Hey everyone, sorry to disappear for so long again. Thanks to everyone who responded to my previous post, we havent had anymore chunks in the vomit so that is good. Actually until 2 days ago she was hardly vomiting at all but yesterday and today she has done a few so not sure what that is all about. Also she is becoming really, really, really fussy with her bottle and wont drink much at a time. I try and get her to take more but she pushes it out with her tongue and if i try and stick it back in, she sometimes starts screaming, other times if i perserve and keep putting it back in she will eventually have a big drink, its really weird. So far today she has only had three small feeds, 60mls at 8am, 10am and then 10.30 I managed to get her to have another 60mls. The problem is if she doesnt drink enough in the day she ends up waking at 3am whereas before we did have her going from 11pm to 5am/6am without a feed. She is also getting tired really easily now, before she could happily go at least an hour and half before getting grizzly but sometimes now she is crying after only an hour but the problem is just because she is tired doesnt mean she will go to sleep. But having said all that we are getting into a bit of a routine now. I usally take her for a walk in the morning for about 45mins so she will sleep then at lunch time I try and get her to sleep for 2.5hrs which she was getting good at but this week has started waking after an hour and i have to go and resettle her sometimes she will go back down but other days she just wont, then in the afternoon we go for another walk of about half an hour.
Has anyone else felt the effects of daylight savings with the babies? I was finding that Maddie was getting really really tired by 6pm whereas before she was going to 7pm although last night she lasted till 6:45 so hopefully we are getting into it. I would really love her to sleep from 7pm to 7am (not without a feed of course cause i realise she cant go that long) but she tends to wake at 5am or 6am and i have trouble getting her back to sleep.
She has also become very volatile this last week, one minute she is happy and smiling and cooing and then its like a switch goes in her head and she is hysterical crying. I cant figure out what it is that is flipping her out.
Sorry for the selfish post but better go as she will be waking up very soon and I havent really done anything I was going to do while she napped today....lol....story of my life really
Cant believe our bubbas have now graduated from newborn to infant, time really does go so fast.
