Heya chicks.
Trill- Did you go for allergy testing today? Or did i just totally make that up..... high proabability.
Preg- That is great news that the shoes are helping. :D Lu loves bigger kids too, they fascinate her!
Clare- Did you see that toddler mauled by the pitbull on the news tonight. OMG, how horrific. I thought of you and hope you reported your incident. How's the mouth looking? better?
MM- Both girls have dinner about 6, then bath, then books then bed at 7pm every night. I need my down time in the evening. I love it when they are both in bed at 7 and i have a few hours to myself each night. Of course if we go out or have friends over it is all a bit flexible but that is a pretty standard night around here.
Cally- 800??? :o It would want to last. I think he needs a sponsor to fund the bats!
Well as updated on fb, H has been offered the job in PNG, went to Melb today to organise my passport (and get a haircut ;) ) Have to go back and pick it up on Wed then i think we'll head off on Sunday for a couple of nights to check it out. Once i have a passport, they will book our flights for us and let us know. Nervous, excited, all rolled into one.
Knackered after a big day of running around. Might hit the hay early.
-
Oh my god Sherie!! I hope your mum and Alister get better. Poor things. Have a good rest
-
wow Ange - what exciting news....!!!!!! so you will go check it out next week??? and then how soon will you move??? wow! I am v excited for you.
-
I think we'll go Sunday for 3 days. That's the rough plan anyway. The girls are coming, glad we got their passports already and the portable dvd player. ;) If he accepts the job it takes about 3 months to organise visas and the like, so we wont be moving for a little while. Which means we'll have 3 months to do a bit of visiting friends and holidaying. He has had the people from SA hassling him to come over there for a look too before he accepts the job, so we might do a road trip to SA and visit some friends on the way. He used to live on the SA/vis boarder so has lots of friends over there. We also have to go back to k1ng 1sland to visit his family at some stage. Lots to do in the next few months! i'm tired just typing it. lol

hi girls, just a quick one from me to say hi!
Sorry for being a bad bb'er lately. I have skimmed thru the posts but just don' t have the energy at the moment to post properly. You are all in my thoughts tho.
I'll try to pop back on tomorrow with a better post... sorry guys
-
omg i saw that little toddler on the news mauled by the dog, it was horrific, i can't get over it. the poor little girl...
we have had ducks on our deck this morning.
-
Ange how exciting. Sounds like your going to be very busy!!
G I havn't watched the news this morning and dont think I will now. How cute having ducks, L loves birds.
Kate hope all is well with you.
Cally gee $800 and a trip to Sydney for a cricket bat??? Somethings I will never understand lol.
Clare I had to laugh on FB at your computer catching fire. Glad is doing better.
PAP L loves the older kids too, especially the 5 year old next door. Sounds like things are going well for you.... thats great.
Bedtime here is 7.30pm, asleep by 8pm usually. Up in the mornings about 6.30/7am. Party on the weekend was great, very hot though. There were 3 other pregnant woman, 2 around the same as me and 1 half way through. never seen so many big bellies waddling around in the heat lol. I had better go and get L ready for FDC.

Morning all!
I had this weird dream last night where I was chatting to an old friend who kept congratulating me. I asked her what she meant, and she pointed down at my tummy. I was 6 months pregnant and suddenly flipping out about how I was going to tell DH, who was not keen to be going back to sleepless nights etc. LOL. Anyway just thought I'd share...
Kate  and also Noni  - sounds like you're both running on empty. xxx
-
Just a quickie from me. Got the test results back and they were all normal - which is great, no coeliac disease and thyroid is normal BUT something still isn't right and now I have no idea where to go next with it - hopefully the paed will be able to help. How do you keep persisting with something you can't put your finger on kwim? And Mum is well and coming home tomorrow.
Thinking of you all and I will try to get back on later to post properly.
-
oooh MD you dont have an oopsie in there do you???!!!!
Kate - hugs to you. I hope all is going well and the couselling has helped you and DH. Dont feel bad not to write much, but know we are thinking of you.
G - gorgeous re the ducks. I love your party invite btw, it is stunning!
Katie - yep things are going well for me. having the 2 of them is getting easier (though I still call in reinforcements on N's non creche days LOL. though this week i cant so i am on my own with them!). DH and I are more in sync over it all and N has adjusted a lot more. Dont get me wrong i still have bad days and i am feeling more lonely than last time (i think bc I NEVER get 1 ssecond without at least 1 child) but i am sorting that out too.... How are you feeling about when the luitle one arrives? you will be fab. i know i think often how G and Ange have been through this just a few months before me and it helps (as does their advice and supporive words of encouragement - thank girls!) so you and Arte can just think the same of me and Noni! glad the party was fun, i saw how hot it has been up there.
Sherie - getting excited for your visit here. can we get tog on the friday (ha ha will you be my 'reinforcements' that day LOL)? i have all our family from both sides here all weekend so friday would be best (can do sat too if that is all that will work with you). what would you like to do? i can meet you anywhere (where are you stayiong).
ETA - sherie - great news re the test results - at least you know what it isnt! now you need a v clued in paed.... hope he is feeling ok. good news re your mum too...
-
hey everyone just jumping on to let u all know im still alive lol..
having a bit of a tough time atm with the whole breastfeeding vs formula feeding thing.. have another thread going about it.. i just feel like im not making the right decision but im gonna feel that either way coz its the type of person i am grrrr..
trill - asha went through the same thing had the same tests it ended up being cryptosperidium n it took her months to get rid of it... they didnt find it till they decided to do a second stool sample (which i had so much fun collecting yuk!!)
-
Noni, I just replied in your thread hun. I really think you should give it another shot, because at least that way you do it on your terms and can resolve your feelings about it, and that's really important to do - especially if you are going to have another baby you need to pack the baggage away kwim?
PP - I just realised last night how close it is now! I will be travelling on the Friday but I can do Friday afternoon when I get there. I haven't booked anywhere yet, but will stay central I think - there was a place we stayed at in Forrest a few years ago and I will try to get in there. Otherwise it will be Manuka or Kingston. I don't know where we will meet though? i have a mental blank of where we can go.
-
Trill I live right in that area - so that's perfect to meet up...
we could honour MD and have a coffee at Pizazz in Kingston...
and then wander to the park near there?
or I am happy to meet somewhere else - fit in with your plans...
will you be too tired after the drive to meet? if not fri afternoon is great...
-
No, that's fine - sounds like a perfect way to unwind after the drive down.
-
Wow Ange, how exciting! DH and I are planning to leave this area before W starts school (not happy with the options here), I wish we were brave enough to go somewhere cool for a while before the school years start. Is it a fixed term contract?
MD, lol at your dream. Sorry about the cow story, I forget that things like that might disturb some people. It was pretty traumatic for a 12 year old to watch, it remains as one of my most vivid childhood memories lol
Trill, that is good news that A doesn't have coeliac disease. A little cousin of mine has it and nearly died from reactions a couple of times when his parents were starting solids. He is about 3 now and they have a terrible time finding food he can actually eat. I guess there are reasons that cousins shouldn't have children.....
Cally, sadly I can understand the trip to Sydney and the $800 cricket bat. DH's latest must have addition is a $1100 rifle. He somehow justified it by pointing out all the free venison we can have when he shoots some deer, but if you think about it $1100 buys quite a lot of meat (actual meat, not theoretical 'we saw some deer but...' futuristic meat) lol.
My house is a sty, I should be spending some time cleaning it or doing some other job I won't have time for shortly. Yet here I am on BB...
-
Arte, how are you feeling? Have you had the "ding, baby's cooked!" moment yet? LOL Stuff the housework, what you need right now is as much relaxation/resting as you can possibly cram in. xxx BTW I didn't mind the cow story, it just didn't go with my toast experience very well LOL.
PP & Trill - how exciting! That park at Kingston is awesome, we had a couple of celebrity sightings there when we first got to the ACT. If you go to Pizazz you will have to order some hotcakes, just for me :).
Ange - forgot to say, I've been excited all week for you...can't wait to hear what you think of PNG!
Saw on FB that Leanne is back from her very exciting O/seas trip. I hope she brought back souvenirs for everyone.
I'm eating a banana right now - & remembering when there was a banana shortage on! Man sooo glad that's over. Clare in case your reading what are you fave study munchies? I can't think/read/write without shovelling something into my mouth constantly & I can tell by the way you always talk about food when you're at work you're the same LOL. Or maybe it's just the ultimate procrastinatory tool...?
-
MD, you cannot go wrong with study M and M's! No 'ding' around here, still too worried about getting it out. After having another fight with DH and him agreeing to have mum watch W, I thought about the logistics and she would probably take close to 4 hours to get here, and then with the mutually agreed cut-off times when DH would need to be with W it turns out there is only a window of a few hours for the baby to arrive for it to actually work out anyway. So I have accepted that DH will miss it and am focusing instead on the special moment when DH and W get to come in and meet the new baby.
I remember that banana shortage. Why was that? Some cyclone or something? Gee there was a lot of whinging about it lol
I have been trying to prepare W a bit on what to expect with a new baby - he seemed shocked the other day when I told him new babies can't walk so I have been trying to let him know what to expect. Now he knows babies don't eat food (even breakfast!), they just drink special milk from mum. He was telling DH yesterday that new babies can't even sit up, just stay lying down. He sits and looks at a baby magazine and says he is reading about babies, very cute.
We need to be really careful what we say about anyone these days, W is absorbing everything at an alarming rate. Last week we went to Subway with BIL and he casually said 'I can't find my subway card', now a week later W pops out with "andrew can't find subway card, not in his wallet, might be at home...." I shudder to think of what we have unintentionally said that has been stored away for later reference.

Well just remember while you're in labour there will be a big bubble of love surrounding you. xxx
