Hi Rose I'm jealous of all the TTCing too, I have to keep reminding myself that if I was to try for one more and conceived and got as sick as I did with Harry that it's just not feasible at all I couldn't work for 5 months and I would have no leave this time round to cover it, and there is no way I could look after a toddler in that state So I'm pretty much out of the game for good now
Hi Hannah Sh*t poor Amelia It's funny DS1 always slept in my bed never in a cot he hated it, and he never fell off. I honestly don't know how??? I do remember though that by the age ours are now he knew to back up to the edge and get down, I'm trying to show Harry that every morning but he isn't grasping it yet. DS1 was walking at 9 months though so maybe that helped him with other skills like that, I don't know? Harry fell out of bed a month or so back, while I was in there I had fed him and fallen asleep and then heard "thud" he cried a little but I think because he was asleep and rolled out (he moves a lot in is sleep) he was floppy and relaxed so a quick cuddle and he went straight back to sleep. I've now got a spare cot mattress with a couple of small book shelves under it to lift it to the height of our bed so he can't roll out while he's asleep, but I'm looking for bed rails too. Luckily I can put him down in his cot for day sleeps because the constant checking doesn't make for too much productive stuff getting done while they're down. I worry a bit about the bed rails being too low IYKWIM so they might stand, lean over and fall out that way. So I'm being really fussy looking for the highest longest ones I can find. I think I'm going to have to order them online, I really wanted to just get them from a shop and take them home to use ASAP but no luck finding any. I guess if all else fails our mattress can just go on the floor until he works out how to dismount without injury
Well Harry's lump is shrinking pretty quickly, and the bruise is already yellowing so it seems to be healing up nicely his eye was a little blacker today only a tiny bit and some came up on the inside corner (near his nose) so he must have landed more on his face than I first though, I shudder when I think about it!
I'm off to see if I can get some reading done before the next boob call.
