Alison - just on your frustration with DH, totally understand! I would be the same. Maybe you could drive to the airport, as Willow suggested? Otherwise, I think BS's approach works. Men don't usually respond to emotional threats, if you know what I mean. Us women are fuelled by emotions (and hormones right now!) and men are usually much more 'tell it like it is'. So, if you sit down and speak to him without showing anger etc, and reason with him, you may get a better response?
This is so something you don't need right now!!
Willow - thanks for the info on the nappies. I'm always threatening to try some so may investigate! How is baby Harry today?
Hannah - LOL on the poo talk. Isn't it funny how things change? Glad you've got a solution though, must take a weight off your mind. Or should that be shoulders? Baby brain!
I'm really interested in this Dunstan Baby Language. If I get time today I'll look it up. I remember seeing that woman on Oprah years ago and always thinking I'd use it when I had a baby. Clever stuff.
Lilyzara - how did you go last night with the little one?
Everyone else - hugs to you all!
ATM - Jack is sleeping a lot lately. I even rang mum asking what was wrong with him, but it seems he's very healthy and just wants to sleep. Maybe he's growing or something.
Oh, and I can't remember if I've asked you guys this before, but how long is your average feed? Since birth Jack has been a five-minute feeder. It's a really long feed it it goes for 7 minutes. I must admit thought that he gulps and gulps and gulps, which makes people laugh when they hear it. I used to worry because I thought it was too short but he is certainly putting on weight (6.3kg!!) and has plenty of wet and pooey nappies. Plus he's a happy bubby. But it just seems so quick!
One of the magazine houses just called asking if I'd do a late notice job for them - I love being able to do this stuff from home. Makes it so easy. I'll be on throughout the day. Gotta run!! xx
