Ahh its wonderful isn't it reading up on all the different progress we're at... Little Bree said Dadda for the first time on Sunday morning, and once she started, she just didn't stop, I have even got her on video twice Dad is over the moon, but again, Mum comes later... sigh! lol
She completed a 360 degree turn while on the floor but still not wanting to crawl, she is more interested in walking than crawling, and I can see some crawling games are going to be needed to teach her to put her hands out, otherwise she will face plant like my eldest every time she fell over when she first learnt to walk. My eldest was 8 months when she was walking a few steps on her own. Bree won't be far off that I don't think.

Farmgirl I have indeed noticed that her nappy rash has gotten worse during her teething period, however she has had this dam nappy rash since around the 3 month mark, we had it under control at one stage, but it just wouldn't completely go away. It has healed a lot since seeing the doc on thursday and starting the antibiotics, but it is still not healing completely, even though I keep her regularly changed and lathered up with cream. I have changed back to huggies baby wipes as I was using little souls for a few weeks and wondered if that has caused an irritation. I have also noticed in the past few days especially that Bree has been scratching her head. I have stopped using any soap in her bath, except when I wash her hair I use the baby shampoo, which I have started doing less. It has been suggested that during teething, baby's urine is more acidic which could cause the rash to be worse I guess. The idea of using a wet cloth is good in theory but in practise, I forget to get one ready before changing her. I do however dab her dry with the cloth nappy I lay underneath her when changing, before putting on the cream.

Bern, thanks for your ideas and input. I have suggested thrush as she had a hard time with oral thrush early on, but the nurse at child and youth health (at 5 months) and the doc (at 5 months and last week) have concluded that it is not thrush. The doctor suggested a bacterial infection which is why, i'm assuming, that he has put her onto the antibiotics.

BBB, Jacob will be on the move before you know it. Its amazing how one day things are cruising along as usual, then the next minute, a milestone occurs and they're all of a sudden mobile etc... Brianna gets around really well in the walker but has shown no interest in crawling. I think she is starting to spread her wings a little now, seeing she done a full circle on the floor lol, it wont be long at all and we will have to try containing them to one room otherwise it will be a game of hide and seek lol... I have started to concern myself with all my chemicals and breakables which are accessible to little fingers... This is something I need to tend to immediately. I haven't had to think of it for so long. I guess it will be a matter of installing cupboard door latches and so on...

I can't believe Bree is almost at the 7 month mark. I can't believe how quickly time is travelling. I said to my husband just a few days ago, "Brianna is not a baby anymore, she is quickly growing into a little girl."

I put her first pair of shoes on her the other day, they came with a little dress I bought. Target were having massive clearance sales, some dresses were up to $27 and I picked them up for well under $10 each.

To celebrate Brianna's first christmas, I have taken photos of her in christmas outfits I bought from Big W, and gotten all creative with christmas cards! I have placed a photo of her (in her christmas outfit) on the front with a christmas decorative as a border, and inside I want to put her little footprints and another smaller photo of her with the person who the card is for. I really need to make the time to finish them off as christmas is getting nearer by the minute. I'm taking all the kids to the local christmas pageant. Was anyone brave enough to visit the one in town?

Anyway, I must go as young Bree is calling out for Dadda again, I must go tell her that Dadda is not home yet!
...and I think I can hear the laundry calling too lol !!

Take care!
