Hi all, I'm back from my holiday. I'm sitting here with my huge cat on my lap - I think he missed me.

We had a good time right up until we left and half an hour from Coolangatta DH's 1961 Mini broke down & we sat in a shopping centre car park (although we did go into the shopping centre briefly) for nearly 4 hrs trying to fix it before my step-Dad decided to tow it to his place with his 1971 Kombi - it was a sight and took them about 2 1/2 hrs to get there - luckily there are no child seats in the Mini so we took my car down as well so I got to drive home in comfort.

We ate alot of not so healthy food so it was hard to do BLS with Mr I - he had pizza crusts one night The place we stayed at had glass coffee table and he had a great time trying to work out why he could see things under the table but couldn't touch them.

I'm going to work Fri, Sat & Sun so I'd better go & try to express so DH can feed Mr I . He's getting my Dad & step-Mum over to help him look after the kids and build the first stage of the kitchen - I'm not expecting to have much done.

Hi all, on my SILs laptop so gonna make this quick...

Bec and Sarah WWWOOOOOPPP!!!! Tomorrow tomorrow ...lalala tomorrow!!! Ill be the readheaded (well strawberry blonde actually lol) with a big black 3 wheeler babyjogger pram...Probably wrapped in a doona and dragging a heater around with me lol I am so freaked out I will forget your names or not recognise you and look like an idiot lol but Im kinda used to it.... Oh I will definately be wearing doc martens and jeans because then I can wear my wooly socks lol. V will be one of the 3 best looking babies there I wonder who the other 2 will be heehee!!!! Will we all have to say "lol" instead of actually laughing???

Selfish post. Theo finally has a tooth! my little man is growing up!
And also last night he started pulling himself up on the couch and standing there for more than a couple of seconds, it was more like.. a couple of minutes! He was even holding on one handed while he was turning around to watch kaili.

Hi Snowy - lol I couldn't help but laugh at your story about DH and your stepdad, I had visions of this old Kombi towing an old Mini, I do hope you got a photo of that! Two classics mind you! Kombi's are all in again now aren't they, so are mini's for that matter, although everyone's driving the new ones which look a bit plastic to me. Hope you had a nice time away regardless.

Hi Kymmy - well, I'm in Perth and so's Mon so we could always do the same. I have met up with the 2 Perth girls from the December forum and we meet once a month now, it's so nice.

Hi Telly - go Theo with a tooth! Yay! Isn't it the cutest, when Amelia smiles and I see the little peg I go awwwww every time lol - still waiting for the 2nd one to appear but it's not far I don't think. As for him standing, wow, that is super impressive! Amelia is nowhere near doing that, although we have taught her to clap and when we say clap hands she does, it's so cute. Am trying to teach her to wave now, I think that would be so cute. Gosh they're growing so fast, almost time for another! lol

AFM - well miracles of all miracles Amelia slept through the whole night last night! I went in to check on her once and she was up the other end of the cot so I just moved her back and she stayed there until 6.30 am! Her nose was clear and she was breathing through it no problems. I got so excited as she looked and sounded back to normal....but since being up her nose has gone all snotty again. She won't let me near her with the suction thing though. I'm a bit bummed as I thought it had gone but perhaps she's on the mend at least. I'm not going swimming today though, thought it best if I avoided that today, shame as she loves it but don't want her catching a chill or passing it onto the other bubs. I feel worse today, think the lack of sleep this week has caught up on me and I have a feeling I might be getting her cold, my throat is a bit sore and my nose feels a bit funny but I don't care, as long as she's better, I can take stuff for it at least! Last night I elevated her mattress a bit more and doubled the dose of the vicks in the vaporizer, my friend said to only use 1 capful not the recommended 2.5 but her room is quite big so I did what it says on the bottle and obviously that made a difference. I also put her in the bathroom when I had a shower last night so she could get the steam. Oh and someone told me to put Vicks on their feet and then cover their feet with either socks or their all in ones as apparently that helps with coughs and sinuses so will give that a go today! Will be doing all these things again today that's for sure. But, I'm just glad she's on the mend, I really don't fair well with a sick baby, not sure if I'm just pathetic or if it's normal but I hope I get better as I've got many more years of things like this and worse to come I'm sure.

Angela: I love reading your posts! So funny!! Had a good piccy in my head of the cars! We used to have a Kombi van growing up, my mum had too many kids to fit in a regular car! But we used to get so embarrassed getting dropped off at high school in it! We used to make her drop us around the corner and we walked the rest of the way! haha!

Awww Mon thats soooo cute!!! Wish Eden was still in 000's!! She's popping out of 0's unfortunately, I had a shirt on her today, and it was quite tight and I'm like - nooooooooo for godsake child stop frackin growing so fast!!! lol And then DD1 is getting too long for some of her 2's - she's not even 2 yet. Grrr.

Just a quick one before Abbey stacks it on the lounge room floor and hollers for me.....

I'm running out of ideas for spreads to put on toast and sangers for the Abster....I imagine she's getting sick of Vegemite and avocado.....obviously cant put Peanut Butter or jam or anything like that so what else?!?!?!??!?

Also gave her scrambled egg the other night as I was running low on things I could just slop onto her high chair tray and let her rip into and she loved it!! I hope that was OK? None of us have egg allergies and she hasnt had any reactions to it so it was good!

Nightmare last night with her.....constantly whinging and whinging until I put her in her cot at about 4am with her mobile on and I just went and crashed in bed and woke up at 6am, freaked out and found her sleeping....I didnt hear a thing I was that tired....some of her little stuffed toys were on the floor and so was her dummy so I imagine she wouldnt have had a nice time in there....poor thing but I was at the point where I couldnt deal with her anymore.....

2 teeth through now so that's probably part of the problem hey!!

Shayna - egg is fine - when doing BLS anyway I give cream cheese and hommus as well on toast, just to keep it different. I don't have peanut butter in the house, and only the older kids get jam.

We went to a BB member's house for dinner last night, I took a zucchini quiche with us, and omg - eden LOVED it. I cut off a slice for her (like i did for everyone) and she picked it up with one hand like a piece of pizza and in it went.. haahahah!!! SOoo funny.

But then we got home and she screamed solid for about an hour, so I think we were home too late and she was wayyyyy overtired and over stimulated. Poor thing really needs to be in bed by 7pm or else she cracks it!!!

She's having a lovely long sleep at the moment, as is DD1 and DS is at daycare... yayyy... I've actually got dinner cooking, house tidy (not clean, but tidy) dishwasher on, second load of washing on - just have to fold some more washing, and sort out my nappies!!

Question out of the blue, does anyone else consider their mum to be their best friend??

Seriously ladies.. my mum is easily my bestie, and she is going away for a wedding this weekend (i was invited too, but the kids wern't so we declined). and i'm already dredding the weekend, BORING! We will probably hang out with some of DHs friends, who's wife is seriously hard work. I find our convo's exhausting. She's CONSTANTLY b*tching about people, and judging them, its such an effort. hmph....

dont even know where that little outburst came from? haha

shayna - i know.. the addiction is ridiculous right?! I need to have my daily fix or else i can't function! haha
Dont stress about little abster, im sure she is fine. Can you ask your DH to take over one night this weekend?? Sounds like you need a proper sleep Murphys law tho, on that night she'll sleep like an angel! grr!

mel - mmmm zuchini slice -im such a fan! Think i might whip one up for dinner tonight. I better go get another load of washing in too. but bb... oh laundry can wait!

AFM - Last night i tried to earn housewife of the year and failed completely! I had a cry about it and all. My plan was to have dinner and muffins, and a clean house for when chris got home. Muffins, done! (Really elaborate recipe that i would never really try... even had pepitas in it!! WTF ARE PEPITAS~?! bahahaha!! ). Then cleaned the house. Started on dinner, a kinda salmon bake thingo (ww recipe). Just as i was adding the white sauce and the pasta together, theo started cracking it. Went to him, burnt the ***** out off the food. The whole house smelt soo bad of burnt food! So i cleaned again. Started again. Everything was going well until i put the can of salmon into the mix. I'm not one for salmon, tuna... i've never cooked with it to be honest, so i know nothing about it. But there were bones EVERYWHERE!!! ALLL THOUGH IT!?! Is that normal?! So i ended up throwing it out too AND i burnt my hand as well. Then DH came home in the mix of it all. The kitchen looked like a bomb had hit. Smelt of burning. Both kids were crying, it was 6pm neither had been fed of bathed. and i was crying. ... hahahahaha. Ahh i can laugh about it now!

So he ended up taking over. cooked sausages, then he bathed the kids, and then he fed them (after a 14 hour shift). ahhh housewife of the year?>? i think not.
