Yay Heaven!!!!

E is slowly improving, although not eating very much, and very clingy!!! I really need to get myself checked out as well though - My mum commented on how she though it looked like the goitre in my neck looked enlarged. I jut hate all the Thyroid tests. I also need to go now that I have stopped breastfeeding to have the genetic breast cancer check. Both my mum and Aunt have had it, so need to find out if I carry the gene. If so, I am having a double mastectomy and reconstruction. My mum did it, and her boobs look awesome!

As far as meet up - During the school hols I am available on Mon, Thurs and every second Fri. I work Tues/Wed - But during school term J has kindy on a Monday and swimming Thursday morning.

Yep, will try for a VBAC! A bit scared about that, not a great labour last time!! lol But it was so worth it so I can do it!!

Another quick update from me: had a check up today, bubs is fully engaged (woo) but my BP was higher than it has been so they checked for protein in my urine and there were some but apparently not enough to be worried about. So I'm just going to try to take it easy - the high BP I'm hoping is just a side affect of being stuck at home with delightful lovely DD while she's sick!

I'll just keep reminding myself that pre eclampsia is much less common second time around... Isn't it?????

But DD is fine which is great, she's just got a viral rash thing. Everything that's been up with her can be written off to that - grizzly, not sleeping, off her food, etc etc. Just have to ride it out unfortunately!!!

I hope that you don't have pre eclampsia. You will prob fine that your BP is a bit elevated from running around after a toddler. I know mine was elevated on a few occasions, but as I live with a paramedic, they just got DH to check my BP daily.

DD is going to look so grown up when the new bub is born. Suddenly your first child that looked so little, looks so grown up when the new baby comes!!

OP- How are you doing? Are you on weekly appts now? How close now? I can't rmemeber your due date.

Speaking of due dates I noticed thread due Feb 2011, that was us 2 years ago! :o Where does the time go?

Pinny- how are the kids? Have you seen GP bout the spots or they just a viral type rash? Is your hubby home for the weekend to help out?

Meg- Def sounds like you need ot see your GP, as soon as you read this post go and call your Dr and make an appt! then post you've been a good girl and done it!

I'm still having problems with vertigo, been like 9 days I think where if I move around too much and especially if I'm looking down i start to feel like I'm rocking on a boat even tho I could be standing still. So annoying cause I start to get nauseas and have to have lots rests in the day, so haven't been to work for awhile but can't keep calling in sick. Its happened in the past but usually one day at most and its gone. Had virus so maybe to do with that but I have referal now to see ENT just to stop it in the future and I've always had bad balance with my ears anyways.

Shell - my mum had similar symptoms to what you are describing a few years ago. She was told she'd had a virus in her inner ear. It eventually went away by itself. I hope the ENT has some answers for you. Do you have to wait long to get in?

OP - :hug: try not to stress hun. Easier said than done. No idea about pre-e but hoping like mad you don't have it! Hope DD is feeling better soon too xx

Hi girls! Hope you're all having a nice long weekend. Sorry can't stay long to do more personals. I shouldn't have carried on about DS's great sleep last post, it's been pretty crap the last week or so. He's cut another tooth the other day so we knew why but last night was an absolute shocker for no apparent reason that we could work out. Lots of wake ups then awake from 12:15am to 3:45am then awake at 4:30am then just before 6am and screaming so hard he was dry retching for over half an hour until we got him up. I think he might have just gone back down now so I'm following. Poor DP had to go to work today too. I'm worried he's gunna have a car crash or something :(

shell my mum had something similar at christmas and was also told it was an inner ear infection (?) it lasted a few weeks, i grew up with something similar to menieres disease so i know alllll about vertigo, terrible :hug: i hope your feeling better though.

OP yikes on the high BP i hope it comes back down for you chicken :hug:

AFM M took a tumble down our steep driveways yesterday so mum of the year award goes to me, she ok a few bruises on the face and a few scrapes to her head. sleep has been better finally, slept through the past two nights :o shocked i tell you!
also found out friday that she has an intolerance to nuts! found out via her bloodtest from the naturpath, so back there tomorrow t find out more, but the digestive enzymes must be assisting the better sleep along with the grommets! we've also stopped night feeding, so really its a combo of the 3

:leap: olive - so happy for you that Miss M is sleeping through. I hope it continues as a general trend from now on!! It's so the way to have two or three (or more) things combining to affect them. Makes it so hard to work out what's going on and what will help in any given situation. I know babies are not one-dimensional and are complex little creatures and most of the time that's positive but when it comes to sleep I wish they were more straightforward! I'm straightforward: It gets to the end of the day. I'm tired. Therefore I sleep. :lol:

Shell - two weeks to go for me by dates. Feel like it'll be sooner though... he's already engaged which I wasn't expecting til I went into labour! So we'll see... Glad your vertigo has settled down (saw it on fb) - that must have been a real pain! And kinda weird...

Lilima - thanks for your thoughts. I still feel fine - no headaches, swelling isn't too bad, no vision problems so I'm thinking I'm fine. You're probably right - it probably was just because of being at home with a sick toddler all day by myself!!!

Olive- poor Millie, they do everything and anything to themselves. I bet she'll heal quickly, its great on her sleep tho, hope Sophie goes ok, have you got vaporiser on with eucalyptus, sometimes too I out the eucolyptus on a hankie under the pillow, helps a bit.

My vertigo has settled, thank god, still will prolly go see the ENT just to see if I can prevent it in the future cause have had probs in past (not as bad as this time tho) just gotta call up and make an appt now.

Wow OP - 2 weeks!! How exciting! I am on standby and my phone is always charged :lol:

Olive - yay at Millie's sleeping. We have had some shockers recently but last night Miss J slept from 6.45pm - 5am so that was a bit better!

Home alone, DH is at State of Origin. DD is in bed so I have time to post without her trying to switch the computer off!! LOL.

Thankyou all for your congrats!! Feeling nervous still and can't get my head around the idea I'm actually pregnant. But I found a cute t-shirt for DD that has a pic of a cupcake and says 'this little cupcake is going to be a big sister'. Looks really cute! So when we go to tell ppl at 12 wks I'm going to get her to wear that and wait til they notice! LOL.

OP- No change in the BF yet! Still going strong, LOL. She didn't mind when I got AF back either so either she doesn't notice and taste difference or doesn't care, lol. I can't believe you only have 2 weeks to go!!!!!!!!!!

Shell- I saw that due date thread aswell and thought the same and then also realised, ****, that's me again now!! LOL. I don't think I'll join this time though, can't even keep up in here! Glad you're feeling better!

Thanks Holly! Not sure what we're going to do re sleeping! I think we'll just go with the flow and see what happens. Maybe she'll move out on her own before then! But I don't want to force her, plus I'd miss her! Might feel different with a big bump though, haha. She's sleeping better though. Last night she slept 6.5hrs straight and then came in with us and slept for another 4 hrs.

Thank goodness we have had a couple of good nights in a row after Monday night's carry on (Miss J was awake from 12-2am crying and screaming and singing). I was beside myself on Tuesday at work as I was just so tired I could barely function.

Also we have said bye bye to the high chair - Miss J has decided she wants to sit at the table like a big girl and is now in a booster seat, sitting next to her sister and feeding herself :( She's growing up so fast! At least she has stopped having a tanty each time I say it's time for breakfast/lunch/dinner.

DD is the same re the highchair shed rather DD1 booster seat, im not ready yet :lol: sad i know!
Goodnights here too finally, shes slept through 3/4 nights and the other one was one resettle, i loooooooooove my ENT for the grommet and our naturopath for the other issues.... finally seeing the light at the end of a very long tunnel

DD1 is sick croupy cough and high temps, off to the dr this arvo.

We had a not so good night here, but bearable. E was up at midnight till 3am. Did the same thing 2 nights ago. She was the same nai - Singing, calling Daddy, crying , grumbling....... In the end I went in and growled at her, then she went to sleep. Gave her some nurophen at 1am, but obviously it wasn't teeth, as she didn't go to sleep for another 2 hours! She was hell bent on sleeping in this morning, but I got her up at 7:30. Not letting her be up all night then sleep all day.

For those who co sleep - how do you do it? E always wants to sleep across me, or on my neck!! It just doesn't work.

E's fave thing at the moment, is to throw something on the floor then say "o-oh" Also climbs of the couch, says ready, set go - then launches herself off.

OK better go - she is walking around in DH's shoes and is going to trip at any mo0ment.

DD1 was soooooooo sick last night :o was scary, ive never seen her so bad before, 40+ temps every 6 hours, sleepy, listless etc... but she got up today a different child, AB"s must have kicked in, though now im worried DD2 is getting it :(
DD2 was also up last night, off and on for 2 hours *yawn*

all i can say is 4 hours sleep from 12am last night till he went to bed at 9.30pm tonight-
i am well and truly stuffed- especially when he was dancing on our heads in bed from 12.30 till 4.30am this morning!!!
and then no day sleep today
please someone show me where his off switch is!!!

E slept wonderfully last noght, but the pattern at the moment seems to be one good night, one bad night. We had gym today, so they are both pretty tired by the end of the day. Gym is awesome, 3 hours of free play at our local gymnastics centre for $5 per family.

E is still being very cheeky. Tonight as I was stripping them down for a bath, Miss E was nude and I hear her say "Oh no" as she wet the floor! Then she was upset that she had weed.

I went and bought E some skivvies at Target. They are having a sale, and I got them for under $4 each. The sucky thing is that I had to shop in the boys section just to get colours that were not pink or purple. I wanted reds and blues.

E is in desperate need on some winter jumpers, but I just don't want to spend the $$$$ on jumpers that end up being crap. My grandmother was an awesome knitter, and E is still just fitting in to a fw that she knitted about a year ago, and she has a few that Grandma knitted for J, but she is just not well enough to knit any more, so I don't think there will be any more hand knitted things. very sad, but she is 89. So I want to get E some nice jumpers, but can't find anything that even compares. Any suggestions????

I have orderd a new necklace. Since I took my harmony bell off, I have felt naked. Anyway the new one should arrive in the enxt few weeks. It is a stamped disk shaped that says "I love you to the moon" one one disk, and a disk behind that is slightly larger is stamped "James . Emilia"

Lilima - DD is being very cheeky at the moment too. Tonight's trick at bedtime was to throw her two sleep toys (Miffy the rabbit and a stuffed ferret) onto the floor out of her bed, say "Uh oh!" a few times and then start crying because she's lost her sleep toys :rolleyes: I went in twice and retrieved them for her and the second time I told her firmly "mummy won't be coming back in if you throw them out again" - not sure if she understood but 10mins later I heard "Uh oh!" but I have ignored her... seems to be working so far!

Your necklace sounds lovely... I am still waiting on my 30th pressie from DH, I'm getting a necklace of some sort but I need to choose what I want! Been a bit distracted by other things :D

Absolute madness here...was up with DD2 from 11pm till 5am when I handed her to DH and collapsed into bed...thank goodness DD1 is sleeping through...7pm till 6 am...I am so so thankful for that!!! 6 weeks on Friday so can drive again and off the CHN for the big weigh in...have no idea how I am going to get both the girls there by 11am seeing I haven't been out the house since Doc visit 3 weeks ago...scarey!!! It's all just one BIG BIG BLUR!!!

Ellie - Hold in there - those first3 months or so are always tough, but before you know it, you will be in a good routine and all will begood.

DET - Gosh! He really doesn't need much sleep! How has he been since?

OP - Yep - they really understand now don't they?! E was upset yesterday, and I said to her "do you want a bottle?" and she went out to the kitchen and started pointing at her bottle.

E has been up since 4am today. I am pretty sure she didn't go back to sleep. I am not 100% sure because I shut my door and put earplugs in, as she wasn't crying, just talking, with a bit of grizzling here and there.

Hi girls, Sorry I havent been posting. I just cant keep up with all the personals and then feel bad to just post about me. I am reading everything though. Finally got all my reports handed in and it looks like all my hard work at school is paying off as I have just been offered the role of relieving Assistant principal for a term or possibly to the end of the year. I havent accepted yet as I want to make sure i am not taking on too much workload ut the extra pay will be great and they are going to allow me to do it as a job share with the teacher I job share on class with. We do so uch of the work for everyone in our stage as it is (and we are the part timers but still do most of it). Having a meeting with the Principal (myboss) tomorrow arvo.

DD seems to constantly have a cold, has been getting a rash all around her nose and mouth from the onstant wiping of her nose and it running all the time. (its clear runny but still runny). Wont let me go near her with FESS spray. Have been putting some sorbolene cream on it at night but by the end of the day it looks all sore again :(

:hug: for all with sleep issues. We have had a few parties in the night as well and lets just say they werent ones that I wanted to attend but DD insisted! :rollseyes:

Olive- I am so glad to hear DD is better after those temps! Scary stuff. Her body must have been really trying to fight something off. :hug:

Heaven & Kaz- Cant wait to catch up in July!!!!! So so excited about our little March babies (who are gate crashing the gorgeous Feb babies) getting together. Wish I could see everyone else as well.

Ali- oh wow, so did you decide to take up the job offer? Congrats, great to hear all the hard work you've put in is being noticed. Hows the runny nose issue? Is it from CC? I know kids who have started and had runny nose for months afterwards.

Ellie- how is everything going, I feel for you I still remember clearly how hard it can be with a toddler and a newborn. Just take each day as it comes, thats what I tried to tell myself, don't get caught up in the little things just concentrate on what has to be done.

OP- how are you doing? You coping ok with being heavily preggy and chasing after DD1? You getting time to rest/ put up your feet?

Meg- you'll have to put a pick on FB up of the necklace, sounds really nice. You're lucky you have that gym thing near you, I need to find something here that is open in age groups, so hard to do anything cause every class I look at is by ages and one child doesn't want to just sit and watch all the time. How is the sleep going with E?

How is everyone going with eating, well their toddlers and eating, Emily will not eat meat and veg meals, occasionally she may eat bit chicken if we hide it in a sandwhich but thats it. We offer every day, then I offer her shop baby food which she used it eat but refuses that too. She just wanst to live on breads, dairy and fruit!
