dont cry nay i love u :)
yeah we all love ya hun - don't fret! lol
have created a page for the first weekend in october - but that was just grabbing a random date - we will work together to plan something!
Oh girls that sounds great that you are going to do another meet up for the zoo or something! :) I want to take Cara and Laura to Australia Zoo or something sometime this year.
Vic: Sorry to hear about the inlaws. Glad you have a few days of breathing space. Hopefully things will sort themselves out. And with Cerys head circ; Laura was off the chart a bit in her head circumference (she was around 47cm at 9mths), but she's healthy and fine. She was a tall baby (still is) so everything was a bit bigger. The 'stunt show' on the gold coast is awesome! That's at Movieworld (about 20 min from where I live). Dreamworld is pretty much on the otherside of the motorway! Seaworld is about 1/2 an hour away compared to those two.
Naomi: So excited that Bailey is making moves!! Determined little guy! He sounds more mobile than Cara!! She just manages to roll and drag herself a bit. No bum shuffles at all. Very determined to get any tv remote control in the house!! She knows those who hold it have THE POWER!!! hehe
Cara says a lot of words now...Dadda, Bubba, etc and loves to whisper FaFa LOL (maybe she's trying to swear but she knows it's a naughty word). Ofcourse not. And I NEVER swear!! :P Shucks I even hear my own Mother swear occasionally now....it's the weirdest thing when you never heard your parents swear when you were a kid. It's funny hehe
Oh...Yasmin turns 13 tomorrow!! Wow....my first baby. 13 years ago I was excited and scared of having my first baby, wondering if she was a boy or a girl and preparing myself for my very first caesarean (she was breech). And it was then....that I became a Mum, way back in 1997. (Krystie! Happy Birthday to your DSS too!)
Cathy: Happy birthday to Yasmin, and happy birthing day to you. 13 years! I just can't believe my kids are going to be teenagers one day, LOL! I keep telling DH that their just going to jump from 10yo to 20. Looooove the image of Cara whispering "fafa", PMSL!! That's so cute.
Naomi: Wooooohooooo! @ Bailey on the move! Very exciting, mate. I think we should be up for another meet-up but I don't know if my anxiety levels will cope with a weekend... (Nothing to do with the company, I assure you!) I will see how I am feeling closer to the time. I would probably need to bring the whole crowd and perhaps you'd pass on spending a weekend with us! I'll definitely manage another day trip at least though later in the year. Zoo sounds like a great spot.
Great that you are feeling good about work atm. I am sure the feelings will change back and forth (mine certainly have), but you will cope cause you are strong as. And I am sure once you get back to work you will enjoy it! You will miss him, but it makes the time with him sweeter :)
BG: I am very sorry for your depression of late. It's so hard seeing those we love who were once so vibrant so sick. Every now and again DH will see a photo or something and have a cry for his mum. We can speak of her happily now, and I have to keep telling myself that the woman I saw on the last day was really not the woman I knew at all. She was so different, so frail and so very sick. It's just like it wasn't her at all, KWIM? It helps me to know that the frailty wasn't her - it was the illness. I hope you can see that in your mind too - that your cousin's frailty was just his illness, not his spirit. I hope the funeral is a healing time.
Jacinta: What time do you guys eat? I like the girls to eat with me (DH doesn't get home til after 7 most nights) but I'm finding it hard to stretch Phoebe out past 5:30... it feels too early and I'd love her to hold out til at least 6 but she starts getting REALLY cross and hungry!
Sponge baths, baby. Or will he sit in the shower? A friend used to sit bubs in a baby bath in the shower while she showered. I am so unco, I'd no doubt fall over the bath, but it could be worth a shot if he'll sit because you're in there with him.
Vic: Ah, family politics! How irritating! Hoping you are enjoying your little reprieve, LOL! Sorry to hear about the referral for head issues, but like you, I would rather just go and rule out the slight possibility of something being wrong. I was happy to take P to the paed for her eyes and limbs, but in my mind I knew she was absolutely fine. Just couldn't believe the cost... and now I am working in the same hospital, collecting the same kind of money for another dr, LOL!
Nicky: I hope Allira is feeling better? Phoebe has had a temp a couple of times, but I think each time it has been some kind of cold virus - she's always been "stuffed up" in the nose at the same time, and very thirsty so probably sore throat too. Nope, sounds like more than teeth. Hope she's better now.
Krystie: Eeek! @ you having a teen in the house too! I hope all's getting better now with Kyson - any teeth through yet? Waking 2-hourly is a toughie, particularly when you've loads of work to do too. Hope it eases for you soon and you can get a bit of rest time.
Nic: Babe, I'm very sorry for the news about Aaron's fluid levels. Hoping the neuro can set your mind at ease a little (hopefully by squeezing you in sooner) and give you the answers you're after. Out of interest, which hospital are you taking him to? My dr is at Westmead Pvt, but I imagine you are going to the kids' hospital? Thinking of you, mate.
Bridg: Sorry to hear you are having to deal with the hip thing too. I hope the u/s shows nothing untoward and that he gets the all-clear. Sorry you have been down too. Hoping things look up for you soon, sweety.
Bella: Hope you're doing well, mate. Once I get a couple of paychecks under my belt I'll be ordering one of your delicious wraps.
Thanks for the kind words about CC, ladies. I'm just disappointed cause she's still so little, but I am sure she'll do fine. I am speaking to the CC director today and she's pretty much booked in for next Friday, we just need to do some orientation first (whatever that involves - that's what we'll be talking about today).
I have my second day at the office today. I've been up since 5 (fed Phoebe who had a lovely long sleep after stuffing around all afternoon/evening and refusing to go down til 9 even though she was impossibly tired) cause it didn't seem worth going back to bed for 45 minutes after the feed. This post has filled in the time very nicely, LOL!
Natty appeared at our bedroom door yesterday morning - she had gotten out of bed and opened her door. I knew she would do it at some stage, and I'm just glad it happened in the morning and not the middle of the night, LOL! She also slept all night last night, which is a relief - I half expected her to appear by my bedside at 3am.
Thanks Amy, the neuro is at Westmead Private which is where we are having the CT next Monday and then his consult on the 26th.
His name is Mark Dexter....who are you working for?
well we eat at all different times but we ate at 7 last night
Hi everyone!
Well Logan's appointment for his hip ultrasound is Monday the 15th at 11.30am. He is also getting a visit from Vision Australia that morning, and then he has the MCHN in the afternoon. I got him into the pead today, and we go and see him on the 16th March.
Vic- Sorry to hear about the IL's. Good to hear that you have some time away from them though.
BG- I bet E had a ball playing in the puddles. I can't wait until I can take Logan for a splash.
OMIGOD - I've been RAK'd!! Was it one of you lovely ladies? I'm so excited I think I might cry
:leap:
congrats nay :) see ppl do love u
What happens when you get RAK'd???
RAK = Random Act of Kindness. Its almost Belly Belly's birthday and they have the RAK going (same as last year) where if someone renews or pays for a membership BB will let them choose another member renew or upgrade to platinum also! It's all anonymous! Some beautiful person choose me!I've had an extra year added on to my platinum!! How frigin awesome is that? I am so inspired by the kindness, so I've paid it forward!!
I have been rak'ing (hahahaha) my brain all night trying to work it out, and although I thought I knew at first, I actually have NO IDEA LOL - I'm reasonably sure it was one of you guys though!! Who-ever it was - I LOVE YA!!
I love all the RAKing going on!
Guess what?! Kyson took his first solo step today! He's been practising his standing unaided like crazy the last few days and can now go minutes without holding onto anything. I got about 2 minutes of footage on my camera tonight of him standing and not holding onto anything while his watched his big brother playing the guitar. Well, this afternoon while we were home alone (of course!) he was standing and I kept saying "come to Mummy" and putting my arms out to him. Then he took a step! Just one, but he didn't fall over, he just kept standing, lol! I'm a very proud mumma right now :)
Oh, and yes I cried!
gorgeous go kyson xoxox
jamie might do that if he wasnt always trying to climb me lol especially at the kitchen sink
Krystie: Oh my goodness!! Kyson is walking!!! That's so exciting Krystie!! He is one determined little guy! :) So he is the first of all the May babies to walk??? Well done Kyson! And he hasn't even been using a walker or anything? Just practising standing up? Wow. Some babies are just ready early. :) I have no doubts Cara will take her time like my other 3 hehe. She does try to pull herself up a little...but she's so heavy, I think it's a bit of an effort for her hehe. She's just happy to drag herself on her tummy here and there.
Maybe Jamie will be next Jacinta??
Naomi: That's awesome about the RAK. What a wonderful belly belly lady to do that for you!
Saw a story that was on msn or something today.
Woman given caesarean without anaesthetic This happened to me when I had Yasmin via caesarean. Well they did give me anaesthetic, but it wasn't enough for my tall frame (apparently they gave me the wrong dose). I felt them cut me and stitch me up etc. I had legs of lead in recovery. Yassie was almost an only child because of this. I was in tears in the operating room (for the wrong reasons). Thankfully Yassie was born healthy and well. I am so thankful to have had two WONDERFUL vbac births (Ronan and Cara). I did have to have another caesarean in 2006 (Laura) as she was breech, and I was freaking out about that before I had it, but they did a good job the 2nd time round. It was a breeze in comparison.
We are off to see a paed on Tuesday about CJ's head size got in on a cancellation - doc said will probably do a full developmental review (apart from rolling which am not worried about pretty sure she is doing all things she should be). Haven't been to see a paed before, is there anything I should make sure take with me (DH can't come but will take his head measurement with me)?
Yay for the RAK's! They are such a cool thing to do.
I had a bit of a mummy spack last night. Not my finest moment at all, and I ws so upset with myself. Anyway, today is a new day, and I'm determined NEVER to go that spaz ever again.
Hubby laughed at me, which made things worse at the time. I can laugh about it now, but sheesh.
Allira's alot better. No more runs thankfully, but she's still exploding from that end constantly. I was giving her some nappy free time this morning, and my floor mat copped it. So I have already hosed it down and have it hanging outside to dry. Might take a few days.... the mat was swimming. LOL
Other than that... same old. Boring me. haha. AF is being mean again.
I'm so tired even though we had a half decent night. Blah.
Bring on tomorrow so I can get everything out when I smash the ball at tennis.
Vic good luck today with the pead! I saw a pead with Lachie for a completely different reason, but don't remember taking anything special. Just the blue book.
If it's any help, Lachie's head was 47.8cms at 8 months. His head was 50.3cms at 23 months, so slowed down a TONNE! Hubby's got a big head, so that's where it comes from.
Gotta have lots of room to house the mega brains of these intelligent kids :)
All the best!
Vic: I just thought I'd let you know that I measured Cara's head before..and it is 47cm too! She looks just fine to me. :) Laura's head seemed bigger..maybe cause she had no hair? I always thought Cara had a smaller head (well she did at birth). I have a big head myself, so does my Dad, and Cara's Dad and Grandad too. Hope the trip to the Pead goes well.
I just measured Cara's height (lying her down, head against the wall). She was 76cm! Off the chart hehe She's almost 11kg now at 8mths.
Big sister Laura (who turns 4 in april) was 110cm! And she's about 20kg!
Do you guys have blue books for your babies? Cara's is red, Laura's was red, and Ronan's was brown. Yassie had an old non covered book with babies on the front of hers. No plastic back covers back then. Bit of stupid trivia.
Ahh Nicky, we all have spacks sometimes hehe
i had one when i was a baby and im 22 they must have been around longer in vic i think she said they were yellow
Ahhhh well I'm showing my age here..I don't have one. I just have a little immunisation booklet. Or maybe Mum threw my baby book out years ago? All i have is a birthday card (with pages in it to record baby weight, first things etc and even then Mum didn't record much..2nd child and all). My first baby photo I am probably 4-6 weeks old!!!
I don't think I had one, I was born in Vic 26 years ago.... OH so long now....
One of my bridesmaids had her 2nd bub today - 10lbs 10oz - Far out!! Her first baby was 11lbs 12oz! She's had gestational diabeties both times hence the huge bubs. Another boy so Bailey will have another play mate :)
Vic- I used to take my yellow books for the boys when they saw the pead.
Nicky- I don't even know what they had when I was a bubba, and I'm 26 too. (God I felt old as I was typing that). We are all allowed spaz attacks every now and again. Good that you get to take it out at tennis.
Naomi- I had a rough idea about the RAK thing, but didn't realise they were doing a heap of them.
Krystie- Yay for Kyson!! So clever!! I saw the video of him on FB that DH recorded.
AFU, We are off to Geelong tomorrow to move my sister. Have a crying bubba, so will BB Tomorrow or Sunday
just about to head to bed - not having a great day - miss muffet seems to be having bad teeth issues. BAD today - going from happy smiley girl one minute, to screaming, trying to rip mummy's skin off so i can get closer the next. very draining. don't want to go to bed - dont want her to wake up and want me again. i'm emotionally drained. she hasn't wanted to sleep has just gone from wanting me to wanting to be as far from me as possible - without actually letting go! sigh! been a bad arvo!
BG - is today any better?
so far she has been pretty good - is eating lunch now - it was later in the arvo that things went pear shaped yesterday so i'm waiting patiently to see what happens...
Fingers crossed for an easy arvo!!
I think we have hit wonder week status here.... day naps going pear shaped is always a bit of a sign..... but seems pretty tame so far **knocks on wood**
thought i'd tell u guys first :) a HPT confirmed that i am UTD due 22/10/2010 plz dont spill on FB till i do
Jacinta - Congratulations - saw your FB status and guessed as much. Like you said great Valentines Day for you guys.
Wowsers J - thats awesome, hope you get the pink bundle you are after, if not, as you and I know, little boys ROCK!! You've made me clucky!! :)
Jacinta: Congratulations, sweety! All the best for a wonderful 9 months!
BG: Hope little E has been more settled.
Nay: Congrats to your friend - lovely big bubba. And congrats to you on the RAK - I think that's lovely. Hope Bailey doesn't get to unsettled with the WW.
Bridg: Hope you coped ok with the moving. I hate moving - us or other people, LOL.
Cathy: Hey look - you've been RAK'd too!!
I think the books used to be different colours in different areas? Both my girls have blue books, but they are a different style now. I must get Phoebe weighed and measured but so far all her life she has been on the 50th for weight and height and bigger for head. Cara is a big girl, but I think they all tend to look very similar by toddling age.
Krystie: YAY for Kyson walking!! That's awesome. What a clever little man!
We have orientation for Phoebe tomorrow. I will take in all her enrollment forms and we'll have a play in the creche room so she can get a bit of a feel for the place. Then she'll have her first day on Friday. I'm going to ask my folks to pick her up early so it's just a short one for her.
We're having lots of rain here atm, which is lovely for the earth but it's driving Natty a bit stir crazy. We might have to brave the shops or something this afternoon because I think otherwise I'm going to have to lock myself in my room to escape my children.
Hope you guys are all having a good weekend.
Oh wow congrats Jacinta on a BFP...here is hoping for a pink bundle of love :)
Amy good luck for Phoebe orientation tomorrow!!
Well tomorrow is Aaron's CT scan  I have tried not to think about it too much but then all these crazy thoughts keep coming into my head.
Anyway once it's done it done and we will know what the plan will be.
Anyway must away as DS is calling for his BB
congrats J
Amy - good luck with the orientation and first day of day care this week
Nicole - thinking of you tomorrow - hope you get some news on the results sooner rather than later (and that its better news than you fear it will be!)
E is having an ok day today - hoping she keeps it up tomorrow. 2.5hour trip to the funeral, leaving when she'd normally still be sleeping, possibly overwhelmed by a lot of extended family that have yet to meet her... and DH still doesn't know if he's working or not so no idea if i'm going just with my folks or whether he is coming too. my cousin was absolutely adamant that he doesnt' want people taking time off work to say goodbye (they'd tried for sat funeral but couldn't) so i won't allow DH to miss work. just need to know if it's going to rain more and rain him off - or clear up. sigh - i just don't know! not coping real well with it - i need him there for me, but i understand that he needs to work while work is available
thanks guys
hope everyone else is going good
good luck to aaron for his ultrasound 2moro xoxox
Congrats J on your pregnancy! Who's next? It's certainly not me!!
haha
All the best for tomorrow Nicole. Will be thinking of you.
Hi everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful Valentines day. We forgot until after lunch, and , well just way too busy with life in general. LOL. I prefer Mothers day anyway ;)
Well my plan would be Winter 2012 (am convinced winter babies are best) so I doubt I would be next although somtimes things don't go to plan I suppose.
We didn't do anything really for Valentines day, DH got me some Lindt Chilli Chocolate but I was desparate for chocolate on Friday night (after depressing conversation with work, not sure what is going to happen there) - so he let me have it early. He got a card CJ and I had made including a cherry juice hand print from her and a cherry juice lip print from me! I also got a bit of a lie in and poached eggs on toast for brekky and curry for lunch but that is not really unusual for a Sunday. We aren't really into any occasions particularly, in fact I have been feeling guilty after hearing the chatter on here and IRL because are not really planning anything for CJ's first birthday - we will be in Sydney for a wedding reception that weekend so figured that would do.
Nicky - Well this year will be my first mothers day so maybe I will get into that, maybe I should tell CJ because I am English living in Australia I need to celebrate both Mother's days (March 14th this year in UK)
Nicole - Fingers crossed for tomorrow for you. We are looking forward to the NRL starting up soon (although the Indigenous match wasn't on TV here). The AFL and the NRL starting up makes me look forward to Winter.
BG - Hope all goes well tomorrow, and you had a nice day in the garden with DH and E
Amy - Hope Phoebe is all orientated by tomorrow arvo. We had a bit of rain here on Thur/Fri and I was hoping would freshen things up a bit but still felt pretty sticky to me yesterday
Bridg - I think moving someone else is easier than moving yourself but packing and unpacking are still about my least favourite thing in the world. If we can ever get ourselves out of this 2 bed the next place we live in will be it - we have hardly any stuff as moved around so much haven't accumulated it but still I hate it - in fact I was pregnant last time we moved so didn't have to do so much - fingers crossed I can time it like that again :D
Naomi - Hows Bailey's WW going? Love the new photos you have put up of him - the ones with the tissues are especially cute
Krystie - Well done to Kyson - you said you walked early didn't you?
Cathy - CJ's is 47cm too but she is a fair bit smaller than Cara about 71 and 9kg but her head does look in proportion to her body - she has a very big rib cage like her dad - they commented on it when she was born. Her head was big but not that huge when born but was all squashed and long (even though she was c-section in the end) so I think is just it rounding out!
Vic - totally agreed, I would love to have another winter baby, so much easier to keep them warm than cool in this climate, I hope to join you in 2012 - wouldn't it be hilarious to end up as belly buddies again :) We took Bailey out for a picnic dinner late this arvo/evening and I was inspired seeing CJ's pics enjoying the playground and we found Bailey loves slippery dips, climbing tunnels and swings (was laughing his head off on the swing, very cute). I say go with both Mothers Days, you have to be true to your heritage after all!! LOL I was lucky enough to enjoy my first Mothers Day last year due to Bailey's early arrival and it was lovely
Krystie - I would have cried too, thats so awesome re Kyson's walking, he certainly is following in his Mummy's footsteps (literally it seems). One of my GF was asking about your nappy covers so I have sent her all the website info, hope you get a sale out of it. They want a spunky cover for the first birthday cake slam shot LOL
Nicky - hope you knocked on wood when you said the next one wouldn't be you LOL
Nicole - I will be thinking of you guys tomorrow and hoping that all goes well and you get some good news. I know I struggled with Baileys hip dysplasia stuff at first and one of the reasons was I thought the universe was being way too cruel, after all the infertility and IVF stuff I just thought we deserved a break and some good news. I think you guys need a frigin break too - sheesh!! It's not fair, you should just be able to ENJOY your little boy without all this worry! I have EVERYTHING crossed!
Amy - hope Phoebe's adventures at child care go smoothly this week for you, and I hope the job is going well too. Has the rain settled there or did Natty drive you bonkers? hehehehe Hope you are well!
BG - I hope tomorrow is a fitting send off and a not too stressful for you. I can understand that you would prefer DH to be their for moral and emotional support, but know that we will all be thinking of you mate
J - I bet you are still on cloud 9! My little brother and I are only 18 months apart in age and have a wonderful relationship, as no doubt Jamie and his little brother or sister will, as they will have lots of fun growing up so close in age. Congrats again!
Cathy - Love Cara's photo's discovering her shadow, soooo cute. Bailey is IN LOVE with his own reflection and loves to play in the mirror. I am not sure if he realises its him, I think he thinks its another baby. Someone told me to put a sticker on their forehead and see if they reach for their owon or their reflections head - was it one of you girls? I must try it LOL! Congrats on your RAK, you deserve it, - now that you are platinum you will have to organise a hot spunky avatar like the rest of us - Hooray!!
As I mentioned we went down to Semaphore (a beach) this arvo and had fish and chips and a play and a stroll along the beachfront, a lovely relaxing and even romantic end to a pretty lazy sunday. We dont do valentines gifts now that we are an old married couple LOL, but it was nice to have a family day!
Hi Everyone else, hope you are all well :)
Nay
x
Oh Naomi - I've already had 2 pregnancy scares, so it wouldn't surprise me at all........
I can't wait to hear about all the round 2 (and possibly 3+ ) babies coming along. It will make me feel like an aunty, seeming as none of my sisters or SIL's will get a move on!
Thanks ladies for all your well wishes....I am not one for  but tonight I would give up ANYTHING for a good result from the CT scan.
Naomi, yes with all the IVF BS you would think we would be given a break to just enjoy these little ones...but like me I am sure you wouldn't want to be without these little men even with the issues we are dealt.
BTW congrats on the RAK!! Well done
Vic, DH was super happy last night with the footy on....smiles from ear to ear dreaming that Aaron would play for the Dragons one day.....my answer to that is NOT :shakehead:
