Andie - I cant believe your ticker says your 15 weeks already...gosh its gone quick for...well for me anyway
DS in now in a big boys bed. And loves it. I have mixed feelings about it but am getting used to the idea. He was starting to get his legs caught in the rails and waking up. We had bought a bed to give to him for his birthday but decided that that the time was right to take out the cot and give him a single bed. We didn't bother with the toddler bed as its a cot size anyway. It took me a few days to get my head around changing things as he is a good sleeper and didn't want to mess with anything but its been a non event really. We put it in the same spot as the cot and kept the routine the same and he has only gotten out once since his first sleep on Friday afternoon. I just went in and put him back in bed and he rolled over and went to bed.
I was sad to see the cot go. We have had it set up in his room 5 months before he was born and I used to love spending time in there before he was born dreaming of having a baby in that cot. I am happy for him to progress and he loves his big bed he can bounce on and have lots of room to sleep, but sad for the baby I dont seem to have anymore. He had a haircut on the weekend also and now his baby curls have gone and its like we now have a child in the house and not a baby.
As we wont be having another I feel a bit ripped off that my time of having a baby in the house has gone by so quick. I waited so long to have a baby and before I know it the time has come and gone. I see new born babies and admit I feel clucky.
Having said that Jack is so much fun and is a great age. He just keeps getting better and better. He is interesting, loving and such a positive addition to our family.
