Cap - Zen started to get tiny bit of cradle cap and I just put some oil on the area and rubbed it in then lightly scratched at it with my nails and the third day it was all gone.

Cradle cap - B has no cradle cap but I did when I was little and Mum swears by baby/olive oil. HTH

Sleepy - B's sleeping has been off too. He woke at 11:30pm last night, just wanted a pat. Then again at 3:30am and on and off every 15 mins til 4:45am. It was weird waking though, he had his eyes closed and was shaking his head from side to side, then would all of a sudden just stop and sleep! Every time I was quite prepared to feed him, but he didn't seem to want it. And today we've been trying for a nap since 9:30am. He's staring at me in his bouncer now but won't go to sleep. Not sure what's causing it...

Poos - B only does one or two (huge ones, lol) a day now as opposed to 5 or 6 (which is good for me!). He seems to be in pain often before a fart or poo though. Anyone else?

    hi all
cradle cap - A still has some and she's 2! Thank goodness her hair covers it now though because I couldn't seem to get rid of it for good. I know you can buy stuff from the chemist specifically for cradle cap, but it never worked for us.

sleeping - E has been going great guns at night, getting 10hrs straight most nights this week which has been fab. Naps are still an issue, but after a partial brain snap yesterday I'm trying not to let it get to me today. This morning she did her usual half an hour then when she woke up cranky and tired I stuck her in the hugabub and she went back to sleep while A and I baked a cake. Right now I've been resettling her in her bed with the dummy for the last half hour. Some days she won't have a bar of the dummy though so it's a bit hit and miss.

Poos - E generally gives one decently filled nappy a day but doesn't seem to be too bothered by them. She farts like a trooper without flinching too. She's been a bit spewy today though, and that has been bothering her - she's been a bit unsettled and seems like the spews are a bit acidic. She did a massive projectile vomit a few days ago for the first time. It looked like a whole feed, all over her, me and the couch.

Toddlers - how are all the toddlers going with their new sibling? A is great for the most part. She's been getting a bit freaked out by E's cries lately, but she's always been sper sensitive to sounds. She's also decided that nap time isn't high on her priority list, so I'm trying to enforce quiet time in her room, then if she does nap it's great, but if she doesn't we both still get a break (mostly for me to work on resettling E!).

Better go, sounds like the dummy isn't cutting it this arvo. Hope you're all doing great.

    Hi

Well E slept right thru last night. Pitty I had a terrible night sleep. I had bad dreams all night. So I'm pretty beat today. But I'm still going....just lol.

Poo - E seems to be pooing like crazy lately. He goes thu stages of not pooing for ages, then he'll poo lots then stop again.

Cooper has a tummy bug today. He had 2 showers and went thru 10 nappies today. Toddler poo isn't the same as baby poo. Lol. And worse when they're sick. I just hope he's better tomorrow. We have food shopping to do.

I'm finding it easier to get things done at home lately as E likes lying on the floor or sitting in his chair. So at least I am starting to feel normal again. Today is the first day all week it hasn't rained, so I'm struggling catching up on washing for 6 people. Hopefully I'll be able to do some more tomorrow if it doesn't start raining again.

I hope everyone has a great weekend. Might have a few beers tomorrow afternoon, that'd be nice

    Hi all

Poo's- We normally get 1 big one a day if may dosent poo everyday she gets quite upset i think she gets pains when she hasnt had a poo for any longer then a day.

Sleeping- Atm things are going better last night we had a really good one with going right through from 8:30pm till 8am she has been doing quite a few nights of sleeping right through some nights we have to get up put the dummy in once or twice and then some other nights she goes back to wanting that 3-4am feed seems to change every night but i love the all nighters.

Cradle cap- i have tryed the oil and moistureiser but still there someone suggested trying moo goo scalp cream so might give that a go to.

Toddlers- Our DD toddler loves little may she sits down to hold her and she even comes up and helps me burp her when i sit her up after a feed but i cant put May down in the rocker or anything while DD is up and about as sometimes she can get a little rough but i dont think she meens to she just wants to touch her I am so greatful DD toddler goes down for a nap in the day still. I sometimes find it difficult especially lately as DD is being a real toddler and just gets into everything and going through that stage where she just wont listen and wants me to pick her up all the time and we have even had a few tantrums and a few days of grizzling all day long.

AFM- i am not sure we are going to have a good night tonight May is really unsettled and dosent wanna go to sleep I think she had a touch of the wog thing as yesterday and all wednesday night she didnt sleep and would just start crying out of no where and then today was back to her normal self tonight abit unsettled again so not sure But my poor Mum got it to i felt so bad.
Not much planned for the weekend have to do some shopping one day though.

Hope everyone has a good weekend and takecare

Poos - We normally get one to two a day. No problems with them anymore though, except for the odd explosion!

Sleeping - We are only waking once overnight, if that. Sometimes I have to feed others I just pop the dummy back in and she drifts off again. During the day we mainly have catnaps, however today she slept for 2 hours!

Siblings - Tiana loves Phoebe, calls her 'her baby' and wants to cuddle and kiss her all the time. The only setback I have had with her is that sometimes she wants us to dress her, like we do with the baby. Can't complain about that though. She has in the last week started to tell people that she is having a brother! He will be here on Tuesday apparently and will come from my tummy just like Phoebe. I'm not as convinced with this new baby thing as she is... She has told everyone she sees - family and strangers!

AFM - The chiropractor seems to really be helping with P's reflux. She is only screaming in the car half the time now, I don't have projectile vommiting anymore, only chucks and she doesn't seem to be having as many reflux screaming episodes. So I will keep it up and hope for the best. I had her weighed today and she is 6170g and just 60.5cm long.

Question - How often are bubs feeding? I am bf and Phoebe has decided to only take 1 breast a feed most of the time but is feeding at least every 2 hours during the day. Is it common for this to happen? I am happy to go with it cause she is happy but just curious as to what other bubs are doing.

Also, she is exactly 3 months old today!!! My little bubba is growing up!!!

Feeding - B usually feeds every 3 hours, but occasionally will sleep through a feed and it turns into almost 4 hours. A couple of days ago he fed every 2 hours, with one gap only 1.5 hours. I sure felt like a cow then! It's apparently normal and they may do it for comfort or cos of a growth spurt. Even so, it makes for a long day iykwim!

marni - Glad the chiro is working, that sounds like a fantastic improvement! And three months old, woo hoo! Sounds like she's growing really well too.

pmc - Hope you're ok after your partial brain snap! I can sympathise as sometimes I get so frustrated when B doesn't want to sleep. It's the only thing that gets to me about being a mum, everything else I can handle.

Sleeping - After about 10 days of waking around 4:30am ish, and me finally resigned to getting up then, B decided to sleep from 7:30am to 5:45am today, then went straight back to sleep with me til 8:15am! Who can predict these guys? Oh, and only 2 x 40 min naps yesterday - he was knackered last night!

Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their weekends.

    Hi all

Marni- that is great the chiro is helping i was going to take May but she seems to be doing alot better now since the zantac so will wait and see if it keeps up.

Sleepy- Hope cooper is feeling better and it is so much easier when bubs will entertain themselves for awhile enjoy your few beers.

PM- I think we all have abrain snap at some stage that is excellent sleeping at night though.

Jleigh- They are so unpredictable May is the same we can have 3-4 nights of sleeping through and then go back to 3-4am feed.

A big hello to everyone else.

AFM- not much planned here for the weekend catching up on some washing today.
May had another great night 10hrs straight so i am really happy and she is even sleeping great guns in the day atm to.

Enjoy your weekend everyone takecare and bye for now

Hi Traylee...check Troys head! Zen has an 'unusual' feel/look but his dad has the same thing. Or just get it checked to keep your mind at ease

Hello to everyone else How was your weekend?

Mine was fairly quite the weather is awful here windy, rainy and freezing cold. I attempted shopping yesterday with the 2 little kids does anyone else find it stressful shopping with 2 little children? our 2 younger ones seem to play up everytime we go shopping i am not sure which ones are worse now the 2 older ones or the 2 little ones lol
May slept great last night right through till 6am but the night before we did the 4am feed again.
I got some moo goo scalp cream for her cradle cap as someone had reccomended i try it and i was suprised put some on last night and then this morning i could hardly even see it so hopefully it is going to do the trick as it was getting worse very dry and yukky.

Hope everyones having a nice day takecare

We are going thru a very unsettled period. E woke at 12, then 3 then 6. Going back to his newborn times I have been very tired lately. He isn't sleeping very well during the day either. But I managed a small nap today. So that's keeping me going. He still has cradle cap too, but it's not getting worse.

We had a quiet weekend. I was too tired to go anywhere. I hope you all are sleeping better than us'

    Hi ladies!!!

Unsettled babies - They have another growther spirt between 12-15 weeks so that maybe whats happening for your babies atm. H had an unsettled weekend, the weekend before last. I'm not completely convinced it was a growth spirt, I think she had a belly ache, but it may have been.

Cradle cap - T never had cc, H has it! I think it's cuz T was pretty much bold and H has a lot of hard so her head is a little irritated from the hair. I just get T's brush and do circle motion through her hair, get a heap of it off, then put a wash over her head to heat it up then most of it is gone for a few days. I do this once or twice a week and that keeps it under control. I hear you can get a cc brush which is very much like a nit brush, but I don't think its nessisary.

Bub's head - I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary with the girls heads, but as the pther ladies have said look at your mans head!! lol

H is great, nothing exciting happening here, hence me not being around much, really nothing to report. I think I'm going to need to cut somethings out of my diet and try to work out why H is having so many green poos... She's having at least one every day now. I'm hoping its not the dairy I'm having. I am allergic to dairy (I keep it to a minimum, if I have too much I get terrible stomach cramps and end up on the toilet for the day!), I love it so I try to keep to a daily limit of 1 cup of skim milk only unless its been a while since I visited the toilet!!! Sorry for the TMI!!! If it is whats affecting H then I guess I'll have to give it up for a few months

Anyways ladies that it from me. Hope you're all happy and well!

Ok, well I wrote a reply and it wouldn't post... Trying again.

My little bubba woke twice last night too. They all seem to want to wake more at the moment! Hopefully they start sleeping like we want them too again soon.

JLeigh - Try and rest with him today! Maybe if you lie down with him he will have a couple of hour sleep for you!

Cap - The chiropractor has done wonders for Phoebe's reflux! She hasn't had her medication in 4 days now! She is also happier, doesn't yell anywhere near as much and doesn't hate the car anymore! I know it wont work for all babies but it has definately made a huge difference here.

Well hope everyone has a better day, with some baby sleeps!

    Morning all

Marni- Yes i think i will try get an appointment at the chiro and see how that goes or go back the doc and get something else for it but she has been really good untill yesterday so maybe it was just a once off i am hoping it was anyway.

Tiff2- Glad to here H is doing well but sorry to hear about the dairy issues.

Sleepy- hope you had a better night last night it makes things hard when you dont get alot of sleep and then have to be up to get kids to school etc thats how i feel this morning.

Jleigh- There is nothing worse when they get overtired makes things alot worse i know i hope you have a better day today and B sleeps abit more for you

Traylee- how many bottles in a 24hr period is S having? and how much is she drinking? just interested to know.

A big hello to everyone else

AFM- well after finally getting M settled at 12:00 she only slept till 3am then didnt go back down till 5am and just starting to stir now so i am also feeling the sleep deprivation today it is so much harder when they have been sleeping through and then have to go back to getting up at all hours again i am really feeling it plus i have a touch of a cold so not feeling the best Heres hoping today and tonight is better for every one.
I dont think M is or has gone through the growth spurt yet so still have that to come yet.

    enjoy your day everyone.

    Hi all
Sounds like most have had a bit of an unsettled week. E has been doing really well at night, but still not sleeping too much in the day. She hasn't been too cranky though so I'm trying not to get hung up over it. Today she resettled herself after 1 sleep cycle which was fantastic. She woke again about 15 minutes later but I'm taking it as a resettle! Both girls happen to be asleep at the same time today so I'm having a few minutes to myself. It rarely happens.

Toddlers - Annabelle has even had a nap the last 2 days, so I'm not feeling so mentally drained which is good as DH is doing 12 hr shifts at the moment. Re shopping, I tend to get groceries day to day by walking to the local supermarket. It gets me and A out of the house and E normally naps in the sling while we walk. If I have to do a big shop I try and go when E is getting tired so she naps the whole time (in the sling). She's started waking at the half hour mark even in the hugabub though, so I'm not sure how long this trick will last.

Head lumps - My DH has a long head (front to back) and A has a prett big overhang of her occipital bone. She also slept on her tummy as a baby so never got a flat spot. E's isn't so pronounced, but Traylee if you're worried, check it out. Babies have weirdly shaped heads, and the shaped tend to change as the bones star to fuse.

Dairy - Tiff, I sadly had to eliminate chocolate and milk from my diet as they seemed to really upset E's tummy. She had 2 crazy nights a few weeks ago where she didn't sleep much at all, and both were days that I'd eaten chocolate. Hopefully you can find out what it is that's causing problems.

Hi to everyone else, hope bubs settle down and you all get some good rest. It's hard to go back to unsettled times after they've been sleeping well. I know that week after E's needles was a shocker! Better make the most of the girl-free time and do a bit of housework. Slow cooker is on so at least dinner is taken care of. Seeya ladies.
