Alicia - Welcome back! Its good to hear from you! No we couldn't have forgotten you, and I hope you stay in contact a bit more! Cruz is such a hunky little man, its just crazy! haha! I LOVE LOVE LOVE his eyes... beautiful brown eyes. They remind me of my DDs eyes they're that dark. I always hoped all my kiddies would have beautiful eyes like her, but it looks like Theo's are going to go hazel at this stage, they're changing so much! Lordie i can not believe you were that tiny! Good luck with you weight loss, sounds like your hubby is going to be a great motivator! Theo is also 7.5kg
Ubba - your routine sounds great! I'm starting to think maybe i should adopt it too? Theo is such a boobie man its silly, haha. He's at the stage now if he's even sitting on my lap he begins to arch his face towards them and lets out this silly fake cry hahaha, typical man! I have no doubt he uses them as a dummy.. When he was 6 weeks the MW told me this was fine.. but now?? at 3.5 months? still ok? haha! So i wonder if he'd be able to go that far between 'feeds'. I excentuate the word 'feed' because often his feed are really just for comfort/dummy. And then we've got playgroup twice during the week, swimming once and music once.. haha! I'm making excuses already and i haven't even started! Ahhh!! Kymmy you and i are so alike, just 'go with the flow'! Its sooo easy to be so relaxed! Anyway bec, hope you're doing your homework atm instead of scrolling the pages of belly belly... hehe
Kymmy!! Kymmy's Dad!! I don't really know what to say. Just know that i'm here, i'm thinking of you and your dad, i'm reading, and i'm listening.. I hope everything gets better really soon.
As for the PPH, I had it after kaili was born and lost 1.5ltrs. I had 3 blood transfusions and the drs told me i was lucky to live With theo i had PPH and lost 500ml, didn't need any transfusion, thank god! BUT bad news i think .. I've been told that because of my history, i'm very likely to have it with every pregnancy, and have been told that i would not qualify for any birth centres as i'm 'high risk'. But that is just me.. maybe birth centres over in WA have different rules and regulations? But you know.. in the end so long as you and your baby are happy and healthy thats all that matters.
I can imagine how incredible having a HB would be... Perhaps you could labour at home as long as possible, then head to the hossy when you're in transistion? Thats what i did with theo, and i have nothing but beautiful memories from it. I remember even at the time, with all that pain, i was on a high - i was soo happy with myself.
But big hugs You are the type of woman who see's labour as a spiritual journey.. i'm sure you will experience this incredible journey no matter where it takes place And you can always have your MW to tag along for the ride! hehe
Mon - I hope you start to feel better. Hows everything going at home? Jose behaving himself? hehe. x
Natty - doesn't get much cuter than V... gosh she is looovely!! Love that vid of her giggling in the bath.. naww
JDs MUM - Hahahaha!! I do the EXACT same thing! I hear a car pull up.. quickly look out the window.. CRAP!! Run to my bedroom, put a bra on, a headband (cause they make your hair look like you're brushed it, haha), and almost 80% of the time I also need to put shorts on aswell Can't believe you went and saw BSB!! WOOHOO!!!! Man i used to LOVE them. And Hanson aswell! Crap thats embarrasing! Don't you think Kevin is the odd one out?? Me and my sis used to always think that.. he was the odd one out. And whenever one of us would do something kinda 'lonerish', we'd call them a 'kevin'.. LOL! What crap teenagers come up with!
Madame!!! in your 70s!!!!!! You go girl!!! I can't wait till i'm in my 70s.. i think its been about 4 years since i was there. Im so close i can taste it! haha! Well done!
AFM - weighed in this afternoon, lost 1.2kg! yes! total of 11.9kg now!
Theo is doing soo well... gosh i love him to bits. As i mentioned earlier he now lets out this fake cry when he's near my boobies, haha! its just sooo adorable! I have to stop myself from kissing him constantly.. his little soft cheeks.. so delicious!
When i put him in his cot while i have a shower, and he starts to cry Kaili quickly races in there and gives him his toys and talks to him.. its so sweet. Then if he pulls out his serious cry, she FREAKS out! Runs into the shower bawling, "MUM!! MUM!! FEOS CRYING!!", haha, she gets so upset about it poor little darlin' ! I'm so glad she has him, and visa versa. Couldn't imagine my life without my sister. Can't wait to make them more! haha!
He is also getting reallly reallly interested in food! Its making me feel really cruel eating infront of him. He stares at me drooling, and often tries to grab it. Tonight i was eating an icecream in a cone, and he actually grabbed it (my eyes were focussed on home and away, haha) and got icecream all over his hand. Couldn't believe it! (cleaned it off obviously)
I couldn't do that routine Ubba as we don't have sleep clothes - Mr I wears a T-shirt or short sleeve onesie 24/7, plus I havve to change his shirt 3 or 4 times a day 'cause of the spew & I couldn't be bothered to change his outfit any more than necessary. Even with the constant rain for the last few weeks its too hot for much in the way of clothing. Having said that I finally got around to rewashing all of DS1's old winter stuff so its sitting there ready for a drop in tempreture.
I'm the opposite - I'm going round the house wearing a bra & no shirt. I've gotta wear the bra 'cause I'm still leaking milk & need the bra to hold the breastpads on.
Hi Girls - just on the routine Ubba was given - which is pretty much the exact same as what I've always done with Amelia, it's never too late to start, might take a bit longer but you can do it. And Snowy I don't put Amelia in sleep clothes until the evening - she knows that's night time then but that's just how I do it. During the day she goes down in whatever she's wearing and I just put a wrap over her like a blanket but I don't always wrap her. At night she's in her longsleeve/legged onesie or long sleeve top and just nappy if the aircon isn't on and her Grobag and that's it. It makes life a lot easier having a routine, well for me anyway, like I said before I like to be organised so it's nice knowing when she'll be due a feed and the best times to go out etc. I meant to say Ubbs that Amelia usually has 1.5 hours of awake/play time before having a sleep - that's if she has a sleep, the morning she has a good 1-2 hours but the arvos she might only have 30 mins max at a time lol.
In saying all this last night she woke at 3.00 am Her nappy had wet through again so I'm thinking maybe I need to go to the next size - the crawler size as she's still in infants. The problem is when I change her nappy it wakes her up more so took me a little longer to get her settled again, she was pretty upset about that wet nappy - fussy little girl ha ha. So 4.00 am she finally goes back to sleep after me going in a couple of times to plug in the dummy......she did sleep till 8.00 am though so can't complain.
Well, I'm going to use my slow cooker for the first time today, lamb shanks, yummmmmmmmm! Hope I do it properly, haven't used one before.
Don't worry Alison in time you will master the skill of changing a nappy and them staying asleep, I can even do it one handed when bf lmao well it's 9am and I'm going back to bed for 2 hours it's daycare day yay and I'm so proud I have saved $500 that's alot for me lol and that's after bills and food for the week I just need to learn some self control at the shops and not buy crap, still feel yuck have a headach the other day I woke up with a sore finger on the inside near the joint and there's a lil white lump under the skin that can move slightly but no idea what it is but my finger hurts all the same
We don't have sleep clothes either but we have lots of spew too every time she rolls onto her tummy she pukes and her face gets covered in chunks lmao
Jose has actually been really good since the outburst after my sisters friend (Aka milf hunter with a really big hmmmm, apparently) came over I think it made him realise he didn't want to lose me, I on the other hand have been struggling slightly I've been slightly depressed as I usually get but also been getting quite overwhelmed with even looking at the housework and I have been really short tempered and stressed and the slightest thing sets me off it's not really anxiety but is slightly it's hard to explain but I either get really angry and want to swear my head off and break things or I want to just sit there and cry dunno if it's maybe all the crap nights of sleep taking it's toll cos even when she doesn't wake I still wake like every hour or two and I have so much trouble getting comfy and going to sleep
Hey Mon, thanks, you'll have to teach me lol! I was swearing at the poppers on the all in ones last night, trying to do them back up in the dark, grrr! You've done well with saving, I too have to stop spending money on crap, down to one wage now. Booooo. That lump on your finger, is it a ganglion? I've had 2 in my wrist and had operations on both - came back in the same spot the second time. They're fluid filled cysts that can move around - not cancerous or anything but they can move around. They're usually found on the hands/wrist area. Is it big or little?
Hey dr said it's a cyst in the ligament which should go away by itself, I have a sinus infection and also anxiety to top off my depression so got some meds to take which will hopefully help and I've gotta contact king eddies phsycologist centre
Good afternoon ladies.
Both my kids are asleep at the same time!
Well i've gotten inspiration from you Ubba. I decided to write down my happenings today to see if i can get a bit of a routine happening aswell. And so far i'm noticing, because i'm writing it down, i can actually see whats wrong with theo, and what he needs to do next Probably should have done it a while ago But anyway, its helping me realise that when i stick him on the boob, half the time its not even the boobie he wants (mind you he's still quite happy to accept the offer). Alicia you've also helped! I've been kinda following your 2 hour rule. And so far today, theo has been ready for a nap every 2, to 2.5 hours! Thanks matie! I guess i just needed someone to put it so simply for me! xx
So far today this is what we've done.
5:00am - feed
5:30am - hop out of bed
7:30am - rock to sleep
8:15 - wake up
8:45 - feed
10:30 - feed to sleep (had people over so it was easier to feed him than rock)
10:45 - sleep
12:15 - wake
12:45 - feed
2:15 - rock to sleep
to now.
So i'm kinda seeing a bit of a pattern! yay me! I'll keep writing it down over the next couple of days and compare them. Tomorrow might be a bit tough - we've got music lessons at 9:30am. (they only take 45minutes, but its a 40 minute drive in total).
Mon - I'm glad you went and saw the dr about your depression. I hope the medication helps you out a bit.. nothing worse than feel down in the dumps. TBH I think i've got a slight case of depression too.. I think a lot of it stems from the fact the only friends i really have are you ladies What will they do at the phycologist centre? Councelling? Hope it helps you! And great work on the 500 bucks saving. I'm also terrible with money, so 500 bucks sounds like an incredible achievement xx
Snowy - haha! So if you're boobs wern't leaking? Naked? haha! Good to hear i'm really not the only with clothing issues
Hi Mon - oooh did he specifically say a cyst or did he call it a ganglion cause that's what ganglions are, like cysts? They can go by themselves, mine never did so had to have them removed, they wrap their roots around the ligaments in your hands etc., mine were very painful, especially with the line of work and being on the computer all day. They used to hit them with the Bible back in the old days lol, how much would that hurt.
Hi Telly - yay the routine is working, good on you. Maybe you girls didn't like my way of doing it but honestly it's pretty much what Ubba is doing so if you need any advice let me know. It's a godsend for your sanity I swear. Good lucky lovely....I've sent off the card and prezzie to Mon by the way.
Well, the lamb shanks in the slow cooker smell delish!! I'm off to mums group soon and then I have Amelia's 3-4 month checkup with the health nurse at 4.00 pm, was meant to go at 9.30 am but completely forgot! I am hopeless remembering anything I tell you!

Oh no Natty - good luck! Amelia's are not next Monday the one after, dreading it! BTW, love your latest piccies, V is such a pretty little girl. That hair!!! Amelia is so jealous lol. xx
Hi Mon - maybe it's just a plain old cyst then lol. Hope it goes soon!
AFM - My child health nurse appointment went well. I came out feeling so much better about this breast feeding bizzo........she told me to stop worrying about it - didn't attempt to lecture me one bit and in fact told me to ignore anyone who gives me grief and that really the only difference between the two is the immunity side of things which they get from the first few weeks which I did anyway so that's it, I'm not going to beat myself up anymore!!! In fact, she said even though she said they're supposed to sway you towards breast feeding at the end of the day it's really not that different anymore. She said the formulas these days are packed with good things....she said even she had to formula feed one of her 5 children as she went back to work when he was 6 weeks old. She said in those days they didn't express, they either did one or the other. She said that she's obviously healthy and content, it helped that she smiled the whole time we were there hee hee.
So, Amelia is now only in the 75th percentile for height so not sure what happened there given she was in the 90th last time lol....perhaps she's stopped like I obviously did ha ha. She's also in the 75th percentile for her weight......Sheila wasn't concerned at all, she said once they start moving around they'll even out. I don't think she looks fat anyway do you guys? Her head circ is right on the 50th so that's good - don't want her having my husbands big Polish head lol! For those interested Amelia is now 6.3kgs and 61.4cms in length.
Oh and I've decided to go from the infant to crawler size nappies now? Amelia has wet through her nappy at night the last 2 nights in a row and it's waking her up so even though the sticky tags to do them up cross over they give better coverage I think lol.
Well, off to roast my vegies ready for my lamb shanks that have been brewing all day. My house smells divine. Hope you've all had a fab day. xx

Alison: I just nearly choked! No Amelia does not look fat!!! I dont think you should be worrying about her weight just yet! Personally, i'd rather have a larger bub just for piece of mind that they are thriving. So far, Archie has been on the 90th percentile and above for all his measurements.. i'd rather that then the other end of the scale thats for sure. Chubby babies are cute and healthy looking.
Mon: Glad you saw your Doc and are getting something done about the way you are feeling... I really hope this is the step in the right direction that you need and that you start feeling better soon xxxx
Natty: Poor V I'll be thinking of you both tomorrow. Dreading Archie's next lot too. How awful is it?!
Telly: I was thinking of doing the same thing after reading Ubba's post! Maybe i'll do it tomorrow. It is hard with me though cos i don't like staying home all day, everyday i have to get out and go SOMEWHERE! I think its cos i grew up in such a big family and when i'm on my own i get lonely! Don't get me wrong, sometimes i love it, but mostly i am a social butterfly! I wish i lived near you so we could be real life friends.... you'd be my favourite. hahaha! No, seriously, you're gorgeous and, like i've told you before, i love you. hahahahahaha! No but really... I am surprised that you dont have a trillion friends banging down your door wanting to hang out with you every day! I hope you also start feeling better! Get amongst it girly! You're amazing and funny and i'd LOVE to hang with you!
Snowy: I have to wear a bra too! But for a different reason... since i lost all the weight last week, my boobs have SHRUNK!! GODDAMN! So i have to wear a bra to make me look like i've got some! haha!
Ubba: How'd Ruby go with the routine!!!??? Did you get any of your course done?
Hello everyone else!
AFM: Things still the same with dad.. he seems to think they want to amputate.. but i think he might just be feeling a bit down and is thinking the worst. He is having another op tomorrow so i guess we'll find out more after that.. Geez it is so scary, not knowing. My poor mum misses him so much. They are so cute, they've been married 38 years and are still madly in love. I want to be like them at that age. I love my mum and dad.
Archie was a bit grizzly today.. but it was hot and sticky so i guess that is why. I am going to try to stay home tomorrow and maybe clean my poor house!!
Ill try and do some persies seing as it has been all about me tha last few lol.
Kymmy thinking of your dad and family, I guess its times like this when all the little stuff melts away and everyone starts appreciating each other a bit more...Its so nice to hear about parents that are still in love, I want me and dh to be like that too...old ppl holding hands on the beach mmmm
Alison, yep the crawler nappies are great, they hold those explodo poos in for the most part but they do look big to start with...Glad to hear the nurse isit went well, Amelia doesnt look fat but im with Kymmy, dont worry about it. As for bf, ff, I havent recieved as much support for bf as I thought either with everyone telling me I should try ff...I think everyone else should butt out of our babies bizzo and let us make the big decisions about food etc as we have the right to this as their mummies...pffft so there lol...
Heavenly..I hope your lump is ok Glad to hear all is quiet and peaceful on the home front xx
Telly, yep Im on the bandwagon too, Im writing everything down for today but with V getting needles Im not sure it will be very reflective...At least I can look at yours and see the comparison. Id also be your friend, Im moving back to Brissy in under 2 years (probablt north side near Enoggera) and Ill definately catch up with you if you want to. I think you are awesome and Id love a friend like you irl....
Snowy Im the same as you everytime I think Im over the leaking Ill notice a suspicious wet spot grrrr. I wear a bra constantly and its driving me nuts..Mine arent even that big but in the morning whoah porno boobs lol..
Ubba how is the course going? I was only doing every second night too but for the last week or so V has had a bath every night as part of her winding down routine which I think is working but Ill definately take on that info you got from the nurse too as we need a bit more predictability too esp with V starting day care 1 day a week in 2 months...eeeek that makes me so sad..I dont want to but I see how it will help V to adjust for next year and also allow her to mingle with other ppl and kiddies (and germs..)
Hi Alicia long time no see lol but its great to see all the pics on fb, I also need to lose weight dont we all lol lucky you have a PTI to help but I hate working out with my dh its so embarrassing haha...
Well V had her needles this morning but first I dosed her on the highest amount of panadol for her age and after a bit of screaming has passed out in the car then transferred to her cot...not sure how long she will sleep for now but hopefully long enough for the sting to wear off. I tried to bf her but she popped off at the first needle poor baby...
Found out something yesterday one of my friends mentioned if the baby travells around in the cot at night they may be cold so I really tucked V in last night with extra blankets and she only woke once at 3am! hooray! There may be something in that. I feel a bit bad that I havent been putting enough blankets on her..
Its my birthday tomorrow eeewww Im going to be 34...not really much to get excited about but maybe a bbq in the park would be nice if its sunny tomorrow. There is also a reunion for my antenatal class but not sure if I want to go...Im a bit nosey so Ill probably pop in haha..
Not much else here, things are improving all the time, V loving a bit of floor time now but still hates any kind of bouncer just prefers the floor. I looove her so much, starting to dread going back to work, I would love to stay at home but thats not how our house will get paid off lol...
Hi Kymmy - ha ha I'm not worried about Amelia's weight at all, I think she looks fabbo. Sorry your dad is still not well, that's been a bad run for him, wishing him a speedy recovery. I think that's so sweet about your mum and dad being so in love still, sounds like something from the movies, lucky them! Sweet. I'm over the Perth weather, really over it! Rain next week they reckon, wahoo - I hate winter but I'll take anything over these 38 degree days at the mo! Oh and I like to go out too so that routine does work, in fact, it's probably easier for you as you know when your windows are open for going out in between sleeping if you like them to be home for their naps - if they nap...lol. Might have to hang around until they get into the routine but once they are you should be good to go.
Hi Natty - ooh it's your bday tomoz, yay! 34 is nothing, I'm 37 this year, yikes!!! Depressing much?! I see you tried walking with V again and it didn't work? Does she not like being in the pram? I would freak if Amelia was like that seeing as I drag her everywhere with me lol.......like Kymmy I'm a social butterfly so I'm out and about doing things all the time, probably too much. Amelia sleeps in the pram when I'm out shopping etc., thank goodness or I don't know what I'd do.
AFM - well off to aqua class today, it's going to be 38/39 here so not looking forward to the hot steamy indoor pool but I cancelled last time due to the heat so can't really do it again. Besides, I need the exercise! It's also getting Amelia in and out of the car in it too, yuk! The bigger nappies seemed to do the trick last night, Amelia had a great sleep, she woke at 5.00 am jammed up against the cot again so I just moved her back to the middle and she went back down until 7.30 am. Was so cute too cause instead of waking up crying I went in and she was just lying there awake, making her noise that the health nurse said was her way of talking......more like a monotone growl to me ha ha. There's nothing cuter than when they lock eyes on you first thing and give you a big cheesey grin, love love love! Oh and my lamb shanks were yummo last night, got leftovers for tonight, yippee. Who'd have thought you'd get excited over Friday night leftover lamb shanks.......what ever happened to getting excited over which party or restaurant or pub you were going to tonight! lol .......secretly I wouldn't change it for a thing.
Hi Mon - hope you are well, don't forget to let me know when you receive Mikayla's stuff.
Hi Telly, Alicia, Snowy & Ubba - hope you are all well today! xx
