hi Marni
E resettled this afternoon after me complaining! I have her in the hugabub for her late arvo nap though, I like to keep her close for one sleep in the day. Will prob have to stop that soon though or she will begin demanding it!
Re soft spots - I'm pretty sure they depress when they're hungry/thirsty as it's a sign of hydration, so if it's just before a feed I wouldn't worry.
marni no i am not lol, just we dtd without using protection so i was bit concerned as i lots of the ewcm on tues so maybe that was my o day so ill be safe
i havent had a normal period come back yet but that im pretty sure was def ovulation cause it was exacly like ewcm, and the sat night and sun etc i had pains in ovary pelvis area.
me having a csection i gotta be careful, but im not allowed on contraceptives so only thing is condoms and they suck
Marni - Not sure on the soft spot, I honestly haven't noticed A's but that could be because of the hair Hopefully demolition will be about 4-6 weeks after we move out, there is a few things we want to salvage out of the place before they knock it down. After living in this dump for 8 years, I am getting excited about having a new place & most importantly a kitchen with benchspace, I love to cook but this kitchen depresses me it's so small and useless.
PM - Great news on E re-settling for you, hoping she keeps it up. A has taken to having her afternoon nap in her pram, not sure if that's a good or bad thing though.
Hello to everyone else, it's Friday (am I the only one who loses track of what day it is) and only 3 days till DH is gone again but I know I can do it now so not so stressed. I haven't got my period back yet either, the 25th of this month will be 12 months since my last one.......am not complaining and will be real sad if and when it shows up again. Mum took ages to get hers back so hoping I'm like her.
Everything is still ticking along quite well here, A is growing up fast and everyday is taking in more of the world around her. Most of the time she's pretty placid & content, though nappy/clothes change time can bring on a trantrum of epic proportions and anyone would think I'm pulling her toe nails out or something.
Have a great weekend everyone, the weather is cold but sunny here so going to try and make the most of it
Elijah had his needles this morning. I can't believe he is 2 months old already! Poor baby screamed when he got them.. So sad! But he is asleep now. Hopefully he sleeps it off, and doesn't get too sick from them.
I had a preg test this morning at the Dr, and thank goodness it was negative! I have been getting a few dizzy spells, felt like i was going to be sick this morning, and feeling very tired, even tho E is sleeping better. So I was a bit worried. I don't hink I could handle having another one right now.
I had a really bad day yesterday, ended up in tears and just couldn't deal with everything. Cooper was squealing the place down, he wouldn't stop misbehaving, he hurt E twice. He tried to pick him up out of his bouncer, and it toppled over, I ran to the loungeroom and found E face down under his bouncer, thank goodness he wasn't seriously hurt. Then later on in the evening, E was having floor time, when Cooper decided he was going to run into E. He hit his head with the front of his little ride on car...I was not impressed with him yesterday. I had a melt down! I was tired and stressed and just needed a break! Cooper is at daycare today, so I'm having a quiet day.
Is anyone else finding it hard to eat properly? I don't get much of a chance to eat healthy enmough, or at all sometimes. I just grab whatever is in the fridge, and it's usually chocolate biscuits or donuts or whatever is easiest...I am not losing weight because of it...I'm not happy with myself and I can't fit any of my old clothes, without looking like a beached whale, with muffin top hanging over the top of my jeans. I really hate it, and I' don't get time to myself to do anything....I hope it changes raelly soon, because DH isn't going to get any loving if I keep feeling like this!
Sleepy - oh you poor thing, big hugs to you on having such a rotten day yesterday. I would have had a meltdown too. Hopefully E sleeps his needles off today so you can have a nice relaxing day at home just the two of you.
Eating - I try to eat healthy (when I eat) but for some reason after being good while pregnant all I want now is chocolate, biscuits & coke and I've been eating it like they are never going to be making it ever again......it's like I'm getting my cravings now!
Sleepy - My eating is terrible. Ihave only just eaten today and it is 2pm. I seem to live on coffee. I hope that you have a much better day today!!! At least you have DTD we still havent cause I am still bleeding a little.
Phoenix - You will be fine without DH - I am sure it will get easier each time but obviously you will still miss him!
we haven't dtd yet either, I'm still a little freaked out after my tear, that and bfing completely removes any desire!
E fell asleep in the trolley at the shops (I only just popped in) and had 20 mins then thought nap time was over so we're a bit out of whack this arvo. I let her play for a little while and am trying to get her to have a bit more of a nap. She's not hungry, but she is tired so fingers crossed we get back on track before bed time!
Eating - I tend to eat with A and eat whatever I make for her, so at least I know I'll have some toast in the morning, some snacky foods at lunch (fruit, crackers, cheese) and then dinner. I am still hungry in between meals though so try and snack on fruit or muesli bars or similar (or biscuits if I have been bad and bought some). I made chocolate pudding last night though, so have been nibbling on that most of today :S
Marni - yay you can use your monitor tonight!
Sleepy - phew to not being pregnant! That would have been a very short age gap!
Ah, she's not having a bar of this extra sleep, better go see what I can do. I got the big one down for a nap so i can dedicate a bit of time to the small one. I'm so glad A is still napping! She's 2 next week! Next thing I know it'll be E that's turning 2.
Hi to everyone else, hope you're having a good day. I had a great day yesterday with both girls so that gave me some fuel for a while
Marni- How did P go in her own bed with the moniter etc?
Soft spot- I have noticed Mays as it is quite visable due to her not havig much hair sometimes it does seem sunken abit but then comes right again i also see it pulsating sometimes is that normal?
Pheonix- i also havent got AF back yet i am pretty sure with my last DD it was back by now but hey i am not complaining either although i have thought for the last week it is going to arrive soon but still hasnt goodluck with the demolition and eveything.
Sleepy- Oh i can console with you i had a shocker of a day yesterday with the 2 older children 51/2 and 7 yrs and neally had a break down moment when DP went out for abit Our DS has been a shocker lately back answering and being a little smart i am really at my wits end with him he has been like it most of the holidays how old are your children? i am hoping today is a better day i never would of thought a boy and girl would fight so much heres hoping May and Lola 18mths get along alot better.
How did E go last night after his needles?
Eating- i am a shocker i am lucky to eat by afternoon atm with all the kids at home i seem to never stop just for a min to have something i also grab and eat on the run but at tea time i will take the time to sit and eat a meal with everyone but half the time just grab whats quick and easy to need to try make time to sit have proper breakfast and lunch etc.
PM- Oh they grow up so quick dont they i cant believe it was 7 yrs ago i had caprice DD1 she will be a teenager before we know it. Hope E had a sleep for you.
A big hello to everyone else.
AFM- well we have had a interesting couple of days May hasnt been herself normally she sleeps and settles so well in the day but yesterday and the day before she has been cat napping and just not herself also back to taking a couple hours to settle at night time again (thought we might of got past that) i am not sure whether it is from the needles on tuesday or a growth spurt? or just the reflux as she has been very spewy the last couple days and i forgot to ask the doc about that tuesday totally blew my mind with all the screamimg from DD2 might have to make an appointment just for that as it dosent seem to be any better. She also has a touch of oral thrush so had to go the chemist and get some stuff for that She has cradle cap in her eyebrows oh she just seems to be in the wars atm poor little darl.
whats everyones plans for the weekend? me nothing much Mum comes this afternoon so am looking forward to seeing her. other then i get up this morning and it is blowing a gale outside and am scared a tree might fall as we have quite a few big gums round us going to be cold and wet here so indoors for us.
Anyway May gone back to sleep so might try do a few things before they all get up takecare and have a nice weekend everyone.
Caplay - I had a better day yesterday. Cooper is 3, and only just turned 3 last week. The others are Jhye and he's 8 and Kyle who is 12, nearly 13. E was pretty unsettled last night, from about 1am. He wasn't hungry he was just unsettled and kept wanting his dummy put back in.
I was quite happy when I got the negative result yesterday. I think having another one wouldn't be so bad, but having such a small age gap would be terrible, considering E wouldn't even be walking by that stage!
We have no plans this weekend, just going to take it easy I think. It's alot windy and possibly rainy. So doubt we'll be going anywhere. Hope you all have a great weekend tho.
cap we had shocker of a day yesterday to i was concered, s wasnt sleeping took ages to settle last night and had spews like spit up after every feed also, i thought we had just got on top of the reflux but ill see and might go to drs.
she seems to be fine today not bringing anything up and hast cried one today yet, only but 5mins ago for bottle, so i dunno wats gion on, she is just over 9 weeks now,
hope she stays settled, i put farex in her bottle last night to try help she only had half though
Unsettled bubs - Sorry to hear there seems to be a few of these lately. B seems to have gotten over his grumpy spell and we haven't had any tears for two days. A few grizzles of course, but nothing much.
Traylee - I know nothing about this, but was wondering if S could be upset because of the food. A midwife told me that bubs digestive system can't handle solids so early and it upsets them, so could that be it??
Food - I live for eating and MUST eat every few hours or I get grumpy and shaky, but I do sometimes miss out. If B wakes before me in the morning and I can't get breaky in first, I have a glass of juice while I feed, then eat straight after while he's on his play mat. I have been having hot milo/tea for a snack then lunch is usually leftovers or a jaffle etc when he's napping. Dinner is something easy (e.g I cut everything for a stir fry/casserole etc whenever I have 5 mins spare and make sure I make enough to freeze another batch). I am basically only making stuff I don't have to cut and can eat one-handed so I can do it while I feed! I have also been baking a healthy banana loaf and freezing it in slices so I can just grab one on the run. Fruit is good too!
Sleepy - Glad the test was negative!!
Caplay - Hope M gets better.
AFM - All my antenatal group are having a BBQ tomorrow so hoping it doesn't rain too much. Gotta go, B is after a feed...
By the way, he's starting to fit into some 000 clothes!! Cool but sad at the same time.
jleigh na i only gave her food last nioght after all the up brining of milk tokeep it down which seemed to help, cause she had half a bottle with farex and then went to sleep wiht no spewing, appernely it helps with reflux if u use it they have reccomended it to a few friends of mine.
but she has been fine today so i duno what was goin on really, maybe another spurt not sure glad she is sleeping today and eating well, she didnt sleep at all yesterday realy maybe 30mins to 1hr in total since she woke up, but like i said not sure if teething causes it cause she has a few raised bits and a sharp bit at top of mouth on both sides poking threw so i dunno
Phoenix - I hope you enjoy your last couple of days with DH. I am much more confident after a week without mine (well, during the day only!), so I know what you mean. I felt so proud of myself that I managed to get out of the house a few times on my own, make tea and even get a little housework done! Still not sure how the mums to more-than-one cope though....
Sleepy and caplay - for you after your horrible-sounding days!
pmccask - It's amazing how energised a good day with our little ones can make us feel, isn't it?
AF - Still nothing here either, which is more than OK by me!
Fontanelles - After reading previous posts, I had to go look at B's. It is definitely more noticeable at some times than at others.
Hope everyone else is looking after themselves and that everyone's bub is sleeping, eating and pooping well, lol!
Soft spots - They are meant to be sunken sometimes. But if it is sunken for a very long period of time it means they are dehydrated. But I don't think any of us have anything to worry about. As for the pulsating, it's the veins. Again nothing to worry about.
Thanks Sleepy! I will now stop worrying. I never noticed it with T and she had less hair than P!
Traylee - Hope S settles soon. It's awful when they are sad!
Cap - Hopefully it will all settle for you this week with your big kids back at school! I had rough days and I only have one bigger one!
JLeigh - Well done on your first week alone! It gets easier, but you still have days when it's impossible to get anything done and days when you claim it was impossible cause you just couldn't be bothered! lol
Eating - I don't eat as well as I should but does any other breastfeeding mums find that they just don't seem to get full?!
Phoebe has been a bit unsettled, I don't know if it is the reflux? She also seems to prefer feeding from my left breast rather than the right? I don't know whether to go and see my dr again to try the better medication for her. Its sad when she is so upset. I am also trying to sort her clothes. The 0000 are all gone and trying to get the 00 in. She is growing so fast!
Marni - Apparently my Dr told me that babies prefer one breast over the other. E prefers my right breast and it appears twice as big. I do however have an inverted nipple on my left breast too. E is really unsettled on my left breast. He pulls and squirms and plays up a bit. But apparently that is also normal. Lol
Hi Guys,
I'm trying to catch up (yet again), we've had an interesting week with Kaylee's reflux playing up again, her meds seems to be keeping it at bay at the moment, just.
She's on losec which comes in tablet form...so I have to grind half a tab per day up with water and give it to her, but I've found a chemist that can make it in liquid suspension form, so I'm going to be looking into that tomorrow.
Also, I have just started the journey to relactation (I had let my milk dry up when we switched to formula....which we did cause we thought my milk was causing her reflux)....but, with it starting up again, I know it wasn't the feeding....so...we are trying to give it another shot!
