I hope the stitch removing goes smoothly, G. So DJ Lance is a real DJ?? too cool (and how old am I getting that I didn't know that)?!
Bit of snot and rain brewing here too. Looking forward to it being the weekend again.
The FDC lady asked me what we had on this weekend...I was like...ahh we've got something on...can't quite remember what Oh yeah that's right, it's only the DOUBLE birthday tomorrow!! You wouldn't think I'd forget that, but, I did. . I'd better go get myself organised then.
Hi Lovelies! MD I cant blieve you nearly forgot the double birthday! whoa that would have been a little uncomfortable in the morning!
I cant write much, am at work and having a crazy busy time of it generally. J has chicken pox!!!!! he has been home sincewed and wont be back at care til at least next wed.... poor little guy!
Aside from that all is well. I have planned his bday party (can you believe he will be 2 in a couple of weeks??). Like you G, I have a typical 2 yr old and I am thinking what an angel Noah was/is!!!
I'll jump back on on the weekend and write more... i do read to catch up but sorry I dont write much these days. xxx
I am so thankful that Go Gabba Gabba isn't on the channel we watch here, that red thing looks like a sex toy!
MP, Poor J, hope his pox aren't too bad. Has N had them? The other siblings usually breaks out 10-14 days after the first. Hope your new job is going well.
MD, hope everyone enjoys the double birthday!
Speaking of birthdays, if I am not on tomorrow Happy Birthday Cally!
LOL at the second kids being horrors. My first pancake was the disaster.
Had my exam today. W managed to keep me up for two hours in the middle of the night which didn't help but I think I did alright.
Then he got up at 5.30am and was a tired disaster and wouldn't get on the bus for a kindy trip so he went in the car with DH. They were performing at a Matariki concert (Maori new year) but we didn't bother trying to get him on stage because he would have just got more upset. He (and A) wouldn't sit still for the rest of the performances so we just cut out early and went home.
Off for my night away tomorrow! Part of me is looking forward to it and the other part is too tired and just wants to sleep lol. Hopefully Kev puts on a good show.
Arte, I hope you get to have a full night of uninterrupted sleep tomorrow!
G, the stitches sound ouchy, I hope they came out alright.
MP good to see you! I can't believe he is nearly 2 either! that time sure has flown by.
MD, any news on the uni front about your request?
Well things are flat out here as usual. Seems to be the story of my life atm. I just have so much on my plate and Im' at the point where I am just counting down the weeks till football season is over so my life slows down again. Uni is officially over for the semester too which is awesome! It's good knowing I don't have to worry about it till nearly the end of July.
Well after hoping that DH wont have to have the clexane anymore, he got told he needs it for another week! poor bugger is totally over it. But the good news is that the clot has shrunk significantly!
Arte: ahhhh dont worry once you are on the road and kissed the kids goodbye for the night you'll get in the groove of it all just like riding a bicycle all that sleep you'll be getting lol.
G: hope that the war wound for L has healed up all good.
MD: not sure what show it is...i havent even googled it lol. it is the new show apparently (opening night and all i've been told...). man, you are lucky to even remember. i have days where i dont even know how old i am hahahahaha!
MP: ahh the chicken pox...the bright side is that it will be all over for him when his birthday rolls up. and hopefully N will have dodged it!
AFM: got my PhD!!!!! so from now on it is Dr Cassius ok?
DOCTOR Cass, that's deserves a glass of bubbles!! Congratulations, well deserved, and may it be the beginning of many other good things and paths laid open for you. xxx
Trill, is the clot only due to the surgery or does it indicate that he might be more at risk of a stroke? Bummer about having to take the Clexane for longer.
Arte it was because they had to put a tourniquet on each thigh to do the knee surgery. Apparently it is common complication of having the tourniquet on, but his surgeon thought that he should be OK as they were only on for 15 minutes each leg. But I guess any length of time you restrict the blood flow for is going to be a bit risky. He's hoping that this will just be a once off and that he wont have a clotting problem, but again I suppose it is something he will have to be mindful of now if he ever has to have surgery again for anything.
wow, i wouldnt have thought that it could be so quick for clots how did the rest of the surgery go? all smooth sailing?? (or have i missed that update like ages ago...am terribly vague these last few weeks, apologies ).
arte- J absolutely loves yo gabba gabba. i reckon it's a cracker!
pretty wet and miserable here today. dh is working and the boys are watching a dvd. we are actually going out tonight. first time in about a year i reckon. we have a 30th so dad is babysitting.
oh and i forgot to tell you all that about 3 nights ago L started sleeping in his own bed. nearly 4 years of co-sleeping! i miss kissing and cuddling him in bed but at least i still have J so proud of L though, he did it all himself. just decided he was ready and sleeps in there all night without waking.
G, you must feel like there is loads of room in your bed now LOL. But yay for L!
Cass, it wasn't right by the next day, but it was hard to know if it was a real problem or just a post-op thing kwim? But yeah, now the soreness of the actual surgery has gone he's feeling really good. He's not game to squat right down on his knees yet though in case it hurts - he told me he has the same fear of doing that as what I did when you have to do your first poo after having a baby I was always terrified of that so I understand his fear
yeah i think i get what he means lol! also i had a similar fear about eating and drinking when i had my tonsils out...didnt want to test those waters for a long while haha!
G: argh! I am so jealous! i want to have a night out!
Congratulations Cass, that is an awesome achievement, very well done!!!!
Ginger - Enjoy your night out. I didnt know you were co sleeping, well done to L for moving into his own bed with no hassles!
Trill - Hahaha yes I remember that feeling after babies!
Arte - Hope you have a full nights rest tonight!! YAY! Jealous
MP - Oh no not the cp!! Hope it comes and goes very quickly.
Cally - Yay for the new laptop!
AFM - DH has taken M out with friends for a dinner date, I am staying home enjoying the peace and quiet. E is fast asleep in bed. We had a busy day. Sometimes its just easier to stay home when baby is tired and not in the mood for going out iykwim. Besides, DH & M special bonding time.
Isa- daddy and m bonding time sounds lovely. I love special one on one time with the kids. Yes I have co slept with L every day since he was born ( except a couple of nights when i was in hospy having J)so it feels strange. He's a very happy and good sleeper now though
Yes my bed feels very big. J does have a habit of sleeping horizontally though lol. I'm trying to enjoy my snuggles with him cos it goes so quickly.
Having major dramas trying to decide what school to put L in. Anyone else?
