Took me ages to try and find this. I was wondering if we still had one, I kept seeing lots of 16-30 June threads, and was thinking, where is ours?! There was probably some quicker way I could've gotten to it, but oh well.

How is everyone's babies (or toddler!) going? Lily ate up a storm at lunch today - yay! Not really worried about her eating, but I do like to see her have the big meal every once in a while.

We went swimming at the pools yesterday, as its been a while since we went for a swimming lesson and Lily has been really scared of water lately ( ). She really enjoyed the pool, so that was good. Will need to make more effort to go more often, although, as much as I would love to continue our swimming lessons, we really can't afford it at the moment.

I wonder if any new parents may join in our discussions?

Is that a pregnancy record I see? Wwooohhoo-congratulations ! I'm thrilled for you

Dd is going really well, she's eating super well and this week has started mimicking our words which is great because I was gettIng worried about her speech. She has great comprehension but very few words until recently. She's also improved her walking and no longer staggers around in a drunken fashion I feel like we have seen this amazing transformation in the last couple of months from a baby to a little girl. She astounds me with the things she does.

Ds is still a drunky!!! Hee hee.

He was also a bit confronted at the pool the other day Tubbles - we definitely need to take him more often.

Starangelk - ds astounds me too. He seems to do more that ds1 did at his age (not physically though), although I could easily just be forgetting, or maybe having an older example running around that does it. And yay on the talking - it tends to happen in explosions I find.

Ahaha, yes! Finally got a bfp!!! Hopefully having a dating scan next week, and then we'll tell everyone

Lily recently had a word explosion. I can understand her needs and wants better now, even if some of her words are just the first syllable.

Lily doesn't walk any more, everything can only be done at a running pace lol! Where did my little baby go??

Trying to toilet train atm, with not much luck. We had a random hop on the potty by herself and do a wee a few months ago, but nothing since (dp had an instant reaction of 'no!' as she tried to put her hands in it). I don't really mind cleaning the mess tho, it's so cute to see her little bare bum running around :P

How did your dating scan go tubbles?

Both my boys have just had (well ds2 still has it) gastro, NOT FUN! It's the first time they've had it, I've never had it so hopefully I don't get it too! I think was from a little boy who came over for Mothers Group on Tuesday, his mother was telling us how sick he was on the weekend and she had to take him to hospital...um...??? This mother is often turning up to MG and saying things like "yeah, he's not himself today, he's a bit hot" ??? And letting other kids eat off the same spoon as him etc too. Apart from that stuff she is really nice, but what the??

Haha, not even thinking about TT over here. When ds2 starts to show signs of being aware of all that stuff we will, ds1 TT really quickly and easily so hopefully we will have the same experience next time!

I had given up on TT, when she surprised me and did a wee in the potty while I was in the other room!! (although I had given up on the idea that she was ready for TT, she is still a nudist baby. I usually just keep an eye on her and ask her throughout the day if she is ready for a nappy, or I just clean up the mess, which isn't really a biggy for me)

Dating scan puts us due on 8th July, which means I was 12 weeks on Christmas day (and 14 weeks this Sunday). Wanted to have a home birth, but its just too expensive, and Chris doesn't see it as a "good investment" of our money I have luckily gotten myself on to the caseload at Lismore though (which I missed out on with Lily, and means I will see the same midwife the whole time, during and after, and may mean that I can have a water birth), but am also looking at going to Mullumbimby (further away, but I have been told its really nice) and have spoken to the team there to get on to their caseload, and am hopefully going to check out their birthing centre sometime over the weekend with Chris (They are all about natural births there, and the mums going home asap, and I can also have Lily there if I want and Chris can also stay the whole time while I am in hospital, which was a biggie, cos he couldn't when I was at Lismore and made it really hard on both of us, as Lismore is like 40 odd kms away)

Otherwise, DD is talking so much now. She can get most points she wants across, and can almost tell a story with the use of several words, and me filling in the gaps for her She loves dancing, and often will pull me to the stereo and say "on. dancing dancing" lol. She has probably watched way too much tv of late, with watching DVDs in our 10 hour trip to Sydney (only about 8 of driving though, seemed we spent a lot of time stopping to let her and our dog run around), and with the MS I have been a bit lazy. The sun is out though, and hopefully I can motivate myself to get to the beach, soon before it gets too hot. Already gave up on the idea of riding our bike there though :P

We are going to start TT soon - ds has been telling me when he's done a poo and sometimes asking for a 'nice clean nappy on', so I think that counts as ready. I bought a potty the other day but when I got home and put ds on it it was too small - he was crammed up against the front of it, so I've got to go find the other sort we had with ds1. It was really easy TT ds1 so hopefully I get the same stress-free experience this time, cos I've been spoilt haha!

Glad you've got a good hospy Tubbles! Sounds awesome. Lovin the sound of a water birth - if I ever manage to get utd again I will be having a look into that, I've heard some great things.

Awesome about Lily's dancing and talking!! Ds is talking heaps too, it is so so so cute. He is the funniest little thing. He has had a developmental spurt with language again recently AND also with sleeping!!!! AWESOME! He hasn't been a bad sleeper for a while, but I would often get a wake-up in the night, and he would usually get up pretty-early in the morning, but now he has been sleeping through v consistently and sleeping till 7 (and sometimes 8!) which is SO nice. Ds1 still gets up early but is trained to go to the toilet quietly, then turn on my computer and navigate to a website he can play on, while eating the banana I leave out for him hahahahaha. So I feel like I am really hitting a sweet-spot with the two of them.

Wow. Do your boys want to come teach Lily how to sleep? It's been so long since I've had a good sleep lol.

It's amazing how fast they seem to develop. Lily and I have conversations and I'm in awe of her memory!

    Hi mamas!
Do you mind if I join this thread? I think the late June thread isn't active anymore and I'm still interested in connecting with mums of kids the same age. In saying that I keep in touch with my belly buddy group on FB too do not totally out of touch, but i do miss the group thread on BB.

to untold angel! Still keeping my promise to drive up and visit you once I'm open mat leave!!

Anyhoo, I'm due with #2 in a few weeks and I really wanted to push back a few things until #2 was older and we got back into summer again - namely toilet training. However, after a bout of gastro last weekend it seems as though DS has learnt what a poo poo is and now doesn't want to poop in his nappy do he's holding it in and becoming a bit constipated. DH and I got out the potty this week but I don't think he quite got it. I really don't want to deal with TT until the weather gets warmer but I don't know if I can avoid it.

Looking forward to getting to know you all

    Hi Blackrose

We are currently tt and its............interesting! We waited until after Ds was born and also find that dd holds. I have resorted to bribing her to sit on the potty and we are gettinglots of success that way. Can't say I ever thought I'd be rewarding just for sitting on the potty but hey, it's working

Congratulations on number 2. We are having so much fun with 2 kids - it's fabulous!

Looking forward to getting to know you.

Hi Blackrose! I used to be in the ttc thread with you, ages ago - can't believe you are nearly due, how exciting! This thread is v quiet but maybe some new blood will perk it up!

I was reading up a few entries to where I was talking about my ds2 sleeping like a champion - BA-BOW, not so much at the moment! He's actually been a pain to get to bed for the last few nights as well, which hasn't happened for ages.

starangelk - for just an instant when I read 'tt' I thought you said 'ttc' and I was like <double-take> O.O Heh heh.

It's been 2 years since anyone has popped in to the group. Although I think most of us are all friends on Facebook these days. But for the few who aren't, I was just wondering how everyone was. Oooh and I used to be Mrs Hendo.
