    Morning ladies
Have been slack getting into here
Sounds like everyones bubbas are doing really well, cat napping usually happens about now gotta love it Sebs not to bad he will have a cat nap in the morning and late arvo but his sleep after lunch is anywhere between 2-4hrs long. Night times we are still waking up a fair bit, the reflux really hits hard before bed and we sometimes have to change clothes a few times. After taking him to the chiro last week it helped a bit so hopefully with a few more treatments it will be a bit more managable and we wont have to resort to meds.

As for the giggling i LOVE it! Seb started last week and its just georgous!

With feeding seb has become pretty good at it and will take about 20mins all up sculls it except for the feed before bed that usually goes for up to an hour which i dont mind.

Bottles - seb wouldnt take a bottle for a while there and i went back to work about a month ago now, turns out he just wouldnt take a bottle if i tryed to give it to him or if i was in the room So luckily he will take it off DF or my mum when im at work. Hasnt effected breastfeeding at all he still prefers his boob although sometimes he gets frustrated before let down which i can only assume is because the bottle is milk straight away. Usually only happens once im back from work.

Better find me blue book so i can see when his 4 month check up is!

illeyena - Zara is anywhere from 30-45min for a feed and then sometimes when she's fussing she is up to an hour.. i am prety sure thats still fine, Ava took an hour to feed at this age still.

Eluned - Amelia sounds like she is going brilliant, Zara does the heel dig when she's in bed and headbutts the top of the bassinet

jenjams - alice seems to have a decent sleep at night then, hopefully soon they will all start sleeping through.

AFM - Zara and Ava were BOTH against me yesterday, Ava slept 30min all day on top of the fact we went to a play centre for MG and she SHOULD have been wrecked.
Zara decided 45min sleep in 7hrs was fine for her Maybe she's startin to change her routine again.
At the moment she is awake from 1.5hrs to 2.5hrs then is sleeping 30min to 1.5hrs sometimes we get a longer one but that seems to be if she falls asleep in the car and i leave her there (we live on 10acres, massive driveway and lots of shade, no-one is stealing her and she's not getting too hot) or if she's in her swing.
Going shopping today to pick-up some lay-by's of Ava but have decided will buy Z some new clothes, she has a couple of things but is otherwise in all Ava's stuff... will be nice for her to have some HER clothes.

Teagz - that's a VERY valid point re; the flow and I was sooooooooooooooo FULL!! by her pre bed feed tonight she fed the full hour which is normal for her and my boobs were very thankful!

how long does everyone else's feeds take? is an hour too long still? and if not then those with older babies, when do they start shortening the feeds and less often? an hour feed every three hours is getting a bit much some days and while I am happy to do it for now I guess I just need a light shone at the end of the tunnel

sorry for hogging so many posts!!!
Yeah, my flow is crazy when i'm chockers! I'd say that is it. I think being three months now and not having a bottle often, I can't see how she would get confused? But, I'm no expert either.

Jackson takes about 20 minutes usually... maybe half an hour if he's fallen asleep

DS's feeds take around 20 mins total, including burping!! He is a real little hoover though. I haven't tried him on a bottle of EBM yet and am thinking I may have left it too late now. I haven't needed to but I have a couple of bottles of EBM in the freezer so may give it a go at some stage.

We have no giggling here yet, but he does a smile where he gurgles at the same time and I think it is kind of a laugh. He is soooo close to rolling now, and can move himself around in circles by pushing his heels into the ground.

We are also having issues with catnapping here, although we usually get one decent nap a day.

He was going through the night until around 3am or so, then feeding and sleeping for another couple of hours but lately he is back to three hourly feeds every night! Grrr, not sure how to go back to what we had, but I think maybe he is having a growth spurt so hopefully he will go back to longer sleeps soon. He is sooo big, I have really noticed how much more quickly he has grown compared to DD.

I can hardly believe they are coming up to 4 months either - where did the time go?!

A little woohoo here - this morning Amelia rolled from her tummy to her back for the first time! I put her down on her playgym mat thing on her tummy and quickly dashed to the loo and when I came back she was on her back! Then at playgroup today, I put her down on her tummy and all she kept doing was rolling onto her back. But tonight she didn't want to have a bar of it so Daddy has yet to see his little girl roll! So exciting, DS did everything late so I'm utterly surprised when DD does things!

    Hi everyone,

Go Amelia and Caroline. Woohoo for rolling.

Well, our beautiful sleeping booby fed baby is no longer sleeping so well. She's decided that at approximately 3.30am each morning, to hold an impromptu concert. We're all invited to hear her croon, ooh, aah, squeal with delight, and try out every sound and syllable combination she can. Her concerts rival Pink for stamina....at least 2 hours each time. I've tried giving her some boob juice at concert interval, but she continues to TALK WITH HER MOUTH FULL!!!!!! *sigh* Although it's crazy to be up at that time, we just can't keep but thinking how adorable it really is. Cue the over-enthusiastic Mum who thinks she will be the next Kelly Clarkson or similar.

Also, our little girl is teething. I have been thinking it was just teeth moving in her gums, but, she's definitely teething. Low fever, general irritability, fussing over one boob in one position (gums rubbing, I think), drooooooooling, droooooooling and droooooling some more, rubbing of mouth/lips etc up to ear, wanting to suck, wanting her dummy (which she doesn't normally have), and the biggest give away: red, inflammed gums where the first teeth are going to come. *sigh* poor little thing. She will be 15 weeks on Tuesday, and as my Mum keeps reminding me, I had my first two teeth at 4 months. Please, please let them poke through relatively quickly, as I think she is in a lot of discomfort.

Went shopping with my sister yesterday. Bought way too much for Darcey. Found this fantastic brand, called The Zipper Tree, which is based in Melbourne. This woman does reversible pinafores, a light denim on one size, and on the other uses beautiful japanese type print material. On each side is a bird, made of the other type of fabric. The pinafore has one button on one of the shoulders, so you can easily flip it one way or the other. Couldn't resist. Bought one for Darcey (size 2/3!!!!), plus the most beautiful box pleat, super thick and soft corduroy skirt, with fancy button on the side, which is size 1. I'm so excited. This was really the first shopping expedition, that I've actually bought things for her, for the pleasure of it. Not just having to buy her singlets or practical warmth etc. We bought from The Zipper Tree, from Unearthly Delights, Myer, David Jones, Pumpkin Patch (they have the cutest boy things at the moment, not so for girls). Plus, finally found some tights (thank god for Red Robin) that hopefully will fit for her baptism in 6 weeks. They are soooo cute, ivory colour with ruffles on the bum.

Really needed to get out with my sister yesterday. Have been quite down in the dumps, and retail therapy does help a lot. That and Chocolate

Anyway, got to go, my DH was going to put Darcey to bed, and me to wash-up, got to keep up my end of the bargain.

    Take Care,
    Petal

no, no AF here. I'm BF'ing, plus the mini pill, which I'm not taking very regularly, maybe 2 or 3 in a week . So, no AF at all. Not worried from a contraception point of view: Darcey is a pure miracle. Not worried about not having AF either!

No AF back here either. Not too fussed although I have wondered at times when she'll show up. With DS it came back at 7months.

I never got AF back at all after having my DD so have not seen her since May 07. I just fell preggers again when DD was 16 months all and still breastfeeding! I am hoping for something similar this time, but time will tell.
