the rest home after she settled in but she is in hospital again at the moment. Mum and my aunt went to visit her at the home (she is actually their nana and my great-nana), she didn't recognise them and then talked about them like it wasn't them she was talking to iykwim? But then mum went to visit her a few days later and she was in good spirits, I think it would be relaxing for her to have people looking after her instead of all the moochers and beggers who were always at her house. One of her daughters is a waste of space P addict, as are her kids, and they are always there stealing food/stealing things to sell/begging for money. That selfish B is walking around with a permanent smile because she thinks nana is going to pass away soon and that she will get the house. LMAO, Nana gets the last laugh there - she told me a few years ago she had written that daughter out of the will!
Leanne, that is terrible about your friends DH. That is my worst nightmare, having my kids grow up without their father. How are you cousins kids doing now?
Not doing anything for easter here, BIL is coming and he and DH are going out fishing one day, but the rest is free. I really want to get the rest of the living area painted before my belly gets too big.
OMG at all these daredevil kids! W is so reserved, he won't even jump off the couch!
-
Haha Trill I could talk about baby names allllll day long. When we named M in my mind I thought it was a bit of a modern name, but I've since had alot of comments about it being older than I thought lol. Doesnt bother me of course, because I've always been a fan of the name & would have used it regardless. I did also consider Evelyn - images of the elegant Evelyn from the movie Pearl Harbour!! As for the next child, most of my names seem to be a bit more modern, but I guess I have plenty of time to think about it!! Beryl & Cheryl....hmmmm not a fan at all lol.
Noni - I LOVE the name William, and I love it when it gets shortened to Will as well. I think names like that are ideal because they can use William at work, in more formal settings (yes thinking ahead here!), while with friends & family you can 'casual up' - (for want of a better word) the name a bit to Will lol....iykwim!? We wont bother with anything for DH & myself either Noni, we just eat it all lol.
We are off for 18 mth shots today & possibly the flu shot as well..... :(
-
Jaz surprisingly I hardly thought about L while we were at the wedding. DH rang mum a couple of times but it wasn't till 9pm that I thought I should check in with her lol.
Andie take care of yourself hun, you know we are all here for you so lean on us when you need to.
Kate S sounds a lot like L, glad I am not the only one with a defiant child lol.
MM Lol at you drinking to much, I would have been the same if I wasnt pg.
Noni OMG only 16 weeks to go, wow thats gone fast.
Trill photos are now on FB. I hope E's ear clears up. No plans for easter here, I am off to buy BIL girlfriend an Easter present from him tomorrow so might get L and DH something little.
Arte we only have a babysitter when we go to Sydney, we were hoping to get BIL to start looking after L a little so we could get out will have to wait and see now.
Well BIL got his back brace last night, woo hooo. Hopefully they have him on his feet today and providing all goes well and bones start fusing over the next few days he will be home soon. L's big bed arrives today along with some other things we bought yesterday. I
-
Eeep asha just tried to get my can of coke off the side table and was saying "sip sip sippy" lol I don't even wanna think about what shed be like if she managed to drink coke!!
Katie- glad to hear bil is doing well!! I feel like 16wks is ages to go but im sure ill be holding him before I know it :)
Mm- goodluck with the needles! Yeh we love the name I really like billy as a nickname too.
Arte- thanx for ur support on the name :) wow I didn't realise u were 18wks already! Lovin posting on my phone.. by for now :)
-
Yep Arte, it's Cadbury all the way here with the occasional Lindt thrown in for good measure. I actually only got him Lindt today because they had a nice little tube of solid eggs, plus a gold bunny.
Oz, great to hear that he has his brace now. Off for a lookie at the pics shortly....
OH, he didn't have a sleep AT ALL yesterday - he hit his wall, climbed over it and bloody well took off again PMSL. But mind you, he slept right through from 7 till 6am without ONE SINGLE WAKEUP!!! But I am really not keen on sacrificing the day sleeps yet - he's just too feral without one.
Jaz, I missed that part of you post sorry  It's so hard to see them like that. I'm glad that my kids didn't get to see my Nan when she got a bit like that when she was end-stage. I never met DH's grandmother for that reason either. He couldn't see the point when she wouldn't remember me anyway, but oddly enough she knew he was getting married. She passed away well before our wedding though.
-
Hi ladies
Well I've txtd our tonsil-less friend just to say we're all thinking of her. I'm sure she'll be back on in a flash when she is feeling a little better.
Kate - I hear you about the tanties, although E is a lot less furious and more distractable when she has hers than DD1 was! (...for now anyway LOL). WTG on the under-5s disco. Man I wish we had one of those...I'd be the uncool mummy dancing along in the middle of the toddler mosh.
Trill - oh I'm so in denial when I hear about our bubbas refusing afternoon sleeps. OMG I so couldn't cope with that!! WTG on your choccy shopping, we've pretty much got cadbury and lindt as well (got the little carrots for my sister because she's vegetarian haha) but I suspect the bunny might've been shopping at Haighs (fingies crossed).
Andi, I'm so sorry to hear you have been having such a hard time...hang in there with the anti-d's, they take a little while to stabilise everything. Keep going back to your GP if you're not feeling any better tho. We're here whenever you need a cyber hug!
JaZaH - R your girls all doing easter bonnets this year? I bet you've done a few eastery craft projects, am I right?
Noni, that's so cool you've worked out how to post on your phone...I'm sure we'll hear from you a lot more now! OMG yes keep the coke away from Asha...that's crazy-making stuff! LOL
Katie, what sort of big bed did you get for L?
Arte - good luck with your painting...I think we'll be doing gardening here. Want to get some silverbeet and beetroot and things growing while the weather is still warm enough. I think W doesn't jump off the couch because he's too busy talking about it in detail...?? LOL
AFM - went to see my guru-healer man for some healing today, did some good work. I have the needle biopsy tomorrow and my first ever mammogram (I'm told it's like having your boob squeezed into a fridge door) so that'll be a fun morning. Dh is coming with me tho so we'll have a nice coffee afterwards than it's off to Kindergym which will be exciting cos the EB is coming!!!!!!!!!!!!! Which reminds me I haven't put my bunny-near-the-lettuces photos up.
-
Hi girls,
just a quick post to let you know that the op went well! the surgeon told me that they couldnt believe the extent of damage and infection once they opened me up, so took a bit longer than usual.
the GA was GREAT! LOL! although i spent the whole time dreaming of changing dirty nappies LOL! the specialist told me i need a better hobby...
on a whole whack of drugs, mostly pain relievers. and as a result i feel very nauseous and dizzy so no doubt i wont be on much in the coming days.
other crapola news is that the night i was in hospital my other cat got really sick and is currently at the animal hospital where already teh vet bill has just tipped over the $1000. and the poor thing is just so unwell, it's heartbreaking. they think he will make a full recovery though which makes it all worth it.
i had a quick read through the posts, but am too over the place ATM to fully focus, just wanted to send a big hug to Andie xx (if you want to find a place to chat on here i recommend the private forums for depression and PND, the ppl there are lovely!).
and to JaZ, i am sorry that your grandma is not in the best way. it is really really hard to see, especially when you remember them in their prime. sending big hugs to you too xx.
-
oh MD....i have lost my mobile phone LOL! so unfortunately i wont be able to get any texts! hmmm i should really buy a real mobile phone....L
-
HOW ARE YOU Clare??????
OK, feeling like a nuffer now, just read back and you have already told us! Rest up sweets! and SEE you silly surgeon, we TOLD you it needed to be done!!
-
MD my love, this is just for you;
For years and years they told me,
Be careful of your breasts.
Don't ever squeeze or bruise them.
And give them monthly tests.
So I heeded all their warnings,
And protected them by law.
Guarded them very carefully,
And I always wore my bra.
After 30 years of astute care,
My gyno, Dr Pruitt,
Said I should get a Mammogram
"OK," I said, "let's do it."
"Stand up here real close" she said,
(She got my boob in line),
"And tell me when it hurts," she said,
"Ah yes! Right there, that's fine."
She stepped upon a pedal,
I could not believe my eyes!
A plastic plate came slamming down,
My hooters in a vise!
My skin was stretched and mangled,
From underneath my chin.
My poor boob was being squashed,
To Swedish Pancake thin.
Excruciating pain I felt,
Within it's viselike grip.
A prisoner in this vicious thing,
My poor defenseless tit!
"Take a deep breath," she said to me,
Who does she think she's kidding?!?
My chest is mashed in her machine,
And woozy I am getting.
"There, that's good," I heard her say,
(The room was slowly swaying.)
"Now, let's have a go at the other one."
Have mercy, I was praying.
It squeezed me from both up and down,
It squeezed me from both sides.
I'll bet SHE'S never had this done,
To HER tender little hides.
Next time that they make me do this,
I will request a blindfold
I have no wish to see again,
My knockers getting steam rolled.
If I had no problem when I came in,
I surely have one now.
If there had been a cyst in there,
It would have gone "ker-pow!"
This machine was created by a man,
Of this, I have no doubt.
I'd like to stick his balls in there,
And, see how THEY come out!
-
Trill PMSL thats classic.
Clare glad everything went well. Your poor cat though, hope your both recover quickly.
MD good luck tomorrow. My mum reckons her mammogram was worse on my dad then her lol.
-
Hey Andie - hugs darl, pm me on here or fb if you wanna chat. I've had my drug of choice changed in the last few months and feel heaps better for it. As for the facebook thing, Arte will have to invite you now so are you friends with her?
Noni - love the name William too...Rory isn't much of a fan but so not on any of our joint lists for the future.
Trill - I can only wish that I could you pg brain as an excuse. How long can we claim it for once the kid is out? I'm thinking 18+ years atm ;) As for easter eggs, the EB got her two small kinder bunnies, a couple of small cadbury mini ones and I brought a stash of cadbury hunting eggs if we do a hunt with her cousins out at Emerald. EB even brought Sarah a toothbrush, its going to be a tradition to get a new one each year. Cadbury is the only chocolate that is allowed in this house. My dad has it in his head that I love Red Tulip but NO NO NO...gotta be Cadbury! hehe. Although I am sneaking in the Kinder ones because they do seem a little more kiddie friendly with the milk layer inside.
Katie - good luck to your bil...i hope it all goes to plan and he gets on his feet soon
MD - What do you mean 'uncool' dancing at the disco?! All the cool mums groove out to wiggles and hi 5 there. And here is a virtual high five for the comment about William talking too much about the couch to bother jumping from it. Trust me I'd much rather a talker than a doer. Less stress I think. ;) Good luck with your appts tomorrow! Will be thinking of you and your squashed bbs
Wow Clare on the messy tonsils. Did you tell them I told you so? Good to hear that you have finally got them out although I am worried about your dreams tho. You get enough dirty nappies IRL you don't need them while dreaming as well. Hope your cat is well soon.
Hi to everyone else and if I don't see any of you before Easter than I wish all the yumminess of the season without any calories to cause guilt afterwards.
-
girls just remind me, when does the windyness stop? j is driving me insane
sorry 1 finger typing atm
noni- my fave boys name atm is spencer
xoxo
-
Rainy LMAO you really do love the Hills dont you.
Sorry no idea about the wind issues.
-
MD, good luck for the biopsy and mammogram tomorrow. I will be thinking of you. Maybe you are right about W being too busy blabbing to actually do anything.... all day I hear a running commentry on what he is doing - 'biccie down, shoe on, biccie back....' it never stops! Good luck getting some garden in. It is far too cold here already for that. There have been heaps of frosts and when it is windy it is absolutely freezing thanks to an ice wind that blows off the mountain. I handled it better last year, this time I am freezing!
Clare, so glad the op went well. Rest up and feel better soon.
Sorry to keep going on about it, but W's talking is freaking me out! Is it normal for them to learn to talk so quickly? 3 months ago he had about a dozen words. Now he is talking in proper sentences ie tonight when he was feeding the dog: 'dog biccies. William carry. William put it down here'. More and more often he is using the little joiner words. Sometimes I watch his little sleeping face because it is the only time there is a glimmer of baby still left in him. I am glad there is another bub on the way because he is growing up waaay to quickly.
-
lol yes, i am obsessed with the hills. about to watch an episode now. do you watch it katie?
arte- will competely freaks me out. all L says is cat...and not usually when he is actually looking at a cat....
jimmy's hair freaks me out
-
Clare - Well I'm not suprised that your tonsils were so ridden with infection, thank goodness they are finally out. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
MD - Good luck for tomorrow!!!
Trill - LOL good poem! I know what you mean about them skipping a day sleep but sleeping all night. The full nights sleep is bliss, but arvo's spent with a feral child is so not worth it. I'd rather get up at night lol.
Oz - Love L's new bedroom set up, wow a big boy now! I lost it laughing this morning at L's dancing skills, he is so groovy! He looked so pleased with himself as well lol, laughing now just remembering it!
Arte - I am so in awe of W's language skills, I would definately say he is above the average expected level for this age? Its awesome. You read alot to him dont you? He is incredibly smart I know he will be a doctor or something equally as intelligent one day. I smiled at you watching his sleeping face, I do the same, its the only time that they are still enough for us mums to look at their beautiful faces & try to remember them as bubs.
Rainy - M's cousin is Spencer, gorgeous name. Have you tried laying J on his back and moving his legs? I cant remember much even though it wasnt too long ago!
Noni - Billy as a nickname is nice!
Kate - Just eat the choccy & ignore the guilty thoughts lol.
Took M for her needles today, and she didnt even cry.
-
Rainy- I don't remember when the wind stops.. Remember it sucks tho! Ash seemed to get hers out best when we layed her over our knees and patted her on the back. Sometimes with her legs curled under would add extra pressure n force it out.. Spencer is a really cool name!!
Arte- I don't think ws talking is anything to be freaked out about he just sounds like a very bright and bubbly little boy :)
Katie- im with u on the cadbury chocolate!! I get dissapointed when people don't remember coz I don't really like the other brands!!
Trill- ur a crack up
Md- goodluck for tmw!! And yep it certainly does mean I will be on here more haha im always laying around on my phone on fb and msn messenger so now I can finally come on bb too hehe yay!!
Sweet dreams all
-
MMMMM cadbury's I only eat the good stuff too ;)
Rainy nope I am not a Hills fan, dont ask me how I knew Spencer was from the Hills I think I read something about him and Heidi getting married.
MM I am glad you got a giggle out of L's dancing. I keep telling my sisters how much he dances and finally got it on video. We need to get M and L together for a boogie.
-
They would have a ball wouldnt they? Pity we are on opposite sides of the country! :(
-
morning girls, well my friend and i are having a mobile hairdresser come to her house today to do our hair! she has a dd born 30th sep 07, so one of us will look after the kids while the other is getting their hair done. i'm so excited, i haven't been to the hairdresser for 11 months!! can you believe it??
have a lovely day ladies xoxox
noni- i think you should add spencer to your names list, i love it!
-
Rainy, I agree, LOVE Spencer. Though it does make me think of Spencer thingy who takes the photos of hundreds of nude ppl at famous landmarks (MD's secret confession - always wanted to be in one of his pics ;))! LOL ENJOY your hair moments today!!!
LMAO Trill. I will be thinking of the man who designed the machine and having a chuckle while it's all happening.
Kate well obviously I need to come and spend some time with your mumma's group cos no one here's got any groove at all - LOL!
Arte - it's exhausting having the constant chatter. DD1 was like that BUT without the word skills - it was just this tide of noise - that she expected me to listen to - all day long!! I used to call her Little Talking Bird. Missy E on the other hand has only just learned to say "mummy" when she actually wants my attention. It's been 18 months of comparitive peace and quiet here!
OK< gotta go get my boob slammed in a fridge door. LOL
-
Morning everyone,
Does anyone know what the noise laws are? I was sure u couldn't start construction type noise till 8? Or is that just on the weekends? Was so annoyed when Asha was starting to fall asleep again and the people across the street started making a whole lot of noise grr!!
Did I tell u guys about my council clean up dramas? Can't remember.. Quickly what happened was the lounge was out the front and the rest of the stuff under the car port and the council came and took the lounge on the 6th when I was sure the clean up was booked for the 9th.. Figured it was just preg brain until yesterday next door put some stuff out and I thought beauty I didn't miss it they just took the lounge early for some reason.. Then when we looked out there this morning our stuff is gone and next doors isn't and im sooo confused haha!!
Md- hope everything goes well today!
Rainy- enjoy ur day. What a great idea getting a mobilee hairdressor to come round!
Katie- Ashas a real little dancer too lol she cracks us up dancing along to commercials and everything haha..
Have a nice day lovelies XXX
-
Noni, I think they have different people come around and collect different types of things, like some people do old whiteware, someone else gets old iron etc. Not sure but when they did it in our area it disappeared in dribs and drabs.
Rainy, yay for the haircut!
Can you guys help come up with a name for my new bub? We have no ideas. Last time DH only wanted William and veto'd everything else. We have nothing at all for a boy and middle names for a girl (family names, Hazel Rose) so the first name would have to be quite short. I have had a couple of girl dreams, but I won't put too much stock in that since I dreamed that W was a skeleton cat and that didn't really pan out.
I just realised this morning that I don't have to wear maternity bras anymore! I might go dig out my old bras and see if they fit.
-
Afternoon everyone
Noni - sometimes people just take your stuff when it is left out the front before the council gets to it. Maybe your stuff was better than the neighbours!!
Arte - I would love to not wear maternity bras anymore. These ones are getting so old and dodgy and I am OVER THEM!!
MD - good luck today, hope it went well
Trill - love the poem, might show my mum
Clare - glad you're feeling a bit better, what a bummer dreaming about pooey nappies when you could have been dreaming about so many better things!!
Rainy - have fun with your hairdresser, that sounds great!
DH is a bit of a mess at the moment - they got infected by a worm and work and lost all the computers. He was awake for 40 hours, spent an entire night at school trying to get them going again!! He was so out of it last night, he couldn't walk straight and was coming out with such funny comments! We have a function on tonight and he is going to try and fit in a 2 hour nap before we go out so he can at least talk properly to people.
DD is good, constantly on the move. She is having a ball with Granny and Grandpa visiting. She sleeps so much better for them than she does for us. Yesterday had 2 x 1 hour sleeps, did a 2 hour sleep with Nan on Monday - if I look after her I get 1 x 45 minutes!!
So looking forward to the weekend - 5 days off!!
-
LMAO Cally, I had to re-read that - I thought your DH had been infected by a worm! Sounds like you really need the long weekend.
-
Lmao arte that's what I thought too when I first read it!!
Cally- lol our stuff was crap broken toys and stuff haha meh who cares as long as its gone hehe
-
-
Where is everyone today? I hope you are all off having a great easter.
MD, how did it go yesterday? Hope the biopsy wasn't painful (or that they gave you some good drugs if it was)
Clare, hope you are on the mend and feeling better
MM, did you get the paypal thing sorted in the end?
Nothing happening here, did a bit more painting in the lounge. DH gets all antsy if he has to exclusively look after W and can't do the jobs that he want's to get done, then he starts grumping at me about how little housework I do etc. He has started calling me 'gunna' because apparently I was gunna do this and that but always have an excuse. How much housework to the other SAHM's do during the day? Am I the only one that hasn't had a single baby free dinner let alone a whole night out since W was born? I went horse riding for a couple of hours when he was 8 months old, that is the only fun thing I have done for me for a year and a half. DH goes deer hunting/tramping/fishing whenever it suits, usually something every couple of weekends but it isn't worth me going out at all because I can't be bothered listening to him running me down about how crap I am when I get home. That turned into a rant, sorry.
-
Arte, I'm here - only for a quick pop in tho...it's been a busy but nice day.
I don't get a lot of housework done during the day, I save it for evenings or weekends when DH is home and can lend a hand/H can distract E for me. Although Arte I have noticed that DH is quite happy to just go off and start whatever he wants to do without consulting with me over the course of the weekend which is annoying because it's like he sets the agenda without me. But he's also happy to mind E if I make other plans to get out by myself. Sorry but I think your DH is out of line, especially when he is getting "me-time" but you are not. Tell him if he's unhappy with the standard of housekeeping he can either muck in himself or pay for a cleaner, cos you're busy raising your gorgeous child AND you're only going to be spread thinner when number 2 arrives. And you could offer to *really* do nothing for a week and see what state the house is in then. I think you are a wonderful mumma and I have no doubt you do more than enough by yourself.
Hoping everyone is enjoying this gorgeous weekend and making the most of extra family time (and freely available chocolate LOL). :D
-
arte- i feel your pain hun, i get no 'me-time' either. i have to go to the playcentre to get a cappacino these days, that or maccas drive-thru lol...and believe me, it gets a lot worse when #2 comes along, cos dh can use the whole 'he wants boob' excuse iykwim? it's very hard...re: housework, i usually pack the dishwasher, wash any extra dishes and do the washing during the day..plus a general pick up, tidy up. the rest of the stuff we do together i guess...dh gives the place a sweep every second day or so?
md- have you had any haighs yet?
-
MD how did the biopsy go?
Arte you poor love I think your DH needs a kick in the bum and soon. Its not fair that he has his time but you havn't had any "Arte time", I dont know how you do it. My DH is pretty helpful around the house and with L. Sometimes he needs a bit of yelling at to actually get off his bum and help me out but he always does it and never complains (he wouldnt dare lol). He has never complained about the state of the house or things not being done ( I would have his you know whats on a plate if he did) Things are only going to be harder once bub number 2 is here so perhaps you need to have a good talk to him about how your feeling.
-
Thanks for asking re biopsy ladies. Um ...'unpleasant' would be the word of choice BUT on the bright side I'm a step closer to having *actual* information (instead of all my worst fears running around my head) so a good thing I suppose.
Rainy - I've been on a Haighs fast so I can enjoy gorging myself on Sunday :p!
-
Arte, I agree, you need to put your foot down now before your second bub comes along. No offense but your DH is being so unfair, it sounds as if he doesnt seem to understand at all. Him getting free time & you getting none is so not on. If he can even do small things around the house etc, it helps out a huge amount. My DH is terrible when it comes to nappy changes but he does the dishes etc when needed, bath time, takes her out when he gets the paper on the weekends so I get 15 mins to myself, takes her while I shower etc - the small things count.
MD - Ohhh you poor thing, didnt want to say before but my mum said they are horrible!!! I feel for you!! I cringed when I read that you had to have one
Cally - How is your DH now? Has he managed to sleep and get back to normal!?
Rainy - The hairdresser must have been bliss!
We went for a day trip up the coast yesterday, had a good old time swimming at the beach all day & had a bbq lunch, even got some champagne. It was so good, & all my family was there.
Tonight we are off to a dinner with the in laws and BIL & SIL and their boy. Not looking forward to it at all, as its been 3 weeks after my blue with MIL & still we havent really spoken a word to one another - well I have tried. At the wedding last week, the in laws sat at a seperate table, I said hi & tried to make conversation, with no response from either. They both sat there and sooked all night, but we didnt, we had a ball on the dance floor. Then they conveniently went & said bye to DH while I was busy getting down on the dance floor! So its going to be soooo awkward to say the least tonight. :(
-
MM - good luck tonight, that sounds like it could be an 'interesting' dinner! Hope they speak to you. What does DH think of it all?
DH is back to normal. We are up in Canberra now so that is good, he can have a bit of a sleep in and nanna naps. Going to the movies tomorrow night which will be good. Last time was mothers day last year, who know before then!!
MD - glad it wasn't too bad. When do you get the news? Enjoy those Haighs tomorrow!!
Arte - I agree with the others. If DH gets alone time, you get to have some too. I think you just need to leave him with L all day and see how much he gets done - then hopefully he will stop nagging you about the state of the house!! At the moment DH and DD have gone out to visit one of his friends and have lunch while my sister and I went shopping. So far they've been gone 3 hours and I've done all my shopping and having some 'puter time!
Hope you all get some lovely eggs tomorrow. I have a Lindt bunny waiting for me in the cupboard.....
-
HI GIRLS!!!!!!!!
How is everyone?? Ive missed you all so much :)
Did anyone find out what happened to LP?? I was wondering about her the other day.
Hayley - What happened with your IL's??? Do tell!!! But yes arguing with your IL's is hard and vry awkward. I just had my friend over and she is going through the same thing :(
Noni & Art - How is pregnancy going?? Art are you going to find out the sex?? Noni I love the name Spencer xx
Rainy - Jimmy is just adorable!!!! I cant believe all his hair! Lewis is so light and Jimmy is so dark. They are just beautiful. How are they getting along??
MD - How are the girls?? Is your DH still working away? Im so sorry to hear you have been facing the unknown. I had a biopsy and lump removed quiet a few years ago now, the waiting is the worst part. Your a strong woman xx thinking of you
sorry to everyone I have missed, I hope you are all doing well. Please fill me in on what has been happening xxx
Dh is well, still working away on the 1 week on and 1 off roster. Rory is amazing. He is such a little parrot now haha. Over the past few weeks he has started saying 'go away' 'dont touch' 'there it is' 'Uncle Mark' 'Shane' 'Dipsy' (from Teletubbies). He can also point to and say belly, nose, eyes, and when he points to his feet he picks them up, smells them and says 'peeeewww' haha. And he has also picked up on the F word thanx to poppy so now when he sees a car he says 'oooooohhhh f@#$ whoaa car' charming! We are working on stomping that out haha
Looking at TTC in June/July - exciting stuff!!!
Hope you all have a fantastic easter xoxoxo

Well hello stranger! :nahnah: I was going to message you on FB then forgot all about it! my bad.... Anyway, it's great to see you pop in and say hello - work is busy no doubt. Rory sounds so cute - I bet he is Poppy's boy too by the sound of it ;) Wonderful news of the upcoming TTC too.
H, just smile and be polite as you can be to them and they can't find any fault in you. It's been their issue the whole time, not yours and from the last time the entire family knows that its not *you*. But I do hope it is the ice breaker you need to move on because family tension just isn't good for anyone.
Arte, you have to lay down the law about it now because the lightbulb wont switch on once baby no 2 is here either. If you don't tell them they don't bother to ask what they can do to help. I have a similar argument with my DH from time to time and I just tell him to get stuffed, there are more important things in life than having a showroom perfect house, like actually paying attention to the kids, and if he doesn't like it he can bugger off home to his Mother (who is an insane cleaner  ). But is is starting to realise just how hard it is to keep the house clean and doesn't realise that I may clean the loungeroom two or three times in a day, but still buy the time he gets home at night it's a bombshell again, so when he had a full day inside doing bookwork a while back he realised just how hard it can be sometimes so he's not as bad now.
Cally, glad you DH got his worm sorted out ;) Didn't exactly read too well did it ROFL! So how did it happen?
MD, plenty of chocolate around here - too much infact. We went to a community easter party on thurs night and all the kids there got a red tulip elegant rabbit from the easter bunny - one of the big ones!
So yeah, we had that on on thursday night and Alister freaked out bigtime with the rabbit ROFL. He was standing next to me and he went stiff as a board and started crying and holding onto my hand really tight. It was worse than with Santa because you couldn't see the person's face at all so it made them scarier kwim?
Yesterday we did nothing much, had prawns and fish and chips for lunch and that was about it. Today we made easter baskets to leave out tonight. I have a clothes line full of washing that is now dripping wet cause we had nearly an inch of rain - good thing too cause we switched over to the last tank of water this morning. So now Alister is having a tanty/sulk cause he wants to go out in the mud  it's quite funny cause now the screaming and crying bit is over he's laying there on the floor and occasionally points at the door and whimpers 'mud?' so you can just guess what he wants to go out and do.

Renee, good to see you! LP popped on a while ago and said that her partner had been in hospital, lost his job so they had moved to a smaller place and given the big girls back to their dad. She hasn't been back since though. Pregnancy is going well, not much morning sickness so it is much better than last time. Yay for TTC, not far away now!
MM, hope it isn't too bad with the IL's. Just act normal, it is her problem not yours.
I don't mean to give the wrong impression about DH, he is a great dad and looks after W heaps. I think he feels a bit restricted by having a small kid though because he looks after W from when he gets home from work until W goes to bed so he thinks I am having 'me' time but I spend all that time making dinner, cleaning up after dinner, folding washing etc. He also doesn't understand that just because the house is messy when he gets home doesn't mean I haven't cleaned it during the day. I am just sick of him telling me that I won't be able to cope with two kids when I can't keep the house tidy with one. Trill, they must learn it from their mums, MIL keeps her house spotless. He has offered to get a housekeeper (actually it was housekeeper or him move out ultimatium), but I resist because it is only something for him to hold over me ie I am so useless that we had to get a cleaner in so the house isn't disgusting. If only he would realise that it would be so much more productive to help tidy up for 10 minutes rather than spending the time telling me how lazy/useless/stupid I am then the house would be tidy.

hi girls!
just a quickie from me to pass the time while DH is taking our cat back to the emergency vet....:wall:
MD: hope you are getting loads of cuddles post-biopsy...or at least are being run a nice lavender oil bath to soak the aches and pains.
Sherie: man, prawns and chips sounds so delish. i am jealous!
Cally: i hear ya sista. miss L always seems to behave so well for the grandparents too! then when it comes to me, it is all about the crying LOL!
Arte: hhmmm, not sure about names....i do like the classics though...we have a 4 year old down the road called george and his sister is lola...hmmm harvey is also a 5 year old down the road...hmmmm. names are sooo tricky!!!
bummer that your DH is still OTT on the housework standards! he cracked up a few months ago as well didnt he? probably a stress reaction me thinks. i so hear ya, that what they see when they come home is not what has been going on during the day. i am forever picking up, clearing, wiping, washing and all it seems to achieve is merely the status quo; yeah sure it doesnt get cleaner but it doesnt get dirtier either. frustrating as.
one thing we have loosely devised is a cleaning morning. so on saturdays we just go nuts with mopping, washing, vacuuming etc. and leila just has to grin and bear it while we both run around like cyclones getting the house decent. then after that we organise for the fun stuff. seriously, you need to have a little weekly ritual where you get to go out and do something just for you. doesnt need to be real spesh, but even just a good bunch of hours to veg out at the house doing whatever you please!
renee: great to hear from you again! man, it's been ages!
MM: good luck with tonight! soooo, busting it on the dance floor huh?! LOL! now we know where M gets it from LOL!
AFM: well things here have been awful. to put it simply LOL! our cat is desperately ill and we can't really afford to keep going with the vet bills so we are hoping for a miracle here people.
and for me, things are just crapulent. i appear to have an adverse reaction to the pain-relief. basically i found out today that it likes to interfere with my breathing and i tend to pass out. noice. so those little pills have been banned from the house so now i only have pan forte. urgh. i hate being sick and i think it is impacting on Leila as she has been really fretful around me and lashing out. DH has been really awesome trying to take her out all the time, but every time she sees me lying down she freaks out. but i am just too tired and dizzy to sit. urgh, sorry am ranting!
will try and pop on tomorrow where hopefully i am more rosy!

Aww Clare sending you loads of hugs babe  I hope you start feeling better and will pray for the miracle for your cat.
MM how did tonight go?? I hope it wasn't to awkward, the out-laws sound really childish.
Arte sometimes Dh's are such pains arent they, lucky they help create such beautiful little people ;)
Trillian A sounds like such a boy wanting to play in the mud, thats so cute.
Renee good to see you, how exciting TTC soon, GL with it I hope it doesnt take to long.
Cally I hope you had a good night at the movies, lucky you.
Very bored here this weekend lol. The weather has been really bad. We did get L's big boy room pretty much sorted, once he is sleeping in there (rather then just playing in the bed lol) we will move all his clothes in there. I am actually a little sad about him changing rooms and not sleeping in the cot anymore.
