I'm gong to trot off to spotlight and see if I csn get a small canvas and some non toxic paint and do some hand and foot prints. I'm going to print out a funny pic of L and try and stick that on there as well with a lace boarder or something. I only have until 2pm today to get it done lol. Left it a bit late :rolleyes:.
EMC, last FB update was Tuesday saying Jim was laughing, havent chatted to her for a little while though.
I went to Baby & Childrens Expo in Adelaide earlier in the year and didn't think much of it to be honest.
Sooo much to do today! I have to get all ready to go to Sydney with Jacob and DH, and DH wouldn't even help me out by packing his bag last night so I got to do his too ! argh! useless men!

AFM - so busy here with trying to get this business up and running. Seems I am so busy with it but not getting alot of traction. Finally have some pics to put on the website, but the web is harder to negotiate than originally anticipated. I was hoping to just buy a website and be done with it! Eek. Still, I have plenty of leads to follow that I will be able to do now that the flu has left the building.
I got my mirena inserted today OUCH! I just about passed out afterwards. Not sure why, it was maybe a bit of a shock to the system. I actually felt quite sad to be in the Obs office again and not be pg. I would really like another baby. Not sure why, I didn't have this feeling after Caden and I knew I was going to have another one. Maybe it's cos this is the last? Well, it isn't going to happen accidentally now I have the mirena anyway, so I guess I should just focus on River being my baby :rolleyes:
AFRiver - he is going well, gaining weight, loving boobie and is generally a happy camper now. He goes to sleep in his cot without much fuss and the nights are getting better but still no long stretches. Getting 4 month needles next week :( so hopefully he handles them ok. I am over crying and sleepless nights for a little while.

Amelie cut her first tooth about 2 weeks ago. It was so strange, she was very drooly all of a sudden and one afternoon was complaining a little - I thought she might have scratched her mouth so I had a peak inside and saw a tiny little tooth poking through her gums (bottom left)! It was such a shock! She wasn't even 3 months yet! Here's hoping all the other teeth appear like that!
She is able to roll front to back, back to front now (when she wants to). Which is also great. Sometimes when she is on her stomach she pulls her knees up so it looks like she wants to crawl. I think she just wants to keep up with her brother.
Kaydee - wow, lots of rolling and a tooth! That's amazing. My lil guy is drooling up a storm but no fangs as yet. He keeps biting my bbs as well which isn't pleasant. I think I am his favourite chew toy :)
Everyone else - hi! Quiet in here of late...
AFM - all good here. Getting over flu bugs and River is alot more settled. Still getting up a couple of times each night, but nothing too strenuous. He is still quite gurgly in the tummy, so I think I might start a bit of an elimination diet to figure out what's wrong. Could be the lactose I am consuming. Oh well, he is pretty good so other than that it is not too bad.
Anyone else trying solids yet? I have some rice cereal but am in denial that he is ready for non-mummy food just yet :doh:. I guess I will get over myself but for now he is a (.)(.) boy only, LOL.

Dh and I had a "accident" the other day so i took the morning after pill, im a bit upset that the chemist never asked me if i was breastfeeding since i had chloe with me. I had a quick read of the leaflet and couldnt see anywhere where it says do not take if..... breastfeeding so i took it, then i read on a different part of the leaflet, do not breastfeed for at least 3 days, so im quiet devastated that chloe is on formula for three days, and im expressing and dumping :( Told DH he aint getting anymore untill he goes for the snip since he is the one who is insistant on no more kids.... The other depressing part is Chloe hasnt even attempted to refuse the formula, she dont give a rats... :(
anyway we are all good otherwise :)
OMG kaydee a tooth! Chloe has had really red cheeks the last couple of weeks and a little bit drooly, but no sign of teeth yet, DD1 didnt get any till she was 1!

Bern - The was poor form on the chemists part. Aren't they supposed to ask simple questions like that? I thought that would be on a list of simple questions to ask. I hated pumping and dumping when L had thrush. I just kept thinking what a waste and I'm working do hard to keep mu supply. So I know how you feel. Pooh to your DH. It's his fault lol.
Not much happening here. L is due for her 4 month needles today. Looking into a home based business ATM. Looking forward to it too. Also getting ready to go back to work next month. I can't believe it's gone so quickly.

Jacob has a had a taste of a milk arrowroot biscuit and some sweet potato, but he doesn't really seem into it. Likes his boob too much lol

It's been ages since I was able to post. Just really busy with all the kids as you can imagine lol. I have been diagnosed with PND and am now waiting to see someone. My GP did a referral to the ACE team at the hospital but they phoned him back and told him about some place closer to me so he rewrote the referral and now am just waiting. I have been having more good days but still need some help here.
Phoebe is doing really well. Babbles like crazy at everyone and loves to play with her sisters. She rolls from her front to her back but is still to lazy to try the other way :) We haven't tried her yet on any foods as she is such a booby girl, but I know it won't be far off as she watches every mouthful you put in yours lol. The last couple of days I have tried her in size O clothes and omg they fit her. She has just gone into 00's and now seems to have grown again. I have run out of clothes for her so will be going op shopping very soon. Unfortunately she is a late to bed baby (like midnight) and then I'm awake with her up to 4 times, for a feed, during the night then I have to be up with the other kids to get them ready for school. So not much sleep happening for this mumma atm. Not helping the PND at all. Phoebe is also sucking on her fingers like mad so I think her teeth are moving in the gums. No sign of them when I look but I can see the whiteness in the gums so they are there just not coming through yet.
Anyone know a cleaning fairy I can use lol my house is a terrible mess but I just don't have the motivation to clean it. Oh well I really should get to it instead of being on here. Take care everyone and kiss your LO's for me

I started the boys on solids on Sunday (rice cereal), Liam wasn't to sure about the spoon but didn't take him long to work out if he opened his mouth then he got a good reward. Rhys however had no issues opening his mouth for the spoon, he just doesn't know how to use hsi tongue to push the food back. Boys had their needles yesterday so I haven't given them any solids today as they are so tired and a bit cranky so decided to wait a few more days before trying again.
Rhys has now mastered the back to tummy roll with a leg lift when done so he can get his arm out from under him but Liam only gets half way, but saying that Liam is able to support his body weight and will be able to sit up by himself in the next couple of months I reckon.
Oh, boys had there 4 month weigh in last week with Liam weighing just under 6.5kg's and 63cm long and Rhys is just under 6kg's and is 62cm long. When I got home I then compared the boys to DD at the same age and Liam weighs a little bit more and is longer, so it is official that Liam is the big one of the family (he was 350grams less than DD's birth weight when born). Apart from that everything is just cruising along and I'm looking forward to the weekend - yay for some sunshine and warmer weather so we can get outside in the fresh air.
Better go, I'm trying to DD down for a nap and she is not being very co-operative.

Bree is doing really well... weighed her at 4 months (7.54 kg) She is in the 96th percentile

It was the last thing I was expecting! I was BF'ing up until a few days ago, I've decided to go with the bottle now (for a few different reasons). Now I'm only giving one or two feeds until my supply stops. I can't feel the tooth when she is feeding, so that's a good thing. The tooth is sticking out further everyday, so I guess you would feel it eventually. I can see the second bottom tooth is about to cut, here's hoping the rest of the teeth come as easily as the first!:
Kaydee you lucky duck... that seems very quick and easy for your lil ones teeth to come through. I thought Bree was suffering from the injections she had last monday but it turns out she is teething. Typically she started on the same day as her injections doh. She still hasn't got one through yet, and all I can say is "Thank GOD for Bonjela" LOL
Bree is doing really well. She is growing so quickly. She still hasn't rolled yet, she has wiggled herself around 90 degrees in her portable cot I use as her day bed/play bed.
She is into size 1's now, she still fits size 0's but the majority of her clothes are now size 1. I didn;t want to buy anymore size 0's when I took her shopping the other day.
She laughed the other day consistantly, she thought it was hilarious everytime I pretended to have the hiccups (she usually gets quite annoyed when she has them)
She loves listening to singing, she smiles when she hears someone singing, and she tried to join in with the singing that was playing in the car today :D Its amazing how happy she is when her gums have been covered in bonjela...
Does anyone else's lil bub have sticky feet? Bree's are often wet. She gets hot easily and I have to dress her in lighter clothes than I would like because she is like a lil radiator. I had her in a dress the other day when the weather was a lot warmer. It is cold today so I have her back in a winter suit today but wouldn't dare put a blanket over her though. She gets cranky when she gets hot and I noticed that it makes her reflux worse too. Yes she is still having probs with reflux. Not so bad as it was when she was newborn but its still enough to annoy me lol. It becomes like yoghurt when she is too hot. Eww. DH tells how she is getting much better in the reflux department, and I look at him and say yeh coz your not the one without any pj's at the moment lol
Bree has been sleeping really well. Apart from this morning, she woke up with sore gums, but went back to sleep after a nappy change and some bonjela. She has been sleeping about 12 hours each night, and doses off for quick naps during the day. I think I am quite lucky in the sleeping part.
I hope everyone is doing well. I still haven't gone back and read up on everyone, I skimmed over it the other week, but I will have to go back and read properly. Take care.
Hi everyone. Sorry I've been missing in action lately, it's been a busy time for me looking for work and settling Amelia into daycare.
Kim B, I'm sorry to hear about the PND. I hope you are receiving the help and support you need, and that your little one is bringing you some much needed love and joy.
Kaydee - gee, teeth already?? That's impressive. Amelia is drooling alot, but no teeth as yet. I breastfed my son until he was 13months old and never felt the bottom teeth. If they are attached properly, their tongue covers them and you shouldn't feel them. The top ones are a different story however.
Gemini Girl - Amelia loves singing too. I was stuck in traffic the other day and they only thing that stopped her from crying was my constant singing of twinkle twinkle.
AFM: Well Amelia has been in a hurry to get moving. Just this last week she has begun to get up on her hands and knees and rock back and forth. At times she has got right up on her toes and thrown herself forward. She is also very good at reversing, which she finds very frustrating because she then can't reach her toys.
We are still exclusively breastfeeding and will look at introducing solids at around 6 months. I've not been working since April, and so it's been much easier to keep this up then with my son. My daycare mum has been fantastic and together we have helped Amelia settle into care and learn how to use a bottle. She is not a big lover of lots of people, and will only settle for myself, my husband and my daycare mum. Unfortunatly she just screams if anyone else has a cuddle and it can take me 3-5 mins to calm her down. IF she has a really stressful day, she then has a bad day of wind and sleep the following day.
I weighed her at 4 months and she weighs 5.9kg and is only just fitting into the 00's. The 000's are too short, but they fit her body well. I often get her out of bed to find she has her arms out of the sleeves or her legs out of the pants. She can roll from front to back, and is trying hard to go from back to front but only manages to spin herself around on her head.
Well I better go and get some sleep, will be back up at 2 for a feed.
Farmgirl - I hear you on the twinkle twinkle! Only thing to get DS quiet too !!!
Hi girls Chloe is 5.7kg at 4 months. As for singing when they upset, happy and you know it does the trick everytime here :)
We are back on the breast and my supply is slowly getting back up. She has been having some pumpkin each night, and i tell you what if i dont have it ready at 530, she starts to chuckk a tanty to say "where is my food" LOL She is loving it.
Does anyone know what age is ok to introduce yoghurt? i was going to puree some fruit and mix with some yoghurt.
These school holiday me and my girls are going to drive up to the Gold Coast to visit my family. MIL is stressing about it, but i feel comfortable to do it and will stop if i feel tired.

Oh Wow, the littlies are quite active huh... ! I am amazed reading that your little one is getting up onto her hands and toes farmgirl, thats impressive. I try to encourage Bree to be more active, but she isn't that interested. She hates tummy time. Does anyone have any suggestions to get her to like tummy time? I tried laying on my back with her laying on my belly, but she still screamed. I try playing, talking, singing etc... what else can I do? I've had her in the jolly jumper a bit, she loves hanging around in it lol pun intended... but she isn't jumping, even with encouragement. She has tried to walk off a couple of times and screamed when she was pulled right back to where she started lol. I have showed her how to bounce and she thinks its hilarious but she is more than happy to stand there and suck and dribble all down the front of it, occassionally turning to look at whats behind her. Even the mat underneath her feet doesnt get her interested in moving... She is quite happy laying back putting her feet up on the bumper of the stroller while walking the kids to school lol, all thats missing is the hands to be resting behind the back of her head.. ! Hoping that her new walker will help her think about becoming a little more active... :)
Boy has she found her voice in the last few days, she needs to work on volume control though coz that high pitch squeel could really do with some work lol
Well I have enjoyed reading up on how everyone is going. Its great, I love BB for being able to catch up like this to see how other mums and their babies of the same age are going. Never seen this sort of thing with my older 3 children, its fantastic.

Long time no chat lol. L had her 4 month needles on Tuesday. She cried for a little and then was back to her self. Not long noe for me until I go back to work. Not sure how I feel about it to be honest. I'm loving being at home with L but I need the socialisation that work can offer lol. I'm setting up my own home business. I'm becoming a consultant for an already existing company. It means that I'll be able to do my own hours etc.... Just waiting for my FB page to be set up and we'll be good to go. We have our FS appointment now. We go back in December. So not sure if we'll be diving right into a FET or if we have to wait. Any way it could be a December TF. Not sure If I would do a TF in Feb as that was when we were UTD last time and it ended in a M/C. I guess we'll wait and see. We may put it off until June next year.
I'm glad to see everyone is travelling well. I hope to catch up on you all soon. Just been busy with stuff you all know how that goes lol.
Porsche - good luck on the home business babe! It is fun and exciting and hard going but I love my little business because you can work around bubs (and he helps a bit too).
Gemini - no tips for tummy time I am afraid. I tried everything with Caden, a mirror, getting on teh floor with him, a rolled up towel, toys, etc etc. In the end he crawled late and walked at 10months so I just think he preferred to be up and about :). River doesn't really have sticky feet, but I think you are right in that it is because she is a hot girl and doesn't like being too warm.
Kim - sorry to hear about your PND hun. It is hard with lack of sleep, I saw a baby show that said lack of sleep is strongly linked to PND. Add in the pressures of other children and a messy house (and lack of support?) and you end up depressed. Any person would be depressed under those conditions so I think it is not so much PND as depression because of the havoc in your life (that seems to come after having a baby). I hope you get to see someone soon, but maybe there is some other way to take the pressure off too? I have heard of home day care where they come to your home and help with bub while you're there, or maybe invest in a cleaner (I LOVE mine!), or even talk with your CHN about other volunteer services that come to your home for free (or a small fee based on income I think). Good luck babe, it is hard road to walk, I had PND with Caden but it was more the lack-of-support variety than depression caused by him, IYKWIM?
Bern - I think yoghurt is one of those 12 month foods normally because of the cow's milk quotient, but I guess a little bit wouldnt hurt to try. Ngala has a food check list that I found handy with Caden, it showed when to give certain foods (eg honey, citrus, strawberries, nuts, etc). Maybe go on their website and see if you can download it and keep in your pantry?
AFM - River doesn't get his 4 month checkup until 5 months cos the CHN is so busy, but on my scales he is 7.6kg. Big boy really, but not off the chart or anything. Measuring him is a bit harder cos he is a wriggler, but I think he is around 64cm. I will try again today to put in his little book. He hasn't tried solids yet and is a booby boy but grabs my hand when I am eating something and tries to put it into his mouth. He watches everyone eating and although I wanted to wait a bit, I think I might try him on some rice cereal this week just to see how he goes. He does roll from tummy to back but is liking tummy time alot more now so hasn't done it for a while. He is also still up about 3 times a night for a feed. It is mainly cos he wakes up after a poo and one of those feeds is just to top him up so he will sleep in in the morning. DH gets up with him if he wakes up at 6.30 so then I get to sleep in for another hour.
I am loving being at home and don't plan to go back until July next year. River is just growing up so fast though! He laughs when I tickle under his neck, and likes me holding him up in the air over my head (watch the drool though). He is drooling up a storm and if he could shove any more of his hand into his mouth he would swallow his own arm :rolleyes:. No teeth have cut yet but they are certainly moving. They don't seem to be giving him much grief though, I have only used bonjela a couple of times. He shuts up immediatley but I think that's more the taste than the sensation, LOL.

hi ladies! gosh its been such a long time! we've had hospital admissions, icu stays and lots of stress here! The boys have been picking up nicely though and at almost 5 months weigh 5.7 and 5.4KG which drs are really happy with for premmie twins who have been extremely sick.
No rolling or anything yet here Jackson tries but we've been told to expect it to be delayed with lleyton due to his neck, pelvis and back issues not to mention having spent 2 weeks paralysed which im not sure how much this would have effected it but im guessing a little as he couldnt move obviously.
I think thats all! The boys are still up 2-3 times a night, each!

WoooHooooo Bree finally rolled over for the first time the other day ! ! :D Sooo funny, it was like she had been waiting patiently to learn how to do it and as soon as she learned, she just didn't want to stop. Although she was cheating a little, she learned that if she brings her legs all the way with her feet high in the air, then she could throw her weight to one side and end up on her side...
Speaking of weight, I had her weighed yesterday at 5 months and she weighs 8.49kg naked... she is in size 1 clothes, still fits some size 0, and wearing toddler sized nappies. Strange because the crawler nappies are for 6-11kg and the toddler are for 10-15kg, but the last nappy I tried on her that was a crawler was very short and quite tight to say the least. Goodluck with number 3's in them lol
Looking for solids everyday now. If she misses out then she doesn't sleep well and wakes early, otherwise, like last night, she was bathed, fed (solids and bottle) and in bed by 8:45pm and slept until 8:45am... nice start to the day for mummy during school holidays :D (trying to adjust to daylight savings AND school holidays on top of that - just throws everything out.
I think she has been a little more tired than usual though because mummy wasn't picking up on the fact that she was looking for more solids EVERY day lol. So we're giving her about 2 heaped tablespoons of farex and she eats pretty much all of it. Enjoying every mouthful of it too... :D Still finding it strange having to dress her lightly when I am all rugged up, she just hates the heat. I had the heating on this morning briefly to take the chill off the air and she screamed the whole time I had it on, as soon as I turned it off she stopped screaming.
She has been sitting upright in the car for the last few weeks and has been sitting in the high chair really well for about a month (since fathers day).
Its amazing seeing her grab for her toys now and really intrigued by them. Lots of photos and videos taken all the time, and trying to keep up with the "My Firsts" is almost impossible lol

L rolled over from back to tummy about 2 weeks ago now and like Bree Gemini_girl she bought her legs up and used her weight to roll over lol. She did it about 5-6 times in a row and hasn't done it since. Lucky I got the video camera out and filmed her for evidence lol.
We started solids on Wednesday and she's loving it so far. Eats it all up little piggy. Had her weighed on Monday and she's 6.330kg and 62cm long. So not huge by any stretch of the imagination.
MrsS - You sound like you have been so busy with the twinnies. I'm glad it seems to be settling now.
Dragonbub - lol on the drool L is exactly the same. Her bib is saturated through all day. I don't know where she get it from lol.

Well it's been an eventful week for us here. I went back to full time work on Monday, just as my husband took two weeks holidays. So I've been getting myself back into the expressing and sterilising routine again, and Miss Amelia has been finding her feet with daddy at the helm.
The expressing is going well. I'm taking three breaks a day, and bringing home on average 300ml of milk a day. I was pleased on friday to freeze five bags of milk, which means I have excess for next week. Such a different story to when I had Noah, I had such trouble keeping up the supply. I just wish my left breast would produce milk at the same rate as my right. I usually get 20ml from the left and 80ml from the right, even though I express them in tandem.
Amelia is really getting some practice in with her crawling now. She can push herself back to sit on her bottom, but hasn't quite worked out how to walk her hands back to sit up. She is so obsessed with rocking on all fours she even does it in her sleep. Not long now till she starts moving forward.
No teeth as yet, and I've been a bit slack and not had the 4 month injections. Will have to book her in this week I think.

Hi everyone, thought I'd better pop my head in here and say howdy again.
It's been good to read about all the progress the LO's are making :) They are growing so fast. I can't believe we are nearly at the 6 month mark for some.
Phoebe is doing well. I have been very slack and haven't had her weighed for ages but she is a right little porker lol. She has rolls on her wrists and ankles and the cutest little chubby bum :) She has been rolling over from her back to her front but still has no desire to try anything further. Phoebe has no teeth as yet either. She has started on solids but not the farax as she hates it. I have been giving her those pouches with the pureed food in them. She will eat a whole pouch in one sitting :o This in one girl who loves her food lol. We are still breastfeeding and she has about 3 feeds still during the night. At the moment she is such a koala baby. I can't even give her to DF to hold as she screams until I pick her back up. My pit of a house is really looking like a tip now but I can't put her down to do anything :( My PND is still active but I'm seeing a counsellor and I feel that it is helping. I may still have to go on meds but it is good to have someone to talk to.

Hey Kim, glad to hear Phoebe is doing so well and your PND is under control. I had it with Caden and I think it was just so overwhelming. For me it was because of lack of family support and general parental shock. It was a nightmare so I am glad to hear you are talking to someone and finding some relief *hugs*.
Farmgirl - wow almost crawling! Gee, River is fairly content just hanging out on his tummy, and will occasionally roll from tummy to back (and looks quite shocked at first, then thinks it's hilarious). No teeth here either but he has taken to chewing on my chin when he gets the opportunity to latch on. Feels very strange and a little bit painful but he seems to enjoy it :rolleyes:. yay, I am a teething rusk!
Porsche - good luck with the markets babe. Very exciting to be starting your own business!
AFM - all good here. One more week til my own business is launched "officially" so looking forward to that. I ahve been so busy getting the website up and running and juggling kids with it all that I feel like I am walking in quick sand most days, putting in a lot of energy but not really getting anywhere. Just had Caden's 4th birthday bash which was a real hit, so glad that is over and I can get back to my business.
River is going wonderfully. He is such a happy contented baby, he just hangs around with me and helps me with my work (although he does tend to eat paper if he can get hold of any, LOL). He is 7.62 kg and 63 cm so a bit of a shortie and pudding baby. He looks just gorgous though, but quite different from Caden who looks more like his dad. My mum thinks River looks just like me, and I agree too. He is much fairer and even going blondish, whereas Caden has his daddy's olive italian skin and dark brown eyes. I am just loving being at home and have zero desire to go back to work any time soon. I just hope with the business and some consulting work that I will commence in the new year, I wont have to go back at all, fingers crossed!

Congratulations to all those who are starting out a new online business. Maybe I need to have a caht to you in private coz I wouldn't mind doing it, but wouldn't know how, or where to start.
I have been sick with a cold, I think, or really bad hayfever, can't work it out? Doc put me on antibiotics but I still haven't gotten rid of it completely. I wouldn't go near Bree over the weekend coz I didn't want her getting sick if it was the cold. After two days of not going near her, would you believe it, the first time I picked her up, she vomited on me within 5 minutes Argh.
Bree has been learning to sit up. She thinks its hilarious when she falls to one side. She is trying to do this more than trying to sit up I think lol.
Still no teeth, still not interested in rolling, but grabbing toys without even thinking about it now. She loves her walker, loves her food, and she has been for a bike ride already too :) I bought a seat for the back of my bike, so we went for a short ride during the holidays. She loves being outdoors. Getting very difficult to hold her, doesn't always sit comfortably on the hip, but too big and heavy to hold in front. Not sure what she weighs at the moment, she was 8.49kg at 5 months, but she has been in size 1's for a while now and went into toddler sized nappies just after she turned 5 months :0

Hi All,
I'm new to the site and was wondering if I could join you. My DS was born on the 4 th May 2011 at 11 pounds 2 oz (5.035 kilos) by c- section.
He is doing really well by nearly sitting and standing up by himself. I started him on solids just after 4 months, cause he just loves his tucker. DS is our 1st child and I will probably ask lots of questions for reassurance.
I look forward to chatting with you in the future and getting to know you all.

He certainly was big. I thought I was just really fat cause t the end I was eating a lot of ice-cream.
I tried to go natural but was induced and my body failed to progress, so it was decided to go c-section. I think my body new how big he was and thought to save me any damage down there. Lol

Welcome Jubear - congratulations on your bouncing baby boy. He weighs just a little more then I did at birth, which is the reason mum never had a third baby - two eleven pounders was enough.
Kim B - my house too looks like a cyclone has ripped through it, generally by the name of cyclone Noah. It's good to hear your PND is setteling down, although it sounds as though you have to keep working on it. All the best honey.
I love reading up on how all the bubs are doing. Such an amazing range of sizes and development in the group.
I finally had Amelia's 4 month shots done at 5 months of age. The doctor weighed her and took her measurements, and whilst he wasn't concerned, he did mention he wants to keep track of her. Basically she was in the 75th percentile when she was born, and is now in the 10th percentile. She weighs just 5.7 kgs and is 61cms long. I did explain to him that her nanna is only 4 foot 10 inch, so short does run in the family. I'm not worried about her because she is a very happy baby with big chubby legs, a good appitite and lots of wet and pooey nappies. She is also learning new things every day and is very active.
She is now moving around on the floor forwards and backwards, and rolls both ways to get to the toy she wants. Whilst I wouldn't call it crawling, she does do a bit of a caterpiller creep to get closer to the toys. This however has resulted in a few face plants on the toys quickly followed by tears.
For about a week when I went back to work, she had very erratic sleep patterns, waking neraly every hour at night, and not wanting to go back to sleep. But she has settled back into her old pattern now of three hourly feeds at night. I am exhausted though, and so glad I have an easy job that allows for expressing breaks and doing what I please. I've been eating those lactation cookies and taking Fenugreek tablets to try and increase my supply to help with expressing, but they don't seem to be doing anything.
Still no teeth, and we are starting food at the six months mark in three weeks time. Looking forward to it.

Where has everyone gone? No one is posting much these days...
Bree is doing ok. She was going through a bit of a bad patch but seems to have come out of it now. I was getting frustrated because she had been sleeping so well during the nights and then she started waking again about 2-3 times a night, not for a feed, just for comfort. I thought she had my cold, but she was given the all clear on that side of things, but it seems her rash under her chin from all the dribbling is what was causing her so much grief and keeping her up at night. Doc gave us some heavy duty cream as the baby butter wasn't working quick enough and after a few dabs of this super dooper cream, rash is gone and sleep has returned, thank god :)
Bree is starting to grab for everything now, my glasses have been snatched off my head a few times and had some dribble added to them lol. Hair must be tied back these days too. I am taking her on Friday to have her weighed again, should be interesting, and have to book her in for 6 months injections too :(
Brianna went for her first bike ride the other week and absolutely loved it :):)

Oh and I am banning custard LOL, OMG isn't that fun - NOT. Weetbix and Farex it is for the moment, atleast until a good eating technique is formed lol (she had it going so well before, but now she is trying out this new style of eating by slurping food off the spoon)

Well my little girl is growing up so fast! She can now crawl and sit, and is starting to pull herself up on things. We have also started baby led weaning and she loves avocado, tomatoes, banana, sausages and the odd bit of bread. She won't eat from a spoon and hates it if you try to put food in her mouth. So she does it herself with finger food. I weighed her yesterday and she is now 6kg, so very little but still with big chubby legs. I can't believe she is six months old now. I hope everyone is doing well and bubs are all happy and healthy.

OMG Farmgirl, that is incredible. I can't believe your little one is pulling herself up. Thats amazing! And for such a tiny little one too... extraordinary :)
Brianna is not interested much in getting around, she wriggles herself around on the floor, kind of like a crab, uses her legs to wiggle her bum around. She still likes falling over rather than sitting up. She loves being in her walker, especially outside. She is doing really well in the walker now, she walked herself to the christmas tree and started pulling off the decorations lol the massive smile on her face was priceless.
I had Bree weighed the other week when she was 6 months exactly. She weighed 9.3kg so she is finally levelling off a little as she didn't put on another full kg over the month. She is about 7% past the top of the chart. Her length is average though, about 75th percentile at 66cm. She had her 6 month injections at the time too, she just slept it off over the following few days.
Bree has had sooooo much trouble with nappy rash. I keep her clean and dry, I change her every bottle and in between if she needs, making sure to smother her in either the hydrozole or a barrier cream. The nurse at Child and Youth Health told me the other week to stop using hydrozole for a week because she wanted to see what happens. Well since then her little toosh has been bright red. When I ran out of Hydrozole, the lady in the chemist told me not to use hydrozole as it thins the skin. So even though I bought some that day, I was hesitant to use it after she told me that. Since the weekend it has been even worse, and I rang the health line and spoke to a doctor for some advice, he told me to use the cream I had for her rash on her face, so I have been doing this since the weekend but it has only gotten worse. It has been that sore that she cries at the thought of changing her and she screamed when I gave her a bath. I have given her as much time as possible without a nappy on. I finally got her in to see the doctor last night and he said that it looks like it might be something else. A fungal infection or something? He said that usually the nappy rash only affects the exposed skin whereas with Bree it was between the skin folds also. He has put her onto some antibiotics and told me to continue using hydrozole and requested to see her in one week. I questioned him about the hydrozole thinning the skin and he says that hydrozole does not thin the skin.....
Anyways...
Bree got 3 teeth in one day! She has her lower central incissors and one upper central incissor... she was pretty happy to see how exited I was for her when I felt them in her mouth, but since the initial celebration, she is now reluctant to let anyone else near them. Nice to see their is a result to all that dribble. She smiles a little differently now I have noticed, still a gorgeous smile, but her gums must be quite sensitive at the moment.
Bree is going in for a barium swallow test in a few weeks time. She has had bouts of coughing fits and the docs want to make sure that everything is working fine. It sometimes sounds like she is aspirating (sp?).
I'm headed in for eye surgery in about a week Eeek wish me luck! It will be nice to see all the pretty christmas lights without all the massive halo's surrounding them. And to see all my beautiful children clearly from across the room! Can't wait.
