    Hi girls,

Just a quick one from me. I've been to the dr with Lexie today, she's got a bad cough, cold & high temps. Apparently it's a virus & I've just got to keep doing what I have been with her. She's finding it hard to feed & keeps fussing at the breast so I've been giving her a couple of bottles to give her a bit more breathing space when she feeds. I'm exhausted today coz I was up all night with her, I'm used to her sleeping from 10.30pm til anywhere between 5.30 - 6.30am.

Also AF returned yesterday already. I wasn't expecting her to come for a while yet, I never got her back with DD1 til after I finished breastfeeding. Has anyone else got theirs back as well?

Hope you and your beautiful bubs are well.

Oh Leigh, You poor thing! I only bled for 2 weeks after and now its completley stopped , but I had a few issues with endo before the pregnancy, so I dont expect it to return for a very long time. Hope Lexie gets better soon. Harlee is still recovering from a bad cold/cough, but now I am really sick and run down. I blame it on the inlaws as they were sick last time they 'showed up' GRR!

leigh: bugger about a/f! mine rocked up with DJ at about 4 months. then was kind of on and off and i only had three before i fell with vic. but thus far no real signs of her showing her head. yet. aww poor lexi and mumma! i hope she feels better and you dont cop it. but it may help to b/f (or EBM it) to help her over it

Poopie: i wanna smack your inlaws up the side of the head with a HOT fry pan. are they *that* bad? i'd change the locks! my FIL was once like that too. but after dealing with me walking upto the door with a wet patch on my boob, a screamy baby with a poo filled nappy...he started knocking first

'Mar: just rember if you *do* get sick you'll be giving Mr C all your wonderful boobie anti-bodies to what ever it is you have. i hope the feeding is going better too. i can understand the struggle. question do you have a b/f pillow? have you tired the "foot ball hold" to see if attachment is better Ohh and a nipple sheald (if its attachment issues there) they can help. if you need to talk/vent you can PM me. ohh i'll PM you my mobile number too and see if we can catch up! (and if you need to vent you'll have my number!)

AFM: Vic saw the pead today. and he's just (by 100g lol) under 6kg! he's also 58cm long! BBL Vic just woke up!

sorry its taken me so long to get back lol!

but yesterday vic was weighed and all that. they're happy with how he is. the pead we saw was banging on about the menigitus. which i understand BUT they cant be 100% sure it was that. but hey. let them think that. they're doing a study into it. makes me wonder if its a common thing (Or if something they're doing is wrong ) but vic has gone from pooping every 2 days to every day X2! (or three like today!) but its all still that mustardy (baby poop yellow LOL!) colour. hes happy and all that. having more awake time now. which is nice. DJ is smiling and trying to 'cheer' vic up when he cries (i think lol) DJ is being fairly good minus the cold he has. which i will no doubt get. plus tomorrow im (hopefully) seeing a friend and her two girls have the sniffles. but quite frankly i dont care. im glad DJ is getting exposed to the colds and such now. saves it later when hes at kindy (and vic too lol) next week is off to the MCHN to be weighed and mesured (again lol!) and then the week after is the first lot of jabs. its sad but i think it'll get to me more *this* time (DJ never worried me too much) after all the crud-ola that Vics faced seeing him being jabbed twice more will really get to me i think

On a small Woohoo! note i got the best bargin from safe way. all you could pack into plastic (produce) bags for $2 each! ahh im in mushroom hevean right now i cant get enough of them or red meat! must be what my body needs with the b/f. not that i mind. i loooooove red meat and mushys with some onion (and tonight garlic chives!) also got some beet root to roast, sweet spud and snow peas, some brussel sprouts as well as a broli head and coliflower head. looks like the beef goolash will be rather...veggi'd up!

One poo every couple of days? Only two poos a day?!? That would be bliss!

My lump has quite the musical bottom, if he's not farting he's pooping. I think I've had 5 nappies without poop in the last 7 weeks. One of them was the overnight nappy last night though so maybe things are looking up

My toddler thinks it is fantastic. "Baby's farting!"

She's cute. Last night she gave him a big hug and a kiss and announced "I wuv the baby!"

    Hi Mummas!

Elf - I can't wait to have a bro or sis for my DS so I can see how he interacts with him/her. Must be so lovely to see your kids together and how older DD reacts to lump!

Dansta - the injections won't be too bad, promise! Lachlan only cried for like a second and then was totally fine, like nothing happened! The needles are so fine now they barely feel it. Vic will be FINE! And YAY for that bargain on food, what a SCORE!

Cmar - get well soon babes. No good being sick AND having feeding issues. Wish I could send you some of my "boobie num nums". I've got a stack in the freezer!!

Poopie - you get well soon also! *hugs*

Lexie - crap that your AF returned so soon I haven't got mine back and I've just started back on the mini pill. My GP said that BF and the mini pill my AF should be pretty much non existant... my question is, how will I know if I'm UTD again ?? (not that I'm planning on it!!).

Belle - Its you're wedding day today!!! YAY!! I hope you're having a wonderful time and feeling AMAZING! I can't wait to see the photos on FB. And Yeah, would be great to meet up with SAS if she's free also? Perhaps when your wedding stuff dies down and you're back to some sort of normality.

    HELLO everyone else!!

AFM - Busy busy busy week. Lachlan met up with 3 of his girlfriends and his bestie this week for play dates and so that Mum could have a catch up with her friends too. Also had my first mothers group AND went for a job interview. If I get this job there is a child care on site, so I'm going to place lachlan there 3 days/week. He'll be 3.5 months old if I start with this particular company and I feel comfortable leaving him at this particular child care because I will be working in the same building.. so can go and BF him during my lunch break or even at other times. Should hear something back re the job next week some time... REALLY hoping I get it. It's 3 days in the office, 1 day work from home and 1 day off! So excited at the idea of getting back to work...

Lachlan SLEPT for 6.5 hours last night... WOO FREAKING HOO!!! You have no idea how excited I was when I looked at the clock for his night feeding and realised how long he'd slept for... Oh, ok, maybe you ladies do! And then he slept until 6:30am! DH and I were SO REFRESHED! I am SO hoping this trend continues... at the moment its 2 steps forward, 1 step back.. so who knows what's going to happen, but definitely noticing that he's sleeping longer during the night, and going back to sleep quickly after his night feeds... which is a GOOD sign!

And on another note, DH and I still haven't DTD yet It's not me, I'm ready to get back in the sack, but DH is going through a bit of a depression and is currently taking medication for it, unfortunately is stuffing with his libido so our GP has reduced his dose by half. That and we've been quite tired as well... Starting to feel quite unattractive to my DH even though he convinces me that I'm still attractive to him. Even the bott bott pinching has stopped and the spontaneous passionate kisses aren't there anymore... not for want of me trying, but he's just not into it at the moment. Part of me wants to get "the first time after giving birth" over and done with cos I'm a bit worried about how it's going to feel... but DH doesn't want to BD at the moment. FRUSTRATING to say the least!!! Don't worry, lines of communication are well and truely open.. hoping he gets out of this funk SOON otherwise Lachlan may not have a brother or sister!! hehe

OK must go, dinner is ready, DH has put DS down and it's snuggle time on the couch!

    Happy Saturday Mummies!

The biggest DD doesn't react to him at all! All her teachers and other mums have seen me wandering around pregnant and now normal size, so *they* have had to stop me in the supermarket to ask what the baby was. She hasn't even bothered to tell anyone at school she has a little brother now!

The best she's done is jiggle him a bit in the bouncy bounce (its a bouncinette, DD#2 has given it a Yo Gabba Gabba style name) when he cries while I'm on the loo, which is nice, but then she runs off the instant I get out ...

    belle: Wooot. enjoy your wedding!

Erica: i think the whole needle thing is a little iffy with me after all the other needles vics had (they poke him for an ahour and 20mins for a long line) so i know two more isn't huge. but its still a another two on top of all the others he's had . ooo yay for catch ups with friends! sadly most of mine work/dont have kids/have nooo idea how hard it is to get out of the house with two babies (under two!) as for knowing your UTD? if your not sure.. POAS! (pee on a stick, lol)

Elf: aww. maybe she wanted another sister?

I don't think she wanted another sibling at all. But for ages she was telling us to "do sex and get a boy", because we need more boys in the house (we also have a female cat and at the time we had two hens as well), and then complained she hoped the ultrasound person didn't *really* see a doodle, then wanted to know how much this baby is going to cry (DD#2 was the noisy screaming model of baby). Her latest complaint is that the two little ones will gang up on her - which is probably true, but not something you really think about when you have a newborn.

He's a quiet baby and she's rarely home when he's awake and then doesn't pay any attention to him because he's not screaming.

That said, the other day I left him on the loungeroom floor to grab something expecting to need to come back in a minute when he started complaining, he didn't, I went back to see what was up and both girls were playing with him and wouldn't let me take him back

Dansta - yeah, I know how you feel about the needles. Lachlan was in the SCN with a tube down his nose cos of low blood sugars and he had to be heel *****ed 50 million times. His poor little heels were all black and blue afterwards and he cried when they did it. Honestly, the needles will distress you more than they distress Vic!

Elf - "do sex and get a boy"? ROFL! That is super cute, and way too knowledgable for a kiddie that little.

    Hello everyone else! Happy Monday!

AFM - we had a MIRACLE last night. Lachlan SLEPT from 8:30pm to 5am. WOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Then he went back to sleep at 5:20am and didn't wake until 7:30am. DH and I feel great this morning! I did keep on waking throughout the night cos I was waiting for Lachlan to wake, and DH got up a couple of times just to check he was still breathing. But all was fine! He's now sleeping some more... I put him down at 8:40 and it's now nearly 10am.. but OMG not having that night feed, my BBs went ROCK hard and sooooooooo FULL! I had to express one side cos it was just leaking everywhere... I got 120mL from one side AND he fed from that side after I expressed and was FULL. Oh the relief after expressing was devine..!

In other news... I GOT THE JOB! Working for a company called Sanofi Aventis 4 days a week, 1 day work from home and 3 days in the office. Managed to get Lachlan into Childcare for those 3 days that I am in the office and the childcare is in the same building. Had the interview on Thursday and they said no need for a second interview!! I must have wowed them I start beginning of october... Lachlan will be 3.5 months old. While I'm a bit sad I couldn't stay home with him a bit longer, I am SOOOOOOOOOO excited to be getting back to work. I feel so ready! The best part is that my day off will be Monday so I never have to worry about MONDAYITIS!! hehehe
Oh, I also asked about child care at my gym and they do childcare for $3.50 for 90 mins during the day. So excited! Can start back at the gym while DH is at work.

    Have a fabulous day!

elf: "do sex get a boy" she got what she wanted then ahh kids are good. i was on of those ones that said *exactly* what i was thinking...not much as changed. Ohh wait it has, i can hold off for a smidge longer now!

Erica: YaY on the job! i was umming and arrring about going back before i fell with Vic. but i'm no where near ready! i told DH i wanted to be a full time SAHM until the youngest was in kindergardten at least. but if the $$ comes to the crunch i'll go back part time to the local woolies/coles/iga deli. as for the needles. the hell pr!ck was the least of Vics worries. every day for 3 days at *every* feed he had his BSL checked. as well as 4 or 5 IM (intermucsular) needles when the IV line failed. so yeah, they wont worry him but i'm just over seeing my baby as a pin cushion! watch out for the lack of over night feeds - you'll be more likely you ovulate

AFM: Vic has been good. sleeping fairly well at night. had a HUGE sleep yesterday from 10:50am until 1pm 0_0 then from 3-5! DH finely set up my punching bag too. god i missed it lol. nothing like belting into something inaditmate when angry. better late then never seeing as i punched a door the other night out of anger (towards the stupid washing machine almost killing my fav, head wrap!) and ripped some skin off it. which propmted dh to set my bag up again. plus his weights are out there so i'll hopefully get fit again!
oo better go hang out the washing!

Oh, she's not little, she's almost 10 now. Kids her age (admittedly the fat ones) are getting boobs and periods. She knows EVERYTHING about sex, as in "Gabe said sex is when a boy puts his doodle in your fanny. EWWWWW that's gross!" so I don't need to get a chastity belt yet. Soon, though, she's one of the tallest and prettiest girls in the class and she's used, abused and cast off several boyfriends already.

Has anyone else noticed that toddlers seem to be wired to think babies are cool? I took the baby to playgroup and he got spotted by a small flock of toddlers, who gathered around to look at him for aaaages. He was awake and in a good mood so he was smiling at them. Some of them tried to carry him off, kiss him, give him toys etc

Argh! Lumpfeatures has reached the limit of two of the 000 onesies!

Is this what I get for having a 75th percentile looooooong baby?

He's in the 6 week growth spurt at the moment, has been for a while. He's back to 2 hourly feeds at night.

Got the jabs today.. my mum came with me and we were both in tears. Harlee only screamed for a minute. its so depressing, I feel for you Erica & Dansta, that must have been horrible having to see your boys be jabbed lots

elf: i sooo understand that! Vic is just above the 75% too and is in the 90th% for weight. hope lump starts to settle for you. vic did the 2 hrly feeds and when he calmed down it took my boobs 3 days to follow! but DH's comment? "ooo nice cleavage!"

Poopie: its hard. but they soon forget. yep, it was hard seeing vic get jabbed. but it was harder when we didn't have a clue what was 'wrong' even now they 'think' it was meningitis. they'll never know. hope Harlee is ok (im sure she will be) she may snooze more though. but tis normal!

AFM: Went to the MCHN today. Vic (i finaly asked LOL!) is on the 90th% for weight and just above the 75th% for height. happy with how he's going too which is nice! such a change from DJ. DJ has had two molar points pop though and an eye tooth (EVIL THINGS) over the last 48hrs! poor poppet has been a "cling on" to daddy! but he's been good today. inc. stealing part of my coliflower and white sause bake! cheeky little thing. Vic's been feeding really well. i even did my first "you have no idea i'm breast feeding feed" today. while printing out some photos for MIL's birthday pressie. sat with vic in the sling picking them/editing them. which again was nice. i told DH that i might get a shirt made up for public bf. "Warning, breastfeeding in process. don't like it? dont look. you pervert!" but heres hoping it wont come to that!
Ohh when i saw my MCHN today she asked if DH and I had any plans for a 3rd. which i said "kind of. we're not 100% sure yet" and she made the comment "Ohh you need to give your body a rest. two babies in two years..." which i nicely told her "well from a phyisoligal POV, my body is *meant* to be birthing babies. the look on her face LOL.
But DH and I have said 2yrs min. between Vic and a possable 3rd. which would make Vic 2 (or 3) and DJ 3 (or 4). which im happy with. seeing as DH bought it up *and* even said we should "aim" for a early march baby or an early december baby due to star signs. (and birthday gaps lol)
oo gotta go my boobies are needed lol.
