    Hi,

Im glad someone wrote in here =D

Bubba finally came after a 36 hour induction/labour. She came at 8.02pm on the 07/01 weighing 6 pound 14. Not bad considering she was 12 days overdue.

All is well so far after a few hiccups at the start meaning she had to spend her first day in the special care nursery. Came home this afternoon.

Have been breastfeeding, It is so hard! She is feeding fine but i am producing so much that i am in agony and i even have milk under my armpits that dribbles out. Weird but apparently normal.

Cant wait to meet others that have had their babies in these dates.

    Eluned how are you now?

Heya Kallee...congratulations on the arrival of your little girl!

Yep breastfeeding is hard to get the hang of at first, but it gets better! Your milk will settle down too over the next few weeks. But I know what you mean! I have one side that dribbles while she is feeding on the other side!

We are going well. Have our first 10 day check with the child health nurse tomorrow. I'm a bit nervous to find out how much weight she has gained. My DS had problems putting on weight in the first three months. I'm hoping we don't have the same issues this time!

my baby girl Caroline is here and is just divine!! not the giant I was told by a LONG shot. she weighed 7lb 4 oz when born on the 08/01/10 at 8.45am. She has all her fingers and toes and the most soul boring blue eyes. she was in special care the first day/night for observation as she was a bit fluidy but then returned to me and we've been on a roller coaster. My husband is absolutely smitten and it's gorgeous to watch him be wrapped around a tiny finger that is so small. He has the next 4 weeks off so will be a great help to me as I relearn the basics!

i have recovered SO well after this c/s - my first was an emergency and I am sure i was feeling pretty rotten for awhile afterwards but she is 5 days old today and i feel great. just a little sore but walking around fine etc and the usual newborn sleep deprivation.

The best thing though was that the midwives at the Angliss hospital here in Melbourne were FANTASTIC and they all took the time to teach me to breastfeed which was difficult because i have flat nipples but so far we are doing okay. still a definite work in progress but i have a little more confidence than when i had my son 10 years ago and was told by a midwife that he was too lazy to breastfeed and didn't mention my flat nipples at all. anyways ... that is us )

jenjams - I just realised our girls are only 11 minutes apart!

now I just need to figure out how to change my signature! lol

Illeyena, I also had my girl at the Angliss on the 07/01 and stayed till the 10th so i must have passed you in the hall a few times. Also Maleyah was in special care all day on the 08/01. Im sure my little monkey probably kept you awake haha. I agree the nurses and staff there were FANTASTIC. Being a FTM i didnt know what to expect but they helped me beyond belief.

I am so glad to hear how happy everyone is and i cant wait to get to know you all. =D

Hi everyone just a quick post as DP has ducked out with DD1... a little about us.

My name is Leah i am 26 next mth and a SAHM to Ava Lilly who is 15mths and now our gorgeous Zara who is 9 days old today.
I am a bit of a tomboy, love a laugh and spending time with friends, family and of course my girls.
DP and i have been together 6yrs this year and are in the process of settling on a 3br house on 4acres.

So thats me... a little more about Zara now as she got weighed again today i am going to nickname her MISS PIGGY as she has put on 180g in 6 days since leaving the hospital, 70g in just the last 2 days!
I feel so much better than i did with A as no matter how well she fed she just gained small amounts of weight, she's perfectly healthy and active etc but is petite.. i think Z will be too but is catching up a lot quicker at the start.

I look forward to getting to know everyone, especially the people i never saw in the belly buddies thread.. maybe we can make a list of mums names and bubs names and dates of birth to keep track?

Hope your all well.. best be off and do some more cleaning before i wake A for a feed at 3:45 and DP gets back with A.

oh feel free to add me on FB aswell www.facebook.com/avasmum#1 just send your username through with the request!

    Hi Girls

My names Sarah and im mummy to Joel (3yrs) Lacey (21mths) and my new little man William who is 2wks old tomorrow .

Everything is going great, William is a great little man. Does cry much at all, when hes awake he just lays there looking around and is feeding great. We did end up in hospital over the weekend as his Jaundice levels got high so he had to go under lights. was hard leaving my other 2 at home but were all good now.

How is everyone going? happy to help anyone out if you need any advice.

Hey everyone, how are all the gorgeous little bubs going?

Were going well, Zara got weighed at the MCHN yesterday and she was VERY pleased, she put on another 130g in 5 days!
I am going to stop waking her every 3hrs for feeds and just see how she goes, she tends to feed well so i figure she's putting on plenty so she's getting enough.

Ava sat and played with her while she had belly time this morning, it was so cute, she layed on her belly and put her face right next to Z's and spoke to her.

We will FINALLY be settling on our house tomorrow after so many dramas (belly buddies ladies you know ), then we will officially be BROKE... lol
Gotta get my centrelink paperwork in for a tiny bit more money, will do some painting etc out there first and then prob move about April...

Harleysgirl - so glad to hear William is doing well, must be horrible having to go back into hosp but glad he's ok.

    Hi to everyone else....

Well i was thinking i might just do a post with our names and bubs names and dates of births so we can all remember and get used to... will post that separately though, i can't remember things anymore so it's more to make my life easier

    5HRS your super woman!

I told DP i was staying as long as they offered, to give bubs and I some time to bond and to let him have some time with DD1.
As it was Z had to stay for 48hrs for monitoring as i had the strep with Ava so we didn't get a choice anyway.. i was lucky though.. had a partner room so was in all by myself in a double bed worked well when A came to visit though as she couldn't annoy anyone.

Hello mummas! Been reading but haven't posted much yet - usually reading on my iphone while feeding Amelia. Now got a change on the proper computer to post!

Leah, thanks for posting the list! Amelia was 7lb 2oz if you wanted to add that on as well.

I'm glad to hear everyone seems to be doing well with their new little bundles! We are going well. DH has next week off work before he goes back. Having him home has been a tremendous help. I have been able to sit and feed Amelia on demand while he looks after DS and DS has loved having him home. It's been a bit full on though but I think he'll calm down once DH is back at work and we settle into a new routine.

Amelia put on 350grams in the last week which is a big deal for me because I had sooo many problems with BF'ing DS and he didn't gain weight for the first 3 months. It's such a relief to know that my boobies do actually work properly!
