Clare, I just saw your FB status! That is absolutely disgusting that she ran like that and I would be contacting either the police or the council (assuming they run the dog park?) because even though she ran, there will be a record of her dog biting your child because it will happen to someone elses child and if they report it too, the person will get totally reamed for it. I really hope that L isn't affected by it to the point where it makes her scared of dogs. My mum used to be a nurse years ago (oh the irony, considering her current situation ) and she got quite savagely bitten on the back of her ankle by a silky terrier and she was very lucky that it didn't damage the tendon. And a friend of mine when I was a kid had a chiuawa (sp?) and it would always snap at me when I would go there.

Jaz, how have things been with Miss J the past few days? E is going through a similar stage of just doing what e wants to do as well, which makes life very hard as she is even doing it with her homework ("oh, I didn't want to do it that way, so I am just going to do this instead") and it's driving me mental. Luckily she isn't taking money though, but kids I know who have done that do it because they were told no, they couldn't have xyz, so they took the money to get it themselves kwim? have you talked to her about and explained that even though it's only out of your purse, that it's stealing because she may not realise that and if she gets to the stage where she is doing it all the time, it becomes almost normal for her to do it and starts taking stuff from other people and that's where it gets bad for her. With the handstands while you chastise her for stuff, what works for me with Erin is sitting down with her and gently holding her shoulders so she can't move or turn away from me and calmly talk to her, otherwise she just gets a glazed look in her eye and tunes out to what I am saying.

MD, so roid rage hasn't exactly been conducive for you this time? How many more treatments do you have left now? And did you end up getting all your work done?

I hope Kate is alright, saw her FB status and she said she was sick.

PP, I hope the smooth sailing of the bedtime routine continues for you hun!

H, I read your other thread about M's behaviour and sometimes it can also be due to what they see at childcare as well. They see other kids doing that and successfully getting the toy they want, so they mimic that behaviour so they can get the toy that they want. it is absolutely not a reflection on you as a parent for what you do, or that you have to work and use cc, or a reflection on M, because it's not. Children are such amazing copycats at this age and they soak up everything they see like a little sponge, but they don't have the though processes yet to be able to understand that 'bullying' isn't the right way to get what you want

While on the subject of irony, how ironic would it be for a farmers son to have a condition that forbids him to eat cereal grain? I really hope it's not that, or anything for that matter. But we get the results on Monday so not too long to wait.

I did manage to have a solid 2hrs sleep though which was great - I feel refreshed now. So I will shortly race around doing a clean up before getting the kids from the IL's and heading to town to get the other two from school so the girls can have a dress fitting - it never ends! At some stage over the weekend I will have to go back and see Mum again too. She's very tired and weak so she will spend today resting with no visitors. Thank you for you support though it means more to me than you will ever know.
