Hi girls!

Sherie: oh man, Marta is like a mini-mum :o it's so super crazy lol. and mum is a freaky resemblance to her mum. there is this one pic of when they were both 16 and you can't tell whose who...crazy.

G: :hug: it must be really hard watching L so sick like that.

JM: and how is little Lu going?

Cally: we love leggings in this house. although have to sheepishly admit that yeah, her leggings look more like tracky-dacks as she is so tiny haha. i had a pair of size 1 jeggings on her at kmart the other day, but they were still too big :o (so i didnt bother buying them, i took a stand lol).

Oz: poo was the last man standing in our TT journey. she had a great start but temporarily went back to poo in the nappy. it was so gross...when you know how good it is to NOT clean a toddler nappy it's so hard going back :rofl:

AFM: all good here. still have the momentary heart palpitation about the train incident. and no, of course, no one helped :rolleyes:. although to their credit, they probably didnt see/get what was happening straight away until it was all happening IYKWIM. at the next stop though 2 people helped me :) (and then proceeded to tell me about a 2 year old that got left on a train last year as mum was getting baby off with the pram and the doors shut. poor mum! kid was picked up half hour down the line. i would of FREAKED and become a screaming banshee.

G, I hope L is feeling better soon xx

MD, how much longer do you have IL's for? I find a week is a good time, after that it all gets a bit scratchy.

I have just discovered leggings! I got A a pair because I didn't know what else they wear with tunic type jerseys? Anyhow, I put some on her today and she is adorable!

Arte, not entirely sure. DH just left for 2+ weeks out in oodnawhoopwhoop and apparently they will still be here when he gets back. :rolleyes: However I am determined to make the most out of it so MIL is cooking roast chicken tomorrow night and I'm pretty sure she'll be doing some of my laundry too :lol: Meanwhile, it's making qual time with my uni books even scarcer...

Cally commisserations on the crying at work episode (that was me a couple of weeks back) however I think I am about to redeem myself with some nifty work this week so all good. Take the long view :hug:

Arte how are things with you, a few days further on? Any new strategies on the sleep front?

Cass that's terrible, I think I would still be having residual panic attacks too. I hope you've put it all in writing to the train company, the minister responsible AND your local member too. I had a bus-driver's butt kicked last week when he got off to roll and smoke a fag while I was waiting for the bus to continue on its way :lol: Am in a complainin' mood this week ;) Share the love...

Hot date was fantastic! There's a lovely cafe near us so we had dinner and a very nice bottle of vino (and I had one of those desserts where 3 tiny but exquisite different things come out on one plate) and afterwards we went to see Limitless - very interesting premise, quite a clever film. Cannot express how good it was to get out for once!!!

G that sounds nasty, is it a virus or are they unsure? Hope tomorrow you can sort him out.

Arte - Leggings are the best. You can also put them under denim skirts etc. M lives in them during winter.

Cass - I can so imagine how you are feeling, that would be your worst nightmare getting separated on a train :(

MD - Hope the in laws dont give you too much hassle. Definately take advantage hehe! YAY for date night! Sounds lovely

G, how is L today? I hope he's picked up some. Good luck at the Dr's with him.

I am soo writing a written complaint! thanks for the tip about the minister! i knew that it would fall on deaf ears to the train company (ahhh privatisation). but i still wanted it on record ITMS. i will also be writing to the local rag.

AFM: all good here! no complaints! well, actually have a big one in that i have just been informed that Leila may not get her 4 year old kinda spot as they promised as i am no longer a student :(. i have put her down everywhere now, but have been told that she will most likely not get anything....i am quietly panicking in a corner here. she loves it so so much, how would i explain that to her???!!!

As for Leila's kindy, well they have to offer me a spot...it's just that our area is HUGE and it could be in excess of an hours drive away in peak hour city traffic. not conducive to family felicity lol.

md- they are not too sure about the leg soreness- think it could've been caused by aches and pains associated with the tonsilitis? they x rayed it and found nothing. the leg is no longer sore now so i guess it's just something to keep an eye on. he has lost so much weight as he has had nothing to eat since friday morning. we are getting a referal to a sleep apnea specialist?

cass- an hour's drive to kindy! geez by the time you get home you'll have to turn around and come back to pick her up! crazy! mine is a 3 minute drive :) i love it

G, sometimes if their tonsils are inflamed it can block their airways and make them snore like no tomorrow, so they probably just want to make sure it's not interfering with his sleep. And he will pack the weight back on in no time once he's well.

Cass, fingers crossed you get a place close to home then!

Not much news here, looking forward to Aus. There are a couple of *****es making my life difficult here. I thought that crap finished in high school. Nothing against other LTTTC and people who can't have babies.... BUT this cow here who can't have kids, has an issue with me being pregnant i think. When i said i was pregnant, she said to me "Oh, where do you find the time?" WTF? who says that?! Since i have been UTD, she invites everyone to functions she organises EXCEPT me! If someone else says anything she says "Oh, i didn't call her, i thought she'd be tired?!" or "Oh i forgot" :wall: She's a passive aggressive cow......... I'm sorry she can't have kids, but taking out her issues on me is bull****. *deep breath* Rant over. :p

JM - Oh that sucks what a mean thing for her to do. I can imagine she is pretty devo that she cant have kids and it would be hard seeing other ladies fall pregnant with no problem, so I can understand to an extent (as I'm sure you can too), but the way she is going about the whole situation is not right. When are you coming back to Aus and is it for good?

Trill - Thanks for asking, I am so much better this week. The whole 'breastfeeding going down the wrong track' got me so down. But things have improved greatly so I feel happier. Only thing is I dont get any one on one time with poor E, M is so on the go and wanting my attention constantly. I had some beautiful cuddles with E late last night, she is absolutely gorgeous, I just dont have the time to even realise it if that makes sense. Hopefully with time M wont be so full on and I can enjoy E as well.

G - Ouch tonsilitis is nasty. I am glad its nothing worse, the whole pain in the leg was a worry as its not like a common symptom of an 'everyday' kind of child illness iykwim? Was wondering what could have caused it.

Cass - Wow an hours drive is a bit of a pain! I'm with G on this one, M's is a few mins drive away and its so so easy.

For all you online shoppers, has anyone come across a cute little white dress anywhere? I have E's christening coming up and I'm on the hunt for a dress.

Yeah Isa- I do understand that it would be hard for her. That's why i quietly told her about being preg and havn't made a big deal out it. I never talk about. But when there are only 8 expat women here and i'm the only one excluded, it makes for a pretty miserable time. I used to feel sorry for her but tbh, i don't now. Maybe i'm just a pregnant hormonal intolerant cow! :p

H, check out googoogear - it's an aus site I came across when I was looking for flowergirl dresses for my girls a few years ago but they are the whole shebang - really long and elaborate so they may not be what you're after if you just want simple. But I have also noticed my local Myer stock white dresses that would be perfect for a baptism as well. Spending time with the new bub is always a bit tricky at first. Does M go to day care or preschool/kinder? That is always a good time to make sure you get your one on one time with bubs. Or you can get M to have a day with Daddy or something? I'm so pleased that things are settling down for you - I'm really proud of you for making it work with E :hug:

JM thats crap!! Do the other women know what her game is? Surely they must realise that she is a bitter and sad woman who is deliberately excluding you? Sounds like she needs a reality check - it's not your fault you can get pg easily any more than it's her fault that she can't.

Good tip I learned from my old nanny ( who had 6 boys) is put a pingpong ball in the loo for them to aim at...I haven't doe tat yet and Noah does a good job but might do it soon
