Ellie: I'm not sure what to suggest for Miss T, but I'm sure you will find what works best. I take my hat off to you with looking after 2 under 2. Poo to chick from your mother's group!!
Peta: Our life motto is "it doesn't rain it pours" & it sounds like you need a big umbrella. Hope you were able to get your fridge warranty sorted and you get a new fridge or your current one fixed quickly. Hope yours and Alyssa's cold are clearing too. I hate being sick.
Deacon doesn't have any teeth either yet. We're the same though and EVERYONE keeps saying he is coz he chews on everything (his fingers are his faves) since he was about 3 months old. With food, I'm same as peanutter, for lunch he'll have either porridge (with or without fruit), weetbix, toast or some multigrain rice cereal. For lunch I pack him sticks of either cucumber, rockmelon, watermelon, apple, peach, nectarine or any fruit that can be cut up into sticks; yoghurt; cruskits or rice cakes with some form of spread (vegemite, cream cheese, avo); and some little sausage fingers that I've made from different recipes. If you want to have a look there is a thread under baby led solids that has a link to a recipe book. There are some really good things in there. We don't always have dinner. As he gets breakfast, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea he sometimes doesn't want it. But if he does I usually do a mix of mash and finger food.
LC: So glad to hear your little girl is settling in. She sounds wonderful.
DB: Our nappy bag lives in Deacon's room. I find that handy as I just "refill" it when I put it away so it's ready for when we next need it. I hope everything is still going well with James's new school. I still can't believe how young bullying is starting these days. Logan sounds like a champ
Peanutter: Love your av. I can't wait to see what mine turns out like. Sounds like J-man is going great guns. You truely are an inspiration to me. When I'm feeling all tired and worn out from working full time, expressing at work, looking after Deacon etc etc I just think about what you've been through and how positive you are and I give myself the kick in the bum I need and get on with it. If you don't mind me asking, how do you get on with expressing at work?? I find that some days I struggle to get enough for the next day and others I have lots.... Some days I also find my let-down isn't too great either. Do you have any tips??
Big to everyone I've missed.
AFM: Deacon is doing fantastically. He is now a master at crawling (my goodness he is quick!!) and is pulling himself up on everything and starting to cruise along. I got a playpen for him last weekend so I'm able to put him in there when I need to duck outside to hang washing out or have a shower etc. He thinks it's great. It's one of those blow molded brightly coloured plastic ones. We play peek-a-boo around the sides and he cracks up laughing. He also likes that he can hit things against the side of it and it makes a loud bang noise.
He has settled into daycare really well and is now drinking all his milk (3 bottles at 100-125mL each), eating all his food, having 2 x 1-1.5 hour sleeps and has made lots of friends. Makes me feel a bit better about leaving him there to come back to work.
We are looking for a new house now too. We want to look at having another baby soon and we won't be able to fit a family of 4 in our little house. We have looked at a few but they have been either good land (we want a minimum of 5 acres with bushland) and crappy house or a good house and not the land we are after. Hoepfully we'll find something we like soon.

I think Im in the same boat as Holly, I just never have the time to sit at the computer these days. We have started up a little business due to lots of demand amongst friends & friends of friends & people I meet at playgroups etc for all the bits and bobs I've been making since I had Zarlen, nappies, bibs, floor rugs, pram liners, cot bumpers, blankets, dummy snaps etc.... I love sewing! It's just so I can make a bit of money and not have to go back to work for the time being, which is great. But it leaves me with very little time between Zarlen, Jeremy, sewing, school run, housework, shopping, cooking, playgroups & catching up with friends, no wonder Im always so tired lol. We just bought an industrial sewing machine yesterday so I am OH SO excited!
All the bubbas sound like they are growing nicely and learning lots! Congrats & welcome to Lil Chookie & a HUGE hello to all of you. I do see most of you on Facebook which is nice as I rarely make it onto BB.
We have just booked a 2 week South Pacific cruise for November, so that has put our baby plans on hold until Feb next year. No way do I want to be preggers for that!!!! There is about 25 of us going (friends & family) so it should be an awesome trip.
Ok Iv gotta run and get cutting & sewing before I have to go into town today.... ikkkkk, it's raining!
Hi all! How are all the bubbas going with teething? DD just cut her upper side teeth yesterday, both came through together. I thought it was one further up the back coming and then I looked in her mouth and there were the sides ones through next to her front teeth! Explains why sleep on Wednesday was just not happening. The most frustating thing about her teething is the pooing in her sleep, she wakes herself up in the middle of the night. I am changing more yuck nappies at 1am than I am during the day!!

Lil- my dd is teething and pooping like mad too. Maybe you should get a teething necklace. I'm sure many of us here would attest to those. I believe it's helping dd get through teething with relative ease. I might just buy myself a face mask for the smelly ones
Love to all. Busy here. We move on thurs and I got an email from our tenants this morning that a pipe burst at our house. Gah, just what we need. Oh well, that's what insurance is for!
Oh my....have just put Miss T in her own room for the first time...Dr seems to think she might sleep better in the peace and quiet...mmmm....not convinced but at this point will try anything!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lasted an hour then back in our room I think she is putting it on a bit ....arching her back an screaming at me then as soon as I do what she wants (pick her up) she stops! So tonight I have been tough...didn't let her fall asleep on boobie...then put her down and she screamed at me so I told her she is going to sleep in her cot and it's not up for discussion lol...she looked at me...rolled on her side and went to sleep...cheeky monkey....that was an hour ago...we'll see how we go!!!
We move on Thursday and DD has NEVER EVER slept in her cot....did I mention EVER! We'll see how that goes. DH & I might be in separate rooms for a while yet! Definitely no TTC here!! LOL
Yules...good luck! We have moved 3 times in 5 months and I'm over it! DH is now in Miss T's room and Miss T has her cot in our room...where she has always been...but I think I've worked out the pattern...she is so unsettled when I'm ovulating...I must smell different and my milk must not be as flash...so no TTC here either...and seriously...3 under 3....I would be crazy....but can't stop thinking about it either!@!?
Just a quick one to say hi & let you know I'm thinking of you all. Ellie, I hope you are going well with DD2's move. Alyssa has never been in our room but from what I've heard we got real lucky with her sleeping habits from early on so I won't complain. She is starting to wake up a few times through the night now, but usually its because she's been playing in bed & is sitting facing the wrong way or standiing up against the side of her cot.
Good luck for the move Thursday Yules! Hope it all goes smoothly. I love & hate moving days. Mostly love more than hate, but I think we've moved that many times we can nearly click our heels for our things to go into their boxes. You & Ellie can probably nearly do the same thing!
Miskilla great to hear from you & good to hear that you seem to have found yourself a little business to do from home. I am thinking continually about what I could do, but so far haven't come up with anything feasible.
Peanutter how are you going on your decision re lawsuit? I bet you are crazy busy with everything going on in your life. How are the J-Man and DH?
Question - if you had the chance to stop work & stay home with your LO would you? There are a few steps necessary to make this happen for me (sell the car & get a cheap one; resign; take Alyssa out of daycare; do a major budget re-shuffle; etc) but it is more & more in my thoughts. I just can't stand to see my DD face screaming at me everytime I leave her at daycare. Although we've been home for two weeks now with us both being sick, I haven't missed any of the routine & Alyssa seems to be eating & drinking much better & is generally calmer. DH keeps saying this is a decision only I can make, but i don't feel it is as I know he will then work a ton of OT to keep us happy(er). Any idea's would be appreciated.

Doodlebug - How was your 1st day back at work?
Peta - Your Dh is right, only you can make that decision, hun xxx We personally chose for me to stay at home once Carmelo was born - but it was something I have wanted for years, and I had been teaching piano since I was 17 (now 33) - with the longest break I ever had only being 1 school term (10 weeks) after I had Luke, and that was 12yrs ago I was really, really ready to stay at home full time... and also because we have a restaurant & DH works nights, it can't work with me teaching and starting work at 3pm in the afternoon.
There are so many things to consider.... are you guys planning on another baby in the near future? That may be a good thing to think about - 2 bubs in care might be a reason to decide staying at home is more suitable.... but of course, I don't know your situation or your family well enough!

As for us - going wonderfully here... we are 7/8ths crawling... more than a commando but not quite the proper crawl Starting to pull himself up over the last week, and lots more babble and attempt at words.
We're teaching him to wave when we say 'bye' or 'ciao ciao', and he's just figuring out clapping!
OMG the blowing raspberries while his eating is driving me crazy... it's always with the yoghurt or something equally as revoltingly smelling!
We have 4 teeth - the top 2 have been much worse coming through for him than the bottom 2, poor little man xxx Thank god for breastfeeding and co sleeping in this house otherwise I would be dead via sleep deprivation by now!!!
Peta - We are in the process of shifting money around...selling a house (trying to) and selling the car...all so I can stay home a bit longer...that's just me though...PND has made me a tad fragile and the thought of leaving the girls is more than I can bare!

Holly - Thinking the co sleeping may be the answer for me...sleep deprivation is a killer...wow on the teeth...we have the bottom two and no sign of anymore just yet...thank goodness.

Peanutter - I hope you get better soon! I know the last fortnight has been hard with both Alyssa & I sick, but now we are better and full steam ahead.
HB - good luck moving! Are you getting a removalist or just doing it yourselves? Our last house was 3 stories so we just paid the cash for the removalist - so much easier!!
Ellie - how did DD2 sleep? Better I hope. Good luck in selling your house, its a tough market at the moment (as you probably know), but there is always someone out there looking. I think its great that you want to stay home with the girls and that you're able to facilitate it with a few changes. It's true, you do anything for your kids hey?
Thanks girls for the advice on home vs work! I know deep down "retiring" is something I need to decide, it's just so hard. And I think alyssa plays me with daycare (ie, mucks around on the mornings then screams when I leave, only to be ok 10mins later & happy playing all day). Work already has a million massive jobs planned for me later this year so in a way its nice to be so needed there (there are only 2 of us left who have been there for 12years, the rest are all less than 10, so no one really knows as much as us about clients & the way things work [or should work]). The car still may get sold to reduce the budget regardless of whether I work. Seriously I should have thought through costs better as i only bought it in November 09! Who knew having a baby cost so much?! Not that I am complaining one bit.

How is your weekend progressing thus far? Has anyone else's LO's suddenly become impossible to change nappies or dress? All of a sudden Alyssa will not stay lying down to change her nappy or stay still to get dressed. Its made for some interesting situations. She won't stay still in the bath either, wants to climb around & stand up all the time.
DH has started cheating, and letting J man have his bottle while he gets his nappy changed, because then at least he (mostly) stays put ... and I just have baths with him, and try to not crawl right out!!!
Hi...just wondering...coz DD1 slept through from 8 weeks...I'm thinking maybe I'm just expecting too much from DD@? Is anyone else still feeding a few times during the night or is DD2 in need of some help? I'm so tired...just don't know what to try next. Thanks x
