Hi Lani - yay Jett for going 8 hours, he's such a good boy.
Hi Suz - we have missed you heaps but sounds like you had a lovely break, good on you! Go you for only having 3 kgs to lose that's fantastic, I have about 6 or 7 kgs to lose My feeding is pretty much the same as before, my supply hasn't increased although my fault, I keep forgetting to take the Fenugreek 3 times a day, it's hard to remember anything let alone that. Must get better at it. I'm seeing the OB tomorrow for my check up now he's back from leave so I might ask him about the Motiliam (sp?) - I should give the natural ones a good go first. Amelia feeds about 10 mins each side and then she has 120 mls of formula, I'm onto 6 feeds a day with her last feed around 9.30 pm give or take half an hour. As for the pram, DH came home with some cash from a job he did the other day and said I can go buy the pram I want! I still feel guilty though considering the one I have is new and there's nothing wrong with it, I just want a different one LOL....what a pram snob huh! I have my eye on the Steelcraft Strider Plus as it has a toddler attachment. Has a $650 pricetag however Considering I spent $400 on the other one I feel like it's such a waste but even Paul said this morning to Amelia, we're going to give you a brother or sister and I was like WTF!!!!! ha ha, steady on boy steady on. Guess I'll be needing that toddler seat after all then! DH has the attitude, if you want it buy it because he's been financially comfortable for a few years thanks to working his butt off, whereas I come from a single parent household, had a mortgage on my own etc so have the thought process of not wasting money. But I still want it so have to decide don't I!!!!!!
AFM - Well we had our 2nd 8 hour night in a row and am stoked! I do find I still wake a couple of times expecting her to wake up though, can't win LOL. I think we'll have to try her in her cot tonight, she's gotten too big for the bassinette, this morning she was sideways in it with her head and feet touching either side! I feel sad about going to the cot, hope she doesn't mind it! She's cheeky during the day though, she falls asleep on you easily but the minute you put her down she opens her eyes! She's on DH's chest atm and he moved so she opened her eyes, so he was still there and shut them again!!!! Oh and the girl from work that I have spoken about a lot (the one who complains a lot) had her baby last night. How weird is this, so similar to my story, she was due on the 29th, had her on the 30th (same as me), born at 10.16 pm (Amelia was 10.26 pm), 3.2 kgs (Amelia 3.5 kgs), 51 cms (Amelia 52 cms) and guess what, she also had to have a c-section in the end as she wasn't dialating!!!!!! So bizarre. The crack up is though, she text me this morning and she's already complaining that she only got 1 hours sleep last night and the nurses are noisy......hee hee - get used to it! She had the same OB as me and same hospital, I can just see the nurses trying to change shifts, she will be a nightmare! She called her daughter Georgia Kaitlyn, quite a girlie name considering her herself is quite tomboy, she hates pink too ha ha. DH thinks it's a weird choice given her husband's name is George, he said it would be like us calling Amelia Pauline (his name is Paul). Anyway, I have the OB tomorrow for my check up now he's back from holi's and he's across from the hospital so I'll go see her. I bet Amelia will look huge against a newborn!!!!
How is everyone else going, do you find the days all melt into one? I used to look forward to weekends, now I have to ask what day it is ha ha!
