Well just wanted to pop on and tell you all about the birthday party we went to today (FDC lady's 2 daughters, one turned 5 and one turned 2). What they did was hire out the local YMCA hall (with all their play equipment included) and just turned the kids loose to play with everything. The mothers/MILs and sisters all brought the food, FDC lady made the cakes and a neighbour sent along a clown/magician friend (who did magic tricks and balloon animals) ...they had masses of guests and it was pouring with rain but it didn't matter one jot. TOO EASY!

Gypsy- Yep we are toilet training. I find it all too hard. I do put livi in undies and let her run around every now and then especially when she plays outside. She always pee's her pants and starts screaming as she hates it. I do have a potty. When we are on the toilet she loves to take her nappy off and sit on the potty. she has pee'd once on the potty.
Woohoo Iam going to pink tonight and looking forward to it.

Gypsy how was it seeing your friends little twins?? L goes on the potty before a shower and if I get signs he wants to wee or poo during the day (I am usually to late lol). He loves his undies though and often wears them over a nappy. We arent in a hurry though and figure summer will be a good time to TT.
AFM not much happening here, L is great and starting to talk more. He really is such a joy, he is so affectionate and I am often getting cuddles and kisses without asking and he says luff ya. Looks like it might be a rainy week here and I have loads of washing to catch up on.

Ange: nth qld is nice. mum lives in townsville and magnetic island is just of its coast. very nice. popular holiday spot in the 50s and 60s and still has the feel. otherwise stuff it all, get the kidlets some passports (you can fast-track them) and head to Fiji. cheap awesome holidays. we try to go at least once a year. off that way in January.

Gypsy: leila is pretty similar with the TT. we have a potty but she hates it, so we sit on the toilet and do the wipes and the like. of course, she does nada, zip, nothing until out in the kitchen and does a wee or poo as i am searching for a nappy
Noni: we had a similar *moment* this morning with DH. he was a grumpy bum big time. ah well, i pay him no heed. of course when is short with leila then i step in, but then, i expect him to do the same when i am short with her IYKWIM.
Rainy: *wolf whistles* looking pretty hot there! love the dress!!
AFM: we are back on the happy boat. Leila has purged all remnants of kiwi fruit from the system and is back in action as the happy baby. her early wake-ups are still a shock to the system, but we have managed to at least keep it til 6.30am at the earliest. and yeah, there was some ignoring going on. she wouldnt cry, but would yell out: 'SHOES!', 'WALK!' over and over again. after 5/10 minutes we would drag our sorry bums out (or rather, DH would LOL!).
no luck on the house . our bid was outbidded. but that's okay. also lost out on the auction too. back to the drawing board.
MD-that party sounds like lots of fun. Did they do a theme for the cake(s)?
Oz-pink tickets for August is way cool. How many wks will u b? I remember going to Kylie when I was about 24 wks, two tickets for the price of one. Lol. Jealous of u getting loads of cuddles + kisses + saying luff ya! Wow, that's my dream! Ha. Little missy here is way too independent for any of that nonsense

AFM: I feel like a terrible mum. I opened the car door too quickly + T fell out onto the gravel face first, got a whopping big bruise and wound on her forehead + nose. Poor thing. I didn't even see she was behind the door coz of tinted windows + I was concentrating n something else. I hope it heals ok.

HI everyone. Re the party - Katie, only Missy E went - she had a blast but she took control of the giant pink slippery dip and started screaming NO MINE every time another child came near PMSL. DD1 was a tad jealous until we reminded her she's had 11 years of birthday parties none of which DD2 was ever invited to LOL. Supa she did 2 cakes - constructed out of biscuits and cream somehow (??) and the 5yo had a bratz picture & the 2 yo had a Dora picture. I think she just cut them out of cardboard and stuck them on - nothing fancy but it looked GREAT.
Supa - have you seen the thread about the BB meet up dinner in Adelaide on July 3rd...I'm planning to go (health allowing). Don't feel bad about the car door incident, sometimes accidents happen. xx
Leanne - have a blast at Pink! My sis is a complete Pink nut and she has lured DD1 over to the pink side LOL.
Clare man I"m getting so bummed for you, hearing about *yet another* house. If you moved to Adelaide you could find a mansion for that price!! Glad you made a connection between the kiwi and the crazy-making L! MIght be worth checking out if any other fruit sets her off too. Sometimes it's the thing you least suspect.
Noni - gosh it is getting so close for you as well!! Don't freak out, it aint worth it. If i can get a boob chopped darling having a baby's a cinch. LOL
PP - haven't heard from our lovely pregsagain today...ooooh getting very exciting there!
Toilet training - oh soooooo not going there until at least October. I think E is probably aware enough at this point but I think it works much better when you can send them out ot play in the garden with nothing on their bottom half at all. Bit fresh for that here.
Am definitely decided on an ITNG party for Missy E this year, we had the DVD on yesterday to show my sister (who never heard of it) and Miss E was just beeeeeeside herself with joy. I've got a cake planned in my head too.
Supa: oh no! poor T! we had something similar happen when DD was behind a door at home and DH came barrelling in man-style. it was pandemonium.
MD: i was so thinking the same thing about PP!! LOL! but then i vaguely remember her mentioning a long weekend away this last one gone...
yeah, we were gutted this weekend. it was the dream house. now with a dream price tag LOL!
Leila has no fav show! i've tried ITNG (i love it LOL!), but nup, she aint playin'. so have no idea. i would love a theme as it does give me focus...
she does like shoes so maybe a 'mini-imelda' theme. although not sure if i want to support that in case leila does become a ruler of a small island nation....but a shoe cake would be cool...

As for ITNG MD, let me know if you want to borrow a multitude of toys. I have most of them (thanks MIL) stuffed, talking, and mini plastic ones. As well as the Ninky Nonk (thats the train isn't it, brain meltdown today) and Iggle Piggle in his boat. Oh, and the dvds and books
I'm gonna get tickets to her newly released Bris concert. Was ****ed to not be able to get the previous release ones but am so gonna be there this time. I went to the 2007 concert at 20 weeks preggers and S loves Pink to this day. We rock out on the car and as a baby it calmed her down whilst driving too.
Anyhoo...I'm having one of those days so won't stay on here and bring you guys down. So nighty night and fingers crossed for a better tomorrow

had a really really bad morning this morning.went down to drop lewis off at occasional care- i hadn't had a shower or breakfast yet or anything..thinking i would be straight back home in 5mins..but no! he absolutely cracked it like i've never seen him crack itbefore. i ended up staying the whole 3 hours.... the truth of the matter is he's just not ready...and i'm not ready either...so i'm pulling him out tomorrow. it broke my heart today.
Aww Rainy - you poor thing. Do you think maybe he just had an "off" day? They do get a bit clingy around this age, we've had a few mummy's-leaving tears from Missy E recently and yet she's happy as apple pie at care and excited to go.
Poor Rainy-ouch mastitis! Go get it checked out and get some cream. Rest up sweetie.
Hey MD- I keep meaning to remember to say of course I am happy to have the pics of the kidlets on the web. Let me knw which site it is. Also the ITNG theme sounds fab! U could even do a pinata. Newspaper on a balloon with paper mache glue and have one for each of the kidlets to take home. Bit o' work though.
Clare- I can't believe u missed out on the house again. I hope u find one soon that is all urs.
Kate-a shoe cake would look awesome. T loves shoes too. U could always do a copy of one of her fav shoes.
Noni- my mum + I r booked to go to melb for that stitches + quilting show in Aug. By then (if all goes to plan) I will b 11 wks pg when mum + I fly there. I want to tell her that I am pg but am worried to tell her in case she isn't excited. Coz she had my brother last she has had a lot of work and I am wondering if ur mum was as happy for u when u told her about ur 2nd pg? Its like she thinks I won't b able to cope. My parents don't have much faith in me. She told me the other day she can't understand girls that have heaps of kids coz they have a lot of help from grandparents, she thinks they palm off responsibility. As u all know my MIL minds T one day a week + TAFE (which she doesn't agree with), anyway....
poor rainy sounds like yest was awful for you... hope you are feeling a bit better now?? if not go to dr my sweet!!! do what you think is best re the care but i thik the odd clingy day or getting upset is normal and this is a bit of a stage now perhaps... to be honest if you left he prob would have been able to be distracted quickly and be happy... but you are his mummy and you know what is best so maybe give it a few months and try again - it sounds like it was bad and broke your heart so if it isnt right fo ryou guys now, it isnt right! iw as thinking you were sipping latte with jimmy and having a baked treat!

sorry have been a bit mia lately - i find now i am not working (HOORAY) i am on the comp less... today is really 1st day of real mat leave (as i had N on fri and DH stayed home yest) and i am stil in my pjs. having a relaxed day but do havea lot of things i want to get done and also we have people coming over for dinner so i will do a bit of a cook later...
