Pretz - it is so good having my family here lol starting to wonder how i did it without them for so long. i hope you get to go over to SA soon and show off Noah to all your friends and family. how are things coming along with the move upstairs??
Vix - yay on Alannah rolling over and then rolling back. shes a clever girl. i to am relieved that my family are living closer. it still doesnt feel real but ahha i keep thinking when are they going back coz it feels like they are on holiday hahah. im doing the same thing re: the farex, cooper loves all the pureed stuff but the farex must have a funny texture coz he screws up his face and spits it out, so im slowly introducing it.
AFM - im sure there was more that i wanted to write but im having a complete mental blank ill come back if i remember it. im off to make pizza wheels for my big kid to take to work tonight for dinner
beckels sorry for the loss of your DPs dad I hope Madi has been more settled since your last post. look forward to hearing from you again when you are back on aussie soil. take care and thinking of you guys xo
pretz oh okay yeah its not much point forcing him to eat the farex. he will want it when he is ready. i agree i'll just try with V in like another week and see how he goes. meanwhile i bought some pumpkin and stuff to puree and freeze.
raff hope u and coop are well xo
vix thanks oh really you don't think they look alike? everyone says V is me all over. but he definitely has daddys eyes (though you can't tell in the pic of them together because J has his eyes closed). and he does a lot of similar expressions.
WOOHOO to Alannah rolling clever gorgeous girl! ta for the advice about learning his routine, I have been recording feeds and sleeps as much as possible for almost a month, they were soooooooooo all over the place but now i've noticed he has bottles at almost the same time daily. and goes to bed almost the same time at night. we are getting there slowly..
afm
well today I did it, I left V with his daddy for a whole hour. I was a bit nervous. Ended up going to do a few errands, buying lunch, eating some, feeling sick from worry bout what might be happening, threw it out and then drove around aimlessly for 20 minutes because I didn't wanna intrude on his hour hahaha.
But all in all. V was good, and J seemed to do really well. His mum came home from work for a bit to see him and she was nicer to me than ever before (maybe because I let him have a go alone finally). It was nice. He wants to see V as often as he can and he said quote 'i can't expect you to do all the travelling' um, der, told you that weeks ago. LOL. but anyway, I'm happy because he says he will come see V from time to time too.
J is sooooooooooo cute with V too though. He is very gentle and sweet with him, smothers him with kisses and cuddles and stuff. its awwwwwwwwwwwww melts my heart. so glad that Vinny has a daddy who really does seem to love him, even though we've had some hurdles. hopefully he will be an awesome daddy forever. it would be great for V
we are going to a linen party tonight at 730. i can't afford anything, but its at a girlfriends place (the one whose little boy is 3 days younger than V, and we haven't seen them for a few weeks!). will be nice to catch up. hoping my other girlfriend Cat is there too (dare say she will be!).
Brydz - that is wonderful that J and Vinnie have connected. I wondered how you were feeling whilst they had their special time together and I can understand 100% how you feel and I also understand why you are doing it. You should be sainted!
Brydz - glad everything went well with j and he and v are being so cute. Well done you.
Vix - love your avvy
Afm - this is driving me crazy, cooper goes to sleep at 8-8.30 and wakes up at 7, which is freaking sweet, I'm getting loads of sleep right? Wrong!! For some reason I can't sleep. I go to bed at like 10 and I toss and turn til like 2 in the morning and then doze on and off. Its driving me crazy! I walked cooper up the road this morning to my mums house and I've just got back and I'm gonna try get a little kip in then tidy up then go and pick up my monster! I hate palming him off but DF is on night shift and doesn't get home til 2 so we are both buggered! Ahhh...
vix
thanks. yeah it was hard leaving him. but my motherly instincts just told me that it was okay. because of the way I saw them interact at my place. hoping to go to Bendigo and leave him with his daddy again over the weekend for an hour or so. Unless he calls and says he'll come here..
raffy
oh hun I know how much does it suck not sleeping! I hate when that happens. Usually it is when V sleeps well that I don't.
Saw ur pic of coops in the bubba competition for bonds. will vote for him, once its open to voting. going to enter V too but struggling to choose which picture..
afm
gotta sort myself for going back to work so I need to find and pay for and do a first aid course (mine is outdated). unfortunately since I left work and don't have a job to go back to it may be harder for me to get one, because of the changes to the national registration and now that they prefer med endorsed enrolled nurses (or div 2 as we used to call ourselves).
I looked into the med course today, and it turns out the ballarat uni is having their maths/english entry test TONIGHT! how about good timing for enquiring into that!! I have to be there at 6. better find somewhere online to practice crunching some numbers cos i'd feel stupid if I flunk it, but i haven't done maths for years so it may be a bit rusty..
awesome news
VINNY SLEPT THRU last night. the first time in a whole month! it was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good I got 9 hours sleep (he had 10).
would love for him to do it again but i'm not gunna get my hopes up.
Hi guys
Sorry I haven't been in here much lately. I've been trying to keep up though
Happy 4 months to Cooper. And to my pretty Summer. It was a year ago yesterday I got my BFP. I did write a little post for her yesterday Here
Poor bubba had her first taste of panadol today. She wasn't impressed! Alot easier than giving it to the older kids though!
She's choked up & feverish. Was up every 2 hours last night. Looking alot brighter now the panadol's kicked in though.
Taking her to get weighed tomorrow hopefully. Would try getting her needles too, but she's not healthy enough for me to get it done atm.
She's been pooing up a storm too! Every nappy change is a pooplosion & some she hasn't even had the chance to wet yet!
So sorry to those of you who lost family members over the past few weeks 2011 has been pretty harsh so far.
Brydz - I'm so happy to hear about the way things are going with J at the moment Hope they keep improving!
Oh nice, sounds like another dirty nappy already & the others aren't dry yet! (crappy rainy weather!)
thanks brydz - ill vote for Vinny to when the votes open a huge huge goodluck for tonight. i will keep all my fingers and toes crossed you do well, which im sure you will
Clover - happy 4 months to miss Summer to. sorry to hear shes poorly, coopers getting his needles on monday at 9am, DF doesnt start work til 4pm so he can come with me which is good, coz no doubt i will cry. hope Summer starts to feel better really really soon, and have fun with those pooplosions
AFM - soooooooooo ive now had AF for 12 days and still quite consistent!!!!!!!! last cycle AF last 5 days and the whole thing went for 29 days (which is spot on for me) so i thought i had jagged it lucky and just gone straight back into my loverly, on the dot, could set your clock by it, regular cycle! but 12 days, i mean come on, thats a little excessive!! im having hardly any pain (except a little bit on and off today) and its not heavy but still, im very much over it!! grrrr
Not that I no of. I'm going to the doctors on Monday so I'll ask her about it, sorry for tmi but its really smelly and having quite a bit of thin runny CM? Does that mean anything?
Nikki - HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE 's!!! I'm sooooooo sorry to hear about your Nan honey. Please know that you and your family are in my thoughts.
Vix - Yes, reno's can just cause mess/koas and it's certainly something I don't want to even THINK about again for a very, very, very long time! Although, the bathroom and kitchen isn't finished, although it shouldn't cause TOO much of a mess thankfully. Yay on Alannah rolling over back to front and the other way, how very exciting!! Noah still only rolls from back to sides and from tummy to back, but happy with that. How did you go checking out the solid food info on the Heinz site? Love your new avvy!
Raffy - I have done most of the unpacking for upstairs, although there's a few more boxes downstairs that I need to unpack, most of it is plastic stuff for the kitchen, but I'm not going to unpack it until we have our kitchen properly finished. Other than that it's nice to have everything in it's place again and to find stuff. It was soooo cluttered living downstairs, especially with a baby too! lol Sorry to hear that you haven't been sleeping well, even though Coop's is sleeping well. Could it possibly be related to your meds your taking for the PND? Sorry to hear about AF too. Hope it goes away for you soon. If it continues I would get it checked out by the doctor, just to rule out something like an infection like Clover mentioned...
Brydz - I'm so glad and happy to hear that J has been spending time with Vinny and that they are able to spend quality time together. I hope and pray that it continues and that J will continue to be in Vinny's life and spending time with him. It makes it so much easier and it is less stressful that way too. So happy for you honey!! Excellent that Vinny slept through last night, that's fantastic you lucky ducky! I hope that it all goes well with your test and I'm sure you'll pass with flying colours. When do you know the results? Straight away or later?
Clover - Sorry to hear that Summer isn't well. Hope she gets better soon and that her nappies dry soon too! The wet can really suck when you're trying to get things dry!! Happy 4 months to Summer today!
Hello to everyone else!
AFM, had my operation yesterday and it went well. I got there at 8:30am and left at 13:45pm. The nurses were really sweet and they kept me there an hour longer to sleep as I have been soooooo exhausted lately from the long nights of constantly waking with Noah. lol From the general anaesthetic I had it was great to sleep for a couple of hours and go into a deep sleep without being woken straight away. When MIL picked me up from the hossy afterwards, I went back to her place and slept another 3 hours so felt like a million bucks when I woke. I'm still in a bit of pain, but thankfully panadol every 4 hours is taking the edge off the pain and at least the pain isn't as bad as it was when I tore during child birth. I got 3 stitches this time and have to see my OB/Gyn again in 6 weeks (on 24 March) for a follow up and he said that he'd do an internal then to make sure that it healed properly this time. lol Poor DH wasn't very pleased because we thought it'd only be 2 weeks before we'd be able to DTD again, but my OB/Gyn said yesterday "no hanky panky" for 4 weeks! lol MIL came over today and helped me out with some washing and cooked us dinner, bathed and put Noah to bed for me, which is why I'm finally getting a chance to get on here and have a bit of time to myself.
Speaking of time to myself - I'm about to go through some photos and then make myself a nice cuppa tea and watch a couple of episodes of my shows. Hope you all have a lovely evening!
Hi everyone,
I am here and keep up to date, just don't have much time to post!!!
Firstly, my thoughts are with everyone who has lost someone dear to them...big hugs xx
Everyone else, hope you are enjoying being mummies!! Clover - sucks summer is not well, hopefully see is on the med, Pretz - fingers crossed for a quick recovery, ouch!!, Brydz - yay for everything going well with J, Raffy - yuk for 12 days of AF, if it is really smelly i would go get checked out just to be safe!
AFM - Ty has his needles yesterday, was a little trooper and so far so good! He is now 7.84kg, 67cm long & head 44.5cm, so powering along. He rolls from his tummy to back when he feels like, 10 times in 1 day then not again for a week!! Loving him so much, with all the smiles & squeals & giggles he is adorable. He is off his reflux meds now and all seems good. He still chucks like a tropper but i am used to having "spew rags" everywhere now and the constant washing is just part & parcel. Just waiting for the day (sometime in the next year hopefully!!) that he will grow out of it. Have tried him on some apple & farex, likes it & doesn't spit or thrust it out, just not that interested so will just try little bit when i feel like it. Might try some pumpkin next week, but hesitant due to orange spew!! hehehe.
Other than that he is sleeping great & being a cute little boy, we just got back from 2 weeks holidays so must be off an try & get some work done!!!
pretz - thats great that everything is going wel regarding moving upstairs. and that your op went well and you got to have a big deep sleep, at your poor DH being diapointed at having to wait 4 weeks lol i hope everything goes well when you see your ob/gyn again sorry to see on fb that Noah didnt sleep well last night, i hope he sleeps better for you today and tonight so you can catch up
Sparkles - im glad everything is going well with Ty, tell me bout it, how cute are the giggles and squeals. melts my heart. thats awesome hes enjoying the apple nd farex, good luck with the pumkin, i hope he doesnt chuck it up, maybe wear black JIC Cooper had banana and avacado yesterday, his face was hillarious, i thought it was super tasty and eventually so did cooper and kept opening his mouth for more. hope you enjoyed your holiday
Clover - wooooohooooo on Summer rolling over!! thats sooo awesome. enjoy your coffee and cant wait to hear how big Sum is.
AFM - just found out today that DFs bro and sis are going to pay for us to come over to perth for his mums 50th in march but nothing on FB coz its gonna be a suprise!! im soooo excited, but worried about flying with Cooper again. he'll be almost 6 months old so hopefully he handles it well anyways off to drop DF at work and then having a girly day (plus cooper) with my mum and sis, xx
Well... today didn't go as planned. DS didn't wanna stay at day care without me, so I hung around & never made it to the health nurse.
Wednesday! I'll have to write a list!!
Raff, I need you're IL's I wanna go see my bro & SIL near perth, but I'll wait til the bubba comes in June. Even then I'll be lucky to afford it
It has been a crap start to 2011 for you ladies.
Sorry to hear bout all the loved ones passing Beckels, Nikki and Clover (read about yours at 365 project).
I'm really hoping this year isn't another year of losses in my life. Last year was definitely bad enough. (actually now that I think of it my cousin lost her bub already this year..).
Sending happy healthy vibes to you all and your loved ones from here on out for the rest of the year! xoxoxo
afm - going to a friends daughters party at 12 (she is turning 5) gotta go down the street beforehand and get her a pressie (not sure if anything is open though on a Sat morning...). then tomorrow J is apparently coming over again to see V
