Its terrible Ubba, it really is!! The chiro didn't seem to concerned about it when I took her for her reflux, and never said anything about fixing it, so I'm guessing its not that bad for her - just bad for us!! DH refuses to put her up on his shoulder because she grinds her jaw into your shoulder and click, click, clicks away!

    Hi Girls!

Just letting you know that Archie's blood test results came back all normal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    WWWOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOO!!!!

Thank goodness for that! The paed thinks i should get him started on solids for extra vit K.. I am a bit confused now as to whether they actually checked the level of vit k so i will phone him back to check. He actually told me that babies SHOULD be started on solids at 4 months as they are LESS likely to have allergies to foods if they are started earlier than 6 months. I don't know if i believe him! I wanted to do BLW so don't know how i should go about things. Might start a thread in the BLS section.

Sorry its a me post... just EXCITED!

    Wooohooo!! woohooo!!!! Excellent news!!

Re: BLS - we do BLS here, and the recommendation is still 6 months from the WHO (if you were following this train of thought) Of course if you were doing mushy stuff from 4 months and then BLS from 6 months - its up to you

Oh no Madame that's so sad, is she ok? Stupid question I know.....there's so any miscarriages isn't there, it's so horribly sad. Hugs to your BF.

Hi Mel - oooh thanks so much! I have some of that so will have a looksie. I ordered an Amber necklace today, much to the disgust of my MIL, she thinks it sounds dangerous for a baby to wear a necklace in case of choking etc. Are they safe to sleep in them? I noticed one of my mums group girls has uploaded a pic of her little boy today and he has one on so am going to ask her tomoz!

Yeah Alison, I never take DD1's off her - she sleeps, bathes, everything - in her necklace.

If it makes you feel more comfortable, you can take it off their neck and wind it around their ankle to sleep in. I'm ok with the choking risk (I don't think its too high) so I leave it on.

I think I'm finally starting to work out DD2's little routine she has going! If I work it so she feeds every 3.5ish hours (so for today she will have bottles at 6.30am, 10am, 1.30pm, 4.30pm and 6.45pm) she shouldn't wake up. I realised on the days I was giving her every 4 hours, she would wake up at 3ish in the morning for a feed. Its a fine line with this young trickster though - every 3 hours she doesn't eat it all, then doesn't nap, gets too overtired, won't drink next bottle and wakes up in the early morning. If she has every 4 hours she wakes up in the middle of the night. If its every 3.5 for most, and 3 for some - she doesn't wake up! LOL... this young monster is certainly different than my other two!! She actually had 40 minutes sleep this morning too - makes a difference from her 20 minute cat naps yesterday!!! But we're getting there... sloooowly.. lol ... just goes to show you that no matter how many babies you have - they're all different and can be tricky to work out what works best for them to make them a happy gurgling bubba!!

Hmm - sorry bout that - bit long there.
Raining here today - kids are going insane already today. DD1 has already drawn on the floor in 2 different places, DS has already pooed and peed his pants while eating breakfast - gonna be a great one me thinks

Hi Mel - wow that's interesting isn't it! I wonder if that's why Amelia's been waking up lately, maybe it's to do with her feeds....I tried dropping a feed last week though and it didn't work although after going back to her usualf or a few days she's waking again anyway now so maybe it wasn't that after all!

I don't know what's going on here but I'm going crazy! My 10 hours of uninterrupted nights with maybe the odd once wake up for dummy has turned to crap. Last night I got up every hour! She's not awake as such, her eyes are closed, she's on her back (which she always used to sleep on her side so don't know what that's about) but she's whinging. I'm scared to let her go in case she wakes herself up fully but maybe I need to try tonight and see what happens. What could be causing this? Teeth, wonder week? It's doing my head in and I feel so tired today, I have the stiffest neck which is giving me a headache.......any suggestions anyone???? Also, the first morning all week there is no construction going on next door and it's been super noisy these last few days and guess what, she woke up at 7.00 am instead of 8.00 am....she was just chatting away in her room so I let her go for a bit but I was still awake. It might be APRIL FOOL'S DAY but I aint laughing!!!!!!! Also, is it normal for her to be doing a "breast milk" poo when she's on full formula and has been for 3 days now? She just did one this morning and it was more like it used to be before I stopped expressing/BF'ing - you know, with the yellow and mustard seeds instead of the more compact green stuff lol....how revolting. Anyone for breakfast?

She just got her needles didn't she? The rota virus vaccine can make their poos a little funny for a week, cos they get the live virus in that dose. So it could be that changing the poos.

As for wonder week, or teething - could be either - could be both!! lol.. who knows?

Is she sleeping in the same room as you? I wake up a bit to Eden as well, but I don't really notice it cos I'm half asleep because her cot is riding side car like beside our bed. So I don't actually have to get up and do anything, I just roll over and stick out an arm..... lol

Oh and for your stiff neck - got any mersyndol?

    okay ladies, talk to me..

Theo was sleeping 8/9 hours straight a night. Then he started waking probably... every 3ish. Now its turning into every 1... What is going on???

I try to keep him in his cot for as long as possible, but every night, i just give up and put him in bed with me, and he sucks away at the boob just all night long Now this is great, cause i still get some rest, but i'm never in a deep sleep, because i need to roll over etc, and can't cause he's there! I only like to put him on the outside, next to me, because i worry DH wont know he's there.

Don't know what to do. My mum is constantly on my back, telling me just to give him some formula. But I just really dont want to. Surely there is a way to get him to sleep without having to go down the formula road?? After i gave DD some formula for night sleeps (she was 7 months old), my supply dramatically decreased (sound familar alison? hehe). Hmmm

Well tonight i've going to try and give him more than a teaspoon of farex, see if that helps, but i'm assuming it wont.

I know he's not 'starving', clearly due to his weight. But maybe thats why he's waking so often? Because he has to have a slurp every hour to get something? He can't get a 'big' feed, then have a nice long sleep. Does that make sense?

    Argh i'm so sleep deprived...

Shayna, have you found the formula is helping your DD with her sleep?

Listening to you guys talk about your routine is making me jealous 5 feeds a day? Really? I lose count of how many feeds we do here! I'm picking around 15...

    xx

Telly and Alison, V is getting the same, actually it has been going on for weeks now which makes sense her being a little older... It sucks and Im tired too..booo...V doesnt resettle herself and once she rolls on her back she is awake..The problem being she rolls in her seep last night I chocked her up with rolled up blankets lol.. Im not sure why they had to give us a taste of the good life then snatch it away...

Sorry girls Ill try to come back later.

    oh also
last night theo started touching my face as he was feeding... was so beautiful
wish i could have bottled the moment

He's been doing it today too.

He grabbed my cheek (sharp nails, felt like claws) as he was standing on my lap, and gave me the biggest baby kiss! nawww! Sucked my cheek like it was the boob, teehehehe.

see.. how could i want to jeopardise these things?
    i love breast feeding
