Jessey since both you and your DP have one parent with Blue eyes you both MUST have a blue eye gene even though you have brown eyes (hazel is a varient of brown). So your dad and your DP's mum are DEFINITELY where she got her blue eyes from (and you don't even have to stretch to grandparents to figure that one out). So with both of you having a blue gene you basically have a 50/50 chance of any of your children having blue eyes. So yes, I definitely believe you and I can give a lecture to your DP (or your mum perhaps?) about genetics if you'd like
