Nai - thanks for reminding me that Alex needs his 1yr shots. Sounds like Miss J is growing really well.

    I'm subscribing too :-D

AFU - took Alex to a pre-school play group today and he loved hanging out with the older kids, although he wanted to run riot and insisted on sucking the pencils - eww. The ladies were lovely and Alex's face was priceless when he went into the sand pit for the first time.

Feeling like we take one step forward and then land right back where we started again.

Who's baby is still waking in the night for a feed or resettle back to sleep? How often?

ETA - Leon!!! Hope you have a fantastic day with him Holly!

Happy birthday Leon Hope your back is better soon Holly.

Kaz- I can feel the frustration in your post. Sleep deprivation is the worst form of torture I think. I really hope he starts to sleep well for you soon. How are his sleeps during the day? we have the odd bad night (like Mon night) every so often. We actually popped a 2nd tooth this week so think thats what that was about but I have noticed DD is now only having one day sleep which is about 1-2hours at lunch time. I am also now having trouble putting her down at night. Do you think it could be out of habit that he is waking??

Heaven, Det, Olive & Malyna- for you girls too. I honestly dont know how you function.

I must be crazy but this week I worked an extra day (I need the money and had DD in CC anyway so decided to go in). Am paying for it now though.

DD standing lots without holding on and even having a drink standing up without holding on!

She is such a social little thing as well. We were at a playground at a cafe and there was a 2 year old boy who she was playing with (who had the hottest dad ever) oh and bonus, started chatting to him and he was a fireman! Then there were these other kids who were a bit older who I heard say lets play mums and dads and she can be our baby. They were sitting down in this tunnel and DD was sitting right in the middle and cracking up laughing at them!

    Hi to everyone else.

Thanks girls. It is nice to know I'm not alone. I do try to go with the flow. Every now and then though I crack it in my head and it's purely from exhaustion. I know going with the flow makes it better in terms of my stress levels but the tiredness is constant and feels like it's getting worse. I am having trouble functioning during the day and am back to trying to have afternoon sleeps again when I can. There's no way I can go to work and function like this and I'm just sick of feeling so tired ALL the time. It's affecting everything in my life.

Sorry for the rant. Just feeling really blah.

ETA: Ali your DD is too cute!

You know what? I think people IRL LIE! They make out their kids are better than they really are.

    hell yes people lie!!!
i remember mentioning this even when our bubs were really little

my theory is that they think that whether their child sleeps or not is a reflection on them as parents- WTF!!
its nearly as bad as their thinking that their children are clever because they walk early or crawl early!
man there is so much pressure on us as parents let alone the extra pressure that we put on ourselves
    man i am philosophic tonight!

boof just fed off me for 2 hours straight just now- my boobies are sore !! plus he is teething BAD - lets hope he sleeps more than the 45 mins he usually does at this hour of the night before he wants another feed lol

    hugs all
