Happy birthday Leon Hope your back is better soon Holly.

Kaz- I can feel the frustration in your post. Sleep deprivation is the worst form of torture I think. I really hope he starts to sleep well for you soon. How are his sleeps during the day? we have the odd bad night (like Mon night) every so often. We actually popped a 2nd tooth this week so think thats what that was about but I have noticed DD is now only having one day sleep which is about 1-2hours at lunch time. I am also now having trouble putting her down at night. Do you think it could be out of habit that he is waking??

Heaven, Det, Olive & Malyna- for you girls too. I honestly dont know how you function.

I must be crazy but this week I worked an extra day (I need the money and had DD in CC anyway so decided to go in). Am paying for it now though.

DD standing lots without holding on and even having a drink standing up without holding on!

She is such a social little thing as well. We were at a playground at a cafe and there was a 2 year old boy who she was playing with (who had the hottest dad ever) oh and bonus, started chatting to him and he was a fireman! Then there were these other kids who were a bit older who I heard say lets play mums and dads and she can be our baby. They were sitting down in this tunnel and DD was sitting right in the middle and cracking up laughing at them!

    Hi to everyone else.

Thanks girls. It is nice to know I'm not alone. I do try to go with the flow. Every now and then though I crack it in my head and it's purely from exhaustion. I know going with the flow makes it better in terms of my stress levels but the tiredness is constant and feels like it's getting worse. I am having trouble functioning during the day and am back to trying to have afternoon sleeps again when I can. There's no way I can go to work and function like this and I'm just sick of feeling so tired ALL the time. It's affecting everything in my life.

Sorry for the rant. Just feeling really blah.

ETA: Ali your DD is too cute!

You know what? I think people IRL LIE! They make out their kids are better than they really are.

    hell yes people lie!!!
i remember mentioning this even when our bubs were really little

my theory is that they think that whether their child sleeps or not is a reflection on them as parents- WTF!!
its nearly as bad as their thinking that their children are clever because they walk early or crawl early!
man there is so much pressure on us as parents let alone the extra pressure that we put on ourselves
    man i am philosophic tonight!

boof just fed off me for 2 hours straight just now- my boobies are sore !! plus he is teething BAD - lets hope he sleeps more than the 45 mins he usually does at this hour of the night before he wants another feed lol

    hugs all

Haha Olive - I have one exactly the same! If there is one thing in the whole room that she could break, she makes a beeline for it. I think she can sense glass from the other end of the house

We turned Miss J a couple of weeks back as friends needed our baby capsule and she has been better in the car. I would have like to have kept her longer but with DD1 forward facing I think she wanted to be the same. She would scream whenever we were getting in the car but she's fine now.

    Hi all

Thanks for all the well wishes, just popped on to post the poem I wrote for Milana's first anniversary (it was pointless watching the clock all night, though I may as well be productive).
Not trying to make anyone cry (but most of my friends did):

    One Year Gone.

Today, we should be celebrating, that Milana is one,
Not mourning, the sad fact, that she is gone.
Every minute, of every day, she is on my mind,
My daughter, a stronger bond, you just can’t find.

Stolen memories, of growing up, getting bigger each day,
My mind’s eye, more beautiful, as should be the way.
In dreams, we are happy, she’s in my embrace,
As I wake, harsh reality, is so hard to face.

Cruel life, took her away, right at the start,
True cycle, meant that we, should never once part.
One day, in the future, forever will be born,
I will, hold her again, no more to mourn.

Thanks for reading, will pop and say hi occasionally,
    Take care all,

    Tracey

Been at work last couple days so Happy Birthdays to those I have missed, Leon yesterday, Heidi today.

Sleep wise Emily is good (touch wood) so different to Ash. Unless she is teething or unwell she will do 11-12 hours now. And people do lie, I even used to lie a bit with Ash just because I did not need to hear crap how the "should" be doing this or that. Sometimes I wonder why mums IRL can't just support each other like we do here. Good friend of mine son is nearly 2 and he often wakes at night still, she just goes with the flow, yes she would love him to sleep thru and in his own bed everynight but if it doesn't happen why should all these other people get upset by it.

Had my girls at the health centre today also. Nai, Emily is so close to J. Em weighs 9.1 and length 74. Ash at the same age was exact same length but weighed 8.6.

Meg, Holly, Olive- are you all better with the illnesses you all had?

Sorry Tracey, just noticed you posted at same time. Thank you for sharing your poem.
