oh girls you guys have been amazing
by some sweet relief DH did end up coming home early! it was such a big relief you have no idea! he still mananged to ask if i had put the washing out lol. but i was firm and decided to not move off the couch AT ALL for 2 hours. it was hard, having to listen to him chase the girls and listen as i could hear the girls digging up the plants and then 20 minutes later listen as he realised lol. but i did manage to sleep.
thankfully he has all day tomorrow off and be will taking the girls out for loads of trips. i have the GP appt tomorrow :crossfingers: that it goes well and that i am on the mend. TBH i have no idea! all my limbs still feel achey and swollen and i am fast out of breath, but hopefully by tomorrow it will be a bit better.
thanks for all your love, it really means alot xx
Cally: oohhh we also had shoe issues! L decided that all of a sudden she couldnt do the straps! and then it morphed into other things like buttons on shirts, putting singlets on....oh my goodness!
-
:grouphug: Cass. I'm glad your DH came home. xx
Arte I tried to rep you - for inventing Shamditioner! Gotta share the love. xxx
-
You have to admit that Shamditioner has a nicer ring to it than Conpoo :)
-
Arte - love shamditioner!!
Cass - so glad that DH came through for you and you managed to get a break and a nap.
-
some good news! i am on the mend :leap:
ok, so my throat is still a bit ick, and i have a headache and apparently some cysts in the back of my knees are still inflammed (oh man i am must be gorgeous lol), BUT the good news is that he thinks that i am recovering normally! wahoooooo!
have low iron again, but apparently he reckons that after the tonsilitis drama that it can take years to get that back and stay up in normal levels. i dont mind having to take iron supplements...too easy!
(can you tell that i am excited??).
just have to take it easy for the next few days and not stress the ol' body, but this is good news!
now i am hoping to be 100% for Leila's 4th birthday (next friday!)
-
That is great news Cass! Have you considered the iron injections? I have just had a series of them because I can't take pills. They are over and done with very quickly. Downside - the big black stain that comes up on my arse cheek that stayed for two years after the injections I had before A was born!
I am not sure if this baby realises it is the third one in 4 years, but if she keeps head butting like she is then she will just fall out! Hoping she stays put until next weekend - the kids have both started coughing in the last couple of days and I would rather they were over that before we get a newborn. But I guess there is no stopping her if she wants to come.
-
Arte, was that the sound of the microwave going DING??! Are you due? I'd like to put in my order for a birthday-buddy for Missy E on the 11th, thanks. That's a Sunday. Does that suit you? ;).
Cass, yay for recuperation! :cheer: But don't get ahead of yourself. You still need to give yourself plenty of recovery time.
How's the Trill-ster going these days?
Well the exciting news of the week was that the greengrocer was selling eeny teeny bananas for the bargain price of $8.99! Good times roll! I can feel some banana pancakes coming on...
-
MD, not due until the 9th. Hoping to avoid the 5th and 10th (A and W's birthdays) but any other time is alright. I just have to fit it in between making the birthday cakes, wrapping the presents and organizing the kids party.
Should I even tell you that I had to make a smoothie today because our $2.99/kg banana's were going black. Usually I just throw them out.
-
$2.99 for bananas? oh man, they were the days. here they are still very much a gourmet treat lol.
MD: thanks for the tip! i must admit that i got a *bit* excited and tried to clean the girls room. ended up flat on my back on Ls bed with a massive dizzy spell lol. argh! i hate being unwell!!
MP: thanks so much for sending the meal over tomorrow  it comes as great timing as DH is away tonight and tomorrow night and monday night, so one less meal to prepare when standing up for any period longer than 5 mintues is yuk is just the best. thank you thank you thank you
Arte: i reckon the 2nd and the 7th of September are great days (I think MD might agree with the 7th ;)). But then again, we could try to fill up most of the dates of september. i reckon between you and me we can make it happen
-
great that you are on the mend cass! :)
how lovely of mp to bring you some yummy mp food :)
arte- i would say that the 7th oct is a good date to have a baby (L's birthday) but i think you'll kill me!!! LOL
md- mmmmm banana pancakes
-
G, there is no freaking way I am holding out until October!
Would like to avoid the 4th and 7th if possible - my cousins birthday's - mainly because they were both due to have daughters on my birthday in May and neither of them had the good manners to deliver on time! But then twice I have passed them over too lol
Cass, I don't know if your half italian kids can lower themselves, but frozen pizza from the supermarket is a life saver sometimes. When I was sick when DH was away my kids ate a lot of processed chicken and boxed pizza.
MP, that is lovely of you to make food for Cass - bet it is something fabulous!
-
yeah i was thinking today that some of those frozen chicken kievs or schnitzels might be a good idea. but the pizza would be easier still as it is just throw in the oven...i will get DH to get some on Sunday (if he is home ). as it stands i still dont want to drive, too dizzy and sore.
G: 7th of october  she will sooo kill you hahahaha!
-
yeah i didn't think you'd be too keen for the 7th of october. geez it nearly killed me waiting that long!!! i wouldn't wish it on anyone else LOL
my kids love those frozen dinosaur nuggets and potato gems. great dinner!!!
-
We went out for dinner tonight. K had chips and sauce with salad and then ice cream. I think she ate half a lettuce leaf, the rest of the meal was white (apart from the red sauce and brown topping). Vegie stirfry tomorrow night.
Cass - so glad you are on the mend, don't rush into anything, the girls room can stay messy for a few more days!!
MP - you are the best baby buddy
Arte - $2.99 bananas - WOW!! Not so wow about iron stains for 2 years.
-
Whenever I'm missing the bananas, I always think of that time in Little House on the Prairie when "Santa" had to ride through snow and ?flood waters? and the kids were all besides themselves with joy because they each got a stick of peppermint candy and a WHOLE ORANGE for christmas (!!!) Kinda puts it all in perspective LOL.
Cally, the kids meals at restaurants are often tragic. Not that we dine out, yannow, but I do have hazy memories...
Yeah, don't wait until October Arte. September folks are good folks. (*cheesy grin*)
-
Cass, is your friend still coming around today? I am sure she wouldn't mind popping out to the shop for some convenience foods for you
Cally, that is what I don't get about the McD's debate - doesn't matter if you go to a good restaurant or a takeaways, the kids meals are all chips and deep fry anyway! If they even eat any of it.
So not waiting until October! This is definitely the most uncomfortable pregnancy, although it has got a lot better in the last few days since she has moved from posterior and engaged. Before she was pressing on something and I could only lift my left leg a few inches - was making it very hard to get in the car!
-
Kids meals are hopeless aren't they - when we went on our lunch cruise she was offered the same meals as us and had a lovely piece of Atlantic Salmon - so much nicer than chicken and chips.
MD - glad I wasn't on the Prairie, not an orange fan at all.
-
MP: oh wow. thank you so much  your DH arrived a few mins ago and after he left i unpacked the beautiful food and had a bit of a teary. this is so wonderful; such a weight lifted off me, i have been struggling to find energy to cook (especially as the stocks are runniong low as DH did a boy shop (3 packets of tim tams and some white bread lol). your DH was so sweet as well, he told me that his mum had similar and was OK. that meant so much as i am freaking out about any long term issues (my knees have all swollen out today...so did a bit of a freak out :o).
Cally: oh babe, my kids for the last 4 days have eaten alot of white foods...the best bit was the tinned baked beans today lol.
