Hi Girls!
Yay BS that's awesome, I'm sooo jealous ha ha. I love staying home with Amelia, it's the best job in the world! It doesn't pay in money, but it definitely pays in enjoyment. How's the TTC'ing going? Can't believe they're coming up for their first birthdays already! What are you doing for Eva's birthday? I'm about to send out Amelia's invites as well, she's having a Waybuloo theme and will be wearing purple like Lau Lau, I have the cutest purple tutu skirt, highly inappropriate to crawl around in but oh well!
I started work on Monday and while I survived I found it very emotionally tough! I'm sure it will get easier, at least I'm hoping so. It was lovely to see everyone and they were all really happy to see me, a couple of the guys even ran up and gave me a hug but I just felt so out of place, like I didn't belong anymore. I cried in the morning while getting ready, I just didn't want to leave. I spent the whole day going through 3400 emails (1 year's worth). The girl who's technically doing my job is nice but she's definitely a go getter, she's only 28 still and because she's just been made senior admin assistant I think she's got her sights set on higher things. I think I'm just finding it strange seeing her sitting in my office while I sit at a cubicle outside that office, hearing her talk to people about things I used to talk about etc etc.....meanwhile I'm sitting there thinking that I'm likely to get all the crap that the junior that used to assist me used to do ha ha. Oh well, if they want to pay me a senior wage for doing crap that's their problem, but it definitely doesn't interest me long term and I still have the intention of resigning in December when my boss leaves. I'm supposed to have worked from home yesterday but our IT department stuffed up and I couldn't log onto the system so didn't end up doing anything. Mind you, my boss still hasn't told me exactly what I'm going to be doing yet! At one point the girl comes up to me and says, do you need anything to do? I know she didn't mean anything by it but the way it came out all I wanted to say was......well for starters I created that job you're sitting in, secondly I'm not your lacky and thirdly I don't really care ha ha ha. It's my issue not hers and she is really nice, good on her, she has a great job, I just don't want it anymore! I take my hat off to those of you who are enjoying being back at work, for me it just reiterated how much I enjoy being an at home mum. I did enjoy getting into my work clothes again, eating sushi for lunch and enjoying a nice "hot" hot chocolate from the coffee machine but otherwise I am more than happy to stay home and look after Amelia. Next year I'll work for DH anyway so that will give me a balance without having to hack into the city on a packed train! In saying all this, I did survive the day and it probably wasn't as bad as I'm making it sound ha ha. Oh and DH had such a lovely time with Amelia, because it was our wedding anniversary on Monday (2 years) he took her to the shops, along with a sandwich so they sat at the foodhall and had lunch just the two of them and then bought me some lovely flowers and a card, he picked me up from the train station and had them in the car for me, was so nice as I had been feeling so down all day. I've never cuddled Amelia so much as I did that day when I got home hee hee. But she slept well for him, 2 hours in the morning and another 1.5 hours in the arvo - typical! I was even impressed that he managed to dress her in a matching outfit lol! How rude am I. So, next week I'm doing Tuesday in the office and Wednesday from home, plus I might do an extra day to make up for yesterday's failed effort.
So Amelia is now pulling herself to standing - better late than never, she's the last in my mums group hee hee so it's time to baby proof all the tv cabinets and coffee tables etc. She looks so tall when she's standing, but so cute too. She's been sleeping so well this past week and I'll probably jinx myself but it's great as that week we had recently was tough. She's been sleeping 11 hours without a sound and having good day naps, gosh it makes a difference. I'm sure when the next tooth appears it will turn to crap again but in the meantime I'm enjoying it!
How is everyone else going? Anyone else going to have another bub soon? One of the guys at my work's wife is due again in December and their first baby will only be 18 months old! But, she is a year older than me so I can understand the need for getting another out quickly ha ha.
So is everyone busy planning 1st birthday parties?

Hello all!
Alison - Glad to hear the first day back went relatively well. I got a bit funny too seeing someone else in my desk doing my job. And good to hear Amelia's sleeps are improving too. I fear Michael is going through another bad day sleep phase. He was going really well for a couple of weeks there too :( No plans for another bub for us yet...tho I am soooooo clucky and would love to be preggers again soon. But we're thinking to have another when Michael is 3...so thats 1.5 years till we try again. Seems so far away, but I bet it will be here before we know it. You still on track to start trying at the end of the year? Yes, busy planning his party here. Got invites designed & printed, trying to work on some decorations and stuff too. I'm really looking forward to it, only thing is there's gonna be about 50 ppl at our house, so its gonna be a bit squishy. Awww...I bet Amelia will look adorable in her little tutu! Cuuuute!
BS - Oh you're so lucky to get to be a stay at home mum for a while longer! Thats fantastic! I wish I could. I feel like I've got the whole interacting with adults thing out of my system...now I just want to stay home and be with my little boy :( Oh well. Oooh...what are you planning for Eva's party?
Willow - Harry's not alone, Michael's not talking either...doesn't seem even close. Waaaah ! I wanna hear Mummy!!!!!
Lani - Haha, enjoy your little gummy bear! I miss mine sooo much! I love his smiles now, but I dunno...there was something so much more babyish about his gummy smile. Gosh, sounds like work is a whole new experience for you. Has it got any better? I guess if you're not happy you need to say something, you don't want to make yourself suffer if you don't have to.
Rose - that is FANTASTIC news about your dad! And I'm glad you're coping with the fibro ok too  I can't believe Liam is saying words like that....WOW! Thats cool, I can't wait for Michael to!
Hello to all my other lovelies!
AFM - Not much to report really, things going along relatively well at the moment. His cough has disappeared which is brilliant. He's walking a bit more with his walker, but not close to doing it on his own.
In full party-planning mode atm. I've just got his invites printed and they look FAB! For those who dont' know, I"m doing a Forest/Woodland theme, with a hedgehog cake, owl on the invite, cupcakes iced to look like red/white mushrooms, chocolate bird nests and a few other things I"m thinking about. Hunting high and low for brown tissue paper to make some leaves out of, but I can't find any. GRRR!

Hi girls
BS YAY! I wish I could be a SAHM too :(
When you said some news...I thought omg first cycle TTC and she's pg! lol But staying home with Eva is awesome news too.
Alison Glad you survived work, I think I'll be the same as you when I go back (on the 15th Nov I think :( ) I'm sure I'll be blubbering all the way. Hang in there for next year!
Beany I think Harry may have a word, it's not clear but when he sees the dogs he says "dos" DP is sure he's saying dogs, I'm not convinced though :p he's definitely communicating with us just not with actual words as we know them. Won't be long and we'll be wishing they'd be quiet for 30 seconds lol
Harry has a cold at the moment (thanks to his big brother for sharing) So he's been even more clingy than usual which I didn't think was possible hehe. Sleeping hasn't improved so I'm just plodding along, but I am wondering how I'm going to go when I have to go to work, and that's fast approaching, 3 and a bit weeks OMG! :( I spoke to them last week and they were having trouble finding work for me (long story) They actually asked if I would like to have extra time off, until next year, I'd love to but I'm out of leave and really need to start having the extra money come in. I still haven't heard back from them so I am very nervous about what they are going to try and have me doing.
Hi to everyone :hello: hope all is well, I'm off to try catch some sleep before my next call, for snot clean up and boob.
-
I forgot to mention last night, on the same track as talking and words. Harry 'meows' when he sees the cat, very cute he doesn't say 'meow' he makes the noise IYKWIM. :D

Aw man, I'm crazy behind yet again. I keep on forgetting to check BB!
Kind of jealous of those of you who are TTC again. Even though I know I probably couldn't cope with being pregnant and having a toddler, I'd still kind of like to be pregnant again. Gah. But we're probably not going to think about it until Liam is 2.
Things are doing fairly well here. Liam's sleep has settled down again mostly since his top two teeth popped through. I'm pretty sure that he's on his way to dropping his morning nap, since his sleeps have been all over the place. I hope it means that he'll extend his afternoon nap a bit, but eh, can't really complain when he's sleeping at night.
Dad's still doing well - he's trying to gain weight right now so he has some reserves for his next rounds of chemo. At the moment, it looks like he'll be in China for most of December, home for the holidays and then back in China again. Someone asked a way back as to why he's getting treatment there. There's actually amazing treatment available at the hospital he goes to - they have a massive oncology wing with tonnes of different treatments available - chemo and radiotherapy, as well as a whole bunch of other treatments - Dad's had chemo, a light therapy thing, high frequency ultrasound, brachytherapy (radioactive pellets inserted into the tumours) and now stem cell treatment as well. The chemo drug he's getting now is brand new - it hasn't gone into human trials yet, but all of the animal studies have been amazing (and Dad's reaction is, too!). Dad was pronounced terminal by his oncologist here three years ago and given 1-2 years. And now we're looking at remission being a very real possibility. It's kind of amazing.
I'm doing okay, too. Need to probably go and see my doctors, though, since I'm feeling generally not great, but I'm putting it off.

Hey everyone, just a quicky before I go to bed!
I am so wpied with having Eva home sick all week and man is she clingy - she just cries until we pick her up - she does not want to see us or have us near, she wants to be ON US. It is a bit tiring and getting anything done is pretty impossible...The SAHM thing is over...I thought about it and can't do it, not because I don't want to, but because I really feel like I am being unstable pulling her out for only two months then sticking her back in. She has such a hard time getting back to the swing of things and I cannot put her through that again. Also, I get nothing done when I am home, the lack of adult contact is difficult for me, and I get resentful with DH ruining our evenings and not wanting romance and all that. I would love to be homle with her all the time, but I need to get dressed up in the morn, and get out and have at least an hour to work out every day ....I am TTC and scared of weight gain and need to have time to take care of myself. I feel like I am being selfish, but me being tired and unhappy makes eva stressed. I just don't want her in a house where I am resentful and sad.
DH and I agreed that I would still take the two months off of work - drop her off around 930am, work out, shop, cook etc...then pick her up at 2:30pm, that way she only has lunch and morning play and one nap at daycare. She loves daycare - apart from the crying for three seconds until I leave she is one of the happiest babies there, they love her and say she is easy and non fussy....also, she never eats well at home...and at daycare eats her proper meals for some reason. I am not sure why but I have this feeling in my gut that the structure does her good. DH was complaining about her getting sick and I told him better now than later...When we start our next project I won't be able to just take time off every time she is sick, you know. The whole thing was eating away at me and I felt selfish for feeling this way but finally I really feel in my gut that this is the right thing to do. if I was taking a year off then ok, but for two months I believ it would do more harm than good...so there. I am trying to drop the guilty feelings now, but it will take time. It is so hard because I don't "know" what is "best" for her... and I want her to be happy. I am just confused but am following my instinct.
Alison, I know it is wierd to go back but it gets easier - the first few weeks back for me were rough....but like you said if dec is when you're stopping, do it, we all have different feelings about these things...I saw the new piccies of Amelia, she just went grew up, didn't she???!!!! something in her face became little girl all of a sudden! I can't wait to see pics from the bday :)
Beany, your theme sounds so cool! I finally decided not to do much - Her bday is on a friday, so we will have a cake around 4 (fruit time) - do the whole blowing of the candles and photos and all that. I was going to plan a nice lunch on sunday but honestly with this sale of the company, I have no energy. On top of that I am not sure I want to stress her with too many people in the house, although she deals well with lots of people and does not stress (I think it is me who is just tired)...We will have the whole family, plus my brother who is in Europe at the mo, plus one of my besties coming in for the WE, so there will be like 10 people anyway. I will dress her up super cute and we'll take photos and she already knows how to blow for the candle (she learned this from me blowing on her bum to dry it or when she had diaper rash a little while ago, and has gotten good at blowing, so I think she might manage the candle, but we'll see - she might just spit on the cake ), so we will do it more for the keepsake and photos - at her age I doubt she will remember, so next year I'll do something awesome :)
Rose, glad to hear you father is doing better...fattening one's self up is def more fun than treatment and I hope all goes well. The latest pics of liam in the shower are so cute!
Willow, I wish that was my news :) The prob is I have PCOS so very scarce periods when off the pill, so I don't know when I am preg...I am just waiting for symptoms, although if I am not in the next two weeks I am going to the doc to get back on chlomid (which I prefer not to since the side effects are rough...) That is so cute the meowing. I think in their heads they are saying the right words but it does not come out like that...If I ask eva show me a dog, or show me a cat she will point to the right animal but if I say CAT, she says TK...and she calls almost everything dog, but if I ask, where is the _____ she can point out the right thing...so I am sure his communication is coming...I think it just takes time to make their mouths do what the head wants. Good luck with work...keeping my fingers crossed all goes well.
Eva is doing great, just home sick again, which is why DH got annoyed and wanted me to pull her out of daycare....she seems to be teething because her finger is constantly rubbing her upper gums. She is eating NOTHING. she will only have some cheese cubes and her milk on most days. Sometimes she will munch on a tiny piece of bread, but I feel like it is more for her gums than anything...She is losing weight but I am sure it will be f ine once the teeth come in...
For the TTC, just waiting for something...I hate PCOS - I don't even have a TWW - it is more like a forever wait until something happens...Needless to say very frustrating :(
DH and I are getting the romance on though and that is really nice.
Kisses to you all and sorry if I missed everyone, I read often but once I get to post, I have a hard time scrolling back too much etc.
xoxo

Hi Rose Good on your dad for not just accepting what the doctors here told him and looking elsewhere himself for an alternative! I think too many people just believe blindly in what a doctor says just because they are a doctor, and look how well it's worked for him. That's awesome! Don't forget to look after you though too before you get to feeling too crappy.
Liam's video on fb is so cute I showed DP and he said how cute he was, but also said "why doesn't Harry do that?!" Harry still hates to have his nappy changed or get dressed or undressed, it's a fight, he screams kicks twists and if he can bolts, it really is exhausting and turns what should be a one minute nappy change into a ten minute ordeal.
Hi BS Good luck with this cycle then and fingers crossed you don't have to go on the Clomid :crossfingers: If your gut is telling you to leave Eva in day care then that's what you should do, I'm a firm believer in following your gut!
As for the talking Harry also knows what everything is and you're right it's just a matter of their brain putting it together so it all comes out right :) He pays more attention to things than we thought too. He likes to look at his books and he has one with just pictures of food there's a picture of 3 biscuits and when we get to that page he looks at the biscuits then points to a picture on the wall that has 3 tiles with a flower in each one, then shows us an ornament with 3 tree frogs on it. So he remembers form us counting the flowers and the frogs and knows they are the same. Although whenever he sees the picture of the rubber duck in another book he turns and points to my nose! lol I can't work out the connection there, unless he thinks I have a nose like a duck's bill lol
Well Harry's up now so I better go :hello: to everyone hope all is well :D
Oh and BS I thought it was a requirement that they had to spit on their 1st birthday cake! right before they squish it all over their face
-
Hello girls!
Willow - how is Harry's cold? I think Michael is just coming down with another one today (this will be his 6th cold). Still hopeful its not, but I guess I'll find out soon enough. Haha, thats great Harry is meow-ing! close enough to a word I guess!
Rose - was lovely to see you again last week! Liam is just fantastic, he has such a personality! A real cutie :) Wow, thats interesting about China having such better treatment than here, so happy your dad could be in remission soon!
BS - I hope Eva is feeling better now, poor little mite, she's had her fair share of illness, hasn't she? I think thats great that you're finding a good balance with Eva being in care. TBH, even if I wasn't working I"d like Michael to go to his daycare at least one day a week because he gets so much out of it. And you're so right...you need to look after yourself too, the last thing any of you need is for you to be suffering and not feeling right. Then everyone suffers. You have to look after yourself - and definitely follow your instincts, they are so important.
Hello to all my lovelies!
AFM - Things seem to be going along ok for the moment, tho I do suspect a possible cold looming (in Michael), but we'll see. Work is going really well, I'm enjoying the work...but finding I'm missing him more and more. I sometimes sit at my desk and daydream about things he did the day before...or stare at my desktop background (which is a picture of him). Nicola, Michael's carer, loves him to bits and always compliments us on how well behaved he is.
Just working on some decorations for Michaels birthday, I"m making leaves out of crepe paper to scatter on the table. I'm rather enjoying making the decorations!
Just wondering....has anyone tried those tummy-minimising knickers? I'm thinking of getting some to suck my potbelly in a bit for summer. I'm ashamed to say I'm a bit embarrased to buy them

:hello: Hi Girls!!!!
It took me so long to get back on to BB after the last server upgrade that I keep forgetting to come back here now. Even though I miss you girls I still feel up to date thanks to fb. Loving all the pics and videos. I've been busy sewing a patchwork quilt for my neice/nephew due in March (my little bro's first bub) and the sewing machine calls so I will come back later for persies.
Apart from doing some renos to our house and my getting an abcess under 2 of my teeth (so painful), our big news is that I've had AF twice now since Ryan was born so I've stopped taking the mini pill and we are now 'not preventing' pregnancy. If I'm not pregnant by the time Ryan's 18 months old then I'll start charting, temping and all the stuff that goes with actively TTC. DH is convinced that the stress of TTC contributed to my 2 miscarriages, so he prefers that I don't chart. Mind you, there's not a lot of DTD going on here and it took 5 months to conceive Ryan after AF returned post-Craig. Who knows, I could be pregnant next month now wouldn't that be funny?
Hugs and kisses!
-
HiSuzi:hooray: Another one TTC it's getting exciting in here now! I actually liked the charting and temping I'll miss not doing it again :( I think I'm up to AF#5 already BLAH! :pms: Here's hoping you don't get too stressed this time round, and yeah DTD would probably help kick things off
Hey I got an overlocker the same one you got from Spotlight  but, haha, it's still in the box haven't had time to open it and have a play yet, I also got a sewing machine, which is also still in the box lol, although I have been buying nice fabrics that catch my eye in anticipation of opening the machines and actually using them lol
Hope the renos are going well or finished and went well?
Hi Beany Harry is over the worst of his cold now, he got it from DS2 and he's now passed it onto DP. Quite a nasty bug to start with really knocked the bigger ones around for the first day or two. Here's hoping Michael escapes it :crossfingers:
I tried a pair of the suck the tummy in nickers a few years back, I was going to a wedding and had a clingy dress so wanted to smooth things out a little. They worked pretty well for the smoothing and flattening, but OMG if you don't mind them being really tight, and don't want to eat too much you'll probably be fine. I just found them very restricting and uncomfortable. I do have a bit of irritable bowl though so anything too tight tends to play havoc with me.
Well I'm off to see if I can read a couple of pages of my book before the next boob call.
Hope everyone is well!
-
Hi girls, just dropping in quickly for a selfish post. We had our first horrible freak out incident with Harry this morning. Completely my fault :( :( I mustn't have done up the straps on the high chair properly and he fell out face first on to the ceramic tiles :( :( Poor little man! He wasn't unconscious at all and cried straight away (screamed actually) instant egg came up on his forehead and he's going to have a black eye too I think :( How bad do I feel!! Gotta go Harry's calling...
-
hello!
can i join in here girls??
Im sarah, have a ds 2 and a dd born dec 15.

i might pop in later for a better intro!
x sarahx
-
Sure can welcome :hello: very cool names btw :) chat later dinner's ready.
-
Hello girls!! God, its been forever since I got on. Between the server playing up and being so damned busy it's been difficult to keep up. It's a struggle to get the basics done these days, let alone the lovely extras like posting on BB.
Sarah - Welcome!! It shouldn't be too hard to catch up at the moment because we've all been a bit busy to post!
Rose - that's completely awesome about your Dad. It must have been so good to give him a big hug when he got back from China under such good circumstances.
Willow - you poor thing seeing Harry face plant like that!! It's an awful feeling isn't it? But don't worry they seem to bounce. I confided guiltily in a mother's group friend once about our falling off the bed incident and she gave me a long list of whose baby had gone for what tumble. Once of our friends had put their bub in the front seat of a 4WD and he fell head first onto the pavement!! And he was fine...So anyway, there's always another baby that's survived much worse!!
BS - Keeping Eva in daycare for part of the day each day sounds like a great solution. I shouldn't give such a straight out opinion but I think you're doing the right thing. This way Eva has some consistency, a bit more time at home in the afternoons with you and you get some wonderful you time before number 2 makes arrives ready for your undivided attention!
Oh there she is...just a quick update and then I"ll have to come back to finish persies later. we've been up since 5 am this morning. We're still up for one or two feeds a night so a 5 am start feels really rude. Everyone keeps telling me to night wean, but its really hard to bite the bullet and say no. I keep hoping she'll kick the habit herself. And I still think she might. She's feeding a lot less during the day and we're down to 1-2 feeds from what used to be 2-3 feeds a night. And just quickly we're "not not TTC" either. It will be a bit of a shock if it happens quickly but it feels right. I really want the option for a 3rd and given my age I really have to crank them out if that's the case!! Back soon hopefully....
-
Hi girls! Seems we're all pretty busy with mobile babies these days.
Tilda - We're still feeding 2-3 times a night here too. Amelia is down to 2 day feeds (3 when she goes to care since she'll have a bottle in the afternoon. It doesn't feel right to send her off for a whole day without breastmilk). In an effort to reduce her night feeds, I've tried feeding her more during the day but she won't take it. So it mustn't be a hunger issue. It's just easier to get up and feed her than it is to try weaning at 2am. At least I know that I'm not the only one :p. Good luck with the not not TTC. Looks like we might have a few 2011 babies in our group as well.
Sarah - :welcome: A few of us have november babies but stuck with our december belly buddies. Amelia was due dec 10 but was born november 30th. She snuck in by 1 hour and 17 minutes. lol Look forward to getting to know you.
willow - Oh poor Harry. How is he today? It's hard to strap them in when they squirm so much. Once I found the buckle undone when I went to get Amelia out of the care. I'm sure I did it up properly, despite the wriggling. Not unless she was able to push the button herself. Don't be too hard on yourself. He's not the first baby to fall on the floor.
suzi - Great to hear from you. Another one not not TTC'ing. Good luck.
beany - I'm glad you're enjoying being back at work and that Michael is doing so well in care. How is he? Did that cold develop? I hope not. I got some tummy-minimising knickers to wear under a clingy dress for SIL's wedding. I got the ones that cover the waist, hips and thighs. I'll admit I was embarrassed to buy them, but they smoothed everything out and I felt so good at the wedding. I'd rather feel a little embarrassment at the checkout than spending all day feeling self-conscious about my dress showing all the wrong 'bumps'. It was suprisingly comfortable too.
BS - If I've learned nothing else as a mother, I've learned to go with my gut. You need to do what is right for you and Eva, and I'm glad you are. I struggled with a similar situation while I had glandular fever. Even though I was home, I still took Amelia to care as she was only just starting. I know that was for my physical health, but mental health is just as important. Besides, if Eva loves daycare, why she should she not go just because you're home? It'd be different if she hated it.
Rose - I am so happy your dad is doing well  Wow! Possible remission from a cancer diagnosed as terminal...that is amazing. I was the one who asked why he was having treatment in China. I would never have connected China with promising cutting-edge cancer treatments. I must admit, I did cringe when I read that the drug your dad is on hasn't even been through human trials yet. But if there were no other options left, it couldn't make things worse, I guess. It really is great that it is working.
Alison - How are you settling in to work? Have they straightened out your connection to work from home yet? That sucks that they have you doing junior work. At least you know you won't have to put up with it for long. Sounds like DH and Amelia had a great day out on your first day. And well done to your DH for the matching outfit  My Amelia spends Tuesday mornings with her dad and I'm suprised if I find her dressed at all and I leave an outfit out for her.
:hello: to everyone else.
AFM - Amelia is doing so well. She has 8 teeth, says "baby, mum, dad, na-na (or nanna) and dog", is pulling herself to stand, walking while holding onto our hands and eats just about everything I put in front of her (except for fruit, surprisingly). She has also become very clingy and will cry if I leave her with DH or even walk towards a door let alone if I actually leave the room. Of course, she's fine when not at home. It's getting better now that she can follow me around the house if she wants to, but she doesn't always want to.
Me? I'm not doing so well. I'm missing my mum so much. I don't really feel up to typing more than that. I should get back to work anyway.
-
Wow girls, how cool will it be if any of us end up Belly Buddies again?
Hannah - Sorry you're missing your Mum so much. Amelia is doing so well and you're doing great, what's a 2am feed if everything else is good? Hopefully the clingyness is just a phase, I remember Craig going through it at this age but Ryan hasn't yet.
Tilda - I know, I'm the same! After all the server dramas and not being able to log on to BB, now I forget that it's here (or I'm busy). Know what you mean about cranking them out quickly ;) I'm 36, so I figure I have until 40 to get number 3 cooking but we like the 2 year age gap between the boys. You know that Sleep School and the Child Health Nurses will tell you to stop night feeding, but really it comes down to what you can live with, after all 'they' don't have to live with Matilda, but you do.
Willow - Still can't believe we just ran in to each other randomly like that today! Sorry I had to run off on you, but I had a feeling Craig was going to crack it soon and sure enough he went nuts in JB Hi Fi. Have to say I almost didn't recognise you as you are much prettier, slimmer and more petite than the profile photo I had seen of you. Mind you, I'm probably much larger IRL than people think and was feeling like a big frumpy giant  standing next to you! Poor Harry's bump, looks sore, but he looked happy all snuggly in the Ergo (damn now I want one!). Anyway, lovely to see you, maybe we can catch up for a coffee sometime before you go back to work? That's if you can put up with me talking, I talk too much! The renos here are chugging along nicely, DH did some plastering over the weekend. Are your renos all finished now?
Sarah - Welcome! This is my first home before popping over to chat with you November girls.
Rose - Glad to hear your Dad is doing so well and that the gamble of having treatment in China is paying off. Did you make it to your Dr or are you still putting it off? The videos and pics of Liam you've put on fb are just so gorgeous, he's such a sweet little thing.
Beany - Wow, Michael's party sounds awesome, can't wait to see pics! Simple BBQ here for Ryan, haven't even done invites yet :( I've been looking at lots of fabrics online lately and everytime I see something with owls on it I think of you. Hope Michael didn't get another cold.
Brussels - Hope you don't need the Clomid for TTC this time. Totally understand your decision to leave Amelia in care to give her stability and not change her routine too much, makes sense to me. Good luck with the company sale, I bet you're looking forward to the next project.
:hello: to everyone else!
AFM - Still buzzing after bumping in to Willow in the shopping centre today! Harry is so cute, even cuter in person and Lisa is just gorgeous. How weird is it to be able to carry on a conversation when you've never met in person before? Anyone doing anything for Melbourne Cup day? We have been invited to one of our Mum's Group's houses for her little boy's 3rd birthday, should be fun.
-
Hi I was wondering if I could join you. I have 2 little girls one Carol 2 years 9 months, the other Susanah 10 months. Suzzie is pulling up on furniture and walking round it. We are busy getting tests done for coeliacs at the moment as she isnt growing. She is only just 7kg
-
Hi Girls just a quick one I am knackered I'm hoping I'm not coming down with the cold DS2, DP and Harry have had it was a nasty one.
Hi Aligater :welcome: You're our second new comer in as many days :D Suzzie sounds like she's meeting all her milestones on time if she's cruising around the furniture, but not good if she's not growing. Has her growth slowed recently or has she always been on the slow side with weight gain? Poor bubba I hope it's not coeliac that's not nice, but at least when you know what the problem is you can work on getting things on track with putting on some kilos. Anyway welcome we're a pretty friendly bunch, it gets a little quiet sometimes with mobile babies but there's usually someone around with a post :D
Suzi How weird was that!! I can't believe you just glanced at me in passing and knew who I was! When you were waving I was thinking 'omg I obviously know this person and I was wracking my brain, school?, work?' ...lol just as you started to say 'this is Craig and Ryan' I thought hey I think this might be Suzi! I can't believe Craig cracked it he seemed to be cruising around quite happily, well maybe a little bored with us jabbering, but I guess they do have a short expiry date don't they, at least you made it too the toilet in time! The boys are gorgeous Ryan looked so cute and content sucking his thumb and relaxing holding his hair, did he end up nodding off? I must say I'm more than a little embarrassed with all your compliments  I was thinking oh great bump into her now I didn't even wash my hair this morning I feel daggy and extra tired lol, I didn't think you looked frumpy at all! I thought you were looking great. Don't feel bad about running of I would have had to take off in a few minutes anyway DS2 was finishing work and is so exhausted when he's done he doesn't like to hang around (poor baby welcome to the real world of working lol) but he has been doing 10 and 12 hour days so he is buggered. Go the Ergo! :D Even when I go back to work (in 2 weeks *sniff sniff*) I think I'm only doing Monday, Wednesday and Friday, at this stage anyway so still time for coffee.
Hi Hannah Sorry you're missing your mum so much  Must be really hard for you. How are you feeling physically? I hope you're improving there with the glandular fever. Harry's ok today he's just pretty whingy and clingy so as opposed to the usual velcro baby he's actually been more like super glue baby! But the bump has gone down a lot already, and his eye didn't go as black as we thought it would which is good. He might still have a bit of a head ache, usually when he sees kids or babies he gets quite excited and want to play and interact but when we saw Suzi and Craig and Ryan he wasn't his usual self with them, any other day he would have tried to jump out of the ergo to see them.
Hi Tilda Good to hear from you again! I'll do a better personal post for you tomorrow my eyes are now hanging out of my head!
:hello: to everyone else I'm off to bed now I've rambled enough I'll catch up with everyone again next time my rain is now shutting down completely, I think I've had to correct the spelling of every second word I've written lol
-
Quick post before I have to rush off to a meeting.
suzi & willow - How cool is it running into each other like that? I'm so jealous lol. Have a great time at the birthday party today suzi. I'm working this morning so not doing anything special for Melbourne cup day.
willow - at Harry 'morphing' from velcro baby to super glue baby. Poor little guy. Do you still take him to the chiro? My osteo only wants to see Amelia as she reaches milestones and if she has any falls where she hits her head. Speaking of which, Amelia fell out of bed last night. I picked her up from care and she didn't wake up when we got home, so I put her straight to bed. I thought "great! I've got time to get dinner organised". I didn't hear her wake up though. First thing I heard was this awfully loud thud and then she screamed. She seemed okay after a cuddled and BF, but I thought of you last night and how awful you must have felt when Harry fell.
aligater - :welcome:
-
Hi Tilda 5am is very rude! :p I agree with Hannah on the night weaning, sometimes it's more hassle to try to wean than it is to feed them. In Harry's case this is very true so far I've given it a little try a couple of times and he objects so loudly and angrily I just don't have the patience for a start and there was no improvement after a full week of trying so I think that you could persist with it for weeks with no luck or he may sleep through, but, after weeks of trying would he have slept anyway? I just don't see the point in pushing it if it's going to be stressful all round, but that's just my opinion, with my bub. I've actually stopped telling people about how often he wakes unless they ask insistently and I can't creatively steer away from the question, because I'm sick of hearing the 'you should do this that or the other' Yes I'm exhausted most days but I don't want to be exhausted and stressed and guilty as well. I didn't have this frequent night feeding/waking with DS1&2 actually DS1 was a bit this way but he was happy to just sleep with me and all was good so they're just all different. I'm sure they will stop themselves when they're ready. But maybe Matilda will be less angry and loud if you give it a go, so could be worth a try if it's getting too much for you. I think I'm rambling again sorry.
Very exciting with the not not TTC :hooray: If you guys all end up as belly buddies again I'll have to just stalk the thread and live it through you all :p
Hi Hannah We still see the chiro, only every 4-6weeks unless there's an issue, luckily we have an appointment on Friday as I'm sure falling a meter on your head on to ceramic tiles will throw stuff out of whack. Poor Amelia falling out of bed I wonder if she woke up then fell out or rolled off in her sleep? Has she got a bump? It is a horrible feeling isn't it :( she might need a trip to the osteo too now.
Hi Alison I saw on FB Amelia is not well sounds pretty nasty what ever she has! I don't like it when the temps are really high and they go floppy! That's a bit scary!! DS2 had HF&M when he was about 2 I think it was not nice if that's what it is, poor bubba I hope she picks up ASAP
I really should go and try to get my disgusting bathroom cleaned, while Harry is snoozing he actually let me put him in the cot today, so the trauma of the fall must be wearing off now thank god poor little man. I have zero motivation today, not even motivated to pick a horse in the cup, not that I'm a big punter, once a year on Melb cup usually lol I haven't even seen the whole line up and I pick my horses by names or numbers lol so giving it a miss this year :D Good luck to those having a big day :goodluck:
-
Hi girls :)
Argh, like everyone (and every time I manage to get in here), I have to apologise for not being around. Like everyone, things are just crazy busy.
Alison - Just in case you're popping in here at all, I hope Amelia is feeling better. Poor little thing :( Crappy weather to be sick, too.
Aligater and madamerogers - Welcome! :)
willow - I'm sorry that you're missing your Mum so much :( It must really bring it all up for you every day, having to be a mum without your own around. And I'm with you on the cringing on no human trials thing with the drug Dad's on - but I've read all the published papers on the animal trials (which are all extremely positive) and it's just going into the last round of clinical trials now. It's actually just a new formulation of a relatively old chemo drug, too. I really hope it passes all the trials and can come into general use, since it has the potential to become a very useful drug. And you poor thing seeing Harry fall :( I think everyone goes through it at least once, and babies are pretty damn resilient.
Tilda - Good to see you posting! Personally, I say night wean when you want and have to - ignore what everyone else says. Though 5am starts suck when you've been up a couple of times a night. Liam's all over the place with his night feeds - he'll sleep through once or twice a week, and most nights be up once or twice. Usually he only seems to wake up when he's actually hungry, though.
Hi to everyone else!
I have to admit, I'm kind of jealous of all of you who are TTCing again! Even though I know it would be really hard for me to have another baby right now, that old biological clock is always ticking away. We do only want one more, though, so we have time on our side. My SIL and brother are trying already though (their little girl is a month older than Liam) - they actually concieved, but she just miscarried on the weekend :( She's thinking that it was just too soon for her body.
And following on (kind of) from that. I really need to get my damn weight sorted out before we even think about TTCing again. I'm currently still about 10kg above what I like to weigh (at the most, ideally, I'd like to get another 5kg down) and fed up with it. But I can't seem to get motivated to actually do something about it properly. Trying to decide if it's worth joining Weight Watchers right now, or doing something like Lite n Easy.
Liam's still doing well at the moment. He's been a little fussy, mostly because I think he has some more teeth starting to move down, but in general he's pretty settled. So long as he gets what he wants - which can sometimes be cuddles for ages, and other times be allowed to roam the house. Creeping ever closer to walking. Time to get properly babyproofed!
-
I can't believe it happened again. Amelia fell off of the bed. I'd been checking on her every 10 mins in case she woke so that I could intercept her if need be. Apparently, after her morning nap, DH heard her wake and went in to find her on all fours at the edge of the bed. Of course, she woke while the washing machine was in its noisy spin cycle. Argh! :wall: I've put her cot mattress on the floor to cushion her fall. Tomorrow is my day off, so I'll be going to get some bed rails me thinks.
Can't help but be ****ed at DH though. I've been suggesting bed rails for weeks and his response is maybe we need to get her in her cot. Yeah we probably do, but it's not where she wants to sleep and he isn't the one who will be up with her. I only get about 4-5 hours sleep a night as it is. I can cope with that as long as I don't have to deal with a cranky baby too.
willow - She is definitely crawling out of bed, she doesn't roll that much in her sleep and she ends up too far down towards the foot of the bed to have just fallen there. Little miss independent probably figures that now she can sit up and roll over, she can come find me instead of calling me to her. She seems okay - no more clingy than usual and no obvious lumps on her head. Her head is still a little out of shape from her birth though. Luckily I was able to give her my appointment with the osteo on saturday.
Rose - I was kind of jealous of everyone TTCing again already. But Amelia got sick with a cold and ear infection a few weeks ago. She got quite lethargic and would only sleep on me or in her swing. She was off her food too and we were back to exclusively breastfeeding. It was like having a newborn all over again and convinced me that I'm not quite ready to do that all over again just yet. Maybe towards the middle of next year. I'd go with Lite n Easy, just 'cause I'm lazy and you don't have to cook or count points with them. It's all done for you. And it might be alright for Liam too (except for the low-fat dairy). Good luck with it. So sorry for SIL and brother. Perhaps it was too soon for them.
Alison - I posted on FB. I hope Amelia gets well soon. Ear infections are not nice.
-
Hi Rose I'm jealous of all the TTCing too, I have to keep reminding myself that if I was to try for one more and conceived and got as sick as I did with Harry that it's just not feasible at all :( I couldn't work for 5 months and I would have no leave this time round to cover it, and there is no way I could look after a toddler in that state :o So I'm pretty much out of the game for good now :(
Hi Hannah Sh*t poor Amelia  It's funny DS1 always slept in my bed never in a cot he hated it, and he never fell off. I honestly don't know how??? I do remember though that by the age ours are now he knew to back up to the edge and get down, I'm trying to show Harry that every morning but he isn't grasping it yet. DS1 was walking at 9 months though so maybe that helped him with other skills like that, I don't know? Harry fell out of bed a month or so back, while I was in there :hide: I had fed him and fallen asleep and then heard "thud" he cried a little but I think because he was asleep and rolled out (he moves a lot in is sleep) he was floppy and relaxed so a quick cuddle and he went straight back to sleep. I've now got a spare cot mattress with a couple of small book shelves under it to lift it to the height of our bed so he can't roll out while he's asleep, but I'm looking for bed rails too. Luckily I can put him down in his cot for day sleeps because the constant checking doesn't make for too much productive stuff getting done while they're down. I worry a bit about the bed rails being too low IYKWIM so they might stand, lean over and fall out that way. So I'm being really fussy looking for the highest longest ones I can find. I think I'm going to have to order them online, I really wanted to just get them from a shop and take them home to use ASAP but no luck finding any. I guess if all else fails our mattress can just go on the floor until he works out how to dismount without injury :p
Well Harry's lump is shrinking pretty quickly, and the bruise is already yellowing so it seems to be healing up nicely his eye was a little blacker today only a tiny bit and some came up on the inside corner (near his nose) so he must have landed more on his face than I first though, I shudder when I think about it!:(
I'm off to see if I can get some reading done before the next boob call.
:hello: to everyone I didn't do persies for.
And goodnight all.
-
Hello everyone!
A big warm welcome to madamerogers and aligater!
Suz1 - Oh no, sorry to hear about your abcesses...I hope its all cleared up for you. I HATE anything to do with teeth. Speaking of which, I am going to the dentist on Thurs...I wish they'd just knock me out even for a checkup...I get so worked up about it :( WOW! Sooo jealous of the not-not TTC'ing. Thats our plan too. I think I'll wait till Michael is about 2 then come off the pill, see what happens for 6 months or so, if nothing does then we'll actively TTC. What a lovely idea to sew a quilt! :)
Willow - thanks for the advice about the tummy-sucking-in knickers. I did think that when I looked at them in Target the other day...my usual size looked waaaay too small for me, but I guess thats how they work, being so tight. Still thinking about it for now tho. Poor little Harry...I must admit I have forgotten to strap Michael into his highchair a couple of times, luckily I realised before he went too far forward. Its such an easy thing to forget. Glad to hear he is healing well :)
Tilda - Golly gosh, 5am is a bit rude when you have night feeds too...I hope that doesn't happen too often for you. Another one not-not-TTC'ing! Waaah! Good luck!!
Hannah - Oh I'm so sorry you're missing your mum so much. You're doing such a wonderful job with Amelia, with everything you've been through, you are a real inspiration. I really mean that. Michael's cold didn't develop...its sort of stayed the same, its quite odd. Just an ever-so-slighty snotty nose and a teeny bit of a cough. Maybe he's fighting it off...I hope so. Yes, I agree, its better to go through the few minutes embarrasment of buying the knickers than a whole summer of not wearing pretty dresses! Sounds like Amelia is going great! 8 chompers, eating everything...words!!
Rose - oh gosh, sorry to hear about your SIL. Was she far along, do you know? I lost one at 6 weeks and that was devastating. I'm jealous of all the TTC'ing (and not-not-TTC'ing!). But in reality, we want about a 3 year gap between ours...so we're being patient! I'd love to have another little newborn in my arms...I miss those days (not the sleep deprivation tho!).
I hope I haven't missed anyone...
Oh, Alison - I saw your post on fb...poor little darling Amelia. I really hope she gets over this, whatever it is, really soon. Its just awful when they're sick, you feel so helpless. If you need anything, any help or anything, let me know.
AFM - Michael is doing really well...I think he went through a bit of a growth spurt for a couple of days over the weekend...blimey, he was like a vacuum cleaner, he ate everything I gave him (which is rare, at least without fussing). But seems to have gone back to his usual habit of shaking his head, clamping his mouth shut, etc, etc. Ugh, feeding is so frustrating when he's like that.
He's started getting upset when DH drops him off at daycare :( Which is really sad, he clings onto DH's shirt and cries. Of course, he's fine after a couple of minutes...but you just wish you could comfort them.
No words yet, and nowhere near walking. And still biting...did I tell you all he's biting now? I know he's only doing it out of affection, but he needs to stop, I dont' want it becoming a habit. I feel bad telling him off when he does it cos its like he's kissing me, but using his teeth
This is just such a wonderful age...he's so full of smiles, and cheekiness, I love just watching him scoot about and discover things, and all the little noises he makes. He's just the best, I love him so much. No wonder I"m getting clucky for another!

Hi Everyone !!!!!!!!
I have been really bad about coming on to post ! I am typing as many persies as possible in a word document so that I don’t miss anyone!
Beany, thanks for your understanding re: daycare – do you see the difference in him yet? I am happy to announce that Eva does not cry anymore when I drop her off – she just gets super excited and runs off to play – she holds on to me sometimes to keep me there but does not cry anymore! She is so happy to see her little friends and I really believe that her development has advanced because of the daycare environment – maybe her getting mature faster is not important since there is no need to rush the baby stage, but I really think she benefits from it. How is Michael doing? SPANX are my fave brand of gut flatteners :p Even thin, I wore them under tight dresses. They smooth out everything!
Suz, ouch for the teeth! YAY for TTC!!!!!!!!!!! I agree that the charting is prob not the best thing until you have not gotten preg for a while – With Eva I was charting and chasing it all and was stressed….Enjoy a few months then get more serious if nothing happens – that’s how I handled this time around…It is harder to DTD – I used to be every day and this time around three times a week is our average, which is still great I know…but lots of time we get all into it then Eva will wake up!
Willow, oh the poor little guy :shakehead: If he cried then he’s fine – just keep an eye on him – but they are so much more sturdy than they were, so I think the falls come along with it. Must have broken your heart though. I can’t stand when Eva gets hurt…How funny that you and Suz bumped into each other! Lol – Eva is sort of coming out of her super clingy phase – hope Harry lets you breathe a bit soon – Enjoy it, you’ll miss this time later!
Hi Madamerogers, and Alligator - Welcome! These girls are the greatest, so glad to have more wonderful girls join our chat group!
Hey Tilda! It has been a while! Tilda, Eva still wakes for a night feel around 1230/1am and I believe she will drop it too…Try upping her solids and she will need more. Do What feels right – she might just enjoy it a lot. If you need her to drop it for your sleep, then try putting her down otherwise, but it is true that they gets used to being put back down with milk…I try with Eva but she wants that milk to go back down. I keep lowering the amount though hoping it will eventually drop. Yay for “kind of” TTCing! :p
Hannah, I totally agree with it being difficult to “discipline” at 2am! I have a problem saying ok let’s help her wean! I just want the bed back and feeding is the most calm and quiet way to get her back down…How is Amelia doing with care? And you are overdue on posting some piccies too! I want to see that little doll :D Thanks for your kind works – it is true that if I feel something I try to go with it…it is just hard to not feel guilty sometimes. Eva is not so into fruit either – I always wonder if it could be related to her reflux issues (being that fruit is more acidic…) – I hope you feel better…It is so sad not having your mum there, I am sure, but she is watching over you and I am sure she is always there in spirit. I taught Eva how to get on her belly and come down off of the bed (Our bed is sort of modern and low to the ground, so maybe that is an option too? Unless your bed is super high? I also taught her how to get down stairs in reverse on her belly – she still goes down forward sometimes but she rarely falls – I have only had two falls on the stairs since she started crawling and they are only two steps so nothing too bad) If you put bed rails it will help but if she is crawling she can still get around them. So maybe teaching her to go onto her belly and reverse off of the bed might be good too…if the bed is not too high.
Rose, I hear you on the weight thing! It is just so hard getting fit when you have no time in the day or night to do anything not baby related! I book appointments with a coach or else I would never do anything…it is the only way I go or else I always find a reason to put it off then it is night and the day is over…..Go Liam! I can’t wait to get the news about him walking  Get the babyproofing done – he might surprise you and just start getting to stuff overnight!
Alison, ear infections suck! Eva had one before her teeth came in…Just keep her back slightly elevated when she sleeps and comfort her as much as possible….It will pass – or maybe it already has – I am so behind on everything. I know that laying flat on the back hurts their ears but otherwise, nothing else to do until it passes. Poor little beauty…give her a big kiss from me.
I hope I got everyone! And for those of you not in here - Helllooo!!!!! Miss you all!
AFM, just got back from a gorgeous weekend in Paris, where Eva was just perfect and calm and adorable – the great grandparents were under her charms!
I was a bit tired today still waiting for my period so I called my doctor to get back on chlomid and all of that. He gave me an appt tom afternoon to get some testing started etc…I had one test at home and decided to take it for the hell of it since the doctor will be monitoring me from now on, and guess what girls!!!!!!?????????????????????????
:bfp:!!!!!!!!!!
Aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
I am so blessed! It has only been a month and a half off of the the pill and I already have another gorgeous baby on the way. For now let’s see what happens. It is too early to know if everything will go to the end! But I hope it does
I go to the doc tomorrow to get dates confirmed and all of that! I am soooooooooooooooooo happy! I cried for like half an hour and jumped all over DH when I told him – he is over the moon! He takes all of the credit for having super sperm  !
I’ll let you guys know how far along I am after the doc tomorrow!
I am sooooooooo happy!
-
Beany, We posted at the same time! Just tell him no teeth when he bites and show him a kiss with your mouth. He will stop. But don't tell him off, just be firm. The clingy thing is hard - Eva just stopped doing that - she holds on to me now but does not cry anymore...It will pass. They like it but would like it more if you stay with them all day :) Eva has those wierd feeding habits too - she eats like a pig for like three days then goes back to fussy. It is a def growth spurt. I just feed her what she wants to take in.
-
:happyforyou::happyforyou::happyforyou:
:leap:
:hooray:
OH MY GAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWD!!!!!! A :bfp: already!!!! You're sooooo lucky!!! DH must have super-squigglies indeed!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh I'm so happy for you! What a wonderful feeling you must have right now. Enjoy it :)
I can't believe it!!!
-
Me neither!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
-
OMG CONGRATULATIONS BS. So happy for you. How lucky for it to happen so quickly. Hope all goes smoothly to u.
Well I have missed heaps and I haven't been getting notifications ARGH why does this keep happening?
Yay go all that are TTC and the ones not not TTC.
We are another not not TTC. Had a bit of a hopeful time this month I had mid cycle spotting and I was 5days late booked an appt to go to the dr and AF arrved that morning :-( considering Jett took over 3years and finally an ivf bub I dnt think. Could be so lucky. I am hoping it will happen naturally as I don't want to big of a gap but not sure if I am ready to do ivf again.

HTH pregnancy to you and look forward to hearing all about the Dr confirming it.
Lani and Ali, hope your little ones are better soon.
Welcome Aligator!
Sorry, little selfish post here. Went for my root canal today. Turns out I don't need it because none of my teeth had died. But the whole thing was a bit weird, so they did another X-ray and now they suspect I have a mandibular cyst, instead of an abcess and I'm off to see an Oral Surgeon on Monday. There's a risk it's cancer, so they want to do a biopsy. All I want is my mouth to stop hurting. Wish me luck girls.
On a happier note, it's DH's birthday tomorrow and I made him a Chocolate Peanutbutter Cheesecake.

Oh Suz, good luck :crossfingers: it isn't serious. How stressful to have to wait til Monday thinking of tyou. Big hugs and kisses. :happybirthday: to DH. The Peanut Butter Cheescake sounds soooooo yummmmm. It was my DH's birthday yesterday.
My little Monkey is still not any better if anything he is worse :( I took him to the Dr yesterday and he said it was a viral infection that would only last 24 - 48hrs. However he has gone very downhill since then. He now has green snot and a sticky eye and very whingy but the temp has come down from 39.5 to this morning it was only 35. I had yesterday off work but I have come to work today and left DH with him.
Ali how is Millie?
Oh how exciting will it be of a lot of us from here will be pregnant again at the same time.
BS any news from the Dr???? I am :happyforyou: for you.
Hi to everyone :hello:

suzi - Good luck for Monday. Will be thinking of you. Mmmm...chocolate peanutbutter cheesecake. It's my DH's birthday tomorrow.
Lani - Poor Jett. I hope he feels better soon. It's a good sign that his temp has come down.
beany - Amelia used to bite too. I just told her no firmly and she learned pretty quickly not to do it. It was hard not to startle her if she did it while feeding though. She still occasionally bites when she's teething. She come in for a kiss and then start to gently put the teeth in. It's like she's testing to see whether she can get away with it.

Suzi :crossfingers: :goodluck: I'll be thinking of you I'm sure it will be all clear.:goodluck: :crossfingers:
Hope DH has a good birthday.
Lani Hope your little man feels better soon, if the temp has broken he should be over the worst and now just needs to get rid of all the gross buggy stuff, hence the green snot, yuck! Warm salty water should help the eye, poor thing.

Hey girls, just a quick update - Went to the doc who confirmed my pregnancy and my DH's "very strong swimmers" He is really happy to see that I got preg on my first ovulation two times in a row....although my ovulation is three weeks later than expected, because of the PCOS. So I actually ovulated about five weeks after AF, which is super late. but as long as it came, I'm happy. He saidconception was two to three weeks ago, and I remember that being a very frisky period indeed :)
I am actually in the first days and he can't see the embryo yet, so I have to wait two weeks for a more precise date but it is going to be around June 27- July 10! So a summer baby this time around, which will be nice because I'll just go out to the mountains for the end of the summer and relax properly with my two babies...I hope this one sticks. I am super sick with a serious throat infection and am on antibiotics, DH has it too - We spent all day sick in bed and DH, who has it a bit better than I do took care of Eva and did everything....I just hope the antibiotics and fever and not eating won't cause trouble for my pregnancy. I am also supposed to fly to Dublin tomorrow so have to wait and see how I feel. I am meeting one of my best friends for the WE, and would be really sad to miss that.
Lani, I agree that is the fever broke, he should get better - just disinfent the nose and do what you can to comfort him. It will pass. The poor little guy - I hate seeing Eva sick, it is so hard to not be able to help them more.
Suz, I hope it is nothing serious - I'll be online as much as possible waiting for your news. Happy bday to DH!
Alison, glad to see Amelia is doing better!
Today there was a pediatrician visit at the daycare and they told me eva is slightly overweight. They told me she should not be waking at night to eat. she wakes up around 130 for a bottle. I feel like I should not put her into categories from a book, but I do wish she would sleep through. I am going to try to give her warm water tonight to see if she is going to take that, but if she complains I'll just give her milk, but less. We'll see. I am not too stressed about it. She eats well and not much and not junky food, so I think she is just getting chubby prewalking. We'll see.
Hi to everyone else - back to bed! I am beat.
