Hi girls
Thanks so much for tar support on wednesday... Cardiologist is fairly sure it is an innocent murmur, we ace an ECG in may and then a follow up to be sure but what a relief. I was so worried we were about to jump on an awful roller coaster...
Ange - been thinking ofbyou.. How is Lu?
Ginger - yay for the friend! Not sure re the leg... Can he walk ok? Anything more specific.? Hard when they complain but nothing is obvious...
Mum had an op yesterday so took the day of to look after her... Exhausted! She is doing well though
Cally - hugs re work... Hope today was better

Ginger, I would probably send him anyway, most likely he will forget as soon as he sees the playground. W complains of the odd sore thing but when I ask a few minutes later it has usually migrated!

MP, glad to hear everything is alright with the murmur.

A went down for a second nap this afternoon (unheard of!) and has been asleep for almost an hour (doubly unheard of!!). Jinxed it, there she goes lol. Guessing tonight won't be an early one.

Arte: Marta is also a "power" napper. yesterday at kindy she left for OVER an hour :o. she never does that with me lol.

*snap* with the pain in kids lol. it is really hard to tell if Leila is actually sore or not as she loves the melodrama :)

MP: oh phew! what a relief. did they say that this is something to be aware of he gets into competitive sport or something?

AFM: well i had a LOVELY morning meeting up with tashybabe for a coffee and a snack at the block arcade (opposite Haighs MD!!). but then it was followed by a really scary train moment where i had opened the door to get off the train and popped leila on the platform and gone to carry the pram off, when the doors started to close!! this station has a HUGE gap and really really high drop to the platform and i dont know, but i guess adrenaline kicked in and somehow i managed with one hand to hold the pram from rolling through the door (that was closing!) and haul leila back off the platform onto the train (no mean feat considering the distance from the train). and then watch as we were hauled to the next station...far out i have never been so frightened! i really had this vision of marta and i being squashed between the doors or dragged and/or leila being left at the station without us. thankfully the next station wasnt too far and we were able to walk back. but NEVER again. i know we werent the first to have this happen to. there has been alot of protest about that station as a little girl last year was separated from her mum and baby (but she was ON the train while mum was on the platform which i reckon is scarier).

omg cass! that would've completely freaked me out! is L ok? how scarey!

i ended up taking L to kinder and he was fine. i think he may have just wanted to stay here in front of our roaring fire watching our new foxtel HD LOL

Sounds like you still need those adjustable waist bands for K Cally. do they make them in bigger sizes? Tears at work is never fun. Poor you.

Far out Cass- They sounds horrifying. Did anyone help or they all just stood there with their mouths open gawking at you??

MP- Lu is much better thanks. She's still a bit sick and a bit miserable but the parasite are under control so that's the main thing. Good news about the heart murmur.

G- L is a smart boy, foxtel and fire sounds good! In all seriousness, if he starts limping or can't put weight on it you need to take him to the drs. I never know if L is making it up or night but it seems she has a pin in the stomach every second day. I just ignore it now unless she keeps complaining! mean mum! :p

I am as tired as a tired thing, but DH slept with L last night so i could get some sleep so feeling a little more human today. Although i ave come to the conclusion i am just a grumpy cow when pregnant. I hate people touching me, i don't like being asked too many questions by DH or the kids. I don't want to see anyone. What a grumpy old mole i am! :p

:hug: I'm a grumpy old mole at the moment too, although I'm not sure if it's IL-related, or something to do with this menopausal not-a-period I'm having at the moment. Or maybe I just need a good ****? :lol:

I'm a grump when I am pregnant too. I kicked A out of the bed and weaned her because I just can't have them hanging off me all the time atm.

Thanks for the hugs, it's an external company I'm dealing with, hopefully things will improve significantly after next week when the thing we've been working towards kicks off (fingers crossed)

JM - the adjustable waistbands only come with the jeans or similar stiff pants - K spends most of winter in tracky pants, I don't think she can have as much fun in stiff jeans at day care.

MP - so glad that N is OK for now.

JM, that was one thing my DH always hated about me being pg was that I turned into such a moody ***** and it worried him to the point where he was quite reluctant to go ahead with TTCing A because of it :hug: But it was always at it's worst if I hadn't had enough sleep, so with everything you're dealing with atm, it's no wonder you are a tad tetchy ;)

Cally, are you a fan of those jegging things they do for girls? They seem to be a lot thicker than regular leggings, but are cut small enough that they should fit her. I totally know what you mean though because I always have the same problem with P and A with trackies. However this year Targets seem to be designed a bit better and A can actually wear the size he needs instead of wearing the smaller size and letting it hang low on his waist LOL.

Well I was right about him getting P's cold. When I picked him up from preschool his teacher said that he was really quiet and almost lethargic for the last hour of the day and I told her what I thought and she agreed because she said he normally isn't like that at all. We get home at 5 and he was asleep before 6 and he's only just woken up. I tried to give him nurofen in a fruit box, but he coughed, gagged and threw it up.

ETA - Cass, I just checked out your FB pics and OMG how much does M look like your Mum? They have the exact same colouring!

As i was dressing Lu in some leggins tonight i thought of you Cally, comfy, fitted and practical! I say load up on leggings. :)

Arte on the same day a friend of mine also locked her bub in the car (by accident of course), her bub is only a few months old and she wasn't stranded on an isolated road though. So glad the insurance is paying.

Cally I hope that the work issues are sorted soon. I think leggings might be the way to go too.

Trill I thought the same thing about Cass's M looking like Cass's mum. Good for you getting back into netball too, I would love to play again.

Cass that must have been so scary today, I remember when I was babysitting once and the front of the pram dropped down the gap between train and platform I think my heart stopped.

AFM all good here just busy as usual. L has gone back to not doing poo's in the toilet but is waking up mostly dry in the morning and even taking his nappy off first thing and going to the toilet so going to see how he goes nappy free at night this weekend. I have 2 questions for those with boys, when does their foreskin retract and should I be checking or anything?? Also when do they stand to pee? L stands in the shower (such a boy lol) and has started standing at the toilet occasionly (but wee goes everywhere) but still mostly likes to sit to wee.

Cally & JM - Leggins all the way I say!!!! Hehehe, they are great for girls. Loving the new 'jeggings' too, so much more comfy for them.

JM - Dont worry you are allowed to be a moody cow, pregnancy is hard work and so tiring! I was a horrible person at times while pregnant, poor DH copped it a few times lol. I am still a grumpy cow, but thats just sleep deprivation! Also how is L going, she looked so sad and unwell in those pics.

Ginger - Just saw on FB that you are at the hospital with L. Hope he is better soon!

Cass - How scary! I hope someone jumped up to help or ask if you are ok?

I'm still at the hospital, waiting for test results. Lewis is sleeping. He still has a high fever. Poor little monkey :(

Cass, forgot to say OMG at the train incident! Far out that would have been scary! Is there anyone that you can complain to about the station? Sounds dangerous.

Oz, their foreskin wont retract till about 5/6yo. When L was nearly 6 I did it for him just to see if it would as we'd not tried yet, but there was no problems with it going back. So I showed him how he needed to do that to wash himself (just splashing the water over it - no need to use soap or anything because the bath water was already soapy) and it's fine, he washes it every night no worries. With the standing to wee part, some will start doing it earlier than others. L was probably 6ish when he started because he had a bad experience with standing to wee when TTing and it made a huge mess which freaked him out so he always sat down. A ill sit down if he is on the toilet, but if he is outside he will stand up to wee with mixed results LOL.

i'm here hayley, he's still really sick, not eating or drinking much. we're at home. taking him to peadeatrition at 9am tomorrow morning
