Yeah Alison, I never take DD1's off her - she sleeps, bathes, everything - in her necklace.

If it makes you feel more comfortable, you can take it off their neck and wind it around their ankle to sleep in. I'm ok with the choking risk (I don't think its too high) so I leave it on.

I think I'm finally starting to work out DD2's little routine she has going! If I work it so she feeds every 3.5ish hours (so for today she will have bottles at 6.30am, 10am, 1.30pm, 4.30pm and 6.45pm) she shouldn't wake up. I realised on the days I was giving her every 4 hours, she would wake up at 3ish in the morning for a feed. Its a fine line with this young trickster though - every 3 hours she doesn't eat it all, then doesn't nap, gets too overtired, won't drink next bottle and wakes up in the early morning. If she has every 4 hours she wakes up in the middle of the night. If its every 3.5 for most, and 3 for some - she doesn't wake up! LOL... this young monster is certainly different than my other two!! She actually had 40 minutes sleep this morning too - makes a difference from her 20 minute cat naps yesterday!!! But we're getting there... sloooowly.. lol ... just goes to show you that no matter how many babies you have - they're all different and can be tricky to work out what works best for them to make them a happy gurgling bubba!!

Hmm - sorry bout that - bit long there.
Raining here today - kids are going insane already today. DD1 has already drawn on the floor in 2 different places, DS has already pooed and peed his pants while eating breakfast - gonna be a great one me thinks

Hi Mel - wow that's interesting isn't it! I wonder if that's why Amelia's been waking up lately, maybe it's to do with her feeds....I tried dropping a feed last week though and it didn't work although after going back to her usualf or a few days she's waking again anyway now so maybe it wasn't that after all!

I don't know what's going on here but I'm going crazy! My 10 hours of uninterrupted nights with maybe the odd once wake up for dummy has turned to crap. Last night I got up every hour! She's not awake as such, her eyes are closed, she's on her back (which she always used to sleep on her side so don't know what that's about) but she's whinging. I'm scared to let her go in case she wakes herself up fully but maybe I need to try tonight and see what happens. What could be causing this? Teeth, wonder week? It's doing my head in and I feel so tired today, I have the stiffest neck which is giving me a headache.......any suggestions anyone???? Also, the first morning all week there is no construction going on next door and it's been super noisy these last few days and guess what, she woke up at 7.00 am instead of 8.00 am....she was just chatting away in her room so I let her go for a bit but I was still awake. It might be APRIL FOOL'S DAY but I aint laughing!!!!!!! Also, is it normal for her to be doing a "breast milk" poo when she's on full formula and has been for 3 days now? She just did one this morning and it was more like it used to be before I stopped expressing/BF'ing - you know, with the yellow and mustard seeds instead of the more compact green stuff lol....how revolting. Anyone for breakfast?

She just got her needles didn't she? The rota virus vaccine can make their poos a little funny for a week, cos they get the live virus in that dose. So it could be that changing the poos.

As for wonder week, or teething - could be either - could be both!! lol.. who knows?

Is she sleeping in the same room as you? I wake up a bit to Eden as well, but I don't really notice it cos I'm half asleep because her cot is riding side car like beside our bed. So I don't actually have to get up and do anything, I just roll over and stick out an arm..... lol

Oh and for your stiff neck - got any mersyndol?
