hi all
traylee - hope you got the lice under control!
tiff - hi! I'd be lost without my computer! Nice avitar
sleepy - hope you had a nice busy day
marni - how are the hives??
hi everyone else, hope you're having lovely weekends.
AFM: Evelyn slept better last night after her post-needle craziness. Went down at 8, took a little bit to settle for the night but didn't wake until 3am (not quite the 4am that we'd been getting, but much better than being awake all night!) but then wanted to be awake after sleeping all day. It took me till 5am to get her back to sleep but then she slept till 8am. Today she seems to be back to her normal cat-napping self. Still not overly hungry though, only taking one side at each feed. Her eczema is settling down after a few days using the hydrocortisone, but it's obviously itchy as she rubs it with her hands and rubs her face on me if i've got her against my clothes. Hopefully it clears up for a while, must be terrible. Both A and DH get it so it was kind of inevitable but it must be terrible for a baby. Colds are also on the way out thanks goodness. Both girls are still a bit snotty but I think we're on the mend. We've had 2 bday parties for A this week so she's been very spoilt and looks for presents whenever anyone comes over
Clinic appt tomorrow for both girls so we get to see how much they weigh and how tall they are. Should be fun
I just had to express my excitement: E slept 8pm-6:15am! I had to get up and express at about 5am because I was going to burst and leaking all over the bed. And she's been asleep for 2 hrs now for her lunch time nap. Whose child is this?? After 3 days of post-needle craziness it's a pleasant change. Fingers crossed it's a trend and not a once off
PM - Wow that's fantastic, congrats, I hope she keeps it up for you!
Ahhh A has seemed to have forgotten that babies need to sleep during the day, not just at night....think I might be partly to blame, how do you get them back into a sleeping routine??
well troy isnt coming home today they stuffed the tide so tomorrow he should be back, thank god,
scarlet slept from 5pm yesterday to 4am this morning so im happy with that
but today her feeding been all over place so she just had feed then but im gona leave her in bouncer out with me for now if she falls asleep so she wakes once more before i put her to bed properly for the night
pmccask - Yay on all that sleeping! You are almost afraid to mention it though, in case it changes! How big were the girls?
Phoenix - I have a reluctant day sleeper too!
Traylee - Thats a long sleep!
My hives are finally gone! Took forever and lots of scratching, not changing body wash again even if one is cheaper! Phoebe is unsettled with reflux again, but the new medication should kick in soon. I'm bymyself with the girls for a few days, DH is away with work. First day has gone ok, hope it continues!
Well off to the docs today so hopefully we can get something for this reflux we seem to be having 1 good day then one bad atm.
But once settled at night she is sleeping through so am happy with that.
I have AF and boy it is bad really heavy i am actually cautious about leaving the house as i am scared i will have a leakage or something in the doctors or at the accountant.
i forgot how down AF gets you i sure didnt miss it one bit while i didnt have it for 11months but anyway just have to deal with it.
Anyway i gotta go i will try get back later for personals and update on docs appointment.
cap yea af sure does getu down hey, mine does to mine is gone now though lasted 3 days.
scarlet slept from 6.30 till 3.40 again, looks like 3,40 will be her wake time for a while i thinks, she has this pattern for a while now,
good luck at drs hope u nget someting that works
How is everyone? We ahd a pretty busy weekend, lots of driving! Lucky E is great in the car...he loves sleeping in there. Been pretty busy the last few days, went to the shops yesterday, we were there for 5 hours! That was super tiring! ANd it was just having coffee, food shopping, k-mart, toilet stops, feeding, bum changes..lol It goes so fast and you don't even realize it! E is doing well, sleeping strongly now, altho he wakes at around 4 to 4.30, but i put the dummy in, and he seems to either stay asleep, or wakes cos he drops the dummy, but if i keep putting it in, he will sleep until about 6.30 which is perfect for me cos I get up at 7am to get the others off to school.
I still haven't gotten AF yet. Thank goodness!
I just found out on the weekend that my sister is expecting! Not sure when she is due yet, but I am thinking March...she has a dating scan on saturday. Her and her DP were trying, but she had just finished a cycle of deprovera, so they didnt think it was going to happen for quite some time...so they stopped trying...lol, and just found out she is pregnant! This will be her 5th child..she has 4 girls already...and i think she wants another girl, but I have a feeling this one is going to be a boy! So I will be keeping all my stuff to pass to her!
Anyway, better go, have an inspection tomorrow, so have lots of house work to do! I'll try to get back a bit later on!
Sleepy - Wow, you and your sister have big families. And it's interesting that you have all the boys and she has all the girls!
Marni - Glad the hives are gone. Must have been one dangerous body wash!!
pmccask - Super sleeping! Enjoy it - I hope it lasts. I am always worried B will start waking every few hours again, not sure if it's likely though.
Phoenix - If I knew how to get B into a day sleeping routine, I'd be set! What I do with B, and it works about 80% of the time, is that I put him to sleep about 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours after he wakes. In that time we do a nappy change, feed and play. By then, he's just starting to show some tired signs (turning away, more wriggly and jerky, occasional grizzles and a yawn or two) but if I wait much longer, or until he's really tired, he really fights the sleep and it's so much harder. Usually he sleeps for about 45 mins but lately we've had the occasional sleep for an hour or more. Sometimes he wakes and amuses himself in his cot for a little while too. Oh, and I also wrap him. Sometimes I have music playing, sometimes it's quiet.
Hi to everyone else.
It's one of those times when the sleep thing isn't working - gotta go settle the grizzle monster...
well it seems as though that her great sleeping day/night was just evelyn's way of giving me some rest to prepare for what was about to come. Yesterday she didn't sleep much during the day and then last night it took from 7:30 till 2:30am to settle her. I know she has a cold but seems more congested now than she has the last few days. She seemed to have some wind/poo issues and also couldn't breathe properly so just wouldn't stay asleep. She is much the same again today so i've had her in the hugabub in the hope that keeping her upright helps with the breathing. At least she's napping in there but I don't hold much hope for tonight
To top it off A is being a right little toddler and refused to nap yesterday so was hysterical by 5pm. I have got her to have a nap today though, thank goodness.
ok, sorry to vent, just feeling tired and out of control.
Wow what a day i have had May had an unsettled night last night back to the 3am feed and not settling for hours guess i was lucky to enjoy my couple of nights that she slept right through maybe tonight will be better.
So was quite tired today and she was unsettled again all day cat napping on and off and DD2 is just being a real toddler into everything and has grizzled the last 2 days non stop she is cutting teeth still wish they would hurry up ive had 2 grizzly girls today i hope DD2 dosent grizzle all day tommorrow I had hoped to have a nice shower this morning but no that wasnt happening maybe shortly i might be able to go jump in (i bet that dosent happen) i havent even eaten yet i just cant be bothered now.
I had this terrible dream to last night about my MIL that passed away the start of the year and that has been on my mind all day also.
Sorry to rant about myself hormones seem to be abit up and down to with this damn AF.
PM- sounds like we are both tired and out of control atm and our night was much the same hope you have a better one tonight and E gets better quickly for you nothing worse when there congested
anyway better go try have this shower i have longed for all day.
takecare.
hi al
caplay - hope you had a better night and have a good day today. After having to carry E around in the sling all day yesterday and her shocker night, she went to bed last night at 8pm, I popped the dummy in at 1am when she piped up and she's still asleep now (6:40am). Everyday is different isn't it? I just expressed a little so I don't drown her when she eventually does wake up, but expect I'll have to express a bit more after her feed as I'm very full.
Sorry I've been MIA but have been trying to get the house sorted to move out and running around in general. I have a bub who has decided that her 2hour naps are a thing of the past and cat naps for about 30-45mins at a time now, but after going to mothers group catch up I am at ease it's normal as all the other bubs are doing the same and everyone was whinging lol.......that being said A slept the whole time (1 1/2hrs) in her pram in the noisy cafe, might have to start going for coffee every afternoon lol.
Caplay - how did you go at the docs, did they give you anything to help M's reflux?
PM - Sorry you've had a rough couple of days, is it getting better?
Jleigh - oh for a set routine or a baby manual lol, I can't complain she's an easy baby the majority of the time. I think it's just because I've got a heap to do at the moment and I'm on my own, it was great to go to mum's for dinner last night and just hand her over for an hour or so.
Tiff - yeh I'd be lost without comp as well, love the new Avi!
Sleepy - that is interesting that your sister has had all girls & you all boys. I wish A would take a dummy sometimes, especially when I know she thinks she's hungry & just wants to comfort suck, she used to when she was smaller under sufferance but won't have anything to do with it now.
Hello to everyone else, I sent a message on FB to Erin to see how she is going and she says hello to everyone. Her & Harry are doing great and she hopes to try and get back on here soon.
A is 13weeks/3 months today......so sad she is not a newborn anymore but I must admit I am enjoying her more in the way of her interaction with me & what's going on around her. I had her weighed yesterday and she is 5.1kgs and 56cms.
Well nearly time for me to try and get her to settle for a nap - am trying the two hours from wake up routine, which should let me hop in shower and out of my PJ's

: finish post
Marni - forgot to ask how you are going on your own? How much longer till your DH get back? Also glad to hear the hives are gone, who would have though a showergel could cause that bad a reaction.
oh how is eveyrone, we r all good here,
bubs slept from 5pm till 4am so pretty good there
be interesting to see how she goes tonight we have a 18th to go and it starts at 5.30, thats her normal bed time so i hope she dont play up to much
thats pretty bad about the hives and showergel, my hubby gets spotty rash from perfums, latex and stuff like that cause if allergies to
thinks bubs is having growth spurt maybe cause her first 2 bottles of morning are usually 150mls, then the rest of day r 125ml still
i got some baby food for her to try out some next week so see how she goes,
she wll be 3 months then its gone so fast
I bet I am not the only one up at this early hour! I have been up since 5am, so I thought why bother going back to sleep, it only makes me feel worse when my alarm goes off at 7am...then I really don't want to get out of bed...
E was doing really good, sleeping thru, he seems to have gone for the 4-5am feeds again, but I'm wondering wether he is cold...because his hands feel like ice when I get him up...but he hates mittens, so I don't know what to do, the other night he wore a suit that covered his hands completely and he slept til 7am...but I also think that had something to do with the fact he slept with me too.....
We have been busy little bee's lately, had the inspection on Wednesday, cleaning Monday and Tuesday, and lots of shopping yesterday. We went to Target...boy oh boy! What an interesting trip that was! Trolleys and prams everywhere! Was crazy so I did what I had to do and left...plus I had Cooper, who is 3 and he wanted to touch everything...gggrrr. Especially the Toy Story stuff, he hasn't seen it, but he loves it...lol
E will be 11 weeks this sunday, boy hasn't it gone fast! I just don't know where the time has gone! He is getting so big, and it won't be long until he has his next needles...
Another thing E did, he vomited inside my sleeve this morning, and it was freezing! And quite yucky...lol
sleepy i been uip since 5 to lol, thats when scarlet woke and i thought same thing why go back to bed also
and i no what u mean aout the cold hands in mornings im thinking i should fold her bond suit bit over to keep them warm just she liked to chew soemtimes on hands that why i havent.
i might try it tonight to see if it helps her sleep longer, usually she wakes at 3.30 t 4am, but was 5 today but she dint go to bed till 8 cause we were out at dinner,
usually she goes from 5 5.30 pm till 3.30 4am
