3rd post.... No chance of me doing any cleaning ATM.... Can barely stand up long enough lol

I meant to ask... What are your toddlers sleeping patterns these days? I realise most bubs this age are doing one day time sleep, but I can't seem to get BJ to do only one. If I put him down at 11am he's usually overtied & only sleeps about an hour. It's very annoying. Plus, he is waking at 5.30am (going to bed around 7pm)

Dragon has a really bad sleeping habit (ive been told off by a few people), you've been warned haha

He has one sleep during the day (on most days), it's usually 1-2hrs anytime between 1pm to 7pm. His usual bedtime can fall anytime between 10pm-2am and he usually wakes up between 9am-11am...I never enforced any routine with him thus the unpredictability of his sleeping times which is my fault but it suits us alot better this way. I dont know what i'll do with the next one as i dont really like following routines...

Re nappy rash (cant remember who it was), is your bub growing teeth?? I noticed that when his molars were breaking through he'd get it really bad. Poor babies, hope they get over it soon

TERU I can't believe people tell you off about Dragons sleeping situation. It's none of their business. I'm glad it works for you. Whatever works I say! It was me talking about the nappy rash, and yeah, it does seem like a teething rash/teething poo's but I can't see any new teeth. His 4 eye teeth cut through recently, all at once, but they have already cut. He has his molars etc, just not his 2yr ones yet

At the moment A is mainly having 1 nap, if i'm lucky i get her down anywhere b/w 11 and 12:30 and she will sleep anywhere from 1-3hrs, some mornings she seems to go down about 10 and be up by 12 so i TRY to get her down again about 3:30 for atleast 30min but it hasn't been working... some days she has a 30min nap for the ENTIRE DAY.
She's normally in bed by 8pm and up anytime b/w 6 and 7 (i NEVER get a sleep in).

Teru - i can't believe people have a go about your routine, personally it wouldn't work for me but if it works for you then go with it.
I never really had SET routines with Ava but she pretty much fell into them herself so just went with it, will do the same with Z.

AFM - well i drew up a cleaning schedule as DP and i have been having a few issues and i REALLY needed to get motivated, so far i have stuck with it.. yesterday was vac the entire house, clean the bathroom and do all the washing, today was MOP b4 MG

Ava has been quite good considering she cut her top molars within 3 days of each other (although they are still moving) and her bottom molars look like they are not far off, so looks like possibly 4 molars within 2wks, my poor baby.
She is getting a little to clever for her own good, you can ask her to get the phone and she will bring you the phone, she knows when Zara is sick i use a cloth nappy to wipe her, so the other day we were on the floor and Z spewed all over me so Ava ran and got the cloth , she has quite the vocab but my favourite is still "MUM, MUM, MUM - THERE YOU ARE"...* insert cute little girl voice *

Well i hope your all well, sorry if i have missed anyone from the previous thread... hope all the lil ones are well.

csab - I have found a great health nurse now who isn't concerned at all about Maya. I do still take her to a paed every four months though for a check up because he wants to monitor her closely. He isn't concerned about her but just wants to make sure that she stays on her weight path and doesn't drop down any further. Our next appointment is towards the end of May, so I guess I'll see what he says then.

teru - I ended up looking around until I found a good MCHN who sees Maya for what she is a small, healthy, happy girl who is meeting milestones. So you can shop around for a new MCHN. I am actually going to a different council to see this good MCHN! The passing out sounds scary. Could be PG related?

Georgi - I've always planned to have number 2 next year, so no plans as yet. But I don't know if there will ever be a no.2. It depends on my illness and I have to get off a lot of medications first. So I think the earliest I can even think about it will be next year anyway. Since Maya had the gastro her sleeping hasn't been as good unfortunately. And now I don't know if she'll ever go back to how good it was. But I think she got a UTI after the gastro which hasn't helped her sleeping either!! So before M got sick she was having one nap every day for 2 to 3 hours! (so from about 12.30 to 2.30-3.30). Now she's been only having about an hour. Before being sick she was in bed around 7.30pm and up at 8am. Now she's in bed around 6.30-7pm and up around 7am. I prefer the 8am but I know 7am is still very respectable compared to other kids, so I can't really complain. But its hard to suddenly be getting up an hour earlier every day! And I really miss the extra hour I had to myself during her naps.

So as I said above our latest thing is that we think M has a UTI! After the gastro she kept holding her nappy and crying every so often. I thought it was probably wind pain from the gastro but it just kept going for days afterwards. And she kept waking up many, many times at night and wouldn't have a nap during the day. Finally I thought maybe it was a UTI cos she was holding on to her nappy at the front and crying. Well we took her to a doctor late on Saturday who said she couldn't tell us for sure without a test and our options were 1) go to hospital and wait for hours for a test but get results immediately, 2) get a wee sample and wait till Tuesday for results or 3) give her anti-biotics. I hate the idea of giving anti-biotics without knowing if she really needs them or not, but we chose that option cos it seemed like the most sensible one. Waiting in hospital would have been awful and if it was a UTI waiting till Tuesday would just make it heaps worse. Well I do think it was a UTI because she took a couple of days and then started doing a lot better. Ah well..now I'll never know for sure I guess but at least she does seem to be on the mend from whatever it was!

Moi - i hope you guys are all 100% better now, hope your enjoying your weekend.
Remember to think positive about #2, you never know.. dreams can come true

Hope everyone is well and enjoying their w/end, Ava went and stayed at her nans last night, first ever sleepover somewhere without DP or I and she didn't even care, no tears, slept through blah blah blah... little brat even got up at 6 went in with nanna and slept til 8:30, thats unheard of in THIS household.

My poor princess has cut 3 molars in a week and the 4th is nearly through, it must be HELL for her.. how many teeth do all the other lil ones have, she only had 8 before these.
Am thinking about an amber teething necklace, does anyone else have one and has it made a big difference?

Zarava - Maya has four of her molars, which all came through at the same time, very quickly, a while ago now. Cant remember when. But she is missing her canine teeth. So she has 12 teeth now (her 8 incisors + the 4 molars).

Well I reckon M did have a UTI cos after a couple of days on anti-biotics she started improving and a day or 2 after that went back to her normal self soon after. It's so nice having my happy, healthy girl back.

Ohh and at CC last week she slept for 45 mins on Thursday and then 40 mins on Friday! Which is heaps of sleep for her (compared with her normal no sleep at all or 15 mins if we're lucky). So I'm hoping it's a sign of improvement and not a sign that she was exhausted from being sick.

Moi - Hope you are all feeling better now, poor little M. Hugs Thanks for letting me know about Maya, V is following her own chart too. She still looks little though. Cant wait for her to fill out and grow taller some more. Dont need to see her pead until around September i think.

Zarava - Yay for more teeth, V has had some more poke through too.

Teru - Some people. If only they would keep their opinions to themselves. Your doing a wonderful job. hugs

Georgi - V has one sleep in the day, and then sleeps from around 8.30pm to 6.30am. She normally gets woken up by Dh coming out of the shower or the girls wake her. V always gets the nappy rash everytime she teeths. As did all of my others. hugs She has one now that is from teething.

    Belfie - Hows everything going?

Well V is teething too, I think also coming down with the flu, picked up from DS1 which seems to be also being passed onto me. She had a chucky uppy yesterday but is asleep right now, which she needs. Hope all those precious toddlers are going well. hugs

CSAB - poor little V, I hope she picks up soon! It's never fun when they're sick.

MOI - I'm so glad to hear that M is better, and GL with that heater! Re #2, I know it's so tough for you with such a lot to be taken into account regarding your illness and the meds. I really really hope it all works out & you can keep the attacks under control.

ZARAVA - omg teething is the pits isn't it. X seemed to get his teeth quite quick luckily for us - he's had 16 for quite a while now. I haven't tried the teething necklaces, but I know others who swear by them.

TERU - I agree with the others, it's all about whatever works for you.

GEORGI - re sleep, we're lucky in that X is on 1 day sleep (usually 2-3 hours) and overnight is usually 7-7. He seems to like his little routine and does the same thing at FDC so that makes it easy. So saying, he does tend to get tireder in the morning, and if he doesn't have a proper midday nap I have no chance of getting a second one. Maybe BJ is just transitioning from 2 to 1 naps? That's always a tough time. How are you feeling now? Hope the m/s isn't treating you too badly.

AFM well I got over the hideous gastro and now i have a streaming head cold... arrggh! I'm just praying X doesn't get it now. Luckily my mum is still here so that's making a huge difference (even though she actually gave me the cold!). I'm just trying to rest up and get a bit healthier! X is doing good - his tummy was a bit off for a week or so, lots of unsettled crying wind-pain. So I've got him on probiotics... dunno if it's coincidence but it seems to be helping (or he was just getting better anyway). He's still just the cutest little happy fella - he toddles around grinning at us with his cheeky grin. I've got my 20wk scan tomorrow so we're finding out if it's a pink or blue bundle - I'm SO excited!

I don't know! I've played mind-games with myself, I've dreamt it's a boy, I've been convinced it's a girl, I've decided it's a boy but then something else happens and I change my mind again! Really I have no idea!!! Either will be fantastic, and I LOVE seeing the baby at the 20week scan, it's just so magical.

Belfie - Have you tried the ring test? Placing the ring over your belly with a piece of string or necklace? It really is exciting isnt it, love seeing that little bub waving and kicking. Hows X going today?

belfie - Congratulations on your pink bundle. Are you over your illnesses now? Hope you are feeling better!

csab - M seems to be growing more in height suddenly and doesn't seem as small as other babies at MG any more. So maybe V will have a growth spurt soon too?

Well Maya seemed to be doing heaps better after gastro and UTI but now has a really horrible nappy rash that is making her miserable. Does anyone have a good recommendation for a nappy rash cream? I use Sudocream, but wonder if I should use something else on this nappy rash?

Moi we use Bepanthen and love it, you can buy the nappy rash one or just plain bepanthen and they both work really well.
Poor M nappy rash sucks, how have you been, hows work?

Belfie - congrats on a little girl, they really are precious little things, how you feeling?

AFM - off to the Dr's today all my bones are aching and i am over it, my knee has been sore for 3 days and was swollen yesterday... stupid bones.
Ava is good, doesn't stop talking or moving, if she's not playing she's dancing or following me around the house, she loves her sister so much, she came into our bed today and saw Zara and she points, smiles and says Zara then kisses her and pats her head

    Hope everyone else is well.

Belfie - Woohoo on your pink princess bundle. Just what the DR ordered huh? hehhe

Moi - Thats great M had a growth spurt. I am so hoping V shoots up soon. My fingers are crossed. When she is sitting on the floor she looks soooo tiny, when she is walking around she looks so tiny, when she is sitting in her pram or car seat, she looks quite good. Strange..... I have been using cure rash powder and sudocream together, but lately I mainly use curash powder and ......... resolve plus 1.0(preggy brain) you get it from the chemist, but cant use it everyday, i think for 7days.

Zavara - Hope all turns out ok with your bones. GL at the Dr's. How cute is Ava, I think V will be a great big sister too.

Well V and I still got the flu, hopefully doesnt get any worse. V has this really cute thing she does with her toys. She loves her stuffed toys and dolls. She picks them up, one at a time of course and in this cute little girly voice says, Hello baby, (sometimes Bubby) Ohhhh hello baby, Ohhhhh. Then cuddles and kisses them. hehehe. She is also getting quite the temper with the older kids. She also runs around telling everyone that Aammm (adam) poops. hehehe. She also chases after the kids when they take something she wants, yelling at them Heyyyyy Jazmine Heyyyyy, then screams then Mummmmmmy Mummmmy Heyyyyyy jazmine Heyyyyyy. hehehe
