My day improved - DH came home and took over and Bailey immediately gave him smiles and giggles - LOL!!! Bridg you were dead right, I just needed to hand him to someone else, my own frustration and tiredness was just making it worse, Luckily DH finishes work at 3pm everyday. Amy I think you were spot on too, but I hadn't considered the tiredness as he'd had a THREE hour morning nap (this is unusually long) and a few cat naps, but I think he was just having a sleepy day - I think in the middle of a growth spurt in hindsight as had been feeding HEAPS yesterday... so needed some extra sleep

Frustrating to only work this out in hindsight - at the time logic goes out the window sometimes but hey, next time he has a day/afternoon like this I will be better equipped, this motherhood gig is a continued learning curve isn't it?

    DOH to me

Naomi- Yes logic does go out the window sometimes. Its all about trial and error too. Growth spurts can make them unhappy.

BG: Yes - that's the post-sneeze sigh! So cute
Yeah, probably best to book the shots for when you can chill out. I know that after Natty had her shots she was fine but I was a mess! I will make our appointment for just over a week. Not looking forward to it. I'm due for a pap smear as well - joy.
Bridg: Sorry for your crappy afternoon. I'm glad your DH was able to give you a bit of a break. Hope your evening improved.
Naomi: Great that Bailey settled for your DH. And awesome that he finishes work in time for arsenic hour! Sometimes there just is no logic to a baby crying, I reckon. Its just an emotional or instinctive thing. I've heard babies sometimes cry in order to wind down, LOL! Its anyone's guess really.

I'm keen to peg out my washing but Phoebe has other ideas. She's napping on my chest. Every time I lie her down she wakes. Her nose is very blocked. She sneezed before and I would never have believed so much green snot could fit in such a tiny nose! I have fessed her a couple of times but no use. Ah well. I should enjoy the tiny baby cuddles while I can I suppose!
